This place is a JOKE. When I checked out, they charged me $8.66 for local calls, even though I never TOUCHED the phones in that room. The manager refused to remove the charge, even though I explained to him the situation. He'd much rather sacrifice my future business for $8.66? That guy should be fired. HORRIBLE service. Stay away.

Wonderful little boutique hotel right in the very center of the city. Very walkable distance to everything including transportation. Did not need to rent a car or even take a taxi the entire time because it was so close to Toronto's main transit lines, including trains to the airport.
The hotel staff were so fun and pleasant and the room was very clean and comfortable. They provide guests with warm cookies upon arrival, or anytime really lol. I would definitely recommend.
Experience at this hotel was very nice. The hotel staff was very kind and helpful. They offered a ton of info and downtown Toronto and day trips. Only issue I have is with the bathroom. There was no tub or curb and the shower floor and bathroom floor was roughly at the same height. This made it uncomfortable getting out of the shower as the whole floor was wet.
Stayed overnight recently with wife and three kids. The hotel is located right downtown and within walking distance of many major tourist attractions. If walking isn't your thing there are lots of options for public transit close by, including the subway. Hotel was clean and the staff was excellent, including the free cookies at check in. Room was tight for a family of five but there is lots of storage available. The heated pool was awesome, great size and different depth levels. Never had a chance to use the weight room or the sauna but they had a multitude of weights and cardio equipment. Hotel has underground parking which was really convenient. Tons of dining options within the area or you can stay and eat at the restaurant in the lobby. Overall it was a great stay and would definitely stay here again.
My stay at the double tree hilton was very good. House keeping was polite and so was all the other staff. The cookie i recieved at check in was the best cookie i have ever had. One of my only problems with it is that there wasnt any continental breakfast. And also that there was no hot tub. Also the internet is a little slower than i would have liked. All in all i would stay here again. Mostly for the cookie and the location.
The staff was very friendly and welcoming. Any questions that I had as a visitor from the US, they answered. The tech support was even happy to help in replacing my remote. The housekeeping staff were nice and entertained my request for additional coffee cups, sugar and cream. The location is amazing and puts you in walking distance to most restaurants, museums, bars, etc.
I had just popped in to check it out as a future fun overnight place to stay with my teenager. I like how clean it looks. And the foyer with all its lights is beautiful.
Clean, friendly service. Housekeeping exceptionally friendly and efficient. Pool, gym and sauna nice. Missed having a fridge in my queen room and space a bit tight. Overall would return.
The Doubletree Hotel is very nice, clean. Rooms are a bit small with not very much stand room. The location is great, very close and convenient to the Eaton centre.
I was there for a conference, so I can't say anything about their room or room service. But the services and catering was very good, as are the amenities. The hotel is also at a very vibrant part of town, right next to City Hall and steps away from Yonge and Dundas Square.
Hotel is the perfect location to explore Toronto. Our room was very nice and above all very clean. Price is upscale but unfortunately standard in downtown.
WORST EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE !!! WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! Me and my husband wanted to get a room near Toronto Pearson airport before he went to Europe the next day. It was a good idea to skip traffic and have some time together bc he was going to be away for awhile. We both work full time and needed this time together. I found this hotel online and it looked beautiful and was super close to the airport. I booked over the phone and gave the lady I spoke with all my information and she clearly stated they take debit visa and I got a confirmation number and after calling back because she missspelled my name I finally got an email stating my reservation. We drove far to get to the hotel and arrived at 2am on Easter Sunday due to last minute preperations and it being a holiday and stores closed. I checked in and there was 2 male clerks both were indian/Pakistani I didn't get there names. The first clerk I spoke with who was checking me in refused to take my debit visa card even after explaining my situation and that it was the company he worked for who made this error but he continued to refuse. As I was speaking with him the other one kept walking by and interrupting my conversation saying no we cant ,no we don't accept, being super rude and annoying. I offered cash deposit of any amount even put a hold on my visa debit but he kept refusing. Working in customer service and having family that has worked in hospitality there is always a way to help the customer especially if your company made this error . I felt like I was begging him and he had this smirk on his face like too bad good bye your loss. I left feeling helpless and told my husband who was unloading our bags. He was just as upset as me so we decided to call the number who took our reservation and after telling her our situation she said she'll put us through to someone who can help and guess who that was! The front desk clerk at the hotel!!!!!after telling her they were super rude and not understanding . After being put thru to the clerk he finds out who I was and hangs up on me !! My husband was furious the poor treatment and went inside the hotel to see what was the problem and why they refused to help us given our situation but they were smirky with him and even giggling saying have a good night like too bad for you so he told them off which he should of. I'm disgusted and shocked . Thoes two guys may have some little power to refuse ppl behind that small desk but soon as there shift is over they can go to there pathetic miserable lives . Anyways we found a hotel and people who went above and beyond to help us. In my life if i meet ppl especially in my job who need my help or have concerns i do the best i can to help them or i couldnt finish my work shift. Even though we had little time to sleep we made the best of it and will remember this and will spread to all our family and friends about this awful hotel people.
well situated in the heart of downton however i foubd the room to be very small amd there was no micro wave in the room. price for parking is too high.
The room and lobby was beautiful, the pool was very nice and its in a very convienient location. Our hair was quite itchy in the morning though, maybe we werent used to the detergent they used, i dont know. Nice place though! Oh parking was insane too, how many levels does that parkimg garage have! I felt like brendan frasier going to the centre of the earth down there...anyways, nice place, a little pricey but its worth it
Food and venue were both good as they were the previous year. In fact, I found the dessert to be less sweet and thus better. Washrooms were clean. Staff members were very helpful and diligent with their service.
It was a very nice hotel and the location was perfect for our 3 day itinerary. We stayed in a junior executive suite on the top floor. The room was quite large. It had great seating and kitchenette areas. The room had obviously been a residential apartment previously. The reason I gave it 3 stars was the poor finishing details from the conversion. The construction look rushed and subpar. It just wasn't done very well. The bathroom was awful. The bathtub was old and beatup and the caulking was poorly done and dirty looking. I didn't want to shower in it much less take a bath. The bathroom should have been fully redone before they opened it up to the public. I have trouble understanding how they approved it for use in the first place. I've never encountered anything like it at any Hilton hotel. I can't understand why they would allow guests to stay in the room as it is, it's certainly not a 4 star accommodation. A premium room like this should look the part. The pillows were nice though.
Guest services were very accommodating and friendly. We needed to extend our stay for one additional night and they were able to keep us in the same room. Centrally located to the hop-on hop-off bus, tons of restaurants and walking distance to many activities in downtown.
We accidentally left an item behind and Shane with security was very helpful in getting it back to us quickly.
The room was clean and comfortable. The bed was awesome. The cookies are always the best The location and parking is extremely convenient. The staff are very accommodating and friendly.
I would give a five . Since I usually had amazing service . Even when my greyhound gets in at 5am they let me check in at 9 .. but this time .. the bad experience will outway the good . I travel to Toronto monthly .. usually stay here .. however .. the weekend of dec 17th .. the greyhound that was suppose to leave got canceled because of the snow storm. It was out of my hands .! The bus was stuck in thunderbay and I had no other way to get to Toronto .. but since I booked a month in advance they refused to give me a refund saying pretty much sucks to be me . And kept my 200$(Not to mention couldn't get a manager to the phone until Wednesday )(called Friday ) .. it wasn't a good enough reason to not be in Toronto .. like that makes any sense .. can't come cuz there's no buses going from my city to Toronto because of the snow storm.... Like I knew there would be a snow storm that would cancel buses.. but that isn't their problem shoulda been there they tell me .? I will never stay here again
Room was dirty, and by room I mean room....nothing but a bed. And. apparently work is normally started at 8am in the halls outside of said room. Im quite sad actually, we really had high hopes for this place but it just didn't happen.
Good luck! I do not have any soundproofing and I do not have soundproofing. I do not have soundproofing. It is a facility to make a fire. When I check in, I give cookies and it is really good! WiFi is good because it's fast
Excellent location. Lots of food choices around! Very close to Toronto bus terminal, Eaton Centre, and Nathan square. We enjoyed our stay in this hotel! Staff was awesome and the complimentary cookies is to die for!
Stayed here one night and had a great stay. The hotel itself was easy to find and being on a side street made getting into and out of the parking lot easier. Very tight parking spaces. Would doubt a large SUV or truck could ever make the corners. My room fridge turned itself off at some point and started leaking water into the floor. I wasn't using it but called the front desk so they could clean it up to prevent damage. Maintenance came immediately and cleaned it up and fixed the fridge. The room was very clean, bathroom was modern and nice. Hotel staff was very friendly. Would stay here again any time
The customer service was good but the wifi and cable barely works. They were upgrading their network but it made the entire experience very disappointing and frustrating. I was on the call with the tech support for about 30 mins to try to reset the wifi connection and it never worked.
The overall experience was okay. Room was nice. It did the job. However - for what you're paying - our sheets wouldn't be switched unless asked for it, and parking is $35 per night. The TV could use more movie channels.
Great location, clean rooms, comfortable bed and pillows, What else do you need? Very nice entryway/pool area, solid internet, touch keys - all nice extras.
It is located in the center of Toronto and is convenient for sightseeing in the city. CN Tower is a 15 minute walk to the hotel. Rooms are clean and staff friendly.
The double tree was quite nice, close enough to a lot of interesting places to eat, or drink at. It's quite close to subway stations as well, it's in a good location. The rooms were nice, clean, and spacious enough to have guests comfortably as well.
