It has been 3 years since I visited my mother-in-law in Arizona. We usually fly her out to California. This Mother's Day 05/14/2017 we decided to surprise her for the weekend. We booked with Hampton Inn 05/12/17-05/14/17. We drove and arrived at the hotel shortly after midnight of 05/13/17 Saturday. We woke up and ate breakfast around 8 something in the morning and left the hotel around 9:40 in the morning. After surprising my mother-in-law we return to the hotel around late 11 almost noon. We took the kids swimming noon to 1:16pm. We headed to our room to wash up and head out for lunch with my mother-in-law and I sent my husband to the car (before 2pm) to get my son's tablet (when I realize we left it in the car and Arizona heat can be damaging). He returned while I was dressing the kids to inform me our suburban had been broken into and our stuff was stolen. One Samsung tablet, White Sony Cybershot Camera, beach tent, radio, stroller, water bottles, diaper bag and other miscellaneous stuff. They left a red shirt in the vehicle a piece of evidence. I was in disbelief given the small window we had been back at the hotel. I spoke with Chris Johnson who stated he was the manager and received an apology and that there are no cameras in the parking lot. They gave us Phoenix PD phone number and let us know all we could do is file a report. I felt so violated and alone (who steals more importantly who steals in broad daylight). I can never express thoroughly enough how vulnerable I was left feeling. I felt so stripped and left bare (so exposed). I kept it together because I had four children looking at me but I almost broke when I saw my oldest daughter breakdown crying because they stole her handcrafted mother's day present she made for me. This was so humiliating and although Chris offered apologies, not one Hampton Inn representative offer to come out to my vehicle and take a look at the crime scene. I wish someone would have pretended to care enough to say oh my goodness let's go look at this together. No one stepped foot out of the hotel to my vehicle and try to offer proper empathy. If I had a visitor at my property let's say my house and their car was burglarized I would not just toss them the number to my local police department and say so sorry. I'd get up and go outside to take a look at it for myself and express empathy (make sure they're okay). This was so heartbreaking I did a police report and checked out of the hotel 05/13/17 and Chris said they only charged me for a day. I was at the hotel less than 14 hours and all this occurred. I recommend security cameras for the parking lot, empathy training (making the customers feel worth something) and if you use that commercial flooring company who left their call sign in my vehicle on the shirt not too. I see replies from an Aaron Franklin and I think a Matt, all I ask for respectfully is to not reply with a we apologize and are shocked empty systematic response (in need of a real resolution) I cannot take feeling less of a person after that experience from Hampton Inn. My first time personally staying at one and I would not recommend.

Had a great experience here, we were able to check in a little early to our hotel room which was nice because we had an early morning flight. The manager, Robert, was very helpful and extremely accommodating. Breakfast is a little limited because of COVID but they still had bagels, fruit, yogurt, eggs, water, and coffee. The room was spacious and very clean. The pool was also open and had a good amount of chairs. We had a great stay!

This was a fairly typical airport hotel. The room was clean and had the expected amenities but the facility did show signs of wear and tear. The major negative were air conditioning units that were extremely loud when on, typically waking everyone in the family up several times during the night. Not ideal for tired travelers. Try out the A/C before you settle in.

Stayed in a suite 3 days while visiting family for the holidays. Overall a nice room for the money. Convenient location close to the airport and restaurants but just a few blocks from a ruff part of town. Only real complaint all the suites are located on the side of the hotel closest to the street. Quite a bit of street noise.

I would not recommend this Hotel for individuals traveling with service animals. They have a pet policy that you must sign to stay there that is far more restrictive than any other Hilton brand Hotel I have ever stayed with in the past. I believe it is intended as a deterrent for individuals traveling with service animals.

They charged a $300 damaged room fee after I checked out. I have requested pictures of the so called damage and have not received any after one month of requesting them. As my service animals are Shih Tzus (8yrs & 4yrs old) I know they did not damage anything. When questioned about the cost they stated they had to clean the room and mattress. This cannot be catigorized as damage. The ADA act does not allow them to charge fees for cleaning so they have to claim there is damage to the room.

Their are plenty of other Hotels in the Phoenix area that do not charge this exorbitant fee, or any fee, for service animals that travel with their owners. I would recommend you book any one of those.

So disappointed with this hotel! For our return trip from Sicily, my husband and I were booked for an overnight stay on October 16 for a break before our last leg back home to Hawaii. Our flight arrived at PHX at around 11:30 PM, and when I called the hotel for a complimentary airport shuttle pickup I was told by Jason that he had authorized that my room be given away earlier to another customer and there were no other rooms available. I was appalled especially since I had made this room reservation 9 months earlier! Plus, we stayed at this hotel twice in July of this year; once on our way to Peru and also on our way back from Peru. We even stayed at this hotel on our way to Sicily just a week and a half before the date of our room reservation that was cancelled. To make things worse, when I asked for a hotel recommendation, Jason informed us that every hotel in Phoenix was completely booked. Therefore, my husband and I had no choice but to spend the night in a very cold airport and use the restroom facilities there to wash up the best we could. Needless to say, after being in the air for a total of 17 hours plus 5 hours of layovers, we were not happy campers. For future trips because of the convenience, we most likely will choose to stay in Phoenix to break up the long flights between Honolulu and other countries. However, we definitely will NOT choose Hampton Inn Phoenix-Airport North!

Perfect bedroom and bathroom. We enjoyed the pool. Self-service breakfast with choice of bp. Only downside: no restaurant nearby if you don't have a car and the choice of prepared meals, to be reheated in the microwave in the room, is limited to the worst frozen foods!

Stayed 1 night. An hour after arriving mother nature struck and blew a transformer down the road. I can understand an act of God occurng but to not have a working generator? We watched the staff hook up jumper cables in an effort to get it running. Power was not restored u til roughly 3am....very hot room without ac. The staff never checked on guests...at least not us. By 8am took a shower with no hot water. Oh and did I mention no discount was offered whatsoever.

Our family travels a lot, & Hampton Inns are one of the most consistent products out there. Clean rooms, spacious bathrooms, included breakfast--our kids don't want to stay anywhere else. Only reason for 4 stars here was that this one was in construction with a bit of a mess around.

Absolutely unimpressed! Where should I start, first they don't want to accept the rate in my reservation and try to overcharge me by almost $30 a night. They argue with me and tell me I have to call Expedia to get it fixed. After 45 minutes on hold and on the phone they agree to accept the rate. The bathroom has one towel in it,, what would happen if 2 people were in a room? Then the bed linens have a bad smell. Then I return to my room and find no clean towels and get told that the room is only cleaned every 3rd day! Lastly the television service cuts in and out. I should have stayed at a Motel 6 because I would have received better service. Very disappointing!

Can't say enough good. 2 small flaws were so overcome by the extremely great customer service at EVERY turn. Each day got better. It was quite unbelievable and such a pleasant surprise. Actually really decent location..

The room was okay, one employee was the problem! I booked a family suite (2 queens 1 king). They had 2 towels in the room and I had 6 people, so I went and asked for 4 more towels. The front desk clerk asked me if I had a mask, I replied no. She asked if she could get a mask for me, I replied no. No problem to this point, I don't mind if you ask... But then she gets me 2 towels, hands them to me with attitude and turns to help someone else. I just left to not be confrontational and found a housekeeper and got my other towels. Later, I went to the front desk to ask about the gym, which I reserved. When I was leaving the lobby she yells (with other guests in the lobby) "don't forget your mask when you come back."
I went back in and told her I actually have a medical exemption for masks, to which she basically told me I should have reported my medical exemptions, conditions, etc. to them. Since when has hotel staff become the people I report my medical information to?!?! I thought I was supposed to follow my doctors advice! How have we become so judgmental as a society about masks that the people we are paying our money to treat us poorly if we don't wear one (at the advice of our doctor)???
When I reported her attitude to the manager, while he said she shouldn't have attitude, to my face he still defended her actions by saying that people leave negative reviews online, so here is mine. If this is what motivates them to do something different, then so be it. Don't violate the American Disabilities Act and ask me to report my medical conditions to you, it's illegal!!! I booked a room at another hotel.

Great hotel, the clean rooms, amenities make it, and on top of that it has the BEST staff ever. Bennie and the other night shift guy were life savers for me, going above and beyond on my business trip when my phone needed an emergency repair.

Very nice total, staff was extremely friendly and helpful with all questions. The breakfast was very nice and had a wide range of options. The room was nice and clean, with a comfortable mattress. The pillows were the one minor thing I wish had been more firm. Overall, highly recommended!

When I arrived, the hotel was clean and quiet. Just what I needed after a long drive into the evening from Las Vegas. Chris Johnson handled my reservation with a welcomed smile.

The breakfast was standard for this hotel chain. The kitchen and dining area was clean and welcoming. And, there was Chris again, smiling. He mentioned he had come in the evening before because someone had called out. And, he was back again the next day serving the guests with a welcoming smile.

I was grateful and appreciative of the positive experience.

Keep up the good job!

The place was clean, staff friendly and I loved their breakfast. Real food, make your own waffles, premade omelettes were delicious. Bagles, toast, a variety of juices.. real bacon and sausage. All you can eat with a reasonable time window. (Breakfast closes at 10am.) Swimming pool and jacuzzi were nice and clean too.

Some areas of my room had small signs of wear, very minor.. I looked really hard to find dust in corners and other indicators of slack in housekeeping, they are doing a stellar job cleaning rooms here. Front desk staff was friendly and helpful. Gym was decent.

I have pretty high standards, this a solid 4 star hotel w/o restaurant or bar, there is a bar and restaurant 2 minutes walking time...

The above was early 2018 @ 5 stars, now Dec 2018, fully renovated, nice but weak update and sloppy, it's like putting new paint on old junker car. Room dirty, fecal matter on toilet seat, wall behind toilet, carpets not vacuumed. pillows and towels were huge let down, regret not bringing my own. no firmness in mattress, none. Dropped to one star b/c dirty room.

I was assisted by a lady named Erica who was very condescending and rude, and there was another lady by the name of Michelle who arrogantly told me she was the supervisor and how she and or they were being very professional and she was making indirect comments that she could pretty much get away with her condescending approach in her "so called customer service," as well. The both of them came at me very aggressive, cold, and with obvious personality conflicts, I felt. Barking out comments basically being dismissive, rude and conflicting in every comment that was coming out of her mouth. Michelle was not being professional walking behind me, in front of me barking out rude comments under her breath while Erica was checking me in. Being professional is at least looking at a customer paying good money to NOT be treated the way these two treated me. Between the two of them it was not a very welcoming and or comfortable experience at all, it was like I was at a Motel 6 or worse, I felt, and my blood pressure did get a little high with the condescending, and cold approach by both ladies, just because I asked them to use the card that the room was reserved on, and they did not like that, so for the entire time I stood there checking in Michelle and kept walking past me which was also uncomfortable and doing the ongoing bickering Erica and Michelle were doing because I requested for the card I used online to be used and or was locating a card I felt comfortable using to give to this hotel and having to transfer money to the card to pay for a deposit on the room. As I was doing this, there was no line behind me and I did not take long making this all happen so that they could have a card on file. But I will spread the word being that I deal with a lot of clients I deal with being that I run a company myself, that ask my opinion of good stays in the Arcadia, and or Scottsdale areas and will make sure I tell everyone I know and encounter what I felt was disgustingly unpleasant, antagonists, mean, and hateful acting the two ladies Erica and Michelle were being towards me for no reason. This in my opinion is not good customer service, relations, and or professional.

Sorry to give such a low rating, but for the price this hotel is just subpar. It is old, and just had a musty smell like it was old - don't get me wrong, it was clean, just could really use some upgrades. For being so close to runways I'm surprised at how long it still took me to get to the airport entrance. Friendly staff, typical good hotel breakfast, Nice pool... I just think they should do some remodeling for what they charge. :(

Front desk person working nights was about as helpful as a rock. Had a very rude personality. Ended up walking halfway around the hotel because when I asked for which elevator to use and where the room was located he just looked at me rolled his eyes and said read the signs then ignored me when I asked a follow up question about what side of the building it was on.

We have stayed at this hotel 1-2 times per year for the last 20 years. In March, we stayed there and parked our car in the hotel lot as normal. We came out in the morning to find our car on cement blocks with all 4 wheels stolen in the hotel parking lot. The hotel did nothing - no help with damages, not even a complimentary stay. In fact, they had their insurance specifically write to us to tell us they were not going to help us at all. DO NOT STAY HERE unless you are willing to risk a couple thousand dollar repair bill.

The room was great, loved the beds, service superb, very clean (although there were rust stains in the tub) but the only reason for the 4 stars and not 5... the hot tub was in the main area of the room, would have preferred it in the restroom. But overall I would stay there again.

DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL UNLESS YOU ARE PREPARED TO HAVE YOUR VEHICLE BROKEN INTO. My husband , myself and our two teenage boys stayed at this hotel the night before our 2 week trip to Aruba and had ALL of our luggage, my Macbook Pro work computer, brief case, house keys, everything from my glove box and middle console...These criminals stole absolutely EVERYTHING from our car.. while parked right in front of this hotel! THEY DO NOT HAVE CAMERAS OR SECURITY. When we realized what happened, I ran inside the hotel and explained to the man at the front desk what had happened and he acted like he couldn't care less. I asked if I could use the phone to call the police or if he could, and he said, No. He was very rude and never even offered an apology or expressed any empathy at all. We decided to still go on our vacation. Thank God my husband thought of taking a small back pack to our room, with our passports in it. When we got back from Aruba we filed a police report and were told that this hotel doesn't have cameras or security. We were also told that there are a lot of transients that are found looking in vehicles with flashlights in the evenings. I'm not the type to post negative reviews, ever....but just wanted to post this, to keep someone else from having a horrible experience. This was very traumatic for our whole family and we had some very sentimental jewelry and expensive clothing clothing stolen from us. I've never felt so violated! I will never, ever stay at this hotel again!
