One of the worst hotels I have stayed in. Don't book the room here because of the view. Because they will charge you 50 pounds only for the tower bridge view. Even the view is not great. It took them 3 hours in the middle of the night to figure out that ac is not working and there's nothing they can do to fix it. Changed my room at 2 in the night because of AC issue. So NOT worth it

Nice hotel but poor customer service. During our stay the drains backed up flooding our bathroom after emptying the bath, soaking clothes left in the bathroom. They rectified the fault quickly enough but no one seemed keen on apologising. We looked for help getting the clothes washed and dried but were told this was done externally and not possible before we check out the next day. Such a shame as the room was lovely.
Just got back from a fabulous weekend with my sister! Hotel is in a wonderful position we had a Thames and Tower Bridge view - amazing at night!! Big thanks to Paulo who checked us in and to Fabio who sorted our WiFi (several times!) The staff were professional, friendly and helpful. Would certainly recommend this hotel.
This is one of my favourite hotels in London. Location is great, food and accommodations are good. Used the bar, the room service and attended meeting as well as conferences several times here and was happy with the staff, the service and the standards every time.
Good value for money, considering it's smack in the middle of London; our windows overlooked the Tower, which is nice. The upper lounge with snacks for upgraded rooms is the best part - quiet, cozy, and with fabulous views on the Canary Wharf. Service is fast and friendly, the concierge is above all praise.
Hotel is classy and elegant. Old-Skool without being Old fashioned. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Although food is shockingly bad! Breakfast cost extra and is disgusting. Cheap sausages, dry bacon, mushy eggs, horrible bread. Actually gross!
You couldn't ask for more in terms of location. Situated right next to tower bridge you are able gaze upon the vastness that is London.
So many attractions near by HMS Belfast, the gherkin, the shard, tower of London the list is endless!!
If I ever come back to London for a non work jolly I will definitely consider staying at this hotel!
Also if you order room service and it takes long than 45 minutes you get it free... So here's hoping!
Very nice stay over. The view from our room was amazing. We were greeted by friendly staff who upgraded us for no reason at all. Clean, comfy bed. Would recommend. Overall 10/10.
I really enjoyed my stay here. The hotel is in an amazing location right by the Tower Bridge, literally a 30 second walk away. The room was small but super clean and well furnished. It was a pleasure to stay in, and not many hotels can claim that. The service was very good too. Unfortunately, the restaurant and free breakfast aren't great. The food is frankly mediocre and pricey.
Wonderful hotel view of St Katherine dock is amazing. Meet and greet staff go the extra mile to make residents feel at home. We would highly recommend this hotel. Very convenient for all attractions in this amazing city
Lovely 25th Anniversary treat, couldn't fault anything. Staff were very friendly & helpful a credit to the hotel. Breakfast was very good. Also they spoilt us with an anniversary treat. Very impressed & would recommend it to anyone.
Lovely hotel, great view of Tower Bridge from my room. It's a shame that the first member of staff I encountered was extremely rude and get my long awaited weekend break off to an horrendous start.. The 2nd member of staff apologised for his colleague and done his utmost to make the rest of the hotel booking as pleasant as possible... I will contemplate returning avoiding certain members of staff if I do so.
Professional staff and great location... For east London, or the Tower of London. Conference facilities are good. Catering, food options are good, and the Brasserie and dining areas are very nice. Unbelievably ugly exterior. Some cycle parking, but not enough.
Spectacular view, but that's pretty much what one gets for the money. The hotel is worn down. My bathroom was not the cleanest. The room standard is ok, but not up to expectation for the price. The breakfast too was a let down. Quite undrinkable coffee really. And generally not the best selection. On the positive side: the staff of the hotel was very helpful, service minded and friendly.
Clean rooms, fantastic buffet breakfast (kept all items really fresh and cooked properly) friendly staff. Room service was awol when I called though :( still highly recommend.
It's a nice hotel. But... 1) The room decor is a bit tired. Some wallpaper is peeling away. 2) I was over-charged for my breakfast. Because I used GPay, they were unable to refund the overpayment!
Lovely hotel. Very clean with comfortable beds. Even under the bed and mattress was spotless. Breakfast had a wide choice and nicely cooked. Highly recommend this hotel. With wonderful views of all the rooms both back and front. The staff are lovely..... nothing too much.
Nice enough hotel in a great location. Staff are friendly enough. The breakfast offering is extensive and tasty. The room I had was fairly large for a central London location, however overlooking the Aircon units over the roof which are very noisy. View was spectacular. They advertise a gym, which there is in the loosest sense of the word. One running machine, one bike, one stepper, some free weights and a couple of upper weight machines. It's very small and all machines are very close together. All in all though a pleasant place to stay!
No control over room temperature! Very Big issue!! They really need to update this issue. I would have expected the food to be at least 4*, your better off ordering from uber-eats or a delivery service. Getting a hold of room service was a nightmare..the phone wouldn't get a dial tone most of the time. The food from room service, particularly Dinner, is horrible and way overpriced for what you get. The only good thing was the view of the Thanes River and the Bridge.
The location is amazing, great views from the rooms. The shower was leaking a bit and the air conditioner was only capable of blowing out got air. Besides that great place to stay.
Excellent choice for a conference venue. I also stayed one night on the 4th floor, excellent and comfortable room. Plenty of wall sockets for charging phones etc. Comfortable bed and very clean bathroom. Nice choice of food in the restaurant though I played it neutral and just had pizza. Good venue and close to Fenchurch Street for shops and transportation etc.
Big busy hotel, great location. Have stayed many times, very popular with tourists and businesses travelers. Close to many attractions and right on the river, some rooms have great views.
Lovely big hotel in great location. Upstairs bar really only has bridge view going for it but you're in London and there's lots of other choice nearby. Definitely staying here again!
I am staying here for 5 nights and my room is tiny and boiling... in February in the UK!!! There is air con in the room so I put it on and it blows warm air, so I called reception and was told that it s actually a heater! They don t even have air con, despite the controls that say air con . So I asked for a cooler room and was told they would send me a fan instead.
I have stayed here before and know they have larger cooler rooms. It s a shame I ve been put in this tiny sauna. 4 sleeps to go!
We considered the Tower Hotel a perfect location with a fabulous view from our room. Clean, comfortable, somewhat more upscale than other choices in the area but reasonably priced.
Hotel ok, heating in the room poor and looking at the filters through the ceiling vent they haven't been changed in quite some time. Not great for people with allergies , I shall be reporting this independently (not to the hotel) restaurant food average and I didn't expect it to be served in a cardboard containers , I could go to Burger King for that and better value for my money and as for the so called salad, take a look at the photo looks like a bowl of grass cuttings. Would not recommend but what do they care! If this place was in any other location it would have been shut by now through lack of business
One restaurant with very speciale food, nothing ordinary. Beds where had, staff was not good at English. They live on there view, but it is to expensive.
What can I say other than we had a wonderful stay. The rooms, service and and hotel overall are fantastic. Particularly Efren (main reception) who made us feel like nothing was too much bother and is an absolute asset to the hotel. Donna in the Vicinity Restaurant/Bar was second to none too, super friendly and gave us a stand out service. We couldn t recommend the hotel enough and will definitely be returning.
It is my preferred place to stay in London on business. When the prices rise my company has a limit which prevents me staying and the alternate are disappointing. So I try to book in advance where I can
It was fine, food was good and amazing views. Staff were efficient but somehow I didn't enjoy as much as usual. You won't be disappointed. We first visited when they were still tidying up the building site and got away with parking our car where the globe sculpture is now. Hard to follow that.
The staff were friendly and welcoming when checking in, but that is where the positive experience ends. It took 20 minutes for my restaurant bill to be ratified, plus the restaurant staff got other people's food orders wrong. I also notified reception of issues in the room, but none were sorted without me following up a few hours later. I won't be returning to this hotel
Rooms are roomy, for a London hotel. Great views, great location. But no fridge in the rooms. In toilet, reservoir takes ages to fill. Overall, some renovation needed.
Lovely hotel. Slightly shabby in places but the views are incredible. The staff are amazingly helpful and I would recommend anyone who wants to stay in central London.
Wonderful location Hotel spotless Beds were so comfortable. All the staff were really lovely we were spoiled second visit looking forward to the third.
Friendly staff. Unfortunately my stay was uncomfortable. You expect a peaceful quite hotel for 4 star and the price. Even with the do no disturb on we were woke up 3 times. You can hear everything through the window. Even when closed. Have a listen to the video I added if the drain. This happened every morning when others got up to shower.
I went to this hotel for lunch with some business colleagues. We ate in the Vincity restaurant and the food was very good. But one of my colleagues was actually staying in the hotel and said it was in need of refurbishment. He said that he had previously stayed in the Premier Inn at London County Hall which he said was much better and cheaper.
Great location, fantastic views and friendly staff. Bed was comfortable and bathroom clean. Would be 5* if not for an old carpet and no slippers in room. Not so great to walk barefoot on carpet like this!!!
Great value hotel and we got a room with a view without paying for it. Only gripe was the breakfast was hectic - far too many guests for the restaurant size. Would happily use again.
Worst ever experience, part of the ceiling fell on us on 27th JUL 2019, ended up in A&E, till to date the responsible person have not bothered to get in touch to find out how are we from this so called 5 star hotel. The leakage was reported but not attended, poorest maintenance and management. Lol next day another function started with the same condition. Think five times before going there, you could be next who will get hurt.
Absolutely stunning views of London! Staff really went the extra mile and the sunset was gorgeous. Room service came fast and the tube was about 10 mins away
More than 800 rooms, it was full to capacity, we had a problem with the heating not working and were told there was nothing they could do except give us a small electric heater that dries out the air so has to keep being turned off, it was also inadequate the heat didn't reach the bathroom. There were so many people needing breakfast we had to queue for an hour. They would not give a refund for the unpleasant, expensive experience. I would not recommend this hotel
Great experience ! The room was clean and tidy. The view is marvellous as well as the services. No a/c. Breakfast was correct. Ask for Courtney at the reception, she's very kind and helpful.
Our room looked over Tower Bridge, was a lovely room, the staff are brilliant, they are always ready to help with a warm smile. We had a brilliant weekend. Thank you too all members of staff who made our stay even more enjoyable.
I loved The Tower Hotel. Our room had an amazing view of Tower Bridge, huge comfy bed, large TV, nice toiletries in bathroom, kettle and coffee/tea etc. We ordered room service once and ate in the restaurant also and the food was delicious. Staff were lovely & friendly. It was my first visit to London. Cant fault the hotel at all
I think you pay for the views in the room prices. I only experienced room service and the menu wasn't any more exciting that that of a 2 star hotel. It was a handy location for a course I was attending so would stay again if I could find a good deal. The room service staff were very lovely
Queue for breakfast was 100++ people deep and not moving. No extra help at the grab and go as an alternative so that was as bad. Not a single manager in sight sorting it out. Had to leave without breakfast. They took the bookings so knew beforehand how many and what time. Your last experience is the most memorable. You let yourselves down badly.
Visited the Guoman tower hotel for a wedding reception, location of the hotel is fantastic which is right by the tower bridge, the hotel itself was really nice, reception room was lovely, service staff were very efficient, the only downside was the expensive prices for parking. I would highly recommend.
Me and my wife came here for our honeymoon. Everything looked very grand and impressive upon entering and staff on the reception desk were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was lovely although the room was abit too warm and busy, i know its a very large hotel so its not a mark down. Overall we had a good experience at the Tower Hotel but it could do with updating, the room we stayed in (3rd floor) looked very tired. 4 Stars.
Great hotel staff were very kind and attentive. Room view was lovely looking at the river and tower bridge would recommend staying here for couples very romantic and lovely place to stay.
Wonderful hotel in a fabulous location. Have stayed here several times, and loved it every time. Champagne afternoon tea was a delight, served by very friendly staff. Love this place.
Stayed here just the once on memorial weekend in 2017. The hotel facilities are amazing and well worth the prices in my own opinion. The rooms aren t cheap, but the location is fantastic! You are right outside the Tower of London and there s a tube station round the corner. Staff are very friendly and helpful, there was a big group of us staying and all checking in at the same time so it could have been a lot worse. Breakfast was self service the next morning and all you could eat. Would stay at this hotel again for sure...
Proper posh hotel overlooking the Tower Bridge. Great rooms. Great staff. My stay was one night only on a business trip, the rate we paid was great and made this super value for money. Location was spot on and the comfort of our stay was excellent.
Im staying there for 2 nights in april for a weekend away for my partners birthday ive requested 1 of the rooms with a view of tower bridge i really hope they can do this for me
Location is brilliant, but the hotel lacks some refinement in many departments, I wouldn't class it as luxury as per their advertisements. It is what I would expect from a 3 star establishment. I attended a conference, and can only comment on the restaurant and conference facilities, I have no idea what the rooms or guest services are like. The conference facilities are fit for purpose, good filter coffee and pastries were served. Lunch was good, but not spectacular, typical hotel buffet type affair. We had supper at Vicinity - service was slow, took ages to get a drink, over 30 minutes. The dessert was sickly sweet (brownie, with stock standard chocolate ice cream and covered in chocolate syrup, none of it bad, but not good either). The burger I had was moist and decent, but I suspect against its price, not good value. The popcorn chicken was covered in sauce that was sweet and tasted a lot like ketchup - so a little gross. It is however well placed in London, right next to Tower Bridge, so if you have a riverside view, it is the iconic view of the Thames. Facing the other way you get a good view of the City.
We had a room with a great view that looked out onto Tower Bridge and could see the Shard in the background. The hotel is in a great spot for some sightseeing with the Tower of London is just across the road. It was a pretty nice hotel and the breakfast was great.
Problem when we got.to our room, opened it to find someone sat there..... went to reception got another room with a better view. Absolutely stunning view of Tower Bridge .
Fabulous place to hold that special event My Gaming Table Fun Casino Table Hire hosted a fantastic Fun Casino Evening. Guests thoroughly enjoyed the blackjack and roulette tables. The staff at The Tower Hotel are extremely friendly and helpful.
Where do I start? This place is in desperate need of an upgrade. Hardly any power outlets in the rooms and you can hear doors slamming all night long throughout the building. So, if you're a light sleeper, prepare to be exhausted by the time you leave. Topping off the bad experience was having a hotel employee just walk into our room when we had the DND light on - A totally unacceptable violation of privacy.
Excellent location! On the Thames and close to Central London attractions. The hotel itself is modern with an upscale restaurant on site. Rooms are smallish but comfortable, many with river and Tower Bridge views.
I stay here most weeks on business. Great mix of business and tourists. Best hotel location on London. Short walk from tower hill tube and right next to tower bridge and tower of London. Staff are great, rooms are good but vary. Definitely recommend
I don t think you had seen my post before so thought I would repost:
The heating did not work and the only thing I was offered was a portable heater which did not work as well! Upon moving rooms I was informed that the heating across the entire building was not working, when in fact a colleague of mine had been assigned a room with perfectly working heating and with a far more modern set up!
It was quite frustrating that it took me over 2 hours to try and get a room that was clearly available all along, I feel like it was almost discriminatory the nature in which I was treated both by the booking staff and the Night manager after a very long day at work, I was hoping not to have dinner in my coat! I was moved to an appropriate room after the wait at the same price point. I feel the hotel provides very different rooms and experiences at the same price which is very disappointing, I would certainly appreciate a conversation with management regarding the stay.
The rooms are nice. Spacious and clean. Great view and good position, nice front desk staff. But two of the four lifts are not working (still) and so the wait to move floors is longer than it should be. Housekeeping are a bit lax, the ironing board I used two days ago which I collapsed but was in a rush the first day and so didnt put away and then forgot to put away today is still leaning against the wall, I put the iron away last night (Housekeeping didn't bother to yesterday). Tea and coffee isn't replenished and cup still sitting (dirty) next to kettle, yes I can wash this myself tonight, (again was running late this morning when I left so didn't do it) but firstly, I don't work here and secondly it is meant to be a four star hotel, so I did expect it to have been attended to The attached bar is hopeless and we walked out after waiting for someone to take our drink order for over 15min. Couple at table next to us asked three different waiters where their drink was while we were waiting, they told us they had already waited 15min since ordering, place was about half full.
Really liked the location of the hotel, great river views and of tower Bridge and the Shard. On our arrival we got to experience the euphoria of the London Marathon as the runners went over Tower Bridge. The hotel is so perfectly located as you are within walking distance to all the popular tourist attractions. My room was very comfortable and the views were amazing as I overlooked the yacht. The hotel has excellent conference spaces for events.
