Tried to get service on pool and part. Price changed every time I called. Part keeps going up. I told them someone quoted me a different price. I have been a customer for 10 years. Spend thousands over the years on chemicals and supplies. Very disappointed! Found part online for original price they gave me before they started to raise the price. Thanks But NoThanks! Will take my money somewhere else.

Purchase an inground pool from them try to get service again talk to a girl named Lucy she was a manager was very rude and did not want to take care of us head of attitude problem I'll never use them again and my pool has a lot of lot of problems
Absolutely terrible service. I have called for 2 months trying to get them to come out and look at cracks that have formed in my pool. They have never returned my call and have lied numerous times saying they will call me back or get someone out there to see it. I think cracks are pretty significant but they obviously don't. If I don't hear from them this week I will be contacting the BBB and possibly an attorney to go after them. Don't be fooled by their sales pitch. Do your homework
Our Beauty Pool just got finished and I cannot say enough positive about the entire process of our pool being installed. The whole process was made very easy due to the great communication from all parts of the company. From Bob in Sales, Matt on the Site, Jay in service and Pat in the office, they were all a pleasure to work with. Highly recommended
Beauty Pools installed our pool in the summer of 2017. A rainy summer slowed the process which was no fault of BP. All phases of work on the pool from planning and excavation to plastering was done efficiently and professionally. Our pool includes a sun shelf, a seat, swim-out and umbrella stands. (A future water feature will be installed by us.) Pool also has cleaning sprinklers, a swim deck and LED lighting in various colors. These features are outstanding when days are spent by the pool with our grandchildren. From start to finish, this company was very responsive to our needs and concerns. We couldn't be happier!!!!!
I have been working with Beauty Pools since 1966 and have found them to be very reliable and attentive to customer needs. When we moved in 1976, we found a home with a pool and we would only purchase the home if the pool was a Beauty Pool! That's what we thought of them then. Even though our pool is an older one now, Beauty Pools has been able to keep it looking like new and in perfect working order, helping us update as time and need required. I have found their service department very responsive and the quality of their work absolutely first class. They converted my pool for use with a salt chlorine generator to give me ease of maintenance and worked with me until they had it perfectly adjusted. They are fair, pleasant to work with, and very honest. I would only build a Beauty Pool in the future if the need ever arose. That's what I think of them now, all these years later!
These guys really stand behind their product and service, they built me a new pool and it turned out awesome. Bob was amazing and is a true gentleman in every sense of the word, very happy with the final product.
Has anyone else had trouble reaching their sales rep? I've called and emailed several times over the past 3+ months with no luck. There's an individual answering calls who is pleasant, but she's unfortunately not the person who is able to answer my installation questions or schedule a consultation. I've been told it takes about 2 weeks for their salesperson to return calls, but again I've followed up multiple times and keep getting the same response ("I'll let him know you called again and hopefully he gets back to you!"). Considering there are limited gunite pool contractors in the area, I unfortunately have no choice but to continue trying to get in contact with someone at Beauty Pools so we can get things going. Not the best first impression and hopefully isn't a reflection of their process as whole... IF I do get in touch with someone, I really hope they address this....
I have had my Beauty Pool for 21 years. All the service has been done by Beauty Pools including regular maintenance throughout the season. The pool looks brand new. Any issues are taken care of promptly and professionally. Because of their good service, we are able to enjoy our pool and not worry about it. Beauty Pools builds positive relationships with its customers.
I would give zero stars if i could. We have been using this company to open/close our pool for 10+ years. Unfortunately this year the technicians they sent did not do their jobs. Paid over $400 to have our pool opened, they left a mess on our pool deck, did not check to see that everything was working like their supposed to otherwise they would've notified us that our heater isn't working. Have been waiting well over a week for you to come fix the probelm. Have called multiple times with no call back. Absolutely terrible customer service. We will absolutely be switching to another company for the fall.
They told me it was $360 to open my pool. I just got a bill with a $360 pool opening charge +$64 travel charge.
Also, they cleaned my pool this week and it's still dirty. They told me they can come revac but aren't sure when they will be able to. Really? You give poor service. I send pics showing the poor service and you don't know when you can make it, right?
Don't use this service unless you want poor quality work at high prices with hidden fees.
Jay the service mgr has gone ahead and ensured my frustration was taken into consideration and wants to do right. He is the saving grace of Beauty Pools in my opinion. No communication makes for a very unhappy customer. Thank you Jay for providing the communication that is needed and for understanding the situation.
Beauty built my pool 7 years ago. From day one it was never constructed right. Piping that goes to my pumps and heater was put in crooked. I was supposed to get a black bottom pool. It was never totally black and year after year it faded. From day one the tiles fell off the pool. The last three years plaster has been chipping away. I already need a new heater and booster pump for the vanishing edge. Over the years they have promised to fix all of these problems. They came once to replace some tile and put in the wrong tile. That tile also is breaking away from the pool. Great sales pitch. After that the whole experience goes downhill. After they get your money they could care less about you!
This is my family's 3rd Beauty Pool in two generations! We came up with a design and Bob & Beauty Pools brought it to life far exceeding our expectations. We also had a very tight timetable due to a vacation. And they got it done ON TIME! And even watched over it while we were on vacation. Every single crew that worked on our pool were courteous, respectful and extremely friendly & helpful anytime I had a question. Could not be happier!! Would never use anyone else!! George Ziemer, Jr.
Terrible at keeping their appointments - I had scheduled a clean up on a Tuesday and they never showed up..when I called they said they have me booked on Friday and not Tuesday - I had made the appointment for Tuesday and written it down on my calendar right away so I know I didn't get the date wrong.
Friday came along and they didn't show up again!.....When I called them, they said they will call me back and let me know what time they were coming. No one called back. So I called AGAIN.... then they said they have us down for service but had us down for the wrong TYPE of service and may not be able to come!
Mr Newman: I have given my business to another pool service that I found in the yellow pages..they're excellent and I will not be coming back to "Beauty Pools" I had taken 2 days off of work and sat around at home waiting for them for nothing!!
I hope their customer service improves or else I shall have to take my business else where! Very poor customer service!
Fantastic service department, with prompt response and friendly staff. We used Beauty Pools for a pool survey before closing on a new house and they were honest and trustworthy about what concerns we needed to take into consideration. We also hired them to close the pool, which they showed up on time, were friendly and fast workers. We're looking forward to having them open our pool in the spring & service throughout the season. If you're looking for a reliable, innovative and customer-focused pool company, look no further.
Construction took several weeks longer than promised mostly because they would work for a day or 2, then leave and come back in a week or 2, repeat until finished. Operated the pool for 5 years and have already had to replace both underwater lights ($300), the pump/motor assembly ($1000), and the salt generator control panel ($800). Also told we were getting a solar cover and even after calling back multiple times never got one. Great to work with right up until you sign the contract.
We needed a re-tile job on our concrete pool. Beauty pools did it in the past and we were very happy with them and therefore called them again. We were not disappointed. The new tile looks great ,and they even titled the wall around the skimmer. Jim and James were both very professional and did great work. Beauty Pools even were able to fit us in earlier due to a cancellation.
There service department has become the worst,we put in our pool in2002 and the service department has gotten worse to the point we will not use them anymore. We actually went to a local pool store and there service department gave us more information on a problem in one phone call then there service department has done in 15 years. Reevaluate getting a pool from them it's a money pit and there service on top of that makes what should be a pleasure,a nightmare.
Problems opening pool were many. First appointment, workers didn't finish job and broke a part. Promised to return to fix it but not till a week later. Pool couldn't be used. One week later, workers came - didn't bring part, didn't open pool. Promised to come following week. Waited all day - a Saturday. No call; no show. Sent letters, called, emailed - no response for 48 hours. Finally showed up and opened pool two ND s half weeks after original appointment.
We've used beauty pools for 3 years. Consistently, their customer service has been mediocre at best, provided you can get through their phone system to speak someone in the service department. On more than one occasion they've charged our credit card without authorization... Yes they kept our card number on file after we've asked twice to kindly remove it.
We requested a specific service in the fall during our pool closing. When I asked the technicians who performed the closing services if they'd done what we asked, they told me "yes" despite the work not being done at all. Now, our pool cover is caving in... In the middle of winter... And as is true to our pervious experience, we can't get through to anyone in the service department and after leaving two messages, no one has returned our calls.
*update* - while the service rep who returned our call was kind, the company still has some customer service policies that are really terrible. Be prepared... When you call for service and they tell you they'll be there as soon as possible, that could mean it'll be a few days. And there's no call/text/email to tell you what day or time they'll show up. For us, service was finally provided 3 days after the service ticket was entered. And 2 days after that, my husband fixed it himself because the work was done poorly. They never left a tag on the door saying they'd even been to our house. But they did charge our card AGAIN without ever sending us a bill.
Billing practices are questionable. The pool opening package price did not include the chemicals which cost additional $93. The opening crew did not tell me what chemicals they had added and why (except for liquid chlorine which they told me only when I asked about chlorine). I requested quote before replacing heater's top module but they just replaced the module without giving me a quote. It came up to be $243 with *FREE* labor whereas it is available online for $115. So the price was jacked up and I was told labor is free. When I call to complain about excessive billing, the billing lady says she does not generate the bills.
Absolutely the worst customer service I have ever experienced. Unless you like to be screamed at by the manager and take all of the blame for their mistake, I would take my business elsewhere.
Terrible company to work with!! Horrible customer service!! The owner is NOT nice!! He doesn't take pride in his company at all. I was never given all of my options with designing the pool. They scheduled to plaster the pool on a day that was calling for a storm. Unfortunately before they were done plastering the storm came through and pool needed to be replastered!! The coloring of the plaster looks awful!! It isn't the color I was told it would be. It's very streaky. You can see marks in the pool where they walked on it. I was told that the spa would be completely tiled and after coming out to TRY to tile the spa 3 TIMES half of it had to be taken out and left untiled due to the fact that the guys couldn't get it to look right. Very disappointing. Also, while the pool was being acid washed, before water even went in it, their guy spilled acid on the concrete around the pool and it left black marks that the owner refused to fix!! He told me it didint look that bad. It looked awful so we paid to have it replaced with another company. Not only did the concrete around pool look awful because of the black acid stains, the color of the concrete was not "tan" like I had picked. It was a salmon color which looked awful!! Salmon colored, blotchy and huge crack in it the first year!! They were not willing to do anything for me with any of this. I would NOT recommend Beauty Pools!!
My pool pump was not working I called beauty pools service department and they came to my house that same day. The techs were very helpful and friendly. After my pump was fixed they took the time to show me what the issues were.
Unprofessional customer service, shoddy workmanship/craftsmanship, and poor service maintenance/repairs. Beauty Pools was initially recommended to us by a building contractor in 2008 when we were building our home. While the pool appeared to be in good working order during its first season of use, things couldn't have been further from the truth as it's been nothing but downhill since. The masonry and construction people at Beauty Pools did a really subpar job installing our pool, especially affixing the decorative tiles along the "wall" of our pool and the paver "collar" around the perimeter of our pool. We've lost countless decorative tiles, which we find in the bottom of our pool each and every season. The thing is, its near impossible getting Beauty Pools to address and correct these issues or fix anything in a timely, workmanlike manner - on multiple occasions we've waited until the following pool season to get them to re-affix tiles, only for them to fall off again the next season. What's worse is that we have a number of pavers along the "collar"/perimeter of our pool that are dangerously loose and represent a hazard to family and friends, which have still not been properly addressed or fixed by Beauty Pools. Not to mention the fact that every season we find more and more pieces of concrete in our pool and built-in hot tub as the integrity of the masonry joints continues to fail at an alarming rate. I know our pool is now almost 8 years old, but the integrity of the masonry and concrete began failing the first season after installation, which is definitely unacceptable and certainly not customary. Aside from the failing structural and aesthetic integrity of our pool, the maintenance personnel and back office service department are atrocious, which I attribute to the high level of personnel turnover. Service calls, requests and in-person conversations regularly go unanswered and unreported, and I find myself having to do the very jobs of the people who I am paying to maintain my pool. In my opinion, the level of ineptitude displayed by the service department at Beauty Pools borders on the imbecilic. I wish I was privy to the online reviews for Beauty Pools when we were looking to build our pool years back - I certainly would've gone elsewhere with my business as they have consistently failed to meet expectations. Caveat emptor - BUYER BEWARE!
P.S. Is it a coincidence that the only 2 positive reviews for this company were written within 3 weeks of each other last Fall? Something seems amiss...
Update to below review: Beauty Pools continues to take very good care of us. Everyone from Bob to Jay to Pat to Randy answers our (many) questions quickly and they have gone above and beyond to take care of any concerns. We've been really pleased over the 2+ years we've been working with them.
We worked with Beauty Pools on an extensive pool rehab and were very pleased with the work and the crews. Bob was responsive, knowledgeable, and very pleasant to work with. They are professionals and know what they are doing. I must also say that Randy, their expert on mechanics, has been amazingly helpful and responsive...he gave us his cell number and texts responses to questions any time. Really over the top great service. Thank you to all of them.
The Ransom Oaks Community located in East Amherst hired Beauty Pools to convert 6 pools from bromine to salt. Jay from Service did an amazing job of coordinating this project to make sure each system was installed on time. Jay is very knowledgeable and is committed to establishing and maintaining a great working relationship. When it came to installing each salt water system, Tony from Service took the time to plan out where all of the new equipment would go and reconfigured the existing equipment where needed to make each system look great and operate at peak performance. His workmanship is second to none. Jay explained how the system works and most important, he made himself available to answer our questions as we opened each pool. That kind of service is priceless when dealing with this kind of equipment. We were also impressed with how Jay and Tony worked with us on additional repairs and maintenance that we needed to get done in a short timeframe. They took the time educate us so we could make the right decision. We have made Beauty Pools our only pool company for all of our pool needs. An added bonus, their pricing is very competitive to other pool companies but with the benefit of great customer service and workmanship! Thank you Jay and Tony!
Beauty Pools performed a major renovation to my 35 year old gunite pool; replacing the plaster, tile, plumbing and installing a heater with a salt generator. It was huge effort and John along with his team did a great job. My family is extremely happy with the results and we'll definitely continue to use them for all of our pool needs.
Horrid customer service. We understand you are busy at this time Beauty Pools, but at least take time and acknowledge your customers phone calls and questions. Our business will find information and supplies somewhere else.
Beauty pools is a great company if you're looking to get you're first pool. They made the whole experience from start to finish wonderful. My kids love there new swimming pool. I highly recommended this company for anybody who's looking to invest in a pool
The only good thing I have to say about this company is that they eventually resolved our problem. They charged us $700 for an opening and closing package, which as new pool owners we didn't realize was incredibly high. They came and opened our pool and it was incredibly dirty, with a ton of leaves on and debris left in it. Their vacuuming job was basically non-existent. When I called and said the pool still looked incredibly dirty and like it hadn't been vacuumed, I got a lot of attitude before they sent someone back out to re-clean. Then they charged the credit card they had on file to come back out.
We called over the summer because the pool filter wasn't working properly. They came out and did service calls on three different occasions, and each time ensured us the problem was fixed even though the water level in our pool kept dropping and the filter didn't seem to be able to clear the pool. Eventually, three service calls later, all of which we were charged for, they discovered a blockage in one of the lines. I was quoted a repair price of "about $600" - the total charge was over $1200 just for one day, and this was after incurring additional charges for the previous visits where, despite saying so, they really didn't fix anything.
We'd asked them to go over our pool equipment and maintenance with us because we were new pool owners, which by phone they agreed to; instead, we just felt like they were consistently taking advantage of our ignorance, and ignored every request to explain things, fix things, or otherwise accommodate us.
My family has a Beauty Pool for several years. Any problems, minor or major the service department handle them promptly and efficiently. The staff there has always been friendly and more than helpful.
I understand that pool company s are very busy during the season , but when you call here you get the feeling you are putting them out . It is basically - oh well, too bad for you.
This company opened the neighbor's pool yesterday and left lots of debris and junk in the street in front of our home and another in the process. I called Beauty Pools this morning and was transferred to "Lucy" who curtly told me "not our job". They are not responsible for the debris they put in the street through the hose they put in the street to drain the pool? Apparently not. So Beauty Pools bagged up some of the waste from my neighbor's pool and left it neatly in his driveway...the rest of the runoff is sitting and rotting in the street in front of neighbor's houses and down the sewer. We don't appreciate that we have to clean the street tonight because Beauty Pools is not taking responsibility for this mess.
Beauty Pools continues to do an outstanding job on servicing our pool. Their people are extremely helpful, responsive and friendly. Top notch professionals in every way.
Showed up as scheduled but I had to wait a month for an appointment to open pool even though I'm a regular customer. Failed to open drain value for filter even though office person told me in a snotty fashion "it must have been working when they left." A neighbor that weekend pointed out the closed value. Then I discovered a broken cap discarded in my yard. Not quality work but their price is for quality work,
Worst service company I have ever had to deal with (for any work). They have blown off/lost my service calls numerous times and I have literally wasted close to a thousand dollars for a pool inspection prior to buying a home that was half asked and missed many problems. Avoid them at all costs. Others warned me, I should have listened to them.
Worst customer service ever!! They never returned any of my phone calls regarding service to my hot tub! We told them months in advance what part we needed but they never ordered it. When it was time for service, they canceled because they didn't have the part. Don't waste your time! You'll be disappointed and frustrated!
