The room was clean and nicely furnished, the breakfast was great at one of the restaurants in the hotel. But free WiFi isn't included unless you're a Hilton honors member and there's no free continental breakfast. Nice hotel, good food, and great proximity to attractions in the city and restaurants.

Stayed here because it was a conference hotel. However, wouldn't choose to stay here again. It's in a good location, close to tjr convention center and bourbon street. The good: the bed is pretty comfy, dragos has good food and that is who provides room service, and the bar restaurant on the 2nd floor is cozy. We stayed on the 22nd fl and didnt hear any street noise. Housekeeping was good and the room was always made up. There is a keurig type machine in the room.

The bad: checkin was awful, very slow, and pretty poor customer service. There's no early checkin so we had to sit around for hours when jet lagged. There was no upgrade. I had paid for a riverview king. The 1st room they tried to give us was ridiculously small. We called to complain and they did move us to a much better room, so that was nice. The pillows are really BAD. There's feather, which aren't down, but rather, the hard compacted feather kind. It hurts your neck. I complained and they brought the foam pillows. Those are hard to describe except lumpy and weird. However, they are better than the feather. One thing that is so disappointing is that there is a microfridge, but with nothing in it. After a long day of walking around, you really kinda need a soft drink. The gym seems to close pretty early, especially on sundays.

Walking into the lobby I felt as though I was at a business convention which wasn't really the feel I was going for when I an on vacation but that quickly went away when we walked into our room and saw the awesome view of the river!

It was a very busy hotel filled with business owners and expo people. But clean and staff was very nice.

I would not recommend for vacation but great for business.

The rooms here are great. Very clean, shower has plenty of power, plenty of television channels if you want to stay in for some reason. Hotel itself is beautiful, and the staff is very friendly and helpful.

I've removed a star because I always do so for any place that charges me for what I consider to be base amenities in this day and age. Internet should not require me to pay, or be an HHHONORS member. The gym here costs $10 a day. For that price, I better get a personal trainer.

Overall, good experience. Would stay again.

Checkin experience was rough. Waited over 45 minutes. Hotel is fine, though a bit dated in the halls and rooms. Close proximity to convention center was primarily the reason for selecting it.

Thank you to Bruce who sent me the items I left at the hotel, mainly my car keys. :) He also texted me the tracking number as well as tracking updates. This level of service was a refreshing surprise, I did not expect the updates but truly appreciated him making the extra effort. The other staff members were helpful, room was nice after they moved me from the 2nd floor to the 24th. Outside of the menu at the bar, the food options at the hotel had healthy choices which if you know me - this is a must. Highly recommend and hope the Hilton knows how valuable team members like Bruce are to creating a great guest experience.

Hotal is exceptional, check-in took longer than expected but went quickly in the Hilron Honors line. Desk clerk was nice and professional, provided excellent view of the river for my partially blind husband. Room was clean, bed was firm and soft. Will stay again next trip to New Orleans.

Great location if you re in town for a convention. Having Drago s as in house restaurant is fabulous and cut through to mall is also very nice.

The 4 stars is only because our shower broke (they fixed it very quickly) and I visited a friend at Le Meridien and it felt a bit fresher.

Nice place but expect to pay a lot of high fees for basically anything. They know you're staying in a high priced hotel and they want that money too. Not just in the hotel but everywhere in this particular area. All the store and restaurants will charge you more for standard items & food, and they can because everywhere that sell anything at standard value will be farther than most want to walk or take a cab for. Oh right, be sure to check the items you buy especially beer, they leave it on the shelf longer than anyone knows. Also a tip, be polite when explaining anything wrong no matter how upset they get, they will fold before you do.

I attended the LCTCS conference at the Hilton. The accommodations are always nice. They have friendly staff, spacious settings for our group, and convenient location makes the Hilton Riverside a great choice for our conference.

Our 4 night stay was great here. Other than the loud bathroom fan in room 2522 that constantly ran (didn't turn off with light) it was clean and quiet. And we had a beautiful view of the river outside the first 2 days, then thick fog rolled in and we saw nothing but a white wall of fog when we looked out the last 2 days of our stay. Oh well. Front desk was friendly and fulfilled requests quickly, and checkin was a breeze. The only complaint is that upon checkin they should advise you that you have to let them know if you move your car out of their valet at anytime during your stay. We did valet the first night but moved to a cheaper parking garage the next day. Upon checkout, we got hit with a parking bill of $200 for 4 nights! It was quickly resolved, but an inconvenience.

The place was a disapointment. The wifi was super slow, not to mention it cost an extra $15. You get free wifi if you are an HHonor member but it is even slower. The food in the restaurant is over rated, it was overpriced for second rate food. For example we asked for bread and what we got was hard old bread. at least 3 days old. I have honestly never stayed in such a horrible hotel. The only thing they have is the location. everything else was a horrible expirience.

.Extremely disappointing experience. We picked our room and did our initial check in through the Hilton app, it only gave us 2 room choices, one in the Riverside Building and one in the Tower building. We chose the Riverside Room, however upon arrival it smelled like cigarette smoke, not wanting to be blamed and charged for this ($300?), my husband went to the desk to report the smell and get our actual keys. The front desk offered to upgrade us, big mistake! The 2nd room was anything but an upgrade, the air conditioning didn't work nor did the refrigerator. Also our view of the river was blocked by the dinner ship. But even forgiving all of that, the worst was yet to come. Our 2nd day there, I had the DO NOT DISTURB sign on the door. First housekeeping came in while I was getting in the shower, she them came back a 2nd time to question whether we were okay with her room cleaning, then for a 3rd time the housekeeping supervisor knocked on the door to see if we had extended our reservation????? We were still on our initial reservation. I have never stayed in a hotel where the staff came in when you clearly asked for privacy. Also we are Diamond Members and should have received 2 cards each day for $10.00 off hotel restaurants or stores, we were not even informed of this until we were leaving. Then when we received our bill at checkout it was in someone else's name, on their credit card. This could have and should have been an amazing business trip at an awesome hotel, however due to employee issues and extreme hotel confusion it ranks right up there for the worst stay ever. Be careful, be vigilant and make sure the hotel treats you with respect and actually cares that you are there. They will not do it without your persistence and even then your stay will not be what it should be.

If we could give it a zero star that would work. The room we checked into was not vacuumed, chairs had fresh stains, bathroom floor had dirty towels, the bathtub was completely clogged, the air conditioner didn t work in warm humid weather even after repair was supposedly done- just unbelievable and not upto par for a four star hotel They take a long time to service your request and the list goes on. We have stayed in numerous Hilton hotels and this particular Hilton stay surprised us. The Breakfast buffet choices are just okay.Try another hotel especially during big meetings.

All service was very slow. Front desk people didn't tell us all the particulars. Some phone did not work. Toilet paper was extremely thin.buffet lines were not set up well. companions we're checked into a room that was already occupied. Door handles only worked if you went up with them. Overall, I would not recommend this hotel. It was given to us because it's on the river and we were taking a river cruise.

The location is good if you are here for a conference.

The rooms are average and your paying for convenience of being near the convention center. The downside is that your room could be at floor level with some courtyards, used for events. Be sure to draw your blinds if you're not into voyeurism.

This hotel will nickle and dime you to death. If you want to work out in their "health club" it's 12 bucks. No free Wi-Fi. No complementary water in the room but you can buy some for 4 bucks at the little market store.

And the lay out of the hotel is just stupid. They lack adequate signs to find certain rooms and it's common to wander to find what you need.

The staff here is ok...

If you are not here for a convention or don't mind walking an extra 90 seconds, check out one of the other dozen hotels in the area.

When they offer you a riverside view make sure you can actually see the river and not a brick wall. They may as well brick up the windows because you cant see anything. Very disappointed with my room location on my vacation trip.

As a Harrahs VIP I booked a room with the casino but they were booked to capacity. So they moved my reservation to a sister hotels the Hilton. My reservation was for a king size bed but at check-in I was informed that I would be receiving 2 queen size beds and if I wanted a king there would be an upcharge. It is unclear to me how this works. As a sister Hotel you would believe that the accommodations are the same. I do believe that the Hilton is taking advantage of the Harrah's customers with this upcharge

My favorite hotel in New Orleans. Perfect for families, a weekend getaway or business. Convenient to Bourbon Street, CBD and Midtown. The Riverwalk Mall is attached to the Hotel. Can't go wrong staying here.

Love this hotel. Beautiful view of the Mississippi River from our room. And the hotel allowed us to check in early after traveling all night. You must check out Drago's and have the charbroiled oysters at some point during your stay!!!!

The Hilton New Orleans Riverside was great. It is attached to the River Walk and is in walking distance to great attractions like the Children's Museum and the Aquarium of the Americas. The rooms are nice, clean and comfortable.

I loved the space and various areas to lounge. The valet staff and luggage handlers were very professional and accomodating. We only had a few occurrences that took away from our experience. It wasn't until the afternoon when our rooms were cleaned and it was not done on the first night. The water temperature decreased also. I love the hotel! We had a good experience.

This hotel is mainly a conference center. The air conditioning in our room did not work (it was over 90 degrees when we first arrived and the AC was set for 65). After 2 visits from the engineers for the hotel, the air still did not end up working. The TV broke multiple times. Room service was limited, extremely expensive, took about an hour to receive and was not very good quality. It is not a horrible hotel, but certainly not the best New Orleans has to offer. It is also extremely expensive.

I have always wanted to stay here. It was amazing!!!! Everything here was perfect and hotel is huge. Restaurant are wonderful. Walking distance from everything. Customer service is exceptional. Will try to stay here every time I visit New Orleans and that is alot!!! Happy customer.

I tried to park here today and there was no indication that the lot was full. I drove in, pressed the button and then drove around the parking structure for about 10 minutes. There were no open spots anywhere. I had no choice but to leave and try to park somewhere else. There were no people at the gate, just a computer and no button to press to talk to anyone. i had only been in the lot for 10 minutes and there were no spots, but it made me pay $20.00 anyway. I can't believe that Hilton cannot afford to have someone at the parking station because there was a booth and a spot for someone to sit, but it was empty. They either need to have a policy where 10 minutes is automatically free or a menial charge of $3 or something, or have someone there to be able to make a decision. This is completely unacceptable. To the managers of the New Orleans Hilton...you got my $20, but i'm sure that at least 5 people will not go to your hotel due to my review, so its actually costing you $ in the long run. And btw, i travel 90% of the time for my job. If possible i wont be staying at your hotels if i can avoid it. Thanks!! Happy new year!!!

First, as Hilton honors member, the check-in took twice as long as regular check-in (not as many staff).
We selected a package that involves holiday cocktails and when we went to the public belt bar on 27th around 10:40 pm, we were denied service (holiday cocktail menu not available here). Then why sell us the package?
The view from the room was good however, Hilton staff overall were unapologetic and rude.

Everything about it was on point. Well maintained rooms, nice water pressure, and the fridge could fit a surprising amount. Pass on the hotel food though. There is so much more out there!

I give this place a one star. I had two beds in my room. And they both had blood stains in the sheets. I took pictures to prove it. Then when I called the front desk to ask to change the sheets, the front desk attendant had an attitude. Needless to say, I ll never stay here again.

We went to Dragos for oysters and drinks. The raw oysters were chewy and just bad, my baked oysters had two many shell bits for me to enjoy. The service wasnt bad and wasnt stell. I will not be returning to Dragos for oysters.

Consider expensive for the amenities that you get. Unless you are a high level Hilton honors member or book with packages, everything is extra. Gym extra, no bottle water in room, printing in office costs extra. However, people are very friendly, staff are attentive, and the is a starbucks on premises.

A great hotel right in the middle of the Financial District of New Orleans. The Hilton has direct access to the convention center through the Riverwalk Mall. Very convenient when it's raining and everything you need is right there: food, shopping, souvenirs, a branch of Cafe du Monde if you'd rather not brave the long lines and crowds at the Jackson Square one. The hotel has huge rooms, cool amenities, typical of hotels in this class. It is right in front of the casino and the Shoppes at Canal for high end shopping. Home to Drago's restaurant where you can have their famous grilled oysters. All in all, a great place to stay. Will come back again.

Nice clean hotel. The layout of a little odd, it's cluttered, there is so much going on inside, it's a little hard to find your way around at first. The location isn't very good, being on the water is nice, and the view is good, but it's a pretty far walk through some pretty sprawling areas before you get to the good stuff.

The internet connection is NOT GOOD. I am a diamond member and stay at many Hilton s. This one is sub-par compared to the national chain. There is little customer service and smiles compared to other Hilton properties across the US.

The hotel itself and the amenities were quite nice, but I did have a problem. While I was here for MechaCon, I accidentally dropped my ID. Luckily for me, an upstanding citizen turned it in to one of the desks, and upon realizing that I didn't have it, I asked my friends to go to the desks to see if the ID had turned in. The hotel staff gave my ID, with no question, to my friend without ID'ing her or calling me to notify me at all after they told me they would call me if they found my ID. While I am pleased to have my ID back in my possession, I'm not sure how I feel about the fact that someone is just able to come up and claim my items without taking precaution first. Other than this, however, I found my stay to be quite enjoyable and will definitely consider this hotel for other visits to New Orleans.

The hotel was ok, but they are super cheap and the temperature is kept on 55 degrees. They charge you $200 a night (and we had a discount because we were there for a convention) and they want to charge you $12 a day to use the gym. I have NEVER stayed in a hotel that charges you to use the gym. NOLA is very warm and VERY humid some days so if you have asthma you can t really go outside for a run. They also refused to honor our late checkout request. When we left the cleaning lady wasn t even close to our room so I don t see why the 2 hours would have made a difference. I had to wear a sweatshirt the entire time at the convention because it was freezing. It was uncomfortably cold in that place the entire time. I relished going to the bathroom so I could was my hands under warm water. They also served coffee at the convention that was the worst I have ever had. I m not even sure it could be considered coffee because it was so watered down. I put cream in and it mostly tasted like watered down cream.

The guest service is wonderful. Beyond of what is expected. My husband and I were here for a mixture of advantures. I was sick the whole time here. The guest service went above and beyond every time we needed anything.

Our room had a great view. Really enjoyed watching the river traffic, seeing lightening as high up as we were. Comfy beds.

The rooms themselves were not the price I paid for. Money in a corner from prior guests. Still there throughout our stay. Furniture could use fixing and a clean up. Knobs from the fridge area are ready to fall off. Mirror in bathroom has issues. Floor felt wet after ac has been running for a bit. Wall paper peeling in bathroom and main room. As we were leaving to and from our floor, dishes were left in hallways over night. Kinda trashy. Not what we expected for the hefty price we paid for.

If you want anything thing, everything costs waay more then it should..

I did talk to someone. Very wonderful. I cannot stress enough on how wonderful the employees are. The lady, whom I spoke with, was very happy that I did point out a few things. She would rather hear the small things and make them right, then hear how awful it was at check out and not knowing the whys. The stay here was wonderful!

Went here for a company party. Hilton was able to give us more room, and more bars, but the food was NOT good at all, unless cold ham, turkey, roast beef po-boys are your thing. For the amount of money this company makes, I know the Hilton could have provided better food than this. At least the other hotel had a carving station if you wanted to make your own sandwich, which was at least, hot!

This hotel is absolutely beautiful and the people who are employed are a delight. The location is directly across from the Harrah's Casino and the outlets along with a short walk to access the street cars. The pools are a bit mediocre but there are two. They're small and do not have shade.

Great Hotel within walking distance of Bourbon Street and The French Quarter. Plenty of places to shop nearby. Drago's, the hotel restaurant, is fantastic. Some of the best seafood I've ever had. If you're staying in New Orleans, you can't go wrong at the Hilton.
