Zain at Gateway Toyota was excellent to deal with. He did not pressure us and did his due diligence to ensure we were purchasing the right vehicle. I would recommend Zain at Gateway if you are looking for a Toyota!!!!

I purchase my Pruis from the Wheaton Honda dealership in Edmonton and was having problems connecting my phone to the bluetooth stereo. At the Honda dealership's suggestion, I visited the Toyota Wheaton Service Department, and Herman took 5-10 minutes to help me out, and then I was on my way home to Victoria, BC. Thanks Herman!

Oh My God. They closed so early. It should be closed at 9pm, but when I arrived, it's 8:45pm, and it's close. Is it difficult to remind the customer that winter season it will be closed early, at 7:30pm? My friend told me Honda in south side is much better than Gateway Toyota. She changed the location for her car long time ago already. I think I should change location, too.

I was pre approved over the phone and there were no surprises or pressure sales when I got there. All my needs were met and I would recommend Gateway to all of my friends looking to purchase a new vehicle.

I was reviewing other customers remarks and was puzzled about reality of those remarks reason being no any single visit at Toyota Gateway was there for me where there was no any horrible experience observed. In my opinion Toyota Gateway runs in a clever way of making money only. They sold me Gem membership stating the car is covered "bumper to bumper" whereas on 5-6 different instances , it is revealed nothing is covered with Gem membership, it is just a hoax to charge customers 2000$-3000$ (for small cars) to pay the amount to the financing bank with further interest on it. I am totally disappointed with my recent visit with them and strongly thinking to write a message to Toyota Manufacturers worldwide to seriously look after and revisit their name which is at stake with Toyota Gateway. I have bought vehicles from Toyota from two other countries and my experience was quite satisfactory, whereas the worst experience is observed here in Canada.

1. They sold the vehicle with a leaked Tyre which when showed to them came back with a suggestion to purchase a new Tyre through them.

2. Upon having a windshield crack, I went there for repairing as promised in Gem, came back with a suggestion to buy a new windshield from them instead of repairing.

3. I felt noise in my front brakes, so called them and checked whether repairing will be done through Gem, got reply of non-coverage and only inspection of the problem is covered through Gem.

4. When went to Gem for inspection, received remarks of no inspection even without payment of 85$.

I think the people who are giving positive remarks to Toyota Gateway are either New drivers of first time and are unaware about service experience or might haven't seen the height of actual service of Toyota dealership outside Canada or with other good Toyoyta dealers within Canada.

Service was excellent. Jimmy provided introductory details in response to my enquiries and gave me options. He allowed me my space to explore and drive vehicles. He showed me around the building, offer me beverage and was overall very polite, respectful and professional. Excellent sales man.

You got 0 star. I'm here today to get winterization service and windshield replacement. The reason why I chose is it's included tire rotation. But they didnt do and didnt tell me anything. Now i really suspect whether they changed oil or not. I guessed they sent my car somewhere for windshield replacement and ran out of time to winterization service . Good bye I'm not coming back. U lost your credibility. Nice job.
and while driving I can hear crackling popping sounds which seem to come from the edges of the windshield. and look at the picture what have you guys done. My car is 2014 Rav4 it only ran 65K.

Recently purchased a new Tundra from Gateway Toyota after comparing them to other dealerships in the greater Edmonton area. After some initial small problems, which were quickly fixed via Mike Muir (Internet Manager), my wife and I had a great experience dealing with Rob in Sales and Terry in Finance. All of our questions were answered quickly and they went above and beyond in getting our truck set up the way that we wanted. I would definitely recommend their dealership if you are in the market for a new or used Toyota.

Bought a brand new car, everything was taken care ...

Bought a brand new car, everything was taken care of on the phone, all i had to do is go sign and also they delivered the vehicle to my house.
Big shout out to Zain who was very helpful and took care of everything and delivered everything he promised
Also the delivery coordinator Mario was very polite and friendly and always happy to explain everything about the new car.
If you re looking for a new car and want to deal with nice people, gateway toyota is your destination.

Brought my wifes car in with a windshield washer issue and the mechanic found the issue and saved me $400 from a repair quote i had from another dealer. That prompted me to bring in my off brand fiat with a seroius transmission issue which they could not fix but the Advisor joanne researched and found out i still had 2 months factory powertrain warranty remaining. She called and found a dealership that would honour the warranty and my only charge was the small diagnostic fee not the $3000 for a transmission seal! That is over the top service.

Would like to send a huge thank you to the service staff at Gateway Toyota. They were absolutely Fantastic. Addressed my issues and was able to put things through the ECP instead of just charging me.

Their staff was so professional and friendly. The service advisor I dealt with was Tawnja (I'm sorry if I spelt it incorrectly)

I have never had this much dissatisfaction with th...

I have never had this much dissatisfaction with this dealership. My family all purchased vehicles and had servicing done from this dealership within the last 2 decades and it was fine. Within half a year of owning this brand new car, I am going to need to visit the service department for the 4th time. I need to drive to work and I don t have the luxury to keep bringing the car in to get things fixed due to negligence in how service department people take care of customer s property. It feels to me I am purchasing a car to have it wrecked by someone else. I am honestly upset by how I brought the car in perfect mint condition, and I receive it back in a lesser condition.
The backseat headrest is fixed as of Friday, but as I was putting my stuff back inside my vehicle, I find this piece popping out on the left side (looks different from the right side), and looking into that white area, it looks like it snapped/damaged.

Friendly staff, great technicians, great service, my car (and I) feels very good every time we stop by for maintenance. Besides the shuttler drivers are fantastic and I enjoy my free ride to and from work. I always recommend Gateway to my friends when buying a car or for service due to my possitive experience with Gateway.

What a terrific car dealership!! We had to go to a...

What a terrific car dealership!! We had to go to a different province to get the Prius that we wanted ... our province (Saskatchewan) had three total and were not very willing to try to find what we were looking for. (We have been looking around the last two years to upgrade our 2008 Prius)
Gateway ... however.... went the extra mile and found our unicorn (we wanted a color combination that was not common) and had the car diverted to their dealership!!!! They put a hold on it and it was there waiting for us when we got there (two weeks later)
Service was awesome ... they bent over backwards double checking and making sure our Prius was exactly what we wanted.
Friendly and helpful doesn t cover it.... we will continue to deal with this dealership even though we are 10 hours away in a different province .....
THEY ARE WIRTH THE DRIVE!!

They lost one of the parts belonging to my vehicle's wheels and said they were doing an "investigation" into it. They kept on saying they'd call me about it, and they never did. Every single time I would end up having to call them and they would promise to call me back the very same day, which they also never did. Complete waste of time, go to a different dealership.

We were looking at a used Rav4 online, but it sold before we could get to the dealership. Mike Muir asked if we were interested in a new Rav, and was able to offer a great deal on some 2015 Rav4's that they had in stock. The price made it well worth driving 5.5 hours to purchase the vehicle. He gave us an 'all in one' price that included the taxes, cost of undercoating, block heater, dealer fees, etc. He was able to answer all questions quickly online, get our financing set up, and have the vehicle ready for us to see. There was no pressure, it was a great deal, and they were honest and upfront with everything. We really appreciated dealing with Gateway, and would recommend them without hesitation! Thanks Mike!

I bought my first car with Gateway in 2006 and its still been working wonderful up to the present. Each time I get service from them, their service staff always gives top notch customer service. There have been a couple of recalls on my vehicle due to the airbags and floor mats but was well taken care of. Also after each service, their staff go over what they did and what makes me admire buying or having service with them is on every single receipt you get for anything from them, there's a phone number you can call the general manager if there's any reason you can't rate their service as excellent. On a random basis, I've even received phone calls from them doing a follow-up on service done to my vehicle. I have yet not been able to give them any thumbs down for anything. I've always believed in Toyota vehicles as extremely reliable. I'm considering buying a new vehicle in the near future and am hoping to get a good deal on one for being a loyal customer to them for over 10 years, even since their dealership was where Southtown Kia is now located.

If you are planning on buying anything used from Gateway Toyota I recommend looking through the entire vehicle for essential stock pieces that may be missing. Had stock rail system missing from my truck and did not know. I come back to see if I would be able to purchase it and they told me I would have to buy it second hand from some one. They sold me a truck I can't put a canopy on or tie down things until I can find the part my self. The salesman made it very difficult for me to figure that out and made me call back about 4 times until i finally came in to find out you cant buy the part. I was very upset with the service my product advisor gave me. For this reason i can not see me buying another vehicle from here. The guys in the part department were very helpful though

Joanne in service and the General Manager, Chris, are also amazing to deal with. Gateway is always our choice for Toyota needs - our 1999 4Runner is still in tip top shape thanks to them! Gateway Toyota has made a sound investment in hiring Denver Whervin. Their training program shows to me how inept the competition is. A competitor salesman once tried to tell me a corolla is a hybrid, to describe metallic paint as having sparkles. Denver is at the exact opposite end of the spectrum. This man is well trained and it shows.

It is common knowledge the auto sales industry suffers from extreme high and low sales volume throughout the year. If you choose not to support Denver through these low sales periods, you will lose him. This young man has a passion for this industry but he needs your continued support.

With this passion, humility and most important of all, his integrity, this man is a rare find in this industry. Thanks again Denver. Ken and Rhonda Parker.

I brought my 2018 Chevrolet Corvette in to have Doris and her team tint the windows and install 3m paint protection on the front bumper, splitter, hood and both side mirrors. Both the tinting and 3m installation were done professionally and I couldn t be happier. I would highly recommend to everyone I know to come see Doris and her team if they are looking to have these services done to their vehicle. They don t just do Toyota products, they can do any make and model in their shop and in a timely fashion.

The car was sitting on the parking lot for 3 days because they didn't organize everything to get the service done. With that I had to pay extra rental. The manager unfortunately tried to justify and find excuses as suppose to find a solution for the issue. Beside that the parts department staff was really rude. Don't recommend.

This was bar none the fastest, easiest most painless vehicle purchasing experience we have ever had. These guys are great, they give you your space, are knowledgable and are not high pressure sales. They are honest and fair which is very hard to come by in the car sales world. You won't get pressured into purchasing extended warranty or vehicle protection detailing packages. They are fantastic! Would definitely buy here again and recommend to anyone I know. Loving our new 4Runner. Thanks Bob!

My wife bought a Rav 4 from them and I was with her through it all. Staff are overall very friendly. The deal she got was competitive but not great. When we took delivery, the body of the car was not polished to remove some marks and swirl and promised. The girl who did the in car training was rushed and not thorough. I still haven t figured how to get the air blowing consistently from the back vent. She knew little or nothing about the installed dash cam and promised a video she would email that we didn t get. Everywhere there was pressure to give them a full 5 stars on the review they would send us. Anything less than 5 stars is a fail . I think the signs I gave were not enthusiastic enough so we did not receive the review at all. Whether they just didn t send it or if they filled it out with perfect scores on our behalf I do not know. Then there is the clever way they don t cross the line, but give you the distinct impression that if you don t get it serviced at the dealer, you could void the warranty.

Giving them a one star review would be considered generous after the dealing with them. I posted my 2012 Lancer Evolution for sale on kijiji. After about a week I received a call from a sales representative from gateway Toyota saying they wanted to purchase my vehicle for close to the asking price. Once I arrived at the dealership I was given a big runaround while they attempted to upsell me on some vehicles I was not interested in for over an hour. when the used car manager finally "had time" to come inspect my car they then came back with an offer that was about 30% lower than the black book value and considerably lower than their original offer over the phone. When I inquired why the offer was so low they claimed "the car needed a new clutch and it was missing some body parts". This car was in immaculate condition and only a week earlier I had Southside Mitsubishi do a full mechanical inspection to assist me in selling the car and it passed in very good condition. goauto also inspected it days earlier and stated it was in very good shape. when I attempted to get the used car manager to show me exactly which body parts were missing he simply refused to talk or deal with me. I have never in my life had to deal with such incompetence and lies from a dealership. I will never step foot in this dealership again. in case you were wondering the EVO was sold for full asking price a week later in a private sale in Sherwood park.

Had a 2004 Rav4 inspected through a private purchase. Was pleased with the results and made the purchase. Two weeks later I just replaced the battery. I don't understand how a simple thing like this can be missed spending 150 on an inspection. I will be calling them on this and we will see if their customer service pars out with the competence of their mechanics. Now I can only wonder what I got myself into with this purchase. Otherwise it has been super great to deal with them.
Especially if you have a better price with anything you want somewhere else they will match it guarantee

We arrived a little early, but they took care of us right away. The service lady and very good at her job, pleasant and fun to talk to. Give her a gold star for customer service. While waiting we toured the show room and chatted with Hector, who was our salesman last year. Very nice to be remembered by him. Also we had a question, and he went out of his way to find someone who could answer it. Great job. My husband is 80 and I am close behind him, and we really appreciate good honest service. My previous experiences with the service departmen...

My previous experiences with the service department have been amazing. This most recent one was very frustrating. Came in for an oil change and general maintenance service, normally it's taken an 1-2 hours (which I was completely fine with) this one took an extra hour. That's not the worst part, I was in the waiting area waiting, two hours pass then the third hour passed and I noticed my vehicle sitting in the lot all done... I was thinking alright should get a call soon. Waited another 40 mins and I had to call my service advisor to get a status update. Service advisor answered saying they had a solution to my problem with the vehicle (clunking sound with the brakes), was given the solution and asked if I wanted to proceed with the fix as the tech "had it apart". Which it wasn't because I've been staring at it for an hour in the parking lot. I told the advisor I would ask my father if he wanted it done and he said not to. I called the advisor, got sent straight to voice mail. Waiting on the call I was hoping the service advisor would admit that the vehicle was already done. I got the call and the service advisor said "Okay give me 5 minutes the tech will put your brakes back together" As the advisor said that, I was still staring at my vehicle which was parked in the lot. There goes my trust with the service reps at Gateway Toyota. A real bummer as service here was always great. Bottom line is, if you're going to lie to a customer make sure they can't see their vehicle all done in the parking lot.

Edit May 2020:
I brought the vehicle back to them for an oil change and 4x4 service. Service was really great this time and even solved a question post service over the phone. My confidence is back with their service department. Good service

I am very concerned for the safety standards of the sunroof in my vehicle RAV4 year 2017.
This problem is a clear regulatory oversight in the auto industry which no one has offered to address something needs to be done about this matter in order to guarantee the safety and well being of my family as well as regain my trust as one of your loyal customers. When you have clear evidence of a problem like this, regardless of what the standards are, you the automakers should develop a consistent approach in order for their customers to follow. I am at a loss for what to do as neither the car dealership nor the insurance company will help me, yet the car is still under warranty.his is a clear public safety issue and it is very disconcerting to know that the sunroof glass inside of vehicle can shatter at any moment directly on top of my head and my infant.This I have suffered a great deal of personal hardship and emotional distress, trying to resolve this issue.

Made an offer on a SUV last week. Tried to get them to waive the doc fee of $500 (get them to come down $500 on the price). The product advisor assured me the management team would not budge whatsoever on price. 3 days later they dropped the vehicles price by $1000 dollars and it sold Saturday. If I was the owner of this dealership, and knew my staff could have sold a vehicle a few days earlier for $500 more... Needless to say, I'd be upset as an owner GM. Poor experience, and do not recommend. Try a different dealership.

Always a great experience when I go in . If you are going in for parts ! see Justin . He is always getting things on time or early for me and knows his stuff !! > he has helped me with tires for several vehicles and after market items from the best places at the best prices . The drive in staff always rush to see me when I come in and make sure my vehicles are taken care of right away .. Maybe it's because I bring my puppy in for visits !!! lol . The staff there are always friendly and helpful . Doris the service manager is always a big help. She goes above the call of duty and has made it a pleasure to continue having my service needs met. It has been over ten years and counting now and I wouldn't go anywhere else!!

Customer service like you have never experienced before! Doris (Service Manager) and Doug (Service Technician) couldn t do enough to make the customer experience better. They squeezed me in, even though I didn t have an appointment. They had to get a special part so the technician went out to purchase it for me. I was running late for a personal appointment so they shuttled me to my doctor, even though the regular shuttles were all out at the time. Highly recommend Gateway Toyota Service Dept.

Amy helped me get into my 2019 RAV4 Trail, I was originally looking at the 4Runner but just didn t work for my budget. I brought up that I was also looking at the Highlanders and RAV4 as other options. Amy right away knew what I was looking for, we both had the same taste in vehicles which actually made the whole process easy and didn t take me long to fall in love with what she suggested as a next go to.... Ashley helped me in finance and was also super quick to answer any questions I had. Amy also answered all my questions and concerns in a very timely manner. I ended up picking up my vehicle the very next day, so I appreciate how quick they were to have it ready, I had Mario help show me all the perks of the vehicle and he was super friendly and patient as my whole family came down with me. Dimtri helped finalize the deal as Ashley wasn t in that day I decided to come down. They are all a great team. Terrible service department.

Terrible service department.

My 2009 Rav 4 was recalled the 2nd time in the past 3 years. I went to this dealer today (where I bought this vehicle), and ask them to do what the recall letter said. My wife and I have heard some noise from the rear of the vehicle on some occassions (not always). We just want them to inspect the vehicle and make sure that it is safe to drive, especially when we have a 2 year old baby, and my wife is being pregnant again.

Firstly the guy at the first desk was saying that recalls are actually a good thing, and that we should expect a lot more from Toyota, because "Toyota now recalls for every little safety concerns." What kind of lame excuse is that? Why didn't you make the car safe the first place? and when recalls happened, the guy is actually proud of them? (lest say sorry?) Unbelievable!

Then the guy took a look at the car, looking unconvinced because no one in Canada has experienced this issue, and I couldn't duplicate the noise. He asked me to take off the car seat (he is not even a technican) and then he wants to charge me for the car inspection. I argued that this is not what's indicated in the recall letter, and I read aloud the pertinent section to him.

The guy finally turned this to his Manager (Doris). She sang the same song as the front desk guy. And I have to read the letter aloud to her for the second time. Then she threw the paper on the desk in frustration and finally agreed to inspect the car for free.

All I can say is that this was a very bad experience and it tells you what this dealer is like. This will be my last vehicle I purchase or service from this dealer, and I certainly won't recommend it to anyone.
