I had a great experience looking for and purchasing my new RAV4. Kyle is a great salesman and I never once felt any pressure to get into anything I didn t want. Very willing to work with their customers to ensure they end up with exactly what they re after, for the right price. This is pretty unlike experiences I ve had at other dealerships and would highly recommend Gateway Toyota to anyone looking to purchase a new vehicle.

My 2016 corolla broke down due to problems caused by the command start. The command start that was bought, and installed at gateway toyota upon purchasing the vehicle. Even with my extended warranty on the car, they won't cover the damage. Now I'm paying for a rental car and waiting a week for parts to come in. I can't believe I bought two vehicles from Gateway. No one in my family will purchase a toyota ever again.

Excellent courtesy, service, communication and results. On October 21, I left my 2007 Matrix for seasonal servicing and to have the tires swapped for winter. A problem with the front disc brake roters was discovered and Troy contacted me to advise it be fixed. I felt completely confident that the work was necessary and would be properly performed. As on previous occasions, service was performed efficiently and in a timely manner.

Last month, my 79 year old mother bought a new Toy...

Last month, my 79 year old mother bought a new Toyota. She had been thinking about this for many months and, when she received an email advertising the employee pricing sale, felt it was a good time. She did not take anyone into the dealership with her.

The next day she told me about her new car but said she felt like she had been taken advantage of. I looked at her sales bill and was surprised to see that
a) she had paid full MSRP for the car including every possible tax and registration fee, and
b) she had only been given 2500$ trade in for her 2010 Camry (120,000km, original owner, no accidents). Apparently they told her they would need to have the car repainted because it had scratches on it.

I returned with her the next day and advised the sales person that we would not be giving them her car in trade. We subsequently sold it privately to the first buyer for $8250.

I also asked the sales person how much of a discount she had received for the employee pricing (which, according to the bill, was obviously nothing). After much mumbling and going out to discuss, he came back and deducted about 5% from the MSRP. No apology for failing to give her the advertised discount. After all of this, I personally would have bargained for a better discount but she did not want to make a fuss.

I really believe my mom was taken advantage of because of her age and inexperience with this entire process. I am certain Gateway will reply that this is not their usual practice, but the fact is - it obviously IS their practice. I will not go anywhere near this dealership after this. It was a distasteful experience.

Went in with my partner to get a new truck for him to drive. We knew he might have difficulties getting approved for financing given some past hiccups with his bank and we expressed his concerns and fears to our advisor. Clearly wearing his anxiety on his sleeve that he would be stuck in his current situation, the advisor looked him in the eyes and reassured him she would update him by 2pm the next day. 2pm came... nothing. day after... nothing. Day after... nothing. We called and asked for updates.. they said the advisor would call... nothing. Texted our sales rep periodically... nothing. Now 6 days later we had to physically go into the dealership asking for answers and some communication to sit down and hear there s nothing we can do for you . We understand the outcome but our frustration and hard feelings lie with the fact that they did not keep their word about updating us on the process and were left in the dark for so long. 10/10 would not recommend for the lack of communication and customer care.

The Gateway Toyota will always be my number one location to go to when buying a vehicle! I just recently bought a 2021 Rav4 XLE Premium and I just want to say that all the staff working there were very accommodating and knows their Toyota very well. I highly recommend Peter in the sales floor, because he s always been so accommodating to my preference and budget. I have bought my second Toyota from him and he has always been clear and honest to what they can offer to you, and will give his best to offer you the deal that you prefer. Overall, I m really satisified with the deal I got on the Rav4.

Moreover, all the staff in the finance department are amazing, but I prefer dealing all the paperwork with Catalin Iancu, because aside from the fact that he s a funny and awesome guy! I don t feel pressure buying protection packages or maintenance when he is offering it to me. He is always very flexible with packages options that fits my need and budget! And he always give me the time to think about the offer.

Lastly, Charles! he was the one, who explained the features of my vehicle and showed how to function it properly. He was very excellent and really knows his Toyota well! He will make sure that all of your questions are answered. Overall, great doing business at this location :D Honestly, I have visited other Toyota dealership, but the Gateway location always go beyond your expectations! I always feel that I am a valued customer to them! It s definitely the first dealership location I recommend to all my friends and family!

I stopped by for a routine oil change (covered by my awesome extended warranty) without an appointment. They got my in right away and were extremely professional and prompt. Being new to the area, I wasn't sure what was in the area to do while waiting, so Veronica suggested a few places and ever offered to get a courtesy car to drive me where I wanted. I opted to stay at the dealership where they have a lounge area with a TV and small cafeteria. I got my truck back not a minute later then the time they quoted me at, and ever washed it for me :) Very happy with their service and will definitely be going back to this dealership for all of my maintenance needs! Thanks guys :)

With the help of salesman Mike Muir I was able to find the perfect car for my needs and budget. very bad experience to this dealer! good thing i don t own toyota for my personal, only the reason came here coz i drive company vehicle..i dropped the tundra on Saturday for a tire change, and someone called my co worker on Tuesday that vehicle is READY for Pick up, so i called next day to arrange a shuttle service, unfortunately due to covid19 they don t have shuttle service, so i asked my husband to drop me there on Thursday morning. Since it is my first time, i approached to one of the counter service worker if she can help me, she said i have to go to the pick up service counter, the guy was on the phone and one client waiting, so i waited about 5 mins..the lady looked up the paperwork and it wasn t there!!! so instead of telling me to wait there and get back to me, she asked me to go and talk to Bonnie! what kind of service is that? sending me back and forth, from lobby to their garage which is not safe at all where all vehicles parked there, when i approach to Bonnie, again she never say anything to me until i asked hey! where you want me to go? stay here and wait for you or i have to go back to the service counter again? I feel so really bad how they treated me like an ignorant!!!! And i can see as my observation the team in this location are not happy with their work...no smile in their face.. i don t recommend this place!

Just went to check out aka tire kick the new 2020 Camry TRD. They let me check it out thoroughly and offered a great deal. They were very nice and did not pressure me at all. Toyotas are my favorite car brand most reliable I have ever owned. Currently I own and 2002 Camry LE, 2010 Prius Touring and a 1987 Supra Turbo.

We bought our car from Gateway about a year and a half ago, but our situation really required us to have a second vehicle. I reached back out to Michael Dillon (he sold us our Camry, and we had a GREAT experience with him then), and we started the process of buying our new vehicle. We don t live in Edmonton, and time was kind of an issue, so Michael helped us go through most of the process before we went down to the city. All of my communications with Michael and everyone else at Gateway were so easy and everyone was so helpful and friendly. We love our new RAV4, and I would recommend Gateay Toyota to anyone looking to buy a vehicle. We can t thank Michael enough for all he s done for us.

The sales department was great, however it was aft...

The sales department was great, however it was after I purchased a brand new 2020 Rav 4 that the service department provided extremely negative customer service. I originally brought up an issue a couple weeks ago about a dust leak coming into the back passenger seats of my car on both sides. The mechanic originally told me to keep my air intake at 3 to lower the cabin pressure however after another week or 2 of driving the leak was still there. I booked at appointment for July 14 at 9:30am and had Stephanie as my service advisor. I let her know that I would need an update on when my car would be finished ASAP as I had a long drive home and was just hanging out in the mean time waiting for it. She said she would do that. 4 hours later I still had not heard any updates so I decided to call her back to check in. I was put on hold for approx. 10 minutes and finally transferred to the service section. The lady that answered let me know she would have to go and find Stephanie and I was put on hold again until I was eventually hung up on. I was in the area as I was waiting around so I went into the actual service area and conveniently she was just at her desk. I asked her if I could have an update on when my car would be finished and she told me that it had not even gone in to be looked at yet. This was at 1:12pm. I asked her why my car has still not been looked at if I brought it in 4 hours ago for the appointment? She said I looked upset and I said yes I am upset I have a very long drive home which is why I asked for an update on whether I need to wait here all day or when I could pick it up? She said I obviously didnt know how a service area works in a degrading tone. I said im sure anyone would expect there car to be looked at within at least 4 hours when they had an appointment otherwise why did I waste my day dropping it off so early? She said she doesn't know what I expect from her and I said to have my car looked at and be updated? She said that if I had let her know I lived out of town maybe she couldve got it in earlier. Like what does that mean? have people been getting bumped ahead in my appointment time? I told her I would assume if I asked her originally for an update ASAP as I had a long drive that would be enough for her to sense the urgency? She told me it might go in in an hour. At this point I decided to drive home as I've already waited around in the city for 4 hours and was upset by the terrible customer servcie and the degrading why I was talked to. Around approx. 4:02 I get a voicemail from her telling me my car is ready and I need to come in so she can go over things with her. The service manager then calls me and lets me know that absolutely nothing was done to fix my dust leak. She let me know that if I did want to fix it I would need to purchase $600 running boards. Why did I buy bumper to bumper extended warranty to pay $600 to fix a dust leak? Currently its still in the shop. Still not fixed. I don't see why I would need to pay for a fix on the car when I signed a contract with warranty and if thats the case you may as well refund me the entire warranty as I have copious amounts of dust all over my seats in my "new" car. The original mechanic had told me there was a couple of different options he could try to fix it so i'm not sure if you are now telling me you can't fix it due to me calling out your awful customer service and your degrading service advisor?

Gateway Toyota provides excellent products. Fallon McCormick as product advisor was well informed and organized. She helped me to choose the right product for me to buy. I told the manager to give her a raise! My new 2017 blue Yaris is ideal. I have dealt with Gateway for more than 12 years. Their service dept. always provided timely service and repair. I highly recommend them as a dealership to build a long term relationship with.

Very happy with our new 2019 RAV4 limited hybrid. Sales associate Ryan Topilko his sales manager Kameel and team were fantastic, trustworthy and did everything possible to make the car buying experience uncomplicated and positive. I would highly recommend buying from Gateway Toyota! Some of the communication with the finance team could have been improved, but in the end they went over and above to address our concerns.

Having been in the auto service industry myself for numerous years I wanted to let everyone know my personal experience with this wonderful Service Department. The extended hours on Monday and Wednesday made booking an ease.
When I arrived, I was immediately greeted by Graham ( Service Advisor) who looked after all my requirements. I was able to enjoy their beautiful facilities while my truck was being worked on. I had the chance to talk Doris the Service Manager, also and could see her genuine care for the customers which she brings to her employees and it shows.
Overall a wonderful service experience from start to finish.

after 2 days i checked the heater was not working i called and email them. Why you hide it this magor defect.
They said it not safety esuo. If I was known it has this problem I wouldn't buy it

I go over the amvic but it took a month. And not help.
Now they said we well give $250. As good will . I pay you 9500.00.
For that car sham on you hide the problem on the car.

Don't sell the cars that wort $6000 and sold it 9500.00

To be perfectly honest it all started with a small...

To be perfectly honest it all started with a small miscommunication between myself and one of the sales people. Immediately after talking to Camil the Sales Manager - he took care of things and sent Rohan - the Assistant Sales Manager and the vehicle I was interested in over to my house within two hours of my call. As I did not have a vehicle at the time I greatly appreciated this courtesy. Upon arrival Rohan greeted me with a smile and was extrenely down to earth. Friendly - with a big personality - he made me feel like he cared about my business. It may sound cliche but it's true. He listened to my concerns and my questions and answered them - right there and then. I eventually ended up purchasing the vehicle and was impressed with how the dealership handled the back and forth and eventually the sale. No bs. Just straight talk. Through Camil to Rohan to Kyle the finance fella with whom I signed the paperwork - the people were the same: genuine and professional. By all means make your own decision of where you want to purchase your next vehicle but I know where I would go...

The salesoerson Peter was very helpful. In the beginning, I made a call to Toyota to check the price only. I had so many options to choose from and Toyota was only one of them. However, I could feel great passion and a good heart from Peter and he made me to lease a car in Toyota. I respect his awsome sales talent to meet satisfaction bothside of seller and leaser. Also I realized that Gateway Toyota is very special place. All the staffs serve customer with true heart and delight.. I think because they have very close family like relationship each other of staff, so customers could feel comfortable. I could feel they liked each other and respected each other. No one looked stressed out by long hour work duties but they looked so happy. At the time they celebrate the birthday of a staff and Heather the financial manager shared me a piece of cake. Eventhough I could not get any explaination of detail of operatoon of the car, because they have lack of time to serve me as a very last minute customer before the shop closing time, I still strongly recommend this place. Oh. Addtionally, they have a good branch service such as annual car indoor cleaning and at time flat tire fix service. Thank you so much Peter, Heather, Stephanie, and other staffs

Disappointed with Toyota. I have a 2012 Toyota Sienna which is regularly maintained at Gateway Toyota. On the last visit I was told my head gasket had blown (120,000km) and needed to be replaced $6000. They can only tell me it's because my engine got too hot - this usually happens because of a coolant leak or not having enough coolant in the radiator. They flushed my coolant 5 months ago. This vehicle is driven by a soccer mom. This is a manufacturing or maintenance issue and they refuse to accept any responsibility. They have now lost any of our future purchases and our 2 x a year maintenance on 3 vehicles.

Terrible experience with service. Brought in the Toyota for a routine oil change and a recall. We were told it would be 1.5 - 2 hours after he looked at what had to be done. We took the shuttle to go have lunch as we are from out of town. After 3 hours go by we call the service department and are told the vehicle won't be ready for another 3 hours. So it went from 2 hours to 6 hours and we weren't notified of this at all. Being stuck in Edmonton with no vehicle and having to wait. Completely ridiculous, we should have been told this when the appointment was made to begin with or when the vehicle was initially dropped off

The sales person was rude and got mad when i ask for my deposit. I had to wait for a week to get my deposit back. Sales manager Rick and sales person Gerry force me to buy a vehicle that i didn't like.

It took i week to get the financing. Phone calls and the messages wont be returned.

I went to Sherwood park Toyota and got a vehicle for better price and The Best Service.

I have been taking my 2015 Tacoma here since I bought it from Gateway in November of 2014. This is the best service I have ever received from a dealership. The Taco itself has been a great truck, needing nothing more than regular maintenance.

I am driving Toyota's since I started driving. I must say highly reliable vehicle to drive in any kind of condition. Recently I bought pre-owned Avalon 2013 on Feb 28th, 2018 from Toyota gateway. Buying experience was not so good because the sales associate was more interested in selling rather to deliver a pleasant customer service experience. Yes from management side (financing and Sales Managers) it was an excellent experience. I ran into trouble after purchasing (some tweaks required) and sales manager Kamil really helped me out and other sales managers as well.

At the time of purchase I had been told that I have a 30 days warranty or 2500km whatever comes first if I face any issue with my vehicle mechanical or electrical so I can bring it in, to fix it or return the vehicle. I noticed couple of things during first week of driving, windshield washer nozzles aren't good, bad wheel alligenment and Blind side monitor malfunctions on the very first day. I brought the vehicle back talked to Sales Manager Kamil and he sorted it out and service department fixed it without any cost. It was an excellent experience no doubt in it. I thought I might be missing something on blind side monitor so I gave it one more try and it started working after temperature backs to normal my first thought was because of heavy snow sensors might be covered with mud and snow and that was the reason but after 5 days again BSM malfunctioned. I booked an appointment with service and talked to the sales associate (who sold me the vehicle) the blunt answer was, 30 days warranty only covers major mechanical faults only and this is non of his business because I purchased a used vehicle. He didn't bother to listen to me properly instead to make me feel that I owe him something and move on. When I talked to the service department the told me that there is a TSB on the vehicle for BSM and they aren't sure that TSB is covered under extended warranty. ( I bought comprehensive warranty for 36months/60000 km when I purchased the vehicle). The service desk lady told me my extended warranty is suspended and she isn't sure why it is suspended and she will look into it. Later on I called Toyota Canada they told me to contact the dealer. Business department at Gateway sorted it out and told me, warranty is up now and fixed. (I understand the system delays). Excellent response from Gateway business department.

I m giving Toyota Gateway 5 stars because today when I talked to the sales managers on floor they took ownership and one of the Sales Manager specially accompanied me to the service and told them to keep him in the loop. My only concern is the bad customer experience with the Associate who sold me the vehicle and avoiding ownership.

Corrie was very helpful, knowledgeable about the product and the company processes and made buying the car easy.
Of course, it helped that she is of Scottish extraction!!

I recently purchased a new tacoma from this dealer...

I recently purchased a new tacoma from this dealership. But the experience make me think the saleman only want your business so he could get the deal but at the end it wasn't what you wanted. The deal is I thought i got a full 3m wrap on the front of my truck to the bumper but did not realize I got only the hood, fender and side mirror only.I did ask the delivery coordinator about the 3m wrap on the bumper of the truck on the day of the delivery and he told me it is there but after few days I realize it wasn't. I believe all of this is a miss represent from the salesman and the delivery coordinator.

We have owned Toyota's in our family for over 10 years and have always had servicing done at Toyota dealerships. I just wanted to say that Gateway Toyota is the best dealership in Edmonton from sales to the service department. We just started dealing with them and would recommend this dealership to anyone that we talk too.
