We arrived at Gregg Young Chevrolet with the mentality that we were just doing research on the type of vehicle we wanted since we had an appointment set up with a different dealership later on in the day to look at a 2020 Blazer. We mentally prepared ourself for the usual dealer sales approach and the unwillingness to take no as an answer.
That was in no way our experience we had at Gregg Young Chevrolet, everyone made us feel so welcomed and warm; from the amazing Salesman we worked with in Joe Roberts, to Drake in Finance and even the sales manager who went out of his way to introduced himself to us and let us know that they are there for us.
After speaking with Joe and realizing that Gregg Young Chevrolet had a vast array of vehicles with great prices, he showed us the type of vehicle we wanted and then once he went over their great deals and special offers they had we knew we wanted to stay at Gregg Young and move forward with them. Once we picked our vehicle we got moved to the finance department where we met Drake. Again I can t stress enough how much I was expecting to be pressured into buying anything and everything that was offered to us; never once did we feel pushed or pressured into anything, Both him and Joe were really focused on what we wanted and how we wanted to do it. They listened and made professional suggestions but always answered our questions at the end with this is 100% up to you, either way is great with us .
After the deal was finalized with a Drake in finance you d think they would get us out the door fast in order to line up the next customers right? WRONG!!
Drake and Joe set us up with a free meal from the Corvette Cafe INSIDE the dealership!! I know we had no idea they had one either. But let me tell you, from someone who loves food and going out to restaurants... this food was AMAZING! So much to the point that we plan on going back to Gregg Young just to visit the Corvette Cafe to have lunch. From the big selection on the menu, the inviting atmosphere, and even the chef behind the counter
(who looked like he could bench press a car) was the nicest person! he made great suggestions and the food came out perfectly.
After traveling all over the country for years and visiting many dealerships Gregg Young blew everyone else away at every single level and in every single aspect of the car buying experience.
They gained 2 customers for life.

Bobby and Ken were awesome to work with. They listened to what I needed and found the perfect car for me as well as took care of the return of my leased vehicle. Both were diligent in making sure I was happy with my purchase and took the extra time to help set up the OnStar and link my phone to my new car. I would definitely work with both of them again.
Seth was wonderful to work with as well. He took care of the hail damage to my leased vehicle and worked with the leasing company to ensure I received a refund of the insurance money not needed to fix the car.

The parts department is horrible. Call them on a Friday to have a part ordered way before the cutoff time, they told me Monday it would be in. I go to the store Monday morning and the look and look for it can't find it. They finally come to the counter and tell me that it wasn't ordered it will be a day or do before we can get it in. Not acceptable at all!

They ran a HARD credit pull...not only one....but 2!...then called me and asked if I was interested in buying anything. At the time of the call, they did not disclose that they had violated FTC regulations by pulling this credit report without my explicit permission or knowledge. Now it's up to me to remedy this so I can get a loan for a new car. Shady practices! Will.update if they make this right by me. Just be warned!

Sorry but my prior review is no longer true, I felt it needed to be removed. On April 21st I leased a vehicle & signed all the papers thinking it was a done deal. After 2 weeks go by I receive a text stating there s a problem with the financial part of it. They tried asking me to get a co-signer, I feel like they are renegotiating after the fact, I ve never heard of this happening to anyone before. I m in shock at this point, Shouldn t the financial part of things be done prior to signing & taking your car home?!! I m still waiting to hear the outcome of this situation. I m very disappointed & I ve never experienced anything like this in the past, I ve bought & leased many vehicles from other places. It was my 1st time to GY & definitely my last time. I will never buy or lease a car from them again.

I have purchased several vehicles from Gregg Young over the years and have always appreciated the honest, direct, no games approach they use. Earlier this year I bought a Yukon XL Denali from a local Buick GMC dealership that turned into a horrible experience. In addition, my new truck was displaying serious and potentially dangerous error signals that resulted in the failure of two major modules. I lost confidence in my new truck and wasn't sure what to do. What I did do is not go back to the Buick GMC dealership, but came back to Gregg Young Chevrolet for service assistance. Jack Freese, Service Consultant, was wonderful to work with. Need service, call Jack Freese. I asked Jack if there was a particular trusted sales person I could talk to about my situation. and he recommended Dominic Catania. Right On! We talked to Dominic the Thursday before Labor Day, and based on his counsel and recommendation, we drove to Gregg Young Buick GMC in Indianola, Iowa, the very next day. Dominic and the great people at Gregg Young Buick GMC helped us get into a new Yukon Denali that we drove back to Omaha that day. A very difficult situation was turned into a positive experience. Brought truck in for oil change, tire rotation and to have it checked for headlights dimming when turning the steering wheel while in "Park". They ended up replacing battery citing that it didn't pass a test, but the lights still dim as they did previously. Also said there was "seepage" with the transmission fluid. --replaced a hose or something for $400+ I was later told that (by someone else) that if there wasn't fluid on my garage floor, that Gregg Young Chevrolet was simply screwing me. They also said there was "oil seepage" that I may need to address at some point. Again, no spots on garage floor, etc. Are customers "tricked" into buying service that is unnecessary?

Bought a vehicle here two years ago and Keith (KT) Simpson still treats me like a valued customer every time I come in for service even though he knows I'm not there to ask about a new car. Always sends nice emails for birthdays and holidays too. Customer service is incredible across the board especially the few car washes.
Revised 9/18 - Vehicle was having starting issues I thought were related to the battery and they said it was best to bring it in. Charged me almost $400 just to replace a battery. Wish I would have just called AAA and had them replace it for $200, but the dealer insisted I had to run a $200 diagnostic labor just to check the battery. At least I know where not to go for service.

I was looking for a reliable car for my son. We had been looking for a month and we were down to 2 days before we were headed to Texas. I found a Camry online at Gregg Young so I went to check it out Wednesday night. I found the Camry and it was ugly but next to it was a beautiful white Volkswagen CC. I took it for a test drive and it drove great. We came back the next day at lunch to sign paperwork and take it home. My husband drove it home. He was immediately aware there was a horrible clicking in the brakes. I got home and drove it and I knew it was not doing that on the test drive. I called Gregg Young and the sales manager told me to bring it back in so a technician could look at it. I took it in Friday morning at 7am. They found a cracked rotor and replaced both rear rotors. I was out of there by 9:30 and we drove it to Texas straight out of the service bay. It drove great, sounded great and my son loves it! Thank you for selling a good car at a fair price and standing behind your 170 point inspection! We have driven silverados for 42 years and our next one will be from Gregg Young.

Justin and Matt were awesome, they didn't get the message I was coming in but handled it professionally and got me into the Silverado I wanted. Made it very easy with financing and ensured my truck was fully detailed. It was great management surveyed the truck before and found some rock chip marks and informed me they would get it fixed. Probably would've taken me awhile to see it and never gotten fixed. Loved how you made sure it was perfect coming out the door.

Apparently when you call to talk to service it's not local? Your calling who knows where? So naturally when they talk you in to driving to the service department they don't have to own up to the promises they made. I called and said I was worried that the last place I got my oil changed way over filled it and I wanted to address it today. Being a Saturday not a lot of places were open. He said "I understand. No problem. That's something we can do for free." I also said I wasn't sure but i think there's correlation between that and my low oil pressure light coming on. He said "yea it's most likely the censor we can look and see if it's leaking oil too. No problem." Now when I get to Gregg young they look at me like I'm stupid when I tell them what he told me. The technician says "we would have to drain the oil and do a new change. That's the only way, know what I mean, we can't just stop the oil from draining" I said no.. I don't know what you mean. Just because I CAN'T change my oil don't mean I HAVEN'T, you can let the drain plug leak, without taking it out all the way. As well as you can put the plug back in. It's not coming out that fast. I said I'm not paying for another oil change when I was told you could handle this for free. He tells me "then if you want we Can run diagnostics find out what all the dash lights are on for" in which I know I need a fuse for an 02 censor and a wheel bearing replaced. That's my dash lights. He proceeds to tell me how to exit. Tha k's for wasting my gas and time also letting me know that you apparently out source your calls. Pretty unprofessional

The only thing I would comment about is that one of the 2 rock chips that I had fixed was the size of a pinhead and after there is kind of a little Y crack where that was from the fix. I was told that if it cracks, the windshield would be replaced. I will wait and see how long this lasts.

Overall everything was just fine. Oil change & rotation, no appointment necessary, still out in a timely manner. The food at the cafe was actually really good, and reasonably priced. The sitting areas were comfortable & adequate enough. Only reason not 5 stars is because when I pulled into the garage, no one acknowledged me for 5-10 minutes. 4-5 people sitting at their counters, yet nobody looked up from their desks or computers, and one guy appeared to be just scrolling Craig s list, from what I could see. Someone finally came out from inside and asked if I had been helped yet.

I recently took my Chevy Cruze that I am leasing in for the 5,ooo mile check up and to also have a warranty part installed. I made an apointment for 10 am on a Saturday and got their right on time. When I pulled up to the service department, the door opened up right away so I pulled in. There were other cars in there and people running around, but it took a while for someone to come up to my car. Then when I told her my name, she could not find me (even though I had an apt.)? She then asked if I had been there before and I told her yes. That was very disappointing that she didn't even know what appointments they had, and that I didn't show up under the 10:00 appointments. Anyway, I was then told that it was going to take 2 to 2 1/2 hours and she asked me if I could get picked up by someone & come back. However, None of this was ever mentioned to me when I made the appointment. So I went inside and tried to call someone to come and get me, but I could not find anyone. So I went back out there and talked to a guy and he said something about the car might not be done until Monday. That is when I really got frustrated and asked for a loner so that I could leave. He said that he had to go and talk to his manager and I waited awhile before he came back. Then he said that they were just getting the car in. It took them 2 1/2 hours, and they still did not get the warranty part replaced and said that they couldn't wash it either. They gave me a voucher for the car wash and I sat in line for another 1/2 an hour. The Customer service really Sucks in this department and you get a different story with every person that you talk to. My son is union and urged me to buy American but I have to tell you that I also have a Hyundai and the Customer Service is Outstanding in Bellevue! When you pull up, they greet you right away and know who you are. I never had to wait this long there for anything that they did. If it was going to take a while, they would let you know up front and have a loaner ready waiting for you. Even on Saturdays, I never waited more than an hour for a oil change! My son also recently bought a Chevy Silverado that just came off of a lease and it was SUPOSSED to have all of these warranties on it. This $30,000 truck broke down on the Interstate while my son was driving to work. He bought this truck so that he would finally have reliable transportation. Long story short, he not only missed work and didn't get paid but he was told that he was responsible for this and that they were not going to cover it all! Need I say anymore? I love my Chevy, but I can't say the same about this dealership! It seems like they treat you like a heard of cattle and if they are not making any money off of you, then they really don't care so sad.

My car was purchased here and typically I have a good experience when I get my oil changed and tires rotated, but apparently they overbooked the time slot this last time that I went in for an oil change and it took 2 1/2 hours before it was finished. I was very unhappy about the time it took but will continue to go back because you can't beat the price unless you do it at home yourself. The breakfast that I had was pretty awesome too.

Very friendly, not pushy. I gave them a price they had to beat and they beat it. They didn't try to up sell me. they didn't have the car I wanted in stock so they put me in a much nicer loaner until it came in (it only took 2 days to get it). I told the finance guy I didn't want any of the extended warranties or maintenance plans after he explained them once and he moved on immediately. Bottom line if you go in knowing what you want they will find it for you and not hassle you for anything more. Great experience!

I was not pleased with the lack of effort they put towards helping me obtain financing. I was told to come out and look at a vehicle after through explaining what I had been through. I was advised to come out anyway touch and feel the vehicle. I did just that and of course got excited and was reassured that they would fight tooth and nail to get me an approval. That did not happen. I was told that they would try to get the denial overturned for me as they did not agree with the bank. I sent over all of these documents for nothing. They didn't even run my application. They didn't even try! They made one phone call and when the bank said no, they lied to me and said they would try, but they did nothing. They ghosted me after. I expressed my discouragement especially after being falsely uplifted, assured only to be let down and haven't received any response, no apology, no empathy, or nothing.
I'll never buy with Gregg Young Chevrolet. That is my final word.
Update 11/13 - Last Saturday, I received another letter saying, try us! We can get you approved! From the same salesman! I texted him and asked to be removed from whatever list prompts those letters. Still no apology, no empathy, no explanation. As long as it's like that, I will not change my outlook.
