Worst customer service ever! I asked them to look at my files for deductions and the lady clearly said I couldn't afford them.... Is it because I'm Latino?

Always a great experience. This firm has done our taxes for many years and they have always proven to be very accurate, professional, friendly and helpful. Lanette, the associate that does our return, has been great.

Very helpful, made sure i had everything i needed in order for them to help me and get a better tax refund. They kept in touch with me in order to guide me through. Had open availability for me to come at the time that i best could. Absolutely a great experience.

This was my very first time filling my taxes by myself. The entire office was very helpful in getting me set up with a reliable tax preparer and they helped me get the most refund possible. My only compliant was it was a little more expensive than I thought.

Showed poor inter-office communication among each other. They had 1 complete tax package and it took 6 wks before they started on it. They don't initially explain that they will AUTOMATICALLY place any Corporate taxes ahead of yours. In week 5 that was the explanation given as to why they hadn't started.

You fill out pertinent information on their 10 page Tax Preparation Questionnaire and yet they are quick to say that they don't have something due to YOU not giving it to them. Once they realize they are full of mess or that the excuse isn't logically, they then quickly respond with another angle of NOT TAKING OWNERSHIP. We respectfully submitted packages properly and communicated, but to no avail, there were several careless mistakes on their part. We were new clients that will not be back. We had our previous Accountant/Tax Preparer for 11 years and he is at the point of retiring. I honestly, was hoping that this would be a perfect transition. Not even close to being even an okay experience. I just hope that IRS don't have any issues with their preparations/our files, because dealing with the "team" is exhausting; The "team" meaning his wife, son, and other preparers, they just don't take responsibility. Again, Mr. Don seemed pleasant but we only interacted with him at the initial client consultation.
Several careless mistakes and no ownership made everything questionable for us. Didn't work for us, but good luck to anyone else. Poor service for top prices.

Horrible experience all around. The CPA is knowledgeable but wastes time in consultation in what I perceive is an effort to increase his billing. The secretary is the CPA's wife and she has no customer service skills and should not be at the front desk. It took forever to get anything done and I had to constatly beg for help and service. They also raised their hourly billing rate to $220 an hour without informing me and billed me. They do not post their "standard fees" as they call them. Who does that? I felt I was always on the back burner and utlimatley the CPA only cared about his bottom line. Needless to say, fired this guy after thousands of dollars mispeant. Buyer beware.

Disgruntled Past Customer

I received a call about a week ago asking whether or not I was interested in discussing my business financial and accounting needs. I made an appointment with Donald and met with him in his office. His front office staff were very nice and professional and he was very clear and helpful.

I do a lot of consulting and other services. This place is as simple as hand over docs and get tax return. Love it!

I was referred to this firm in 2009 by my Lawyer ( Donald R Campbell) who said that I needed a good CPA to do my taxes, in his opinion Donald G. McCartney one of the best. Well my Lawyer was right because after 10 years of their service, I'm still a loyal customer.

It took six months to do a simple tax return and they forgot to file an extension. When we asked, they said they thought we did it. Why would I hire a CPA and then have to do the paperwork myself? Now I have to dispute the penalties from the IRS.

I met was looking for a CPA to help me catch up with my taxes. I interviewed a number of CPA's. I met Don at an Investor's seminar and glad I did. He has caught me up and handles all my taxes. His staff is wonderful also. Love them all.

Don is awesome! He works with people that have home based businesses and real estate/note investors. He understands how important it is to keep as much of your money as possible and will help you find deductions. I also had an unusual situation involving the franchise taxing authority of another state and he worked diligently to help me understand the rules and fight what we considered to be an unfair tax. I couldn't find another CPA willing to even work with me on this issue.
Highly recommend his services.

I am completely satisfied with my tax return. McCartney is knowledgeable about tax laws, and lawfully informed me what would be considered deductible/non-deductible in regards to my small business. His wife is very personable and remembered me from a 5 minute conversation we had 2 weeks ago! He has a family business, and I am thankful I found him! I did my research looking for a new CPA. His rates are competitive. He is well worth it to get a good nights rest! I will file with him again!
