Location was excellent. Staff was friendly. Room was exceptionally clean upon arrival.
Pleasant atmosphere and great food. Knowledgeable service staff made the experience even more special.
I was at the DoubleTree for some drinks with some friends. The room was nice but big small
Good location. Friendly staff. Only issue is pay-parking and that's a limited amount of spaces. If you will stay in downtown Toronto I'd recommend this hotel.
Well, the hotel was nice. We were there for a professional Event and had a hard time finding our event location within the hotel. The front staff seemed to have no idea and only motioned us to use the display board which was still showing the previous day's events. It was a bit frustrating but other than that the hotel seemed clean and tidy.
Got lost, found it again was pretty good. The chairs in the lobby suck tho tbh
Cozy room and friendly service. But I must deduct two stars because 1) there is not a mini-fridge in the room to let me cool my drinks; 2) Wi-Fi is horrendously slow. With the connection speed of 850 kbps, and that connection keeps dropping, you won't be able to do much.
Double Tree by Hilton is a very nice Hotel. Very Convenient located to the mall, Theater CN tower and ect. Little price but worth it.
Smaller rooms than I've typically stayed for comparable prices in Downtown Toronto.. And much louder. Comfortable bedding, good support staff.
Great location, fair price, friendly service, rooms are good. You can do everything on foot because of the location. Super recommended.
Front desk was very nice I will say.
My room had a smoker next door and I understand hotel isn't fully responsible for people's actions.
But I also had alot of blood on the carpet in my room and was left waiting for a new room.
I am very disappointed. We took a two-bed room, and one of the beds still had the smell left over from previous vomiting. The smell is very bad and very disgusting, it keeps you from going to sleep. Also did not tell us about parking, such as price and time
The location was good for exploring downtown Toronto. The hotel had great facilities including washers, pool and a small shop. There were enough elevators. Check-in was quite rushed and hectic. The room was rather small. Parking was very expensive.
Nice location, comfy accommodation extremely helpful staff
Didn't stay overnight but went for a meeting. Nice wine & cheese service. Parking either on the street or underground under the hotel. Lots of good ramen noodles restaurants in that block.
Wonderful hotel! Staff is attentive and friendly. The cookies are delicious. It is located close enough to public transit to get were you need to go without having to traverse the traffic. Many yummy local restaurants in easy walking distance. An all around great experience
I attended a conference, limited interaction with the hotel but had no issues
Good hotel. Clean and good service. Exactly in the city center. Most of the city attractions are within walking distance.
It is a great location close to some really great restaurants and only a few blocks from yonge dundas square. The service is excellent and the rooms are very nice with comfortable beds and great amenities.
A nicely located hotel with the standard amenities. All the staff were very polite/respectful. Only complaint was that the bed wasn't super comfy.
Cool hotel well located. Staff is friendly and Melissa the front desk agent answered all my questions. 5/5
Hotel staff was very friendly and accomodating. Hotel rooms were clean.
Great rates. Amazing room with a veiw. Only downside was no continental breakfast.
Really enjoyed my stay here, the facilities were clean the room was comfortable and the service was polite and courteous. The water and fresh cookie at check in was a very nice touch as well. The location of the hotel is perfect right in the middle of it all downtown. Steps away from public transit you could be anywhere in the metro area in minutes. I always felt safe when commuting in the areas around the hotel. I would certainly recommend this place and will be staying again myself.
Parking was very awful looking for a spot was impossible and when we couldn t find a spot and getting out of the garage was even worse because other people were coming in to look and there is no room whatsoever to move your car. Stuck for almost an hour and with no parking spot for our car for the night...After paying a pretty penny for our room it was annoying not to have a place for our vechile when driving from 2 hours away.
Beautiful and staff so polite and first class serviced
I'm taking English classes there and I'm loving it.
Everything great: staff attention, cleanliness, location, very comfortable beds, superspacious and impeccable rooms.
Great location. The rooms are clean and we ready on time. The personnel were kind.
Rooms are cozy, staff is very friendly. Great location.
Stayed in 2507 great luxury suite, great view of the CN Tower, close to restaurants of every ethnicity, subway and Dundas Square. Hotel clean, great service especially from Princess at the front desk.
Lovely and accommodating reception. Good value for Toronto and good location. Worth a stay here
Modern decor although the rooms so show signs of age. Overall pleasant experience.
Great location. The room is clean. Service is great.
Attended a luncheon here and was impressed by the food served at the hotel. Delicious chicken and friendly servers.
No matter which one location I go to...its always a great stay.
The room was clean, the staff all friendly and helpful. Very good location for sightseeing. Parking costs $ 35 a day, compared to paying $ 24 a day in the parking garage.
Clean nicely styled rooms and bathrooms I liked the local photos in the room and around the halls. The warm cookie at arrival was a nice touch.
Great central location and really comfortable hotel. Going to Toronto, go to the Doubletree
AVOID. BED BUG. It takes a lot for me to write a review especially if it is a negative one, however I am so disappointed and disgusted with my stay at the Toronto Double Tree Hilton. I checked in on November 6, 2019 around 9:30 pm. I was in Toronto for business from Vancouver. I was just about to turn the lights off and go to bed when I saw something jump on my pillow from the corner of my eye I could see it was a bug so I made sure to hold onto it so I could see what it was Sure enough Bed bug. I called the front desk immediately and they asked if I wanted someone to come up and take a look , I asked to be switched to a new room also. The night manager was not professional Seemed disgruntled and had no sense of urgency in the matter. They gave me two breakfast vouchers (however they didn t bother to even spell my name correctly) for the inconvenience . They told me to leave the bug in the room so they could send it off for testing .
I was in meetings all day November 7 Never heard from the hotel once. Nobody called to check in or give me an update on the incident. When I returned to the hotel that early evening, I asked to speak with a manager The day manager had NO clue a bed bug sighting had been reported the night before HUGE RED FLAG. They offered to treat my belongings in a heat tent they had on hand . However, at that point it was too late, and I had no time as I was checking-out early on November 8. They informed me the room would be inspected and once they had a report, they would contact me about appropriate compensation . This was over two weeks ago, and I have yet to receive any communication from the Double Tree Hilton I am so disappointed at the customer service and worry about their lack of urgency regarding bed bugs.
I will never stay at the Double Tree Hilton in Toronto again.
The arranagement and reception is great. The large galary in the basement is wonderful, a room fr over 400 people to sit and listen from a distance with clear slide views.
Great service, great room. Comfy bed, nice view and great quality all around.
Great hotel with cozy rooms. They give these amazing cookies at check-in, oatmeal chocolate chip if I recall correctly. The staff are incredibly pleasant and helpful. They have a cute shop where you can purchase speciality coffee, salads, fruit, snacks, ice cream, etc from. Their business centre is great. The meeting space is really nice, and the food they provided us during our conference was delicious!
Great rooms and they provide you with these awesome homemade chocolate cookies.
Great staff, nice clean rooms, close to financial district. Would stay again.
I was there visiting a guest of the hotel. It seemed nice enough.
Fantastic location, huge comfortable bed, Iron and ironing board in the room by default. Great water pressure in the shower, black out curtains - hot cookies on check in!
Very nice bar adjoins the lobby level restaurant with single malts ans some nice wines by the glass and decent food, and service- love hanging out here. Great hotel staff ! Friendly and helpful. Clean well maintained hotel. Cost to experience ratio is very good. Hilton quality without breaking the bank. One weak spot - the regular rooms are a little small. It s worth upgrading to a two room with kitchenette. All the rooms are clean, comfortable bedding, decently appointed, and wifi works. Central location - most everything is walking distance or a quick can ride.
Went for drinks at the restaurant. Service was good, drinks were good but not spectacular. Overall positive experience
Nice spot to crash during a weekend visit. Rooms were updated well.
Nice and clean hotel. The room was a bit smaller than expected. The food at the restaurant (Hemispheres) was nice but a bit over priced. Overall good.
My friend and i had booked a room 2 months in advance to go to a concert that night. Once we got there the lady at the desk pretty much kicked us out because we apparently had to be 21 to check in (we are 19) but they didn't tell us that when we booked the room 2 MONTHS in advance. I asked the lady where the hell two young girls from out of town were supposed to stay in a big city?? She told us she had no clue and STILL CHARGED US $219 to cancel the room. She was no help at all and didn't even offer to help us find another hotel. We have never been there before and that staff clearly showed no hospitality so we will definitely not be staying there. Thank god the Marriot hotel was kind enough to let us stay there. Will not recommend to anyone.
This will be my first hotel review. This is long overdue... First, and last time staying at this Doubletree location. The cleaning, and service staff are wonderful. Rooms were great. The problem is the management. The back end Manager Matt is exceptionally rude to patrons once you have him on the phone and not in person among the public eye. I spent a fair amount of money spending three nights at this establishment, and I was disappointed. I should have read further reviews on Trip Advisor regarding his attitude. He presents himself as polite, until you have a pressing issue. I had lost a pair of costly glasses at this hotel, and when I inquired about it perhaps being found the Front Desk Manager, was very stand offish. This Manager was was too focused on booking other patrons, and snubbed me off to an assistant staffer in a manner that was not respectful. "Do you mind there are customers waiting to be served..." I had spent no more than one minute explaining that I last had my glasses in the lobby bathrooms and had searched even the room I was checking out of.
They made it seem like I was bothering them to ask for help regarding a pair of missing prescription glasses. I was no longer relevant as I was checking out and they already had my payment. I would have not thought, that gaining assistance would have been an inconvenience to them. I went home with a business card, and called later. When I explained the situation to the back end manager Matt, I was again faced with condescension and my expression on the fact that the front desk was not polite set off a completely different attitude. It's like they feared liability on missing glasses or something. These people value group thinking, over professionalism in hospitality. There is no concept of good business management.
I never received a second phone call follow up regarding my glasses, but was antagonised to escalate my grievances to corporate. That's how Matt chose to end the call. Pure ignorance.
Nice hotel. Room was smaller than expected for a king suite, and the bed was closer to a queen size. Our room with a "view" was 75% neighboring buildings, and 25% downtown/CN Tower. Overall, happy with the bed, and location.
I had suite 2201 which was perfect.
Small kitchen, living room and a king size bed....just perfect for long business trip
Very clean room. The staff is very friendly and helpful.
Rooms are fine, so is wifi. Nicely located. Never tried the food.
Clean hotel in a good location but the staff needs hospitality training.
I'd give them 6 stars if I could. The location, hotel, room, parking, service is fantastic. I will always be staying here when in the area. Close to TTC to boot!
Very nice clean Hotel, very close to a lot of things downtown. Parking garage is big, but does cost extra and can be a little tricky to navigate if a car is coming while you are leaving. Otherwise great service at this hotel!
Never stayed there. But I'd like some free Google play credits. So sure, I stayed there. The service was orange and the rooms were semi-structured pudding.
Great venue. Close to public transit. Clean hotel with ample space. And the food was amazing!!
Great hotel in a great location, they make it right. Except breakfast. Too pricy.
Best stay. I was blown away by the kindness of the staff. They were amazing. I forgot my tooth paste and without requesting one, the maid provided one when she noticed my tooth brush without a paste.
Very friendly place, nice atmosphere, offers a great accomodation!
I'm a Korean. It's an average hotel in downtown Toronto, but ... Staff friendly, downtown, especially the famous Korean restaurant called Kimchi House. I am satisfied with the soil cutlery trip.
