Not bad hut construction noise woke me up so early in the morning.
Location was great, lots of restaurants and stores within walking distance. Staff were very friendly and room was great.
Clean and spacious rooms for a tech conference. However, we did have technical difficulties throughout the various presentations. Food was great as well. Hotel layout itself was somewhat confusing. Overall, it was a pretty average experience.
Classy location right in the center. Nice and clean rooms. Gym. Pool. Friendly staff.
Very nice hotel in a great location with underground parking within the building. Elevators bring you up to the lobby where the check in is conviently located. The wait to check is was long and they appeared to be short staffed but an apology was given at the counter which I found to be sufficient for the wait. Upon receiving the key we were handed a freshly baked cookie which was amazing. Nothing like a hot chocolate chip to say thank welcome. The only negatives I had was with the towels in the room. They appeared to have a stain on them from who knows what and I didn t bother getting a new one but I m sure if I asked they would have brought up some fresh clean ones no problem. The bathroom however was very neat and clean. The room in general was great lots of space and clean. The pillows could be abit more firm/ fluffy but that s just my personal preference and the bed is decent comfortability.
Beautiful lobby. Clean rooms and nice meeting rooms too
Good hotel, not great. Room did not look like what was advertised, but still clean and comfortable.
Decent stay for a night or two. Friendly associates.
great hotel. Room 2315 is an average room size for a downtown hotel. Well appointed and ac ran very cold. flat screen 40+ inch tv mounted to the wall. Location is right next to city hall and mass transit is very available with 5 to 10 minutes of walking. The pool is nice, but small. Parking Garage is underground and claustophobic with only 10-15 cars per level and very tight turns, ceiling height is only 6 ft so be aware taller people and cars. Parking is cost of course as it is for all downtomb hotels.
Clean, modernized room. Friendly staff who helped with my special request to scan and email documents. Breakfast is overpriced but otherwise good hotel experience in convenient location to downtown.
Nice corner suite with a comfortable bed, kitchen. Wonderful, helpful staff. Great location. Walked to Nathan Phillips Square, Kensington Market and more
Excellent hotel. Good breakfast. Very helpful staff. Couldn't have asked for more
Reasonable price for its outstanding location and services. High-quality Hilton standard and a lot of room options. Their "Huanying" (aka in Chinese) service is great for Chinese visitors.
Parking system ruins the entire Doubletree experience. Not only do they only have one elevator because one is broken, but you have to take a pass back down to your car. The one elevator working is actually broken as well and literally keeps stopping on every floor. It's even crazier that you spend $35/nt on parking for this type of experience. Thanks for the warm cookie, by the time I get to my room to eat it, it's not warm anymore.
Very clean (best housekeeping I've had in n a while) and the staff was very friendly and helpful. Also, its location is very central to most everything.
Easy check in and check out. No issues. Front desk was helpful and friendly. Convenient downtown location, lots of food places to choose from and close to Eaton centre and Queen street.
The duty manager wasn't professional enough also Raj in the restaurant when I was in the breakfast time was not clear at all in the instructions also was bit not friendly I believe they should find someone else to handle it.
Very disappointing to sit at the bar eating a meal watching hordes of fruit flies behind the bar. If a public area is kept this clean it makes me wonder about the back of the house.
Location is near tons of restaurants/cafe and shopping. Not much of views because of buildings around hotel. Room and hotel is clean. Staff service is exceptional! Will stay here again.
It was a great event and a great experience overall.
Hotel is nice enough on the surface. Had a lot of issues with staff and facilities. Multiple floors were closed to work on plumbing I assume and our plumbing in rooms was messed up. Pool closed and front desk somewhat hostile.
we rented this Hotel for client that was in town and we also rented a Boardroom for a few days. we had to cancel one of the days for the boardroom because we did a visit onsite and they said it had to be 30 days notice for full refund. Since we rented the boardroom 5 day prior to the stay we thought this was a pretty strict and not flexible policy especially that we have 10 people staying at the hotel and still needed the boardroom 3 out of the 4 days we originally booked for. Other than this incident Hotel amenities are ok for a double tree. But onsite staff is not very helpful and almost rude.
Free cookies!! Great room, so large and comfortable. I've stayed here a few times on my trips over to Toronto from England. Never had a bad stay. Great location too
Great rate.. you get delicious cookie s at check-in...rooms are always clean with all the amenities..bar is a great launching pad and the breakfast buffet.....yummy
Great location, right beside the City Hall and Nathan Philips Square. Parking is horrible. I parked under the Nathan Phillips Square. Service in general are good.
Location is great, very close to everything. Hotel is clean. Front desk employees have very poor hospitality, are not very attentive to their guest. They do not look happy to be there at all.
Pleasant stay, friendly and welcoming staff. Large, comfortable and clean rooms. Strategic location, practically city center, adjacent to the city hall.
Very nice hotel. This review is part of a Google Opinions Reward survey.
Attended a professional event in the room on the lower level. The room is fine, but there are no washrooms on this level, inconvenient for an event with over one hundred people.
clean room, too long of a wait at the check in though it wasn't busy...
I loved it for its excellent location, its modern decoration, its comfortable and clean rooms and a friendly and attentive staff. The only thing that does not "block" in this box is the dirty and narrow parking lot. It is close to mostly Asian restaurants, in a fairly busy mall and with very good and renowned stores.
Lobby and Gym/Pool review only.
My kids take swim lessons here and have been visiting weekly for a while now.
Lobby is always staffed and clean.
The Gym, Pool and Change rooms all offer fresh towles, clean bright spaces and bottled water.
The mens change rooms are very clean, have towels, hair dryer, perosnal size body wash, shampoo and conditoner.to use in the provided shower stalls. The dry sauna is a nice bonus too.
The POOL, lots of chair and lounge seating, side tables, warm clean water. Small to medium size pool. Only natural.light provided by a few skylights.
The GYM has mainly cardio workout equipment consisting of bikes, treadmills and ellipticals. Bottled water, towels and change rooms also used for pool which the gym looks out to and mall weight resistance area.
Hotel is very nice and has some nice views if your a hilton hhonors member they give you a room on the higher floor the reception was very nice especially melissa she was awesome gave us a nice surprise in our room for our anniversary chocolate covered strawberries and a fruit bowl the staff really go above and beyond and housekeepi ng was very good and waited till you left the room and asked if you wanted our room cleaned the reception staff also recommeneded some good food places for us overall i am satisfied and i would go back again
Lovely hotel near everything, parking is expensive ($35 per day) but pretty standard probably for the area.
Rooms appear to have been renovated since my last stay. Even better now. Better breakfast than the hilton toronto downtown. Also the in room dining menu has been revised and has some good options. Will definitely continue to stay here whenever in town for work.
Comfortable, clean, friendly staff. One could not ask for more
Great location. The staff provide first rate service.
Comfortable amenities in a continent location. Very close to Yonge and Dundas Square and lots of options for food and drink. Staff were kind and informative.
Fairly convenient location, clean rooms, good staff. King sized bedroom is good and has enough basic amenities.
The hotel was nice though rooms were small. Breakfast buffet not worth it however. Better off going outside of the hotel for breakfast
Great location. Room was very nice and clean. Couldn't of asked for better.
Excellent hotel and pleasant atmosphere, very cozy.
Outstanding staff. Every single member of the staff we met was pleasant and helpful. They all seemed to genuinely care about their guests which is a rarity in Toronto. The TV was large and high def. Wifi was free ????? Also a rarity in Toronto. IT was a 10 - 15 walk to anywhere we wanted to go and a short cab ride from Billy Bishop. We will stay here every time we go to Toronto from now on. Excellent Hotel.
Great prices, extremely friendly staff. The only thing that I didn't like was how worn everything looks. The drawers and tables in our room looked like it had been there for 20 years with all the scrapes and missing finish on every corner. The bed was really comfy though and the air conditioning was great. The tv was also broken in our room but since we were only staying one night we didn't bother trying to get another room.
Hotel is fine, but reservation & billing service by telephone is terrible. When I checked out, front desk told me zero balance owing, but a day later I found they debited my credit card over $400. Really difficult to contact their front desk; their phone system transfers you to a general call centre. After repeated attempts, when I finally got through to the hotel front desk, they said I had to email their accounting department next week, because their accounting section closed on the weekend. Avoid this hassle: stay somewhere else.
Expensive and doesn't include breakfast...irritating
Room was very comfortable and security was good while there was a lot of festivals in the city this weekend.
Great spot to stay downtown in Toronto! Staff was excellent and went above and beyond to ensure my family, including a toddler and baby, had a heart stay. Would be nice if there was a hot tub but we enjoyed the pool!
A bit dated. Good location. Walking distance to restaurant and shops
Good location, not hard to find and plenty of parking in and around the hotel (managed by different parties). Service staff and concierge are super friendly.
Clean, comfortable, convenient location and great customer service
Just dropped by the hotel to buy something from someone...
Attended for a work conference. Nice venue, helpful staff, overall a great day!
The hotel is very nice... the location is good and the service and people veey friendly
Just needed a quick spot to crash for the night. Staff was helpful and nice the underground parking is a little tight so if you are parking a very large SUV it could be a little difficult. All and all a good experience
A diamond in the rough. I coordinated a full-day conference at the DoubleTree (Dundas/Bay) and the entire experience was flawless. The ballroom (located in the basement) was a delightful surprise. Very elegant lighting and timeless wood panels on the walls. The buffet served immediately outside the ballroom allowed for attendees to stretch their legs and a opportunity to network. The food was amazing - no need to order extra, portions are generous. Staff were top notch! I'd definitely host an event here again.
We had a great Canada Day stay. The fellow that checked us in was so nice and welcoming. The suite was great. Beautiful view of Nathan Phillips square.
