Dry Guys Basement Systems Review

The Crew from Dry Guys Basement system was on time and competed the work in the time frame they gave. The foreman Ian Rock was very professional and kept me informed through the entire job. I inspected the work and it was clean and appeared to be done right. I would recommend Dry Guys to my friends and family if they needed any basement work completed.

From start to finish, the Dry Guys were excellent with customer service answering any questions I had, to the actual job itself, to the prep and cleanup afterwards. What seemed like a big job to me, seemed so easy for them and they kept me in the loop every step of the way. Anyone who wants to prep for potential water issues to even currently having water issues, let these guys do the work. They will not let you down! Can t thank or recommend them enough!

3 guys started the project, 2 guys Freddy and Dan finished the project on the second day. Excellent work, non stop. They were very polite and courteous. Good workers. They encapsulated 1017 sqft and rim joist insulated 187 ft. And installed a better access entrance to our crawl space. Known as the Turti, it gives you plenty of room to enter the crawl space. Love it, thanks for all you done. Great job.

Carlito/Jake did a great job explaining what they did in the maintenance of our humidifier and sump pump. Dry Guys booking staff is also one of the friendliest we have dealt with.

We had an estimate today with Ray to check out some water we've been getting in our basement crawlspace. He was extremely courteous and asked a lot of questions to make sure he understood what the issue was and could come up with the best possible solution. We were honest with him and let him know we had been collecting other estimates as well.
After reviewing exactly what needed to be done, Ray was very honest with his pricing and what they could do for us. Unfortunately Dry Guys just wasn't the best fit for the type of work we needed to have done. But Ray was a pleasure to speak with and we will be sure to be in contact if we ever have similar issues in the future.

We had a great experience with Dry Guys and would highly recommend. Needed our crawlspace encapsulated and found them online. Had Tim come out initially and we had alot of water and dampness in our crawlspace. Really nice people from beginning to end. Foreman Ian was really nice and kept us updated on everything throughout the whole process. Looking forward to a better overall house and crawlspace thanks to Dry Guys!

Our basement guy was friendly and pleasant. He went over the job and explained everything about what he did and gave us a report on performed work. No problems, quick and easy.

From the Start to the Finish the entire team delivered on every detail that was promised. Everyone that I had contact with was very nice and professional. I have already reached out to them to schedule a new project.

This is by far the worst company we have ever done business with. We called dry guys at the recommendation of a friend (who's friends with the owner) and we signed a contract to have an interior perimeter drain system, sump pump, discharge line and Sani-dry system installed. The salesperson was confident in designing the system and discharge line when we signed contracts. We put our deposit and waited months for the work to begin because there was an unusual amount of rain that season and they were swamped with work. The crew finally came and started the job and Dominic, who was here for the install, said we could not use the plans the salesperson drew up and ended up running the dis charge line in another direction and further out (which we had to pay extra on the spot for). After the work was completed we paid the final installment. We quickly discovered that the amount of water coming from the pump was spilling over onto our neighbors driveway and we were having a new issue in the basement with water where there wasn't before the install. David came out to our property and told us that the interior drain was not looped back and therefore it was collecting the water and dumping out the lowest point. When speaking with someone in the office (can't remember which person) we were told that water may find a new way in and they quoted us for more waterproofing in the second area. We decided to wait until the original work was corrected to see if we needed the extra work done or not. Cody then came out to the house broke up the floor removed the system and left everything piled in the basement because he had a rehearsal dinner he needed to prepare for. Dominic came out to the house to discuss what to do with the discharge line that was still flooding my neighbors driveway and was livid when he saw the way the basement was left. He reassured us that the work would be completed quickly and decided to cover the cost of rerunning the discharge line and covered the first maintenance. This is where my main, and still unresolved issue is. Dominic told us there is no good place to run the discharge line. We were given two options: run it to the street like the original design of the salesperson, or run it 300 feet back to the woods. Considering this is not my area of expertise I asked him which is the best option and he told me option one. So we went with it. The main issue with this is that our property is very flat. Our property has been the same topography since day one speaking with this company. Our discharge line is still not resolved OVER A YEAR LATER and we CAN NOT get anyone to call us back. We were told by Racheal, the tech who came out to do the first years service, that the discharge line is still not correct and she spoke with Dominic. The water is being dumped on the side of our house. Racheal taped a plastic bag with duct tape around the freeze part of the discharge line to stop the water from pouring on the side if the house. It's still there to this day and it is a sight! Dominic has REFUSED to call and speak with me. We were told that they installed our design and that they aren't doing anything else for us. OUR DESIGN??? We called this "professional" out the the house. They sold us a solution to our problem. We paid them for it and they have yet to deliver. I was told by our friend that these are "good people". He couldn't have been further from the truth. They are incompetent and unwilling to admit that their sales person had no clue what he was talking about and we, yes the homeowner, is stuck with the bill and we still have the water problem. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THEM. If you are looking for someone who can do a better job that these people take a look in a mirror and you have found someone. We reached back out to Dominic, Dan the owner and Kim the 2nd generation owner and no one has gotten back to us. Actually Kim emailed us by mistake and when I responded...crickets. As a consumer, YOU HAVE BEEN INFORMED. STAY FAR AWAY FROM DRY GUYS!

Karl and his colleagues finished the installation today. Everyone was very friendly, patiently answered my questions, and took care to keep my home clean - thank you!!. They even finished my project one day ahead of schedule!

Ed and Kelly were professional and extremely helpful. They made the installation work despite a drainage pipe obstructing the installation site.

I highly recommend Dry Guys. The crew that came to our house (crew 3) were so professional from the the very beginning to the very end. They kept us up to date on everything they were doing. We had the best crew. We were on a strict timeline because of moving and they finished everything on time. They even cleaned up the site and were very neat. Super professional and the nicest guys!

I can't emphasize enough how good Jim, A.D., and Jacob were on my job! Far from the typical contractor experience. These guys were friendly, courteous, and very hard working. They showed total respect for me, my wife, my home, and the money I was spending to get this job done. They were completely explanatory about everything they were doing and why they were doing it. My neighbors even commented to me on how hard the crew worked and how courteous they had been. As I said to them on several occasions, the customer experience and the expertise provided by the crew and everyone I dealt with at Dry Guys would make me recommend them to anyone I know! Our technician today was very friendly and helpful. He explained clearly what he was going to do to our system, and he showed us how to maintain it throughout the year before our next annual maintenance.

Really happy with the encapsulation of my crawl space. However the only real thing I am not happy with, I got the industrial dehumidifier installed. Your installers said it doesn't come with a stand and I could purchase one. Why wouldn't that be explained to me during initial cost quote?!? So now it's sitting on a makeshift stand of foam board and cardboard?!? For the amount of money spent to have my crawl space done right, a 30$ stand should have been provided or explained it needs to be purchased into the cost of installation.

Disorganized at best. Sloppy at worst. Sales Frank promised us all the bells and whistles in which we paid 12 grand for in cash. The clean space is not adherent to the walls and is torn in multiple areas and roughly chopped around the windows. The dehumidifier was on backorder and Dominic had no idea when I called almost 2 months later to check on the status. He scheduled to deliver the following night, no show! Jesse and his co-workers from Dry Guys provided excellent service and explained the process each step of the way.

We had this service in July 2015; while my initial review was very good and especially with Jason as the lead man, it has "bugged" me ever since that this is where my flea infestation originated!!! Yes, I have cats...they were all treated and none had fleas....determined by Vet visits....but the things I have learned about fleas makes me even more sure of what I am saying...

The in and out of the workers in the basement could very well bring them in and the vibration of the jackhammer woke up any and all fleas!!! Once they wake up...look out....!!!

My other issue is with the amount of money spent to have them come back and adjust the pump....it would NOT stop running....yes....Jason and crew did everything by the book; but not knowing the water table in the area, etc.....played a role in the need for them to come back....there really should be a one time post installation visit; to make sure all is well....

Would I hire them again? probably.....but I would have to think it through on a cost basis....It is quite expensive and the flea infestation was pricey too....but to my happiness it only took a good 3 months or so to get rid of the fleas!!!

I am sure the company would deny this flea issue to the bitter end; but there is no doubt that this work we had done was the culprit...it could happen with any kind of work being done with people coming in and out, so beware of this and be prepared.......

Hi,
Spoke with Chris today, 06/24/2016....His company did do treatments for the fleas in my home. It did not "completely" work; but Chris did help to "educate" me a little further on fleas.
There were NO FLEAS here prior to the install on July 7, 2015 and according to Chris it is very likely the in and out of workers all day could in fact cause fleas to be brought in!!!
He did clarify that the actual drilling of the basement floor did not cause the fleas.
I understand a lot more about fleas than I care to admit; I know about the dormancy, etc.....and I do know that it is just one of those things that can happen when you have work done inside your home. I was not "downing" your company at all...but potential customers should be made aware of a flea issue as a possibility!!!
I appreciate that your company does in fact check their reviews and takes the time to assess them.

Ian Rock and his two man crew did an awesome job in our basement. The work was completed on time and in accordance with our contract by DryGuys system designer Peter Fedorkowicz. The crew protected our belongings and left the basement in order. Everyone involved with this project was professional and polite. We are very pleased with the process and the final results. Bad Experience. Dry Guys was recommended by a neighbor. After the estimate and design meeting, we were quoted about $ 8000 more than what our neighbor paid (same size house). While the Sales Rep/Designer was very nice, we definitely felt that we were given a dishonest estimate. It appears that the company offers a good product, but the Sales team can not be trusted. We were very disappointed in how Dry Guys conducts business. Sales Manager (owner's son) did call to try to explain some aspects but he actually made it worse. Beware of Estimates. Do your homework. We are searching for a more honest contractor. Also, they wanted to charge over $300 to remove a few bottles and a piece of wood from under our house. Greedy. And supposedly this was all with a 5 % so called First Responder's Discount. Retired NYPD. 9/11 First Responder.

I have to say, Bryan's knowledge of the equipment he was servicing and his attention to detail during the service itself was nothing short of amazing. We rely on these pump systems to keep the basement of our beach home dry even when the surrounding ground is absolutely saturated with water. All employees were very knowledgable and helpful. Everything was explained concerning the instalation and function of the products used. Each day I was given a detailed explanation of the progress and what to expect the next day. The entire job was completed according to schedule.

The crew arrive right on time, worked very efficiently, was very careful, and cleaned up the work space leaving little trace of their extensive work. The job was done professionally and the system works very well. All in all, we are very pleased.

Dry Guys installed their flexi-seal crack repair system in my basement today. A great experience from start to finish. My quoter, Mike Grubb, was very professional and organized. Dry Guys are miracle workers ... they transformed my wet , muddy basement into dry living space. They come right out if there are any problems. And they are wonderful to work with.

I had Dry Guys in to do basement waterproofing on one side of my house several years ago. Their work then was first rate so when the other side of my house needed a similar solution, I went back to them. During the estimation phase, Dave was a pleasure to work with. My crawlspace project was completed yesterday. I was impressed by the fact that the crew did not consider the job complete until the whole team was satisfied with the results, especially Ian Gattuso who sold and supervised the whole thing to completion. It took several follow-up visits from the different crews, but in the end the job was done right. In my book, it is an excellent company that will go the extra mile to make sure the job is done right.

Extremely poor service. 5 months of chasing them down, I was told today that they are delaying service by another 6 weeks. Do not return calls or emails. On top of it all a horrible attitude. A huge waste of time. Taking my business elsewhere.
UPDATE: since running into the issues, Dry Guys have been quick to respond to rectify the issues. While the work is still not complete, I will give them credit for the efforts in resolving the issues.

Excellent experience with this company. If your looking to have your crawl space treated then look no further than Dry Guys. I spoke to Kim and Dominic and both of them are very educated in this field and super helpful. They installed a nice white, thick Vapor barrier to stop the moisture from intruding into my home. My crawl space now looks incredible. I had no idea what a difference this would make. Highest quality workmanship you can do. thank you!

My crawl had gaps leading to the outside causing all sorts of debris and animals to get inside not to mention the cold air. Dry guys arrived on time and with all the equipment they needed. The Dry Guys did an excellent job on my Cape May Point property. They sealed and placed a dehumidifier in the cross space. Installers were very customer focused and were easy to work with! This was the second property I had them work on.

Our annual maintenance on the sump pump was done by service tech Rachael. Dry Guys sent us an advance e-mail with Rachael's work bio. Rachael called the day of the service and updated us on the status of her arrival.
Rachael completed the work and left our basement in great condition. No dirt or water. This is why we always have Dry Guys and we have recommended them to family and friends.

I can't recommend Dry Guys enough! Mike came out and checked out my basement and made recommendations on work that needed to be done. Their quote came in slightly higher than some others I received, but it was definitely worth it for the service received!!

Anthony, Shane, and Chris were the ones actually installing my system. They called each morning and gave their estimated arrival time so I knew when to expect them. My wife and mom were the ones at the house during the day, and I'm pretty sure they all became my mom's new best friends. Anthony, Shane, and Chris were all incredibly courteous and professional. They kept us updated on their progress, kept everything clean and tidy, and were very helpful when they came across an issue in my basement that required additional work.

If you are looking to get basement work done, don't bother looking any further. It may cost a little more, but for the warranty, service, and professionalism, you won't find a better price or a better company.

David was the service tech that came out to do our sump pump annual service. He was extremely professional and courteous, explained everything very clearly, and was helpful and informative. 5 stars, highly recommend!

I m not even sure where to start... My wife and I bought a house in the Collingswood/Oaklyn area a few years back. We knew upon purchasing the house it was in a high water table by a creek and the whole town pretty much gets water in their basements. After trying my best with our sump pump, dry lok on the walls, and painting the floors we were out of the woods for a while. Then one day I noticed a small puddle in the basement... Then the next rainfall it was a little worse, until eventually we were getting full blown flooding. You can t stop water... I reached out to Dry Guys after asking about their reputation with a family member in construction. As soon as Dominic answered the phone I knew I was in good hands, kid just didn t hesitate and was on the ball. By the end of the day we were exchanging texts and pictures of my basement. Which as a business owner myself I feel is above and beyond for an employee to do, and I hope my employees care as much and work as hard as Dominic does. Within a day or two Pete was at my house and in my basement explaining what the problem was and that they could absolutely fix it. We went over the details of the system and it was obvious Pete knew exactly what he was talking about. I trusted him enough to tell my wife that night we should move forward. We did, and were put in for the next available date. As it got closer I received calls to confirm the date and time etc. The morning of I got a call from Freddy telling me they were on their way. Freddy Alex and Cody broke their backs for two days straight cutting out the concrete for the Water gaurd trenches and removing all the rubble. They laid the system and smoothly covered the trenches back in with cement. Then hooked the pumps up to my pvc system that leads out to the street. They were on time and stayed late to make sure they got it done in two days... Not easy work, and they did it with the upmost respect and courtesy to myself and our home. An hour after they left Pete called to check in and make sure we were pleased, which we absolutely were. I can t say enough about Dry Guys and their crew, other than I wish I called them a year earlier. A week later and after all the snow and rain we ve gotten, our basement is bone dry. To Pete Dominic Freddy Alex Cody and the whole Dry Guys team, we can t thank you enough. It seems like a small thing. Dan, Ian and the rest of the team at dry guys made waterproofing my basement an easy process. Everything was laid out up front and with honesty. Any time questions arose during the process they were always answered in a timely fashion. Maintenance and and scheduling has also been an easy process. I would highly recommend DryGuys to anybody who is looking to waterproof their basement.

Ian and team showed up on time, were VERY friendly, explained everything clearly, had no problem stopping to answer my questions and did an excellent job waterproofing my large basement, very high quality work and very satisfied with the absence of water in my basement :)

They even went the extra mile and came out for almost the entire day Saturday so they could finish the job before heavy rains hit, major kudos.

As a first time homeowner, shy of just a year, there are many projects on the to do list. As a new resident to NJ, we settled on a home in Carneys Point. Our home was totally remodeled by the selling contractor. We had no insulation, sump pump, or dehumidifier underneath our crawlspace. I had two quotes performed for our crawl space, Dry Guys and another local business. To make it fair company,"X" quoted me 4500 dollars, after multiple reminders to add in exactly how I envisioned my crawl. Dry Guys spent about 2hrs late in the evening, accommodating our work schedules, evaluating, mold test, and reviewing the condition of the crawl space. The salesman explained Dry Guys product and what they offer in depth. He did not once shove a sales pitch down my throat. Step by step we started alleviating the problems: mold treatment, dehumidifier, sump pump, rafter and foundation reflective insulation, and clean space. I was able to see in real time my products and costs. I wanted something that will protect the health of us, our dogs, and home. Not once did company X mention mold or take samples. After about a week of evaluation and securing funds we signed our contract with Dry Guys. From start to finish, (just yesterday) they have been extremely oriented in communication of the project. They sent out two packages for reading material, getting to know the staff, and other general information. The foreman showed up three days prior to starting to get an idea of how much stone would be needed to backfill a large hole left behind from a furnace. I didn't even know this was included but was extremely happy to have it resolved. Two day project, Monday and Tuesday a three man team treated roughly a 1600 sq ft area for mold even though mold was present in certain areas. Electric run was subbed out, but a dedicated line was placed in service for the sump pump and dehumidifier. Rafters and entire foundation walls were insulated. Clean space and easy access door installed. In addition, I had two down spouts tied in on the fly to the sump pump discharge line. Dry Guys have exceeded my expectations and come recommended. I feel happier our home is a more healthy environment. In closing, I usually have three different estimates provided by contractors if I am looking to have work done and do my homework on those companies. You may see some negative reviews here regarding costs but honestly speaking: you get what you pay for. I hope to have a long lasting customer to provider relationship with Dry Guys for years to come.

We recently purchased an older home in Linwood, NJ that had structural issues with 2 of the basement walls as well as dampness and a damp odor. Our rep Mike from Dry Guys came up with a plan to secure the walls and get rid of our dampness/odor issue that worked within our budget. He spent alot of time with us and gave us options without any pressure.
We felt comfortable going ahead with Dry Guys and we are so happy that we did. We had top notch installers come to our home to do the job. We had Crew 3 : Anthoni Santiago, Cody Kidwell, and Christian Reico . I cannot say enough great things about these guys. Anthoni kept in touch every morning to let us know their ETA and what work they would be tackling that particular day. He explained everything they were doing and was happy to answer any questions we may have.
The guys worked really hard installing the power braces and got it done in the time frame they had stated. These guys really take pride in their work and Anthoni made sure every detail of the installation was done correctly . Being an older home with some unforseen issues, the crew had to make a few adjustments to the project but they came up with solutions that kept within our budget which we greatly appreciated.
Cody had some great recommendations and options for waterproofing our walls that we look forward to doing in the near future. The guys even left the work site cleaner than when they arrived. Amazing !
We are now relieved to know our basement is structurally sound and the Sani dry system our crew installed has already made a difference in the dampness/odor after just 24 hours of installation.

Dry Guys provided waterproofing and added metal beams to support one of the walls that was bowing in our basement. I was impressed by the professionalism and pride the crew displayed in performing their job. Ian was the crew chief, and he and his crew worked hard for 2 days. They took the time to answer my questions and explained to me how the system worked. These young men worked well together in supporting each other. Originally, I had some concerns in the beginning regarding scheduling. However, once the crew came out to do the work on my basement and I saw the quality of the work that was done, and I felt confident that I picked the right company to do the work on my home.

Elliot and Zack did a great job and did a nice job explaining any necessary details with me during the joist repairs and dehumidifier installation in my crawl space. Additionally, the initial estimate was low pressure and provided a lot of great information; and the customer service I have experienced with them has been excellent. Rich was the foreman and did an excellent job explaining some options we had and how the system would work. The work they did looks really good. I'm almost hoping we have another flood to see if it works!

On Friday, December 30, 2016 a double DryGuys crew, with Ian as foreman, completed a waterproofing and drainage project for my home. The crew was quite efficient, as well as friendly. All questions related to the project were answered immediately. Additionally, throughout the day Ian and his crew provided step-by-step explanations and descriptions of the current phase of the project and succeeding steps. Though the project was complex, the crew worked into the darkness of the early evening to successfully complete the project, concluding with Ian patiently "walking me through" the operation of the newly installed dehumidifier and a summary of the tasks involved in the project.

Ian and his crew were professional and careful. He made sure to communicate to us everything they were doing and when complete, everything that was done. Excellent experience!

I called Dry Guys to waterproof my basement after a previous company failed. My first experience with Dry Guys was with Kim who examined everything. She started with my exterior and worked her way systematically inside to my basement and by the time we got to the basement she was informing me of everything, not only the areas that were of concern to her but also about my soil and why the system from the other company failed and how Dry Guys could do it better.
I contacted a structural engineer on Kim's advice, who confirmed that everything Kim told to me was accurate. Unfortunately, I had to wait awhile to have them come out to do the work because of the pandemic. But I was finally able to have them came out. The crew Kim sent to perform the job, Ian, Billy, Greg and Nate were the epitome of professionals. They answered all of my questions no matter how insignificant I thought they were.
During the 3 days they were in my home they were polite, hardworking, and conscientious. They made sure my basement was clean throughout the entire process, including cleaning up every night before they left for the evening. Kim stopped by 2 of the 3 days her crew was in my home to not only make sure I was happy with the crew she sent but also that I was satisfied and that everything was meeting my expectations. They not only met my expectations, they far exceeded them!!!!
I couldn't have asked for a more professional and knowledgeable company. My only regret is that I didn't use them in the first place.

It only took us less than 2 weeks from the time we called the company up to the completion of the project. Mike was very accommodating and the foreman, Carlito, who fixed our water leak problem at our basement did a very efficient and neat job.

Dan, Ed and Anthony did the installation of Waterguard and Sump Pump at my residence. These guys were GREAT. They are extremely hard working guys. They also explained everything and answered all my questions. Showed concern for my property by keeping it clean during the installation and disposing of all trash before they left. The DryGuys Team are fantastic at what they do, its a shame there aren't more teams out there like them and their WOW! Service. I have dealt with many contractors in my time and have rarely had an experience from start to finish go so smoothly. Michael S. who did my estimate was very helpful, setup a comprehensive system and didn't just try to upsell me on unnecessary things. He gave me a date and they stuck to it.

Ian and the guys that came out to do the actual install were nothing short of spectacular. They called ahead to let me know they were coming, they explained everything that they were doing, set milestones for the installation and let me know what was completed and what was outstanding. They were very punctual, did very high quality work, and answered all of my questions.

A very big factor that I personally hold key value in is the crews respect for my property when they are on site. These guys knocked it out of the park, I made them aware that I have small dogs and they made concessions to accommodate me there as well.

Once the install was completed, they made sure to field all of my questions, showed me the completed project explained everything in terms that the average joe can understand.

Just WOW!! Can't ask for much more than that.

My whole experience w dry basement was excellent..from planning w Mike to my 3 man crew that made it happen,Rich.Carlito and Freddy.they were in touch every step of the way.did an excellent job and finished a day early..they didn't cut any corners..actually they went above what was required and were courteous and kind..answered all of my questions.were very knowledgeable..I would highly recommend dry basement to anyone having basement issues..if not..u get what u pay for..

Dry Guys to the rescue! We have had mold issues for years in our basement. These guys came in and removed the mold and gave us a great system that will keep our basement dry and mold free! The team was very nice and respectful of our home. Would recommend them to anyone having mold issues!
