The hotel was gorgeous the staff was super friendly and the whole experience was amazing. I really enjoyed that everything was all in one building the shopping mall attached to the hotel everything air-conditioned but yet you can still go out on the balconies and see the river and have a beautiful view of the city. The beds were really comfortable the only complaint I would have is no microwave in the room.

We started our NOLA exploration at your restaurant because everybody recommended it. But were highly dissapointed( Service was not friendly/welcoming and a little slow. 2 signature drinks(Hurricane) were made with a cheap liquor and tasted so bad that I didn't even want to give it another try at the other places. Raw oysters didnt taste good. They tasted different from oyster to oyster and had a wired texture (and i love oysters and eat them all the time). For the same money you can get amazing service and delicious food anywhere else in CBD

Housekeeping and room service staff were friendly and thorough while being efficient. Front desk staff could take a lesson from them. Was rudely talked to by one of the female front desk agents after arriving after midnight because of a severely delayed flight into New Orleans when trying to get a key card to my room after digital check in also bottled water was not offered as part of Hilton Honors membership. Upon checking out, I had to wait 50 minutes in the line for Hilton Honors as it was staffed with two people (of which one went on break while there were 20+ people in line) and three agents were checking out for non-members. It took someone hunting down a manager to bring out an additional person for the Honors Members. Luckily, I didn't have to rush to catch a flight unlike others in the line. Lesson learned: Hilton Honors membership means nothing at this hotel.

Check-in was least enjoyable of any Hilton I ever stayed.

When you follow Google navigator you will see a round about. Don't go around. Don't try to drive to the big Hilton Sign across the tracks. The hotel was marked as the parking garage, I suggested a change of the marker to the alley that you turn down to check in.

I have a few nights left so maybe my opinion will change.

I went here to visit Dragos with my boyfriend for my 24th birthday. They were busy so everything was extremely rushed. My order was slightly wrong which wasnt a huge deal, but it didnt end there. They forgot both my boyfriend and I's crabmeat in our entrees. Then once brought to us the crabmeat was full of shells. Almost every bite had a bit of shell in it. My boyfriends shrimp also had a sharp shell in it that he winded up having to pull out of his throat. The waitress brought us food that we didnt even order. We also had to wait for her to bring us our check for about 20 minutes. I do understand that they were busy, but I think for the price we paid that is no excuse to have as many errors as we did.

Great location and staff. Close walk or a short cab ride to most of what there is to see in New Orleans. The room was clean and comfortable. I think you get more than expected for the rate. We don't travel for the accommodations but to tour where we're visiting, but we were very happy to rest our heads at this Hilton.

The hotel is big and nice overall. I was there for meetings for work and everything ran fairly smooth for hotel meetings. My only complaint is that some of the services that are typically included with a hotel stay where extra charge. For example if you wanted to work out at the gym it was $15 instead of just saying complimentary further guess. Also wasn't a fan of the overall check-in process. There was information for my group that was supposed to be included that had been worked into our group rate that was not included. It was an easy fix, but the lack of organization is usually very telling.

We only worked sessions of a conference here. Hotel is beautiful and clean. Our production room for video crew was clean. Mostly staff was responsive to cleaning needs. We were also at convention center and had a problem with bugs and rats. NO bugs or rats here and we had food out all night. Biggest complaint was twice as we were working, I requested ice and it never came. Kudos to Kenny managing the banquet in the Grand Ballroom on our last day 6/28. He got us ICE!! He was also the only manager who did not give us problems when we requested meals for the crew. He went above and beyond, providing all the parts of the meal and a person to take care of us. Sorry I didn't get your last name...thank YOU!

The young girl at checkin was very rude today! Her name was Shawonda. Every question we asked her, she cut us off and would not let us finish talking. She also kept rolling her eyes. We had to ask to speak to someone else because of her attitude. This honestly made us not even want to stay at this hotel anymore. A lady named sunshine ended up helping us and she was really kind and checked us in with no problem. Also, some of our towels had mildew all over them.

The only problem we had was there was a problem with our reservations. They moved us to a different rook mid-stay but made up for it my giving us an upgrade. The rooms were clean. Check in and check out was easy at the front desk. Parking was $30 a night to use Hiltons lots. Good location. Bit of a walk from Bourbon but it's right at the end of the riverwalk.

Beautiful hotel. I had a great night sleep. My bed was awesome. Great customer service. Your food and bar are incredible in service and food.
My only problem was waiting in line to check in for 30+ minutes. I kinda felt like Walmart. A lot of people waiting but only 2 people working. To close this another person came from the back and check in one person and went to the back then another came to help.
Oh by the way, I'm a Honor Hilton member too.

One star for extremely loud noises from 1 am to 4 am on both nights we stayed at this hotel and the staff s help . The sound was like a cross between a vacuum cleaner and jackhammer and was heard throughout the entire ninth floor. When we called the front desk the first night they claimed it was the pipes. Literally this noise did not start until around 1 am so pipes really made no sense. The second night they sent someone to check it out . The loud noise continued and no sleep was had for a second night in the row. Just sucks because it would have been a great experience if not for having to try to sleep in what sounded like a construction zone.

Essence festival lodging destination location ever...

Essence festival lodging destination location every year I go. Which happens to be Every year. Excellent customer service especially considering literally hundreds of thousands of people are in the city, the hotel is packed to capacity not to mention those visiting those visiting. If that makes sense. We perform our SET Network comedy show in the spacious Ball Rooms and they are always resoundingly successful!

The Riverside Hilton is a decent hotel. It's pretty big and the rooms are about average. There are nice views as well if you stay in the right rooms. The location is very good as it's close to Bourbon Street and a lot of other things.

Good location. The walls are thin and can hear everything. The Pool on 3rd floor is small. When you arrive to the hotel their is no sign to indicate where check in. Desk is. You have to ask someone and the one desk that is in front is for the excursions. I have to say the good part is the location. It s close to down town but not too close to all the noise. Very clean. Very pretty. The breakfast deli their only has pre made sandwiches and not many to chose from. No microwave. The seafood restaurant is very good. The bar is very clean and is open pretty late.

The Hilton New Orleans Riverside is your typical Hilton property. Everyone from the bellman to the front desk staff are very professional. Though we were in the middle of Mardi Gras the front desk staff moved the check in lines along in an efficient manner.

The rooms are a little small and dates but are clean with all the amenities on would need. I found the commission of a minibar a little irritating. There is a mini fridge so you can stock the beverages you purchase either from the lobby or off-property.

There is a Starbucks in the lobby, which is a plus. WiFi is strong throughout the hotel and relatively fast.

The cherry on top though is the excellent Drago's Seafood Restaurant on the ground level of the hotel.

Despite knowing how many people were arriving the front desk was understaffed. Hotel room was clean and everything worked as expected. Keurig coffee maker, bring your own K cups to be satisfied. Parking fee is high $44 for self park.

Huge hotel in walking distance from riverwalk and casino. Nice rooms and great room service. The only downside is that the check in process took forever. They seem to not have enough check in desks for amount of people who stay here.

Rent a cop security would rather you get hit by cars in circular drive then let your driver pick you up in front. It's a night mare trying to find a driver or your parked because of the disorganization by someone who is suppose to be out there directing traffic.
Smartass attitude and rude . Needs to be fired.
Hotel has been their for years. Overrated because of location.
Do yourself a favor stay at the Westin or Le Merdian.
Better rooms, service, and atmosphere.
WILL not get my business again!

I am extremely disappointed with our stay. I am writing this as we leave, June 2019. This is the 4th time that we have come to New Orleans, but our first time at this hotel. I believe that most of these are fake reviews. The beds are hard (not firm). The hotel is a huge maze, so you need to walk through multiple lobbies, and take multiple elevators and escalators to get to your room. I requested extra pillows, and it took two phone calls and hours of waiting for them to get here. The hotel is right next to a train, and construction started right outside at 6am. The check in line is extremely long. The restaurant downstairs is very overpriced, slow, and the food is very subpar. My family ordered all different meals and every one was not good. I will be complaining at the front desk, and will certainly never stay here again.

Beautiful place with an outstanding view. The immediate shops and restaurants in the hotel are overpriced. However you do not have to travel far to find affordable food or entertainment. Recommend a walking tour with Know Nola Tours. The tour guide was born and raised in the area and can trace their lineage back over for generations still within the city's boundaries. The guide, Malik Bartholomew, is a very charismatic, honest, knowledgeable, and genuine individual.

I'm at the front end of my long visit and everyone I've met so far has been really friendly and helpful. Housekeeping missed my room the first day, but we left our room pretty late, so no big deal. Both my Uber drivers recommend Dragos, especially for oysters, but I haven't ventured there yet.

This hotel is beautiful and has a great location by the river. The people who work here are very friendly too. However, for the price, we expected there to be a microwave in the room. We had letovers from eating out and wasn't able to enjoy them because there was no way to heat them. Everything is more expensive in this area so this felt like a waste!

Not only that, but the bed was so hard and super uncomfortable. The pillows were awful too. It was like they were full of air and depleted as soon as you lay on them. My husband and I both slept fitfully and had backaches the next morning.

I doubt we will ever come back to this hotel simply because when we go on vacation we we want to relax and return home rested. That is impossible with such an uncomfortable bed. We were very disappointed.

I'm torn about this place. Drago's restaurant is great and the overall hotel is nice but I had a rough experience this trip. My room was marginal as it seemed really dated. I was stuck on the 5th floor which gave me no view as a parking garage was outside of my window and this made my room seem really dark. The key system was a mess as I would get all the way to my room and my key would not work. Probably happened 8 times. The worst part about this was that I had to go all the way back to the lobby and get back in the check-in line (always a line) in order to get another key. Others had this experience also and a customer service line strictly for keys would have been much appreciated. Lastly, the train makes for a great alarm if you want to wake up about 5:00 am. Very loud after a night out on the town.

Rooms were nice and clean but I was shocked to hear a knock on the door at 8.15 and being asked "are you checking out today"? How rude is that? Are you dealing with children? Reading through reviews of this location it seems there is a problem with staff professionalism at this location which is not being actioned by management . That's a pity

We stayed here April 29-May 1st for Jazz Fest. The hotel was clean, but the service was just awful. I am a Hilton Honors member and expect more from Hilton hotels. Our flight landed at 6:05 in the morning. We were aware that check in wasnt until 3, but figured we would drop our bags off and see if they could check us in early or let us know when our room was available. So after a quick breakfast we headed to the hotel and drop off our bags at the bell hop and then asked to check in. Of course the room wasnt ready, which was fine. But we were told that they would text us soon when it was available, and it shouldnt be too long. Flash forward to almost 3:30 (clearly after check-in) and we hadnt heard back. So I called to find out the status and got some rude lady on the phone who acted irritated that i had the nerve to check the status. So she put me on hold and came back and claimed "max was supposed to have texted you, the room is ready, but whatever its ready" ok, so i go to check in and am met with the same rude response, first he claimed he couldnt find my reservation, then after searching tried to put me in a two queen room and when i pointed out i paid extra for a king river view, he rolled his eyes and eventually was able to find one. so we checked in. The room was very clean, the view was great. However, everyone who worked there seems to have an attitude. The servers at their breakfast restaurant took 15 mins to take a drink order and didnt come back to take our food order for 30 mins after that, and seemed bitter that we wanted to order and not just eat off the buffet. The housekeeper banged on the door even after we told them we were getting dressed and to come back later. We asked for extra pillows upon checkin and they never arrived even after calling and asking again. Overall it was just poor customer service.
