NO EXPERIENCE with DIESELs!!!!
I brought my Ford Transit Diesel July 26 asked to fix check engine and shaking after I stop the engine. I was trying to get the car ready for school.
When I checked in the car PT told me I have two recalls.
TWO DAYS took to do diagnostics. After diagnostics PT told me car will be ready in Two days.
My car was not fixed for over a WEEK because they ve been changing dates when my car will be fixed telling 5 time that the vehicle is not passing some test .
AS a result paid over $900. (over 600 just labor :)) I picked up my car with CHECK ENGINE LIGHT, car is SHAKING sometimes after I stop the engine. Moreover, there is another MASSAGE ON THE DASHBOARD. As addition RECALLS NOT FIXED. Spoke to Stan Jackson service manager. He told me they will order parts and when and when they come they will fix the car. Today he called and told that they will not do that because I have high mileage on my car.

to purchase a 2019 Escape and had no issues. Salesman was courteous and understanding to our goals for payment, interest, and overall end cost.

Only "issue" we had was the wrong floor mat was put in the car after it was cleaned. Noticed this 2 days later and they fixed it in immediately.

Geo was great from the beginning. He made sure I got what I wanted, and he explained everything so I could understand it. Geo even offered us lunch that was brought in for the employees. He is a great salesman and I will definitely be referring my friends and family to him. Jose Piscoya was awesome. He really worked some magic for my financing and got my payment and APR at a great rate. He went to battle for my financing and I really appreciate that. He is very good at what he do. Thank you everyone at the dealership. Even Vicky the receptionist was very accomadating, she checked on us and gave us water. Thank you again and I will see you all for my next car!!

Recently purchased a used Ford from Gwinnett Place Ford, 2016 still under factory warranty. On the way home to SC after purchase, I noticed that there was a security setting on the car that governed the speed and also the radio volume. I spoke to Gwinnet Place Ford and they said that for $125 and a 7 hour round trip back to their dealership, they could sell me an additional key (they only provided one with the purchase) and this would remedy the issue with the car they sold me. HOW ABOUT PROVIDING ME WITH A CAR THAT WORKS AS ADVERTISED WITHOUT CHARGING ME TO FIX IT?!? ONCE THEY TAKE YOUR MONEY, CUSTOMER SERVICE IS OUT THE WINDOW. I have bought about 40 cars in my lifetime and have never had a dealer refuse to fix something that cost $125 to repair, that prevented the car from functioning properly. Congrats Gwinnett Place Ford, you got my money, but you will not get mine or anyone else's I know ever again.

He explained everything clearly, gave me an accurate explanation and his timeline was spot on. Even helped me out with a rental. A special shout out to the woman who helped me with the paper work for the rental... extremely kind.

Bought a 2018 LincolnMKZ, came in for 1st service oil change and tire rotation..after the rotation tire making a loud noise front driver side ..service advise to speak to steven in sales the same guy that sell us the car. oh btw. bought MPP warranty also . ,due to this was the frist service and tire rotation. we ask if they can replace that one tire. . He states No! just bought the car 3 months ago.. And was rude about it.. One tire.and a big dealer like Gwinnett Ford on Satellite cannot even replace one tire in the driver' side .. I think That is Horrible !!!customer service.. I can see if ir was over 6 month ago. But damm! 3 month.... We Won't Never come back to Gwinnett Ford Again to buy any car.NoNo! . And my spouse was thinking about buying anoth car from Here in 2 yrs... Well we wont be Back! to buy any cars for Gwin ford on Satellite!

I wanted to find out about a pre approval my credit file was sent to seven banks this is not what I had requested. I left too much time had been wasted. Called Manager back he talked over me did not listen to my concerns. I will take my business elsewhere. I have far from perfect credit and I know when I am being ripped off. Educated Consumers RUN!

my mother broke down about 15 minutes from the dealership, charged her 250.00 towing and 550.00 for 1 thread repair for blown plug, did not let them do the job, had a tow company travel over 150 miles to bring her car to local dealer for the same price as her 15 minute tow bill there, looked up the labor for thread job, 1 to 2 hours for 500.00, this is more than just making money this is the way to lose customers and leave a bad taste, very dissapointed in such a big well known dealership. both her tow bills and the work performed at local dealer was less than what it would have cost her at GPF, shame

They took forever to put the deal together and time at the dealership was way too long. The finance department is very good at screwing you... be careful. They came after additional tag fees weeks after the deal was closed. They are very hard to reach after the deal for post closing support. They will not refund the amount they over charged for trade-in payoff.

Was in need of a new car and went to this dealer because they had the lowest price on the car I was searching for in the area. Was greeted by Mikhail who was our car salesman. Mikhail was an awesome salesperson that didn't pressure me to do anything I didn't feel comfortable with! He was easy to negotiate with and was super friendly to my mom and I. He was by far the best car salesman I have ever encountered! I definitely recommend him to anyone looking to buy a car. Definitely a great employee! Also the dealership on Saturday had a buffet of southern food for employees and customer which was a nice touch to the car buying experience!

Went to GPF to look at a particular SUV never being there before and what a pleasant surprise it turned out to be. We were greeted by Tyler and was very pleasant from the beginning. He understood what payment we wanted to be at and made it happen. The whole process was painless from the beginning to closing out the deal with Austin. I recommend if you are in the market for a car go to GPF and ask for Tyler. I don't think you will be disappointed.

EDIT: Originally I did not leave a comment, but since they person monitoring the reviews left a comment. I feel like I should give a partial explanation.

I have leased one car and bought two others from this dealership. I can tell you from experience (almost 10 years at this point) that they DO NOT CARE ABOUT YOU ONCE YOU DRIVE AWAY. I have had issue after issue with my cars and when I brought them into get serviced, oh boy the stories I could tell you. I had the service manager say that there was something wrong with the undercoat on my car, the coat of paint UNDER the color and it was causing my paint to chip, but then tell me it was my fault when it came time to fix it. I once had a rental for 2 weeks because no one bothered to tell me my car was ready for pick up. I thought my warranty was still active and before calling me to let me know that it was expired, they preformed services on my car, forcing me to have to pay for services I could have priced out somewhere else. I have spoken to people numerous times about the terrible service I have received and just get the run around. So when the person responding tell me to call and speak with Tom McKnight, there is no reason for me to. I know that if they looked up my account with them, they would see numerous complaints I had already made with them. I'm not sure what they could say to me at this point that I have not already heard. I will NEVER buy a car from this dealership again, which is what I told Herb when he called me asking me to trade in. This place is a joke.

Customer Disservice..

I received a letter that my car was being recalled for a fuel tank issue.

As I dropped off my car, I asked the service employees how I would be transported to work. Last time my car was recalled, I was provided a rental car, free of charge (which only makes sense, as this issue is the fault of the manufacturer).

The employee and his manager discussed it, and I was to be shuttled to work, even though my office is 4 miles beyond their 10 mile shuttle radius. But, the manager said that I wasn t going to be picked up. Oh, and they also had no cars available for me to rent.

I said, ...so I have to Uber back? And they both kind of looked at one another and then back at me with blank stares, likely because they knew it wasn t the right answer, but didn t really care.

After that awkward encounter, I got in the shuttle with a different (much nicer) employee. Traffic was bad due to an accident on I-285, but we eventually got to the destination. I asked the driver if he would be picking me up and he assured me that they would pick me up as long as it wasn t in rush hour. He told me to schedule my pickup when they were done with my car.

Once I received the text that my car was done, I asked the service employee if I could be shuttled back. He responded yes, and asked me what time I needed to be picked up. I told him 3 PM and then there was a long pause between texts.

After sending another message, he finally responded to tell me that they in fact were NOT picking me up and that his manager had told me earlier that it was a courtesy that they even took me to work in the first place.

Do they think that this recall is particularly convenient for me?! If they cannot provide rental cars, then they need to provide some sort of transportation.

After ubering back to the dealership, I picked up my car and drove home. I was prompted with a text survey the next day and mentioned that the service manager was quite rude about making the customer feel as if she was a total inconvenience for their problem.

Maybe a day later, I received a call at work from a number I didn t know. Unbeknownst to the ambush I was about to encounter, I answered. It was the service manager from Ford.

You may expect that she would have apologized or tried to understand my quarrels, but instead she opened up the conversation with directly quoting my text survey comments and reaffirming that it was just a courtesy that they transported me to work. My driver was gone for over an hour, she said.

Yes. And so was I, driving back and forth in Atlanta traffic, because of Ford s recall. My only response was, Thank you for calling. And I hung up.

Not only did she reinforce how rude she is, and let me tell you, she knows how to make someone feel small and worthless, she also 100% discouraged me from ever returning to that dealership.

I wanted to be done with the situation, since the awful customer service and even worse follow up made me feel quite uncomfortable. But, since all of my coworkers were in on the drama, and were frankly disgusted with how terribly the dealership treated its customers, they encouraged me to write a letter or leave another review, so here it is.

I hope this post teaches the manager something so that this dealership can handle its customers better in the future. And I also hope I do not receive another phone call berating me for doing so.

Went to 3 other Ford stores and got the best deal here. Super nice staff ! The Salesmanager was involved in the deal the whole time. I hate when they run back and forth to someone you never see! I think his name was Jim.... he was so nice. Met us at the door fed us lunch and worked all the numbers himself. They gave us the most money for our trade and the payments were less then we thought they would be!! We will recommend to all of our friends and be back when I daughter needs her car! Thanks

Very difficult sales and waiting time extremely long. Bought a used vehicle and promised us a 2nd key that never happen. After a call they told us they will make one for us and that also never happen. They keep calling us for due service even if we are not satisfied with their service based on previous experience. I definitely will not recomend this place to purchase a vehicle new or used gwinnett place honda they are very focused o customers and provide much better service that is based on my personal experience with used car. THIS PLACE IS NOT RECOMMENDED.

It would be a 5 star review except for all the stress caused by saying there would be no loaner vehicle. Service personnel were all GREAT!

I had my 2016 Lincoln MKZ serviced about a week ago and my Service rep. was Glen Benedict .what a class act this guy is.. first of all my car couldn't be ready when promised no problem Mr. Benedict made sure I had a vehicle so I could get back and forth from work.. when my car was ready Mr. Benedict also applied a $25 discount because my car wasn't ready when promised.. because the shop was extremely busy. Just brought a new 2015 Ford F150 from Gwinnett Place Ford, I have to say they do a great service for me. I just give a call for the salesman (Johnny Vu ) that I will stop by and take a look at the car and surprisingly when I get there the car have been washed and look sparkling, and he even that a very good care from explain everything I need to know about the car and the other stuff. Also with a very good deal and offer from the dealer, I finally can drive it home with me. Most of the other dealer you will find a lot of stress and pressure but not in Gwinnett Place Ford.
Very very satisfied!!! Strongly recommend for my friends!

Usually other manufacturers give u a car meantime they fix the recall, so I went their on time and they said their is only one shuttle And it went Buford will take hour to be back so wait and I said no give me rental or car since y all fixing the recall they said no talk to service manager if she authorized Ans she was no where to found. So I call myself Uber and went home.the service advisor didn t even call to let me know ignot my car is ready and when I went myself he saw me and didn t even meet or said bye. Wait time was long no shuttle Only the representative at checkout she was nice and friendly. Paul - in the service area is one of the best human beings I ve ever met.

I came in for a service recall on my 2008 Lincoln MKZ. He told me I could leave the car or get a rental.
He told me about the recall, gave me specs on some cars I am interested in purchasing, and had great rapport with every customer that came in the service area.

This has made me trust them as a repair facility AND a sales location. I am coming back Friday to look at purchasing a vehicle.

Update: After Gwinnett Place Ford responded to this review, we called Tom McKnight as instructed and left a message. To date we still have not received any phone calls from Natalie, the service manager, or Tom who was to investigate our issues. Clearly they were only paying lip service when they say they want to understand what went wrong.

We scheduled our year old F150 for a service appointment to repair the dashboard touch screen. We also scheduled for an oil change and tire rotation. The reason for the service visit was very clear and made with a week's notice. When my husband took the truck in for the appointment, he was advised by Charles Swank, the service advisor, that they would not be able to look at the touch screen today because they "didn't have enough time". He told my husband the oil change and tire rotation would take 2 hours. When my husband asked why they were not prepared to complete all of the work requested, he again just said "we are too busy" and told him we would just have to make another appointment. When the truck was ready to be picked up Mr Swank confirmed they did not do the work to the touch screen or even look at it do diagnose the problem. My husband asked for the paperwork for the oil change and tire rotation. He was told it was left in the truck. There was no paperwork indicating anything was done in the truck. At this point, it is unclear if they even touched the truck to do an oil change or a tire rotation. We were given a card for the service manager to call and discuss why the work was not done. We called Natalie to discuss this issue only to discover the phone number on the card was for the service department, not actually for the manager. When I asked ot speak to her, she was conveniently out of the office. This customer service at this dealership is the worst I have encountered in a very long time. If you plan to use their service department, be prepared for a lot of "we can't do that' and "we don't have enough time" if you need anything outside of an oil change. In a year when it's time for us to buy a new truck, you can bet we won't come to this dealership.

We worked numbers and after some negotiating they gave me a deal worth thinking about. I slept on it and the next day decide to take the car. I went back to the dealer and that's when everything fell apart. The loan they said they could give me they could not and started giving me the run around. I left very upset and with no new car. STAY AWAY from these guys. They make things look good on paper and can't carry through.

Wow! I am so thankful for Mrs. Cherrel Harrison. She had the best customer service and she was very positive the entire time. This was my first time purchasing my own car. So we couldn t agree on price. Sales guy stops me in my vehicle and I roll down window. He said we can drop it to X out the door. I said let me think about it. Come back the next day and he raised it 2K higher. I said you said X. He said that was a hook to get you to come back in. I said, so you lied to me. He said my manager said to say that. I said so one of y all are liars. I am not doing business with liars and walked out. What a waste of time and will never enter this place again.
