Hilton Mauritius Resort & Spa Review

A big thank you for these beautiful family holidays. 7 nights is a little course .... Two very pretty rooms. Super large bed. Clean rooms nothing to say either. Towels, products etc everything is there.
The staff (reception, concierge, catering, bar, nautical entertainment, staff floor ...) is more than charming, kind, a remarkable kindness. Thanks to Jannick who is at the table. The buffet of the pdj is huge there is for all the tastes there is all that is needed in fruit, fruit juice, sweetened,
in salty (small flat if we could improve the quality of bread and pastries) being resp pedj in France in a similar hotel I more than appreciated. Thanks to Doucha of the spa for relaxing massage. Thank you really for everything and thank you to the chef for the various buffets and different themes. See you soon......

Was good but not as expected for a five star Hilton hotel.

The resort is very nice, luxurious and large, I recommend it without any discussion, it has 3 swimming pools for adults and children and has free cruises by boat resort to the guests and

Staff absolutely friendly very kind and helpful, but the hotel is quite noisy be carful for your room, you can also see the resort is not really new any more , the family swimming pool should be renewed ...

Everything is perfect, i didn't have to wait to much to check in, there is a jacuzzi that is my favourite spot of the hotel. The room is a very relaxing place and the lunch is a little expensive but delicious !!!
Except the dessert from the main restaurant is not high quality and the pool are not as big compared to the other hotels i've been ...but except those 2 details ...the hotel is wooowwww !!

Amazing place with free water activities and nice spa

Never worth the Hilton name. It does not amount to the reputation of the Hilton.

Nice coastal hotel, with a couple of activities offered and a nice spa. Staff is very friendly. Pity that they don t provide complementary bottles of water everyday as they don t recommend to drink tap water.

Definitely spectacular and well-kept structure.

Impeccable cleanliness, I have never found a detail out of place.

Sore points the food of anything but excellent quality, a great breakfast, but dinner ... Definitely what you would expect from a 5 star!
Also the prices of the drinks have left me perplexed, I can understand that we are in a Hilton, but I just can't justify the prices ... Paying a mojito 390 rupees (the equivalent of CHF 11 or 10) I find it inconceivable! Or a normal beer 200 rupees, when out at the restaurant you can find it from 50 to 100 ... I just can't understand why! Not to mention the cost of wine at the restaurant ...

The last pearl is the obligation for men to wear long trousers at dinner, even at the buffet! Yes, to go and get food it seems you have to have long pants to be up to it ... In a hotel by the sea, imposing this dress code on everyone seems ridiculous to me! In fact, I didn't have them with me and I had to go and buy them at the nearby shopping center ...

The rating is 4 stars considering that we had found an offer on secretescape at a bargain price, at the usual rate it would be 3!

It will also be indicated on your website, but it was not mentioned in the booking confirmation so I was not required to know the dress code. Secondly, the thing remains ridiculous and I don't think that those who have to respect a dress code all year round at work are happy to have to respect it even at the sea to serve themselves at the buffet ...!

The prices will be in line with the 5 stars, but remain out of proportion to the cost of living on the island ... people are not stupid at all and in fact the bars were always half you want, coincidences? Catering and bars should be a service, not an excuse to pluck patrons!

The hotel is getting a bit old. But that is from the cleanliness the service and the very good food not to notice. The spa area is highly recommended. Only the prices in the hotel are almost close to rip off such. Coffee for 7,50 therefore only 4 stars.

A beautifully laid out hotel with comfortable rooms and excellent amenities. The staff are ever present and very helpful. The watersports here are great and everything is included. Yachting, paddle boarding, dolphin watching, windsurfing, snorkeling, you name it. A great place for a break. The local town is just a short taxi away with a great variety of restaurants and bars.

Good level maintained. Large rooms with a beautiful view, clean. Tasty food. Swimming pools and hotel beach are available. A lot of sunbeds. Nice, obliging service. A taxi stand in front of the hotel, next to public transport (bus). The beach will take you to the center of a nearby town.

Definitely could have offered more to the client. Looks like they cut short on services for a 5 star! No water activities available, simple things like milk was not available in the room even one time use toothpaste was not provided. Drinks (water, juice, soft drinks etc) had to be bought for dinner even though it was an open buffet (not included in the all inclusive package).
The working staff are very welcoming though ! Special thanks to staffs working at swimming pool. Excellent coaching for aquagym coaching and water polo activities!

Destination "luxury", with low-cost option.

Exceptional setting, melted in the surrounding nature (tame nature, but very present). Located in the hotel zone south of Flic en Flac.

Beach and swimming pleasant, despite the proximity and the frequent passage of the motor boats of the hotels which take in stroll the tourists (it is included in the price of the stay ...)

Pleasure pool for all ages, adult-only infinity pool (and parents when kids are at the mini club).

Mini club multilingual with animator (trices) very available from 4 years. The fraters feel good and the club wanders around the hotel for its activities. Thus, children and parents spend good days ...

Attention: "casual chic" outfit required in restaurants at night. No shorts, no t-shirts, no flip-flops for boys. However, if you display luxury brands, there is apparently an exception ... Discriminant, but not very surprising ... We must maintain the postcard ...

Points to improve :

"Low cost" full-board pension formula a bit petty: water is not included in the meals (hard with children). Similarly, replace the lunch with a picnic is possible, but with an additional 10 per person (no child rate) ... And always without water ... In short, where you stay at the hotel , or you pay extra, despite the full board ...

Miserly for petty, make "reserves" extra to the breakfast buffet pantagruelel is a possible solution of resistance (bread, fruit, dried fruit, dry cake, even mini sandwiches handmade) ... Do you do not pinch!

Lunch service at the restaurant "shells", slow or random: pancakes optional ... Or included, depending on the waiter, placement and waiting time inexplicably long while there are only a few guests at the table ... Not very serious, we are on vacation ... Except when we have a plane to take!

In the end, a fortunately very pleasant stay, in a spring "that stands", which visibly, makes efforts to make accessible to a wider clientele but where everything is not perfect (otherwise, there would not be of comment to make and that would be almost boredom, no? :-).

Beautiful beach, far from Flic en Flac. Beach bar expensive. 0,5l beer 360 rupees = 9 Euro!

Hello everyone who likes to read and write are considered. Two quick words for the Hilton Maurice Hotel. Good Services. All is well. But I find it too expensive. You can find good price and same quality Hotel at the first line of the beach.

Best hotel of my life! The location is more magic that you can see in any movies. The service is amazing, they know how to take care of their clients, services punctual and precise just once we had to wait for 40 minites because there was no electricity (weather conditions), but they didn't make us pay. Kitchen is very tasty. I reccomend ordering fruits, fish and try to stick to local food. PLEASE avoid eating italian kitchen, any kind and open to discover new tastes.

One of the best hotels I have visited so far. I do not often travel flat rate, but I would go back to this place anytime!
The food at the buffet was delicious and varied and also clearly labeled. All staff super friendly and accommodating. Very nice evening program and the guys from the water activities (also highly recommended!) Always in a good mood and helpful. Beautiful, clean beach!
By car you are relatively fast at Le Morne. Traveling to the north takes a bit longer, but the roads are well developed. Otherwise, Mauritius is not busy and rather bleak. In the hotel can be through the above but very well endure :)

Overall very good experience. Helpful staffs. Food was nice. The only reason I not giving 5 stars is that the hotel needs a renovation. But rest assured everything is well maintained. The Spa massage was outstanding.

A fairly large hotel (Hilton format) on the edge of a nice beach ... nothing more.
I was not disappointed neither by the hotel, nor by the food, but more by the beach, which really lacks the postcard that you would expect when visiting this type of place.
There is sand ... but the bottoms are some, while in other places on the island there are beautiful beaches.
On the other hand side home and catering .... nothing to say: Restaurants, buffets, .... everything is perfect.

Drinks are horrible. Cheap quality. Bar tenders below average. Xmas entertainment team was mediocre. Can count how many guests were on the dance floor. AIP only short time interval. Staff rude and unfriendly towards Mauritian. No value for money

The fact that they force you to wear pants for dinners is crazy. It is 30 C degrees outside with a humidity of 90. Nope you have to wear your pants. If you dont have one they dont let you in the restaurant but they bring you pants in the middle of the restaurant. Simply crazy and stupid!

Tired 5* hotel, food is OK, far from town. Beach is better in next hotels. Infinity pool is a pearl, bar staff could be improved. Value for money seems not to be in proportion.

Very nice hotel, with friendly staff, great food and drinks, comfortable rooms, gym, spa lots of things to do and see.

The staff have this special touch of courtesy and good customer care. Thank you. We will come again.

One of a kind experience at this resort. Truly magical. Although this resort is located next to a popular beach but the activities offered by the resort will keep you engaged for the whole day. Apart from a wonderful stay you can go trekking, biking, snorkeling, sunset and dolphin watch boats and many others. We loved the Sega dance offered by the resort near the beach bar. That was spectacular. Thank you for hosting us.

Fantastic hotel at an amazing location. The staff is super courteous - true Mauritian hospitality. My colleague, a vegetarian, didn't have much choice so chef Vasu went out of his way to prepare something specifically for him. Kudos to that attitude.

Nice room but starts getting older.Food at the hotel is excellent and varied.

Not what we expected from a 5 star.

1: The food was served cold. We had to cut of the edge to paratha/ roti because it was rubbery.
2: We had to call house keeping everytime we wanted our room made.
3: The food tasted okay, we could only enjoy breakfast because what could go wrong with eggs and sausages?.

We recommend. Very nice well-kept area. Staff always friendly and helpful. Waiter very attentive and understand their job. Cocktails and food in good quality.

Slightly short of a five star hotel. Our biggest issue was being moved into 4 different rooms, due to multiple issues (plug sockets not working, aircon issues etc.). Note that the aircon in ALL of the junior suites is not sufficient. One room wouldn't go below 30c, and another two suites wouldn't go below 26c. We settled with a fan. This is clearly a known issue, as we searched and found similar reviews complaining of the same issue. I am surprised that they were surprised! Other than our awful experience with the rooms, the hotel location, beach, spa, and restaurants were nice.

Those stars go to Hilton. Hilton hasn't managed to get itself on the map. Kind of tells this place is wort skipping

Stopped here for a drink to watch the sunset. Beach is lots better than some further up north. Staff were helpful but the hotel seemed a little rough around the edges...pools needs a bit of a scrub. But all in all a good place

The hotel is quite and clean. The combination of colors in its garden is amazing. I loved the breakfast. Nice smell all the time. I recommend it for others!

Spa is not recommended, we have lots more better spas in the island for that price!

Disappointed by the condition of the room, the cleanliness of the resort and the attitude of the staff

Very nice location.
The Hilton Hotel in Mauritius, Flic en Flac, is already a bit older (opened in 2001) and so the rooms show some minor flaws. Our room was very noisy and from the room neighbors every word was heard. In the restaurants you have to wait for a long time for the service, until the food comes then it takes something again. Very good was the service at the dinner buffet, the food was attractive and there are always theme evenings. It is a pity that the scraps of food are collected at stations and only occasionally brought into the kitchen, so there are always many birds, which taste it. Very good, however, is the Ginger Thai restaurant where the Thai Pao cooks very finely. The garden is large and beautiful, in some places the staff always drives with the Caddos on the lawn, so that this is no longer perceive as lawn. In some places unfortunately the irrigation system is missing. Nice are also the two swimming pool. All in all, it should be a little more well-kept seon for a 5-star hotel.

A hotel .... beautiful !! Absolutely nothing wrong with that level. Can be even the most beautiful of the coast Flic en Flac. Pros: A very nice staff, available and listening. My suitcase unfortunately arrived after me, and they took care of it very conscientiously. The beach of the hotel is very beautiful, beautiful sunset to see, the restaurants are very good !! Even the buffet is of good quality. The hotel offers free activities, snorkeling, canoeing, stand up paddle, pedalo which are very good. We tried the SPA: we recommend going there and having a massage. LESS: water is not included in the half / full board formulas. Alcohol even less. So all drinks will be charged extra. Regarding the rooms, 2 notorious facts: the floor is dirty. But you only realize it once you look at the bottom of your feet, which are black. In addition, the laundry has a certain smell. Is it their laundry, their drying ... in short, if the negative points do not repel you, you will live a very beautiful experience
