This is a large hotel, but the spacious rooms are in good condition and have nice amenities. The in-house dining options are also good. The best feature is the connection to the neighboring Outlet Mall. If the weather is bad and you want to kill some time, it's a great option. There you will even find a branch of Cafe Du Monde complete with fresh beignets. Finally, the friendly front desk staff will even provide you with free bottled water if you are a member of the Hilton HHonors program.

Walking distance to the convention center, french quarters and the mall, nice view of the river; registration staff was very nice and helpful however getting in to the shuttle to the convention center was frustrating. I had my badge and the driver did not allow me to go in to the shuttle... ridiculous.

Beautiful Hilton Riverside, New Orleans. This city is not sleeping tonight. The Lundi Gras night parade/birthday celebrating 300 hundred years has begun. The Zulu King has been crowned and presented to the city. New Orleans is in full effect on the Riverwalk fireworks and all.

Service is so horrible here. These people don't see black skin even though they have black skin staff. We sat at the oysters about 5 to 10 minutes before a white couple came to sit very next to us. The waitress passed by us more than 10 times to ask the white couple what they want to eat and serve them food and drink etc. She did not say a word to us. Finally, the chef (thank God a black handsome man!) realized that we were been neglected. He approached us and offered us something to eat. After the chef brought us the food to eat, we could not find any knife, spoon and folk on the table. We saw a different waitress passing by and asked her to give us some spoon and folks to eat the food that was just brought to us by the chef. This waitress left and never came back for over 10 minutes. We saw another one passing by and asked her same and we were lucky this time to have folks to eat the food.
In addition to this, front desk talks to you as if there is no other hotel on planet earth. Very arrogant people. The front desk agent was frowning his face as if my check-in was irritating him. Lucky us though, we got a smile from the check-out front desk lady when we were checking out yesterday morning. I go to conferences all the times and stay at the hotel hosting the conference. This was by far my worst experience and I have discussed this with the conference organizers and their networks and suggested to them to erase this Hilton from their list of potential conference centers. In conclusion, my simple advice, if you are black, please stay away from this hotel.

This hotel is pretty mediocre. Although the room isn't overtly dirty, it isn't overtly clean either. Upon our arrival, the room smelled like a broken vacuum motor/smoke. There's also a little dust on to of the wooden furniture and an empty water bottle from a previous guest under one of the dressers. The condition of the room is surprising, considering the cost and supposed quality of the hotel. There's a pool and an outlet mall attached to the hotel which is a plus. Location is also a plus. There's tons of stuff to do within walking distance. Still, probably wouldn't recommend this place to a friend. I'm still here but I'm reluctant to report these issues because I really don't want to get anyone in trouble (I know, I know). If you'll be traveling and won't spend a ton of time in your room, this may work. Also there's a $12/day fee for use of the gym that I don't recall seeing on the website. There's free WiFi but it's really slow so you'll have no choice but to pay for an upgrade if you need it.

Very convenient to the French Quarter. Comfortable rooms. Quite a bit of walking to get to some of the rooms. Loved the fact that the Creole Queen was docked right behind the hotel. The very large mall downstairs was great.

Good location although you won't think so when you first arrive. It looks secluded bit it is actually minutes from the French Quarters and Bourbon Street. Also attached to a nice outlet mall and near great restaurants. Hotel is nice but typical. Nothing extravagant. No complaints though.

We have stayed here 2 times, and will do it again. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The location allows for easy access to the French Quarter or Burbon Street via staged taxis or you can walk. The hotel has a connected outlet mall for shopping.

Visited for 5 nights, the rooms were clean, staff friendly. We hated it because we heard every sound coming from the other rooms and corridor and vise versa, one person even banged on the wall telling us to keep it down while we tried to conduct business on the phone, like if it was a cheap motel we paid for. Very disappointing. Will never be staying at another Hilton. It was our first time with this hotel, never had this problem at other hotels...

Horrible mattress, no conditioner (empty bottle in the shower), not enough towels for 4 people, line to check in took almost an hour. Only reason for the 2 stars is the bellmen who were wonderful.

With a hotel with the reputation of a Hilton you would expect some kind of experience worthy of their name. The staff was not happy to see us. The bell service had bad attitudes and didn't want to be there. When the bell finally brought our luggage up, they delivered other people's bags with our bags. They closed their pools early because it was at the security teams "convienance". The rooms were outdated and the beds were not comfortable. The air conditioner kept shutting itself off. It was set for 60 to get it to read 77 in the room. The bathroom door was very difficult to open and close and is very loud to open which wakes everyone up at night if you have to go in there. There was no cold water anywhere. Water was warm or hot. Everyone we came in contact with was not happy to be at work. Attitudes everywhere. The girl at the convienance store did not want to be there. I am left with a bad impression and will probably not stay at Hilton again.

Stayed there before heading out a cruise to Mexico. The room was spacious. The restaurant was great. Not far, just walking distances to the French Quarter. A great places to rest your head and enjoy the nightlife.

This hotel is old and lacks some modern amenities. Drago's is pricey, but has 7/10 food. The hotels location is its best quality, as it is across the street from Harrahs and close to the French Quarter.

I stayed here a couple of weeks ago for a conference. I had a very early flight arrived in NOLA so tired. Kesonde (sp?) checked me in early and I shared my exhaustion with her. She told me she d let me know if a room came available. Less than an hour later, she messaged to let me know a room was ready. First class service at this comfortable, clean hotel. Thank you Kesonde!

Nice location convenient to shopping and dining. Easy walk to Bourbon Street and other tourist areas. The staff is friendly and beds are comfy. Can't ask for much more than that. Pricey though.

We stayed here for a convention and had a lovely time. Liam went above and beyond to have vegan meals made for our breakfast and ready when we came down in the morning. Such a blessing to have someone like that on your staff.

Nice Hotel, unfortunately unable to keep room reserved. Reserved a king and even though 20+ year honors member was given a downgrade rather than an upgrade. Not my first problem with Hilton not giving loyal honors program a better deal. Losing even more of my business. Moved many of my stays to Marriott already. Now even more going elsewhere.

Visited my father who was attending a convention. Went to dinner at Drago's. They're known for their charbroiled oysters, and that's it. Everything else we had there was underwhelming. As for the hotel itself, very nice, clean, professional staff.

Hotel is vintage 2000 and 1980srooms need to be remodeled to the Hilton standard and wallpaper completely removed and need better pillows as well. Many Hilton properties in town are better then this flagship. Although I do have to say the breakfast is amazing !

It seemed pretty nice but they accidentally overbooked so we didn't actually stay there. They did book us a room at the Lowes for no extra charge and gave us a $12 cab fare for the inconvenience and the people at the front desk were super nice and helpful. Good experience and it worked out well.

This weekend my husband, daughter, son and I were down in New Orleans at the Hilton Riverside and Resort Hotel for a Cheerleading Convention. Upon arrival to the room which we hadn't brought our clothes in yet we were greeted by roaches. When we told the front desk staff the night manager at that time stated "That's strange" as if we brought the roaches with us. We read the reviews and this has happened on different occasions. I guess the front desk was upset with us because whenever we called to ask for something they were very rude. Our card was charged $718.00 which we have not received the hold you all put on our card which the front desk clerk said we would get it back the same day. Terrible customer service skills so we will not stay at another Hilton Hotel ever again.

Ate at Drago's. Service tried hard but we were put in a really small table for 4 people. All our orders were wrong. Food was overcooked. Expected more for the price. Not the worst, but far from even mediocre on this visit.

We come here every year for a work function and it is absolutely wonderful everytime we stay. Location, food and drinks are great! Super close to Burbon and Canal street. The outlet mall is below the hotel and just convenient to everything in walking distance. Highly recommend.

Housecleaning really was a turn off, they didn't leave any soap or shampoo one night and our last day didn't even clean our room I am also pretty sure they never cleaned out sheets (we were here for 6 nights). I could go on and on but we plan on staying at a different hotel next time. I wouldn't recommend this hotel.
