Great room with good views of the river. Breakfast was good and pleasant staff
Great room with good views of the river. Breakfast was good and pleasant staff
Excellent stay and service, great views. Breakfast could be better
Lovely place and wonderful staff. We went there for my birthday and everything was perfect. The views on the London bridge are amazing! I would highly recommend!
We went there for dinner with a hotel guest, a relative.
Beautiful setting. Overlooking Tower Bridge.
Food was well cooked and presented. Merlot excellent too.
Staff a little too attentive at times. Not a major problem. Thanks all.
Currently possibly only a 4 star hotel due to the proximity of it's location as some of the standard rooms were quite shabby and require an update but the staff were amazing the very best service particularly the XI bar.
great place to stay .central to everywhere and great views
Lovely and clean. Great location to explore London sights. Staff very good and helpful. Will definitely stay again. The views from the outside restaurant are fab, with the firepits to keep the chill off.
Fabulous location however....
Disappointed with room. Booked as a triple room for 3 adults but has a camp bed for the third adult. Not set up for 3 had to ask for extra cups glasses. Coffee n milk not replenished. Bath not draining properly..
Breakfast second day table cleared away before we'd finished. No still water even after saying they'd bring it.
My friend had 2 bracelets stolen from room. We reported it but nothing mentioned on check out to say how it was being dealt with. We have never had anything stolen from our room before and it really spoiled our lovely weekend away.
Really nice hotel. Lovely locations and good service.
Fantastic rooms, service, and in a gorgeous area right at the heart of London.
Love it. Friendly reception staff. Rooms are a little dated but clean and more than adequate. Great view of the Thames this time. Great view of St Katharines dock last time. I stay here every time I'm in London'. Freshly made omelette for breakfast on order. Good selection of cereal or cooked food otherwise. Lifts can be a bit of a pain sometimes. Close to Tower of London and other sightseeing.
Everything was spot on nice cosy clean rooms staff are amazing and welcoming would like to say a special thanks to Sonia as she helped me get a room that was convenient for me and was available to sort out room service when I needed it
A terribly old and outdated hotel for the rates they re offering.
Shower facilities were old and outdated with very poor control over the water heating system. The sink and bathtub were noticeably aged and had small cracks in them.
The entire room is filled with cosmetic defects on walls, cupboards and carpets.
The lighting is inadequate and barely lights up the room at night. Bed light was also poorly positioned with a lamp only on one side.
The electrical switches were straight out of a 1980s building and weren t in the best shape.
The only modern thing in the room would be the Samsung smart TV, which stuck out like a sore thumb in the 1980s-esque room.
Do look through the photos I ve posted for reference.
I m absolutely confident I could get a far better hotel room at half the price in the same vicinity. My first and last time in this hotel. - Never again
P.S: The staff members on duty were lukewarm in their hospitality at best and were minimal in their guest interactions. The restaurant staff were reasonably service oriented but nothing outstanding.
I booked this for my wife as a present so decided to buy gift vouchers . When we went to book the stay they said I couldn t use my vouchers on. Room
I argued the case and booked the room for 2nighrs . What a disappointment - the view was fantastic but checking in again was a problem with vouchers!
The room was ok but dusty. The following morning I ran a bath and the water was orange ! Rust brown . I decided it was not for me I didn t need a fake tan!! . I emptied the bath which took ages and left an orange stain round the bath . I was emailed asking how they were doing on the day and I replied telling the. About the issue with the bath and said we were out all day if they wanted to look at the issue .
We went back to the the room at the end of the day and the room had not been refreshed and nothing had been done to Correct the issue with bath staining !
The bar man was not helpful and they overcharged us in the downstairs bar/ restaurant by charging for double vodka when we specifically asked for single . The whole experience left us disappointment as we had always wanted to stay in such a location we moved on to Canary Wharf tand wasn t disappointed ! Beautiful experience
I gave this 5 stars to you staff that welcomed me that day. I am satisfied with all of your services. I had a meaningful honeymoon with a room with great views
Ok, its a bit tired and looking due for a full makeover, but location is great and prices will probably double when/if upgraded. Breakfast cheap enough @ 12:00 pounds, adequate but nothing special. Views from bedrooms are spectacular.
Update: having returned, it seems the whole place is getting a full upgrade. If you plump for the executive rooms you get the full benefit.
Excellent location close to Tower of London and Tower Bridge. Check in staff are very courteous and supportive. The hotel is quite dated though the rooms are relatively spacious and offer great views either over Tower Bridge or St. Katharine's docks. House keeping was disappointing, very pushy and then didn't really clean allowing rubbish to accumulate.
Slightly dated rooms but a great location and the bed was really comfy and a nice temperature. Biggest letdown of the room was the TV with a slow speed in browsing channels, limited quantity and the picture itself being pretty fuzzy and below par with poor sound also. Not an issue if you bring a laptop / iPad but staying in similar priced hotels would expect better.
Fantastic location if you are visiting this side of London. Thames water buses nearby and Tower of London are within easy walking distance. Lovely hotel. Staff were excellent and breakfast also. Lots of eateries in St Katherine's Dock nearby.
Fantastic hotel for our last night in London, Amazing view of the Bridge. Couldn t ask for a better hotel stay, food in the bar is excellent and helpful friendly staff
Fantastic location. The rooms and building feel a little dated including the bar. Executive lounge only open from 5
Was not sure what we would find after reading TripAdvisor reviews? However we was pleasantly surprised yes the hotel needs some T.L.C but the room was clean the bed so comfortable and of course the location is wonderful.Great views of Tower bridge and the river . Good breakfast and friendly staff we will be going back.
Been going here for years simply due to the beautiful view of the fabulous and historical Tower of London. I m a Londoner and have seen this iconic wonder many times however I still love to stay at this hotel due to the views. St Katherine s dock is just outside too. The rooms offer views over the St Katherine Docks and the tower.
Good hotel at a great location
Regardless of direction you get a great view, of course the best are rooms facing the river. But even in the other direction you get a good view of the newly renovated docks area. Place full of boats and nice places to eat, drink or just have a coffee.
Rooms are of standard quality, clean and tidy. Great beds in my view, on the hard side, which I like personally.
Breakfast was good, omelet chef on duty, another one I really like. Good selection of fruits and bread.
Friendly and nice staff.
Great location. The best views in London if you are at looking at the river.
Restaurant is not so good. Food ok but pricey and the service not as good as in the rest of the hotel where it is excellent.
I would say get to breakfast as early as possible. Thus is a large hotel and breakfast is very busy at peak times.
Great location! Inside room with a nice view over the Thames what more could you want ! Comfy bed and pillows. Downstairs cafe is stunning with gas fires and over looking the Thames. Woodwork needs to be updates but everything was very comfortable and clean . Soft fluffy towels.
Staff were very friendly and accommodating .
I left an item for a guest and there was miscommunication about this . It was eventually sorted out between guests but the response and attitude from the reception and concierge desk is disappointing. I wouldn t like to think about how they would speak to me if I was actually a guest there . I was thinking of booking this hotel over the Christmas holiday but I don't think so , disappointing
Views nice, but inside is tired and worn. Bathroom really needs a refurb, and was tiny which is disappointing considering the price.
Great location, very good transport connections. Helpful friendly staff, easy to find. Car park limited for space. Once parked, use public transport. Only had breakfast, which was very good, so can't comment on the other meals. Will definitely use again and have recommended to friends.
This is our third visit in the last 12yrs. As always it's a pleasure to be here, the rooms are very comfortable , the breakfasts are delicious and plentiful. And the staff are considerate and will do their utmost to help.xx
Not bad for a hotel this size in London. Good size rooms (almitedly just a bit shaby), great location next to Tower, St. Katherine Docks.
Wow i loved it. So magnificent. Best location. Everything is right there. The tower of london, the waterfront, the restaurants. Taxis handy. BUT make sure you have plenty of time because huge lines at hotel reception and concierge desk.
Ok room but it needs either a carpet clean or new carpet.
Location is next door to the Tower of London.
Quite conveniently located.
My husband and I spent our honeymoon at the tower hotel and we couldn't be more pleased and happy we chose to stay here. The staff were all terrific. They treated us as if we were VIP. Rachel and Matthew were awesome they sent up a bottle to help us celebrate our honeymoon. The overall experience was beyond words and we were so blessed to have stayed in such warm and beautiful hotel filled with kind and friendly staff members...concierge staff was also great. The location of the hotel was ideal for all the tourists activities we had planned and the room/bed was beyond comfortable. We were so pleased with every aspect of our stay that it is our hope to return for our 1year anniversary.
Amazing place to stay! Bought a room for 2 for 2 nights with the request of a bridge view and it did not disappoint! Staff were all very friendly, polite, and professional! Would go back again! Thank you for the fantastic experience!
Stayed here for a few nights, the stay there was absolutely fantastic. I had a room with a view, the service was just quality.
Not a great experience and won t be returning. The location was good, and if you get a view of the bridge that s very nice. However, the rooms are very outdated and are not cleanly (especially bathroom). I was there for my anniversary and had a bridge view room. An older Spanish man (who was training a younger Spanish man) had offered another room since we were celebrating, but it wouldn t have the same view. So I went to the room I had booked, but it was very old and dirty. I went back to him and he pretended he didn t remember me and eventually said room was taken (kept running off and leaving me with another person who just offered me breakfast). But the German lady (manager) was very nice and offered a different room, and had a friendly young Spanish man with glasses and an older Indian man show it to me, although the new room wasn t much better. Overall feedback would be to renovate the rooms.
Good hotel, great location! Some issues with the lighting in my room, which were reported and not followed up on, but other than that a nice experience
It's showing it's age. But clean and comfortable. Chaos at breakfast.
Nice hotel, great staff, comfy bed. Good pillows - mix of feathers and spongy ones. Had an amazing view from my window. Bathroom let the room down a bit as everything was so modern looking, made bathroom a bit cramped and dated looking. Also not a fan of having the handles in a bath if you didn't request the disabled room.
Was a little surprised by the breakfast selection, didn't seem to have much fruit or granola out. Sausages and bacon were nice though so again wouldn't really complain
Guoman hotels is on the building which confused me for a short time as to where my hotel was. Reception staff were lovely. Staff in the Xi bar were rude and the food dry. Breakfast was good though. Water bottles in the room were replaced with half filled bottles so I wasn't sure if I was given used bottles. The TV was a bit of effort to operate. Overall, wouldn't stay here again.
Great hotel veiw the best in London, staff very friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay there again.
Loved the staff and the location . Very nice stay and we really enjoyed it:) Thank you :)
Nice hotel with fantastic views, reasonable prices in low season
The Tower Hotel is very good value excellent position good for getting round London City. Food very good , Enjoyed our stay will be back next time we visit London.
Super bad room service. Wouldnt take my order because they were only serving breakfast when some items on the menu said 24 hours available.. LOL never coming back. Also the room is rly old..
Really nice hotel with absolutely magnificent location and view onto Tower Bridge. Staff and food were lovely. Rooms were a little dated and in need of modernisation however they are clean and comfortable.
Traveled to London to help my daughter celebrate her birthday. Our stay at The Tower Hotel was pleasant. The staff and service was warm and the view was more than we anticipated. I would stay here again for the location, price, and service.
Here for a event prior to a conference for drinks only. Stayed here years ago and was then. Swanky place and great views over Tower Bridge at the front and St Katherine's Dock at the back.
Went here a good while ago. The hotel is located on a fantastic spot in London. The view on Tower Bridge is absolutely fantastic. Take a room with a view. The breakfast was served in the room on a nice big trolley with silverware. I'm not sure whether they still do that. The walk to the tube station is quite long, but do-able. The Tower Castle is very near and also the beautiful St. Catherine's Docks are just around the corner. The Dicken's Inn is worth a visit. And walk around in the Docks.
I ve been to many hotels and I am sure that people who leave good reviews about this one probably had never stayed in a good hotel ever. I was unfortunate to stay here several times for business trip. Had both standard room and executive. Standard rooms are just horrible and require renovation - yellow bathroom and dusty old carpets. Total feeling is like you are literally sleeping under the bridge. Executive suits are fine but tbh this how all normal rooms should look like in a 4 star hotel. The gym is just a joke. Poor internet connection. The whole design of the hotel is really ugly and old. This hotel is totally overrated.
This hotel is just beside of the London Tower bridge, I think good place to have party or wedding reception and staffs are very friendly. Car parking space is limited at the hotel but a large carpark is nearby.
Great experience at this hotel! I booked this place solely for the view of the bridge and was not disappointed when booking a room with a view (be sure you have that selected when you make your reservation). I was there during the 100th anniversary of Armistice Day so it was extremely busy there and in London as a whole but the staff did an excellent job.
I stayed at the Tower hotel for three nights while I was in London. November 15th - Nov 18th.
When I first arrived I noticed stains on the sheets. I called down and let someone know they changed them.
The next two days my sheets were not changed again and the second set of sheets they gave me were not clean either. As a former employee of a hotel I would find that un acceptable for a guest. The air conditioning didn t work as well. We slept with the windows open both nights.
This hotel is average at best. The location is great, and that is what you are paying for. I stayed in a standard room. The bed was big and comfortable, good size TV. No sockets anywhere near the bed for charging your phone, which is annoying when you are using your phone as an alarm. Not possible to stand under the shower head without ducking as it was too low.
It does have some additional facilities such as the gym and meeting spaces etc but if you are just looking for a room to sleep in and some breakfast you're better off at a Premier Inn.
From outside looks bit scary but inside is nice & cozy!
Perfect location, wonderful staff, fantastic view from bridge view rooms, 5 star breakfast. Will definitely stay again
Old but very good place. Perfect location, close to one of the most beautiful places in London
Brilliant doesn't even begin to describe this place
Nice hotel with great views across the river. I was unlucky as air con was not working in my room.
Can be expensive but good location. Ventilation could be better and rooms average for the price
The Tower Hotel
Great Hotel.
The staff at the Tower Hotel, wonderful customer service.
Many company talk about customer service but to they give it?
At the Tower Hotel the staff understands customers, they listen to customers and do their best to help. This attitude apply to all the staff I spoke to during my stay.
Well done, keep up the great team work.
The Tower Hotel is a little dated but it is very clean and the service is wonderful. All the staff was very attentive to us and even if we thought of it, it was handled. The concierge services was awesome!!!! The hotel is located near Tower Hill rail station and the Tower of London. It was a great location to walk to shops and restaurants. Try BoDean's and the Draft House they were great restaurants.
Rooms were very small and old the service in the reception is not that great delivered with attitude. Concierge is very good tried them 3 times and they were very courteous and helpful.
Absolutely fantastic hotel rooms excellent and well serviced daily. Staff very polite and more than helpful
Pay extra and get the view room. The views of tower bridge are amazing. Very clean large rooms room service food was very good.
Fantastic location and friendly service. Pleased to find that they'll also store luggage after checkout for free. Room fittings a bit dated/tatty but the view is hard to beat from the 8th floor bridge view rooms
Nice view, very nice lobby area and restaurant, good rooms, great room service.
Only downside - a bit pricey if you want a view.
It was nice. But we paid for three rooms for four nights. Our friend was about 12 hours late and they RESOLD HER ROOM TO SOMEONE ELSE! There was no where for her to rest after 32 hours of travel. It is not right! The room was hers it was paid for in full and they did not give her any money back!
Great views and location. Very dated and needs work, staff not very friendly and room make up was very poor, no soap left some days and no face washers another.
Lovely hotel with good amenities. We do appreciate the guest friendly attitude of the staff and specially Mrs Montserat , one of the most friendly receptionist ever met
Was upgraded to a double room with a view of Tower Bridge, good size room comfortable bed, good value.
Reasonable hotel for the price, staff friendly and the room was good, if a little dated in styling. Breakfast was good and you can't beet the location. Would happily stay again.
Amazing location, on-site parking and great staff. Like it
Room was disgusting. Bathroom had hair everywhere and never got cleaned over the three days there. Never took away wet towels so they just piled up in the corner of the very small bathroom. Bedroom amenities covered in grime and obviously hadn t been cleaned in between guests. Also amenities where very outdated. Grime on the window from people s fingers and faces being pushed up against the glass.
Be prepared for small rooms, considering the price we paid I expected more. Had a lovely view of the city, not of the bridge. Staff were very friendly and welcoming.
You are paying for the location, not a good hotel.
Nothing amazing. Room and food ok. Nice view of the Thames. Wouldn t go back.
Paid for a standard double room, got a small one that fairly fits the bed. Windows are small and high, have to stand on a chair to see outside. Not recommended.
Great location and views of London Bridge from the room. Clean and spacious, comfy bed, good shower. Friendly and helpful staff.
Bar and restaurant/cafe on site.
The reception area is in a large mezzanine area with steps up to function rooms and the bar. Perfect for business trips.
Lovely large comfortable room and bed. Very good breakfast
My stay at this hotel was really nice. Especially Lies and Sasha were amazing at reception!
Can't beat the views (if you get a bridge view room).
The hotel upgraded us which gave access to the exec floor lounge, which was nice if quite busy.
The room was nicely done, especially at the price, would certainly stay there again.
Dinner was over the bridge so we didn't get to use the restaurant or bar, in general the place was well maintained and very busy.
Attended here for a employer event and it was gorgeous with great and friendly staff
Wine is a bit pricey, but the beer is very reasonable. Views are incredible!!!!
It's the equivalent of an American Best Western. The tiles in the shower are dirty. The bed sheets are stained. The showers do not drain well, the toilets do not flush well, and they have to bring fans to your room because the AC is so weak.
If you get a good room, you have a great view of the London tower . Besides that, rooms are old, they are carpeted by looks of it very long time ago. And my room was freezing, I asked for portable heater to help. There are no power outlet near beds, and only English sockets!
Nice and very friendly hotel. Service excellent. Rooms tiered but hence the price compared to others in central London
Not very modern but a nice cozy hotel by the river!
The hotel staff was very friendly and hospitable. The breakfast buffet was a real plus. The only downside was our room didn't have a view of the bridge. We did however have a nice view of the harbor.
Beautiful hotel for the price.. parking is expensive!!
Great location, decent food and drink, comfortable rooms
