I enjoyed the hotel. However the set up and the elevators were so confusing. I did enjoy the connection to the mall.

We are enjoying our stay. Nothing specifically wrong with the hotel, but the $450 price tag a night is uber steep. Location is also more our of the way, than many other NOLA hotels that could command that price.
My stay at the Hilton New Orleans Riverside was delightful. The room was clean, comfortable, and well furnished and it had a wonderful view of The River. The hotel is a short walk to the many convention centers and to The French Quarter. If I need to stay in New Orleans again, I would definitely revisit the Hilton New Orleans Riverside.
Great place to stay, very clean, staff very helpful
Rooms were clean, staff was excellent, food was even better.
The room was great and service was excellent. One of the elevators was out of service while I was there and the rooms on the pool deck were being renovated but everything else was great. The hotel is connected to the Riverwalk mall and less than a mile from the French Quarter market. There a ton of restaurants and bars and shops right outside the front door if you want to explore the streetcar service stops at the hotel and the hotel restaurant is excellent if you just want to stay in. Room service was quick and clean. The beds were very comfortable and the view from our room (we got a riverside room) was great. The hotel is made up of three different buildings with skywalks between them. It can be a little difficult to navigate but not too bad. Overall it was a fantastic experience
It's kind of a bland hotel with an odd entrance.
Let me clarify
So you go through the first floor where there is a restaurant called DRAGO. You can verify on Google maps.
. Secondly the overall Lobby and carpeting around the elvators and the bridge going to tower 2 seems to be dated. I was in the room in the tower 2 and I felt that it was dated and just didn't have any refinement like a usual Hotel for Hilton would be. The bathroom in the shower seem to be rusted. I did not take pictures but I think others colleagues could vouch for it and most likely will tell them to comment. I would suggest to the hilton manager rather denying these issues I would remediate them. I went to the Hilton St Charles which was more elegant also had a executive loung and other things. I am hilton gold Member and have gone to a few hiltons. I recognize you all are busy but you are making a good bit of many by convention goers
We ate at Dragos because it was recommended to us. The food was pretty good, but overall our dinner left something to be desired.
Had a great experience at this Hilton during Mardi Gras 2020. They allowed us to check-in early and were quick even with many people checking in at the same time. Drago s restaurant being located in the hotel is very convenient for a quick, tasty bite to eat and the hotel s location allows for an easy walk to the French Quarter or the Central Business District.
Room is good. Shower is great. Breakfast a bit overpriced.
Great location, great service. Parking is confusing and overpriced
If I could give this hotel a lower rating than one I would. My room had Mold, dirty moldy heat vents. Our room was so small it made motel 6 look big. The night desk clerks refused to let us talk to a manager. Playing games by making us wait on hold for 15 minutes. A threat to have them use their ways to make us pay. Then saying they just aren't in the office. The maid service was ok, never brought us an extra pillow and we tipped them. Don't stay here. Hilton has gone down in my opinion.
Staff was friendly and the Riverwalk shopping center is wonderful. The only problem was the remote for the TV didn't work. I booked here for MechaCon. The view from my room was fantastic. Wonderful sunrise.
Clean rooms, great food on location, plenty to do in the immediate area.
Great rooms, over the top services and the location couldn't be better! I have never been greeted in a more friendly manner or severed by such a great staff (especially the lady at the front desk the checked my wife and I in!). Without a doubt the best travel experience I've had in my 57 years. The pictures are the view.
The rooms were comfortable, the prices reasonable, and the accommodations plentiful. A very memorable experience.
Massive hotel. The rooms were decent for the price. Located near the French Quarter but just far enough away. Great if you are attending a conference in the area.
3 bc close to convention center, quick bite from mall and clean. Elevator is too far from check in and with many confusing and depressing hallways and rental rooms and elevators not to your room to navigate is why only 3 stars. 4.40 coffee i think is rude. My most expensive hotel coffee yet.
Ate at Drago's, would definitely recommend the lobster Mac n cheese, lobster tail and charbroiled oysters. Will definitely be returning.
Not a very modern conference center, but it works pretty well. The location is nice
Char Grilled Oysters at Drago's. YOU. MUST. DO. IT.
Nice hotel. The view from the executive lounge is great
We had an amazing Christmas Staycation...the staff was amazing and accommodated all of our needs. We'll definitely return in the near future.
Here for 6 days, today is day #2
So far everything is excellent We are here for the DAV
NATIONAL CONVENTION
5 stars
Wonderful hotel, excellent condition and amazing view. The food is amazing, has a fine bar. But no free parking even for the residents .
Becoming a Hilton Honors member waa a good idea because with the app is set up where it makes everything ao easy and understandable. Plus the points you earn per stay. 5 stars!
The Hilton New Orleans Riverside has friendly staff and is in a perfect location. This hotel is clean and you feel at home here.
Awesome staff - they send frequent text messages ensuring that everything is going well. This allows them to respond to any issues quickly if they are to come up. The location was very good and is connected to a large mall and convention center.
Just i have to say, this is a disaster hotel.they charged me 88 dollars just for 2 days for parking, they had not told me that before.also they said breakfast was not included ,but on the website ,was included.there is construction in this area, and very dangerous to walk and other problems as well.as a matter of fact ,this would be my last time to choose this hotel!
Great , Housekeeping is awesome Beautiful rooms Beautiful veiw & Beautiful people Great Stay
This Hilton needs a face-lift in the lobby, bar and restaurants. The convention area is nice. The health club is one of the best. But the bartenders are expensive and inconsistent. The restaurant food is bland and overpriced. You're better off eating and drinking nearby.
Beautiful hotel, nice room, comfortable bed. Towels could be softer and the couple of times I had to go to front desk there was always a line because they had only one or 2 people working. However, overall it's a very nice location and employees have been very helpful when needed. Overall, I recommend it.
Very clean facility. Health club was a great venue for an indoor sporting event
Close to perfekt. The only thing I didn't like was the breakfast restaurant and the stuff that is working there. They have to work on their cloth and their kindness.
River walk parking is horrible! Poorly managed. Waited for an hour to get my car out of the lot. Security said it s people learning the machine. But a better machine!
Love it. Great location, close to the French quarter, Harra's casino and riverwalk mall.
Great view and within walking distance from main attractions.
Great time. Our waiter, Rico, at Spirits was excellent.
Beautiful views of the Mississippi River. Central hub to local restaurants, attractions and the downtown area. Short river walk path to Bourbon Street. A short walk to local mall too. Helpful friendly staff.
It was a fabulous experience... Customer service was great when needed... Need was comfy to sleep in... All you need for a night
I stayed last summer for a work conference. Check in was simple. The staff was courteous. I didn't like that there was an event downstairs and I could hear it in my room, but that was of no consequence. The problem was the room. Opened the door to be greeted by a warm, moldy smelling room. When I took off my shoes, I realized the smell was the carpet...it was soaking wet! Notified management and was told all rooms were booked so that I couldn't get a different room. After checkout, I answered the guest satisfaction survey and was contacted some time later and offered a $100 voucher to use on my next visit. It's 1 year later and I STILL have not received it. I even called and asked to have it resent. I was promised it would be here within a week...its now 6 weeks later. Sorely disappointed in Hilton new Orleans riverside.
It is located extremely close to everything. The transit system is located just outside the don't door and the outlet mall is connected to the hotel. Facility was nice and clean and staff was extremely helpful.
Big hotel. Nice location, within walking distance to the French quarter, Casino and malls.
A nice accessible location and rooms were great. Clean and well equipped as well. Room service was done daily and well organized everyday.
Definitely not the best Hilton I've ever stayed in. Good location, right next to the river and walking distance to the French Quarter. The cleaning crew only did a moderate job cleaning our room before we checked in. There was long black hair left in the sink, on the floor in the bathroom and on the shower curtain on the tub side. Pretty disgusting.
Upon arrival the front desk were far from friendly and almost rude. We went to the conciege desk to ask for information and the woman who was there at 6 pm on Tuesday May 5th was RUDE beyond words. The room was awful considering the price. Skip this hotel. I have been a Hilton Diamond member for years but was treated as dirt.
Super nice hotel. Rooms were overbooked but got a suite upgrade free only thing bad was the king size sofa bed rather than an actual bed. It's attached to the outlets which is nice. Has plenty of shops and places to grab a drink.
Great event area, very big and the catering was delicious.
I did not stay at the hotel Hilton Riverside. We went to Drago s. Drago s and has the original Char broiled oysters, which is worth going to just for that. Don t get too many, because they are very very rich. All the food is great but The specialty is the chargrilled for Shores. The original is in Metairie, so if you have an opportunity to go there, that would be better. As always, in any New Orleans restaurant, Order any special that they have. Generally, New Orleans restaurant specials are better than any thing they have on the menu.
I've stayed at this hotel many times. I live in New Orleans and have to stay here because it is comped for me. It's very outdated and scratched up. I only had one garbage can and it was in the bathroom. The other one was also in the bathroom filled with water from a leak. The conditioner was empty and I was already in shower so couldn't get more. Parking is very overpriced. Just to sum this up, it needs renovating desperately!
Excellent location and well kept. Checking in took way longer than it should have, as we had a large line and only one person checking in on a Friday night.
Great accommodations. The staff is professional & courteous. This hotel is close to water and within walking distance of the trolley and most restaurants.
The baked oysters were great. Rooms are discuss and clean. Location convenient.
Building is a little older than other Hiltons that I have stayed at. Location is good as it is very close to the convention center and outlet ~8-10 minute walk. Service has been good so far. Drago's restaurant is located right downstairs. Bourbon St is not too far from the hotel ~15 minute walk. Overall, this has been a good stay.
Popped in to grab drinks and a bite during Lundi Gras. Excellent service.
Room, location were great. After self parking and walking long distance with bags I ask about handicap parking and told not available. Found it in valet parking garage on second evening lots of empty spaces. Disabled veteran leaving New Orleans extremely sore. Good time otherwise.
Great service. Awesome dining selection and good drinks. Health club is superb and honestly the hotels amenities are outstanding. Will definitely keep this place in mind for future trips.
Hotel had helpful management. Nice large gathering areas. Room was comfortable, however our heat did not work two nights when we really needed it. Management should have had at least 2 or 3 more bartenders for NYE.
Nice Hilton with a legendary restaurant. Located on the edge of the French Quarter, on the bank of the Mississippi river.
Rooms are hot. Need to check on AC. You can hear everything so didn't sleep well.
Who Dat? Its Mike Famous your favorite inventor you love to hate . Worlds first and greatest sound activated glossels
Was there for the Hermes Ball and it was a blast. The staff was great and the venue was perfect for the occasion.
Great atmosphere! Excellent location with friendly staff.
All employees were very friendly and made my stay enjoyable! Room was very nice and loved hotel! Would definitely return!!
Absolutely horrible stay!!!!!!!
Stayed there one night while passing thru for a family vacation. Paid 44.00 to self park in a covered parking lot, stayed one night and came out to our truck being vandalized and broken into. They ripped up the back of our truck bed cover, stole multiple items, luggage, fishing poles, etc.... when I called security that day and the front desk they basically all threw hands up not taking responsibility for ANYTHING. Paid 44.00 for parking alone to be broken into.
Called and spoke to the manager after explaining the situation again 3 days later and he basically told me I was lucky they they even took off a parking fee.
We spent hours just trying to duck tape the truck in order for it to be drivable with the remaining items the thieves didn t want... and then had to pay 460.00 for the expedited new truck bed cover to get to us in Florida in order for us to be able to drive home safely when it s time for us to head back home. Not to mention the clothes we had to buy in order to get thru the week seeing as how we were no where near home. It was a nightmare, and it baffles me that such a big company takes zero responsibility or attempt to make compensation for such an inconvenience... just sad... never again Hilton.
We checked in 12/6. We were given a room with a handicapped shower. The room was pretty outdated. I turned on the shower for 1 min to get hot and walked away. I walked back towards the RR and fell into the restroom on the floor on my left arm as I tried to brace my fall. The water was not draining properly and pooled on the floor outside of the bathroom. The hotel was notified. I asked to speak to a manager bc my arm was hurt. I never got to speak to one just the front desk person although he stood two bays over. They only sent security to make a report. He brought ice for my arm. That's it. There was no follow up from the hotel. Just to think if it were elderly person that fell they would have more regard. Daily we had to build a dam of towels to prevent the water from escaping and from slipping on the tile. The cover of the ac vent also came off while we turned up the air. She had to fight with it to attach back to the wall. While a great location has bad customer service..I wil not stay here again.
I honestly don't have enough good things to say about this hotel. I was there for 4 days and honestly did not experience one problem at all. I know in other reviews guests have commented about the bathroom size. While it is true that my bathroom was tiny, I don't spend a lot of time in there so the other positive attributes of the hotel far outweighed that single negative. My Room on the 21st floor was well maintained and clean. Every staff member I encountered including Richard the shoeshine guy, were exceptional. Also, while it may have been a bit hard to find, the gym was exceptional.
Have stayed at several Hilton's all over. This one was fair. Room was clean but worn and smelt a lil musty bad. The staff I dealt with were all Very friendly and helpfull. My view of the tracks sucked but am sure others looked great.
Was there for training seminar. It did go fairly well and the foods were fair.
Lots of construction, no place to park, bad directions , things in the room didn't work I will never stay there again
Drago's food was so Good the charbroil oysters were very good
Excellent room, very good location and the food in the bar and at Le Croissant breakfast restaurant was very good.
Check in room was not ready ...waited after official check in time and had to go ask for the room I reserved as they were trying to put us in a different room.other then that it's been great... Food is a little to expensive for what it is.
Very beautiful hotel, nice food not fopr from the Superdome
I attended the Hilton New Orleans Riverside for a conference. Overall, it was accommodating and made for a great central locale. From the hotel, we had access to the French Quarter and were able to explore French Quarter Fest. Unfortunately I cannot speak to the state of the rooms (with a group discount, it was approximately $320 per night, which was out of my budget). However, the common spaces were incredibly clean and inviting. The incredibly large lobby and public areas consisted of printing stations, comfortable chairs, access to outlets, a Starbucks, Drago's Seafood, a small convenience store, and more. However, you may want to avoid purchasing items from these hotel spaces, as the prices of coffee, soda, snacks, and over the counter drugs (e.g., Tylenol I had to buy while there), were nearly 150% of what they cost at the AIRPORT. For example, my soda was $3.50 at the convenience store and an egg sandwich from Starbucks $7.50. From the hotel, you can access the shops on the Riverwalk and the second Cafe Du Monde location (DEFINITELY a benefit in my opinion! And the convenient location doesn't change this Cafe Du Monde location prices!).
Though I was unable to enjoy, there was a rooftop pool that looked like a great escape from downtown. Additionally, the decor of the lobby featured hotel room windows that were designed to look as though they were part of the outdoor design of a French-architecture style home.
The needs of the conference guests ran smoothly thanks to the staff. The spaces were clean and set up/breakdown of food stations was efficient. If I were looking to stay for the Jazz Festival or return for the French Quarter Festival and my finances were different, I would consider the Hilton New Orleans Riverside. It was beautiful, clean, and easy to access many hot spots through walking.
We only stopped in to eat at Drago's. Atmosphere is lovely and even though there was a convention in the hotel the service was quick and courteous. I do not care for oysters but my friend with me loved them. Highly recommend for oysters from her, the lobster Mac n cheese I had was amazing.
Very nice accommodations and close to shopping and restaurants. I was just taken back that a to go cup of coffee was $4.40.
I realize that you do not want non paying persons to take free coffee meant for your guests, but $4.40 is not a fair price for a paying guest.
Most hotels usually have plain coffee to go, without paying.
Very nice hotel, lots of amenities, great location, the beds were comfortable, towels smelled a little star and were a bit coarse.
