Good rooms and good service. The parking is a little pricey per night in my personal opinion and some of the damage done to the room by prior guests was repaired in a sloppy way but other than that, beds were comfy, things were clean, and it wasn't located on a street that made it hard to turn onto.

The hotel is beautiful, staff extremely friendly and willing to go out of their way to help. The bar stocks some beautiful and tasty drinks that everyone must try. Parking is very tight, a little expensive at $35. Actually got a ticket while there and it was only $30. Saved $5!!! Would highly recommend to anybody needing to stay in downtown!

Horrible experience. Called in advance to confirm a reservation that was made as a gift. A gentleman said all we needed was last 4 digits of credit card that was used to book the gifts. Did not mention we needed original credit card. This is why we called to confirm what was required for someone who didn t make original reservations. There were huge problems with check in and each staff was rude and on a different page. One staff just walked away and started dealing with other customers until we had to ask someone else. Another staff, Samantha, was nice but charged us differently for a security deposit compared to another couple we talked to in the elevator. Why? Finally we decided to pay ourselves since the people giving us a gift didn t fill out a form properly. Doubletree charged us an additional $215 for a security deposit and said security will check our room in the morning before we get the deposit back. We asked another couple in the elevator what their deposit was and it wasn t even half of what ours was. Never in my life have I ever been made to feel like a criminal. I was not treated like a guest. I don t even think there is anything even worth $215 in this room. I m pregnant and believe me, trashing the room is the last thing I m capable of. All hotels are required to tell you about any additional security fees. This fee is not listed on their website either. For what we paid, we ended up getting a small uncomfortable bed in a small room. Location is good and it seems perfect for someone staying in town for business, however, the staff could have just given us the option of paying with a different card rather than requiring the original card. We were incredibly polite (though confused) and staff just walked away and were incredibly rude. Our other friends (who also received a room as a gift) were checked in with no problems because their staff made a mistake and reception even said that was a mistake on their end. Why is it that all their staff are trained differently or follow different policies, including the guy we spoke to on the phone? Everyone gave a different message. Reception and amenities lack atmosphere and I would rather spend my money on a far nicer hotel in Toronto. I would NEVER return to this hotel again.

It exceeded my expectations.

It exceeded my expectations.

I stayed here for one night because I need to have my visa stamped nearby.

The reception "Princess" is very helpful and fast in check-in. She also provided a few useful tips.
You can also check-in luggage on visa interview day.

The room is clean. Bed is comfortable.

The only downside is that it's a bit noisy outside. But that's because there is a construction site nearby. Not a problem in the future.

Will definitely stay next time.

Booked a for a 4 night stay. They gave my room away after the first night. They lost all of my belongings that I had left in the room.

They can't find my belongings! Resolution is taking an inordinately long time.

I'm a little worried, at the moment, about my upcoming stay at the DoubleTree. I haven't stayed there since it has changed ownership. I have been trying to call the hotel regarding a change in the number of beds. The first time I called, I was rerouted 3 times to the reception desk and then no one picked up the phone. I just called again, and waited while the phone rang and rang before someone picked up. The young woman who picked up the phone then dropped it and continued to juggle it awkwardly (I could hear the phone banging against something repeatedly) as we conversed. I asked her to please change me to a room with two beds and there are no rooms with this option left. So I said I would happily settle for a cot in the room, and the answer to that was no as well - fire hazard, apparently. She assured me that she would put me on a list for a two-queen-bed room if there is a cancellation, but I did not hear her typing this information into the computer. After hanging up, I had absolutely no confidence that she would even add this information to my reservation

Nice hotel located centrally in downtown Toronto, only a 5 minute walk from the Eaton Centre. The rooms are nicely decorated and are relatively fresh. Service was friendly and helpful. Will definitely need to stay again.

A good hotel in a central Toronto location. I can walk too many places from here like the cn tower, the ball park, and all the restaurants and bars on King and queen streets. The hotel has parking on several underground levels. The rooms are nice and clean. I had a corner room and the wifi was very weak and intermittent a lot but I am guessing it's just that room. Very helpful attendants and you can tell they want you to enjoy your stay. The restaurant is nice and has a quality breakfast. Average price for the area, use your points to lower the price if you have them!

Very nice hotel. Like all other DoubleTree hotels. Location is very good as it's not on a main busy street but it's right downtown and a few blocks away from all major attractions.
The rooms are bit smaller than what I'm used to seeing in other DoubleTree hotels. Rooms have an iron and ironing table, safety deposit box, but no mini fridge.

A great Doubletree property, friendly staff, on-site parking and a decent pool all come together nicely to make this one stand out. Best of all, it is located in a quiet area that is less than 5 minutes walking distance from all of Toronto's hot spots.

I am torn to go so harsh on this hotel. My room was very overpriced in my opinion. The staff were fairly aloof and had their own conversations and silliness going on but we're friendly and helpful. My room had a very loud heating system that kept waking my roommate and myself up. The room was very small but clean. I think this could be a 4/5 place if the price was 1/4 of what I paid.

I m extremely frustrated and disappointed in the lack of customer service I just received. I ve been trying to get two pre-authorizations removed from my card for two days now with no success, these amounts total almost $1,800!! The individual I spoke with yesterday was at least empathetic and apologetic for the error. The person I spoke to today didn t even take the time to listen. He was abrupt, said he couldn t help me and to call back tomorrow to speak with someone else. He didn t even let me share what my concern was!

I travel often and based on this lack of care, I will be very reluctant to choose DoubleTree for future accommodations.

Setup was unfortunate as our event room butted up against another event and the food right outaide of our room was not for us. But there was no way to know that for someone in the washroom during the announcement e.g. It was fine to have to walk to the food that wasn't a problem. It just was poorly signed and an interesting setup. Just check if it works for you before booking.

Great bed, clean room but the noise! We hardly slept then first thing in the morning there is construction right beside, why put your guests so close to that? Breakfast buffet was so overpriced. Staff were friendly.

The room wasn't very spacious, but the decor was very nice! It was quiet inside the room, despite a big party 2 doors down.
Half of the complimentary things weren't there in the room at all, but we had no need of them so it wasn't a bother.
The only frustrating thing was parking. I circled the entire parking complex, all 6 levels of it - and couldn't find a single spot! I only got lucky on my way up and found someone that just left. It was a bit pricy as well, $29 per night, but a lot cheaper compared to others.
I loved that they give you a cookie when you check it! It was delicious.

good space with really clean bed and washroom, AC works perfect, isolation was great, you can't hear anything frim outside, best part is the location, right at the downtown, university of toronto and eaton center in walking distance, and transportation such as greyhound and subway within 3mins walk, soooooo convenience, the customer service was great, only one bed experience was an asian woman there, she was total racism of Asian(I'm an asian), i was told i can chk in a little early if the room done cleaning by the other lady, so I walked around outside then came back around 1pm, so i went to that asain lady ask if i can chk in ealier, she doesn't look at me and voice was rude told me i can't chk until 3pm, she let me sit there and wait, so i did cuz i thought room wasn't clean yet, while i sitting there, I saw she chk in every foreigner(non-ansian) with a big smile and also offer cookie to them, they were came after me but chk in before me, I was so angry so i walked to another lady whom told me i can chk in early, she was so nice and let me chk in with no hard time, I will NO RECOMMEND go to the asian lady there, unless you not asian, she was rude and despicable, she was yelling out that doesn't know how to spell my last name which only 2 letters in my last name, seriously, if i have to pick only 1 down side, this is definitely the one

Great hotel with extremely friendly staff always going the extra mile to make sure your stay is perfect. Located close to city hall and many other attractions. If you are parking a larger vehicle (I drive a f150) then you may have to park at city hall just down the street. The parking garage is 6'0 and my vehicle needs atleast 6'2, just an FYI for guests.

This hotel is a really good value for the money. The location is right next to Chinatown, a five minute walk from the Toronto sign, a couple city blocks from Yonge/Dundas, and (depending on your tolerance for walking) it's reasonably within walking distance of the hockey hall of fame and other stuff downtown, too. On top of this, there are literally dozens of restaurants within walking distance.

The staff are helpful and friendly. As others have said, yes, you get warm cookies upon check in. The rooms are well kept and modern enough. Parking is something like $30 a day, but for the location that is a bargain.

I've stayed here twice now and will definitely stay again.

Cookies in general are just so amazing. Imagine arriving at a hotel after a long driving or commute and being greeted with a fresh warm chocolate and macadamia cookie. The rooms are clean and the staff is super friendly. Especially when you get fed cookies at anytime. Even when coming back at 3 am after a night of partying, you can rely on a trusty cookie to end the night.

Was really good. I just forgot something there and when I went back I couldn't find it, it was really hard talking to them. I can understand that was my mistake but at least they could do something to make me feel better.
