DPD Review

Really the last! I'm really nicely loaded right now. I reordered the delivery from last Saturday to today Monday because someone is definitely at home today. My husband waited until I got home and only then drove off. Just said, unfortunately nobody was there yet. By chance I look in my email inbox and read that the shipment was successfully delivered to me ??? Go down to the front door and there is a slip of paper stuck to it, the driver has left the package (light, but quite large) at the nearest branch. A bottomless cheek and unfortunately not the first time! It's just bad that this company apparently doesn't learn anything from criticism and you probably miss that so much and absolutely don't care.

Parcel dropped somewhere in the neighborhood. ZIP 71065 Untraceable! Neighborhood has no idea. We are at home 24 hours a day due to care. Very miserable service and delivery.

DPD just doesn't get it anymore, I have had a parking permit for years, now I'm running after my parcel, because it's a Packstation, it can't be delivered again. I waited extra, but no, the parcel carrier was probably in such a hurry to get home. Too bad at DPD service is now very small !!!!

DPD is very unreliable. On Monday I received the information that the shipment would arrive in 1-2 working days with the option to change the desired delivery day.
So the delivery day was pushed back to Thursday because that day was more convenient for us. The confirmation came immediately, but the delivery vehicle was in the delivery center all Thursday (according to GPS) and the delivery only took place on Friday morning, at a time when we could not be at home. Neighbors kindly accepted the package.
Unreliable shipping service provider!

Absolutely cheeky to throw an approx. 23 kg package over the garden gate. It is logical that the content has burst, considering the weight. And is not the first time.

Impossible. Parcels are simply repeatedly handed over to strangers in the wrong village and marked as delivered. Are you crazy?

Worst service ever ... 2 weeks to deliver the package, but never delivered every day.

The DPD delivery announced in advance was handed over on time, reliably and in a friendly manner. My experience with DPD so far has been very good. Thanks for that.

Delivery a disaster. Ring the bell, put the package in front of the front door and before I was at the door, about 50 seconds, I only saw the taillights of the vehicle and the package at my feet. DHL is much better.

Whatever I order, it's a game of chance! The campsite where I have my primary residence has a place plan and should be familiar to the drivers unless they change constantly. Despite my location number, no effort is made to find my house. It usually takes weeks for some messenger to get it right, or it goes back to the sender. The attached photos document the storage location "on the doorstep", freely accessible for everyone and not in agreement with the site management. Nevertheless, the driver simply left it there without informing me! In addition, one of the packages was very damaged.

For me, DPD is a disaster. I'm constantly experiencing unmotivated drivers who don't speak a word of German and I'm always annoyed.

Very punctual, friendly and the safety distance due to Corona was kept.

If delivery personnel do not know the difference between a garden gate and a front door, I can only advise against getting something sent with DPD ... so always check delivery options. This has happened to me for the fourth time this year. Even in the rain, a package was parked at the gate for everyone to see, without thinking about whether everything was OK.

Received a package for a long time today, which was probably due to the fact that it was plants, otherwise it is simply brought to the parcel shop, even though you are sitting and waiting at home.

Deliveries by dpd are always a special experience. Today a package was placed on the second step of the outside staircase. The doorbell did not ring. The delivery person was probably not interested in the fact that I specified a storage location. Another time the delivery person simply threw the package in a wide arc on the terrace and left again. I was at home both times and there was no ringing on both occasions. You are used to better things from other delivery services.

The driver was actually very nice. But he had some problems. First of all he has to learn German better so that he doesn't misunderstand one, then he came too early because of that his technique didn't work he apparently had problems reading the house number, if he tried to scan the package it didn't work because he was too early so you had to Wait 5 minutes. He also couldn't reach anyone he could have asked what he could do anyway the whole thing was a bit exhausting which could have been avoided if he had been instructed better. He dropped a package, so only three points, although delivery was on time and fast,
but staff not well trained even if staff was nice.

My package was placed in an anteroom. An absolute cheek. It's just good that a neighbor saw the package, otherwise it would have been gone.

So at the beginning I had my problems with DPD. But I have to say a great price lately with pick-up and very nice service (driver). I will leave Hermes now and switch to DPD.

So if you look in the shipment tracking and the package was handed over to a person even though you weren't there, that's more than questionable. Worst parcel deliverer! Not the first time this problem !!!

Very bad when it comes to delivery .... Third parties can access the parcels ... Because the delivery driver is too comfortable to climb stairs.

Unfortunately only 3 stars, as the driver does not consider it necessary to ring the door !!! For a delivery on Friday, May 15th, 2020, he simply left it at another address. DPD leaves parcels in a public stairwell without giving notice and claims that they have been delivered. Several packages have already been lost. DPD does not react to complaints at all! Disastrous service!

I keep chasing after my parcels at DPD. At one point it says the recipient could not be found. This has already happened 3 times. I can't help it if the deliverers are not trained, which means c / o on an address.
You get a message telling you when it will be delivered, you look out the window, no DPD in sight, suddenly Naxhricht: We did not reach you. It was particularly bad during the lockdown, as I was not allowed to leave the apartment because of a high-risk patient. When I asked for a second delivery by phone (is possible with all other delivery companies), one was unfriendly on the phone. Of course, I didn't have a pick-up slip either, which means another fight when I pick it up.

Today in a rural area, the driver drove to all the neighbors. Since I urgently need my package, I went out into the garden to pick it up. But he drove by quickly and did not see me. Then the message that it is deposited at the storage location. The package wasn't there. Call DPD. Horror! Another unfriendly employee. She says she can only see what I see. Then why should you call. You are quite unfriendly: I sent out a driver survey, you received an email. I said that I needed the package urgently and when I could expect a response. It takes 48 hours.

I can only recommend everyone to avoid DPD.

Parcel was supposedly delivered, was at home all day and waited - no parcel arrived.

Although a large poster indicated that the door was closed due to the corona and that we should be contacted (with a phone number) to open the door or to hand over the door, the package was simply returned to the sender. The service hotline was also not helpful. Poverty certificate. I hope Amazon no longer ships with this service provider.

The agreed delivery location is not adhered to and parcels are simply stored unprotected in the garden, although the enclosed property has already been entered and storage would have been possible at least protected from rain. If the unfortunate deliverers don't speak our language, they should at least be able to read and understand their employer's instructions.
A little tip: just pay the staff sensibly, then workers come who meet the requirements. A driving license alone is not enough!

I ordered the package in my name and gave the address of my workplace as the delivery address. Where will it be delivered? At my boss's home address, which differs very clearly by name and location.

I have a parcel box in front of my front door and have written to the deliverer to deliver my parcel in there. But he put it right on my doorstep, I don't think it's okay, poor service, not recommended.

Delivery and advance information were generally good and helpful.
However, if I specify "put in the trailer in the carport" as the storage location, then I wanted to avoid a package for 700, -, 2h standing in the middle of the carport and being seen by everyone from the street and being easily taken away.
So if the deliverers will be able to read and implement what has been read in the future,

Package is simply parked in another street with a similar street name! And with a value of goods of over 700 EUR!

You give a parking ok, and yet, for the second time, the package is simply parked in the entrance area of an apartment building, to which every house occupant has access. How nice that I have such honest roommates. Why do you give a parking ok if this is ignored ??? However, I have a lot of pity for the drivers of DPD, they get little wages, are under enormous time pressure, and since such a job no German likes to do, you shouldn't be blamed for the fact that they speak little or no German. I also always try to avoid DPD, just like Hermes, but when you place an order, you are often only surprised afterwards with which service provider the goods are shipped with.

The deliverer was very punctual and very polite and courteous. I'm super happy with the service considering that people have to work in such circumstances.

Nice parcel tracking features in the app and I have had only positive experience so far with DPD. Recommended!

It's great to know that our neighbors have the same last name lately. I was at home, but nobody rang the doorbell. Then I get an email that I accepted the said package a few minutes ago. Please tell your employees that they should ring the right recipient so that you don't have to run forever to get your own package. Really sad

Our parcels are constantly being handed over to our neighbors and vice versa, even though someone is at home to accept the parcels !! EXTREMELY NERVY !!! It can't be that difficult to ring the doorbell for the right surname and drop it off there!

I was informed 5 times of a delivery date, on which I was always at home. The package was not delivered. On the 6th day it was handed over to the neighbor. The content, a hat, was no longer in its original packaging, but "repackaged" in the DPD center, which means that it was crumpled into a packaging that was much too small. As a result, the brim is now completely bent.

An email in the early morning announced the delivery in a one-hour window 12:15 - 13:15. The online tracking was then moved several times. Ultimately, the delivery took place at 15:15. If you offer a service, it should work. Otherwise you shouldn't do it, it doesn't look professional.

First the package should be on July 13th. be delivered. At 10:30 a.m. the tracking showed that the recipient could not be determined at 11:51 (?!), Although the address was also correct.

It was not given in the parcel shop either, although the supplier received the information from dpd in this way.
In their sense tracking stood:
July 13 Successfully delivered.
THEN: 07/17 In delivery.

Aha ... on July 20th I was finally able to pick it up in the parcel shop. Miracles still happen ..

The package was simply placed in the public hallway.
Apparently the parcel carrier had no ambitions to take the elevator to the second floor and to hand in the parcel properly. Instead, a friendly fellow man did it for him.
I then no longer need a DPD for this. I would rather look for another service provider who works more reliably.
Of course, I will pass this information on to our sales department, who may not necessarily send their packages with DPD.
This occurrence can be observed quite often in our house, where parcels are simply placed in the hallway and then you can find the log on the floor outside the door.

DPD is Germany's worst parcel service! Avoid them at any cost and do not purchase from sellers that ship their items with them!

They've managed to loose 2 out of 2 packages over the past 4 weeks. They show as delivered to my name(even though I wasn't at home during the supposed delivery time) but are nowhere to be found. DPD does nothing to compensate and does not respond to my letters. I will now file charges against them.

My package from July 3rd, 2020 did NOT arrive despite the delivery confirmation by email. I've been home all day!
By sending a test package to myself, I was able to find out the following:



Today I was just able to intercept the messenger and confront him. He would have been instructed to do this sloppy delivery! What a cheek. Anyone could steal these packages on the doorstep.
When I asked where the recipient's signature on the DPD receipt comes from, the messenger told me that he would sign it himself. ? Are you crazy??? This is forging a signature and is punishable by law.

Our signature was apparently forged because we received the message that H.G. B .... has received the package. When putting it down, cardboard paint was still applied to the house wall that was repainted 8 weeks ago.
Complaint Call was not possible because DPD can only be reached by phone with waiting times longer than 15 minutes. I no longer use DPD voluntarily.
