Double tree by hilton downtown toronto Review

Went for a course. Meeting room was nice. Was a bit noisy from other things going on in rooms next to ours.

Nice clean room, comfortable bed, free WiFi, friendly and attentive staff. The breakfast buffet was really tasty and good value. Good location.

Affordable and central location that's within walking distance to shopping and dining.

Absolutely shocking...

For the price I am mortified. The water in the shower never got hot, the bed was uncomfortable, there were stains in the sheets, the tub repair left marks on the outside of the tub, there was mold inside the tub, a wall repair was an eyesore. So you get a cookie... big deal. Would not recommend.

We had stayed here one night while we were at a party downtown. Very impressed with the cleanliness of the rooms and helpfulness of the staff.

We would definitely recommend this hotel to friends and family who are visiting the city. This hotel is close to a bunch of restaurants as well so that was helpful.

Friendly staffs and are very welcoming but the rooms are a lot smaller than the other Hilton Hotels

I feel like the staff were rude and could have been a lot more approachable. When I asked for help, it sounded like a chore to them. A few smiles from the waiters and waitresses would have been nice.

Great place to be. In the middle of down townToronto. Friendly staff, good breakfast and diner. Clean rooms. Greet view. Espacially the mini market in the hotel and the ATM are helpfull. Als a gym and swimmingpool. I love to stay here

Would have rated 4 stars, but first night got told they 'overbooked' and got shipped back to an airport hotel, with a promise of a nice room the following night - got given the smallest room with no view on not a very high floor. The airport hotel was really nice if it wasn't that we only had 5 hours to sleep by the time we got there and that it was near the airport.

PARKING IS NOT GUARANTEED!!! PUBLIC/HOTEL PARKING. YOU MAY HAVE TO PARK DOWN THE STREET. INCONVENIENCE TO FAMILIES.

Extremly bad experience. No response from front desk and such a rude staff. Did not get even fresh food. I felt like waste of money.

Excellent place to stay! Close to city hall and if you enjoy a nice walk, it's about 20min or so through downtown to the heart of the entertainment district! Nice rooms and clean establishment.

Many reviews have said that the service is top notch and they were not wrong! We were travelling with a newborn and Matt went above and beyond when checking us in. The hotel is beautiful and the beds and pillows were amazing. There is construction going on next door but we were on the 14th floor and barely noticed the noise. The breakfast buffet was also very good, the only constructive criticism is that the servers are so busy clearing tables that they dont have much time for coffee/water/Juice service.

Nice view on location but it s a dates and noisy hotel. I checked into the first room (2212) and the HVAC was so noisy I couldn t sleep. I asked to be switched to another room (1818) it s noisy as well! I definitely wouldn t recommend this hotel and won t be staying here again. I ve been a loyal Hilton guest for years but I m very disappointed in the brand in comparison to the Marriott experiences I ve had this year with my job. I m strongly considering taking my loyalty elsewhere.

Good location. Great staff. Wonderful breakfast. Rooms are a bit small. The housekeeping is a bit lax. Upon arrival we had little critters and black hair in the bathroom. Seems housekeeping does not pay full attention to hair.

Stayed in a suite on the 25th floor, the room was beautiful, clean and comfortable, staff were friendly.
Views of the city were great.

This is a really nice hotel, definitely had the Hilton touch with it's fine amenities. The customer service good, friendly and accommodating. Located in the middle of downtown, walking to the mall is easy no transportation necessary. I definitely recommend staying at this hotel. Thanks Hilton!!

Was in the Victoria room and venue was nice. Service was excellent as was the food.

Close to subway and clean hotel. Staff is also extremly friendly.

The room was cozy and the beds were EXTREMELY soft and comfortable. The washroom was kinda small but was in great condition. The breakfast had an extremely wide variety of food [though there could be more options for vegetarians]. The only complaint is that the rooms were barely lit and it would be a lot better if there was a little more light.

Good location, very friendly and helpful staff. Coffee was absolutely undrinkable, and my standards are not very high.

It is a decent hotel. Amenities were good, location excellent, parking is underground and accessible from the hotel, but not included in the price. The room was clean and room service excellent. But the furnishings are showing their age - just a half step to shabby chic. The stain was wearing off the cabinets, bathroom tile grout was discoloured. And there was a lot of street noise - even 18 floors up. But the staff was excellent, and overall I enjoyed my stay.

Great location (right behind City Hall and Osgoode Hall), right in the heart of downtown. Modern, updated, clean and well serviced and staffed. Competitively priced (which in Toronto means no more over priced than its competition).

Clean and nice rooms, service is good and there is an underground parking lot. Location is great for tourists or businessmen.

Standard DoubleTree offering. Good location with plenty of dining options within a short walk. 2 minute walk to the subway.

Good service parking available on the street and garage so many tourists attraction sites around.

The subway and the street car were close to the station, making it a very convenient place to walk to various sights. Moreover, all the staff were kind, and the coffee machine and shampoo & rinse that were provided in the room were the best!
Also recommended is a Japanese restaurant called YUTAKA located near the hotel and a supermarket.

We booked 2 rooms here for a bachelorette event. Loved the quality of the rooms and the overall service both at checkin/checkout but throughout the night and breakfast. The view was beautiful and, speaking from personal experience, the bed was fantasticly comfortable. Thank you for the wonderful service!

Clean comfortable rooms with an amazing view from the 24th floor. Only had breakfast there but it was delicious. Service was good. They only had a shower and the coffee was not good. Put a Keurig in there and I'd give you 5 stars

I have stayed in this hotel from Nov 17th to Nov 22nd in 2017. I really enjoyed this hotel. These are the highlights:
They welcome you with a warn cookie, which is very good,
the rooms are very clean with excellent mattresses and pillows, and are very well equipped
There is a laundry for guests in the mezanine. It is a very good idea, that many hotels should replicate. The machines are brand new, and work well.
There is a pool, so you can have a swim even if it is cold outside.
The location is good, just a couple of blocks from the metro.

Should I return to Toronto, this hotel would be my default choice.

Nice hotel with very accommodating staff. The room was a little dated with stain on a bench but overall a nice hotel in a decent location. The bar is spacious and very nice bartender. Overall, I would recommend this hotel. There is construction next door but didn't hear their work.

We were very happy there. The staff was great, has also quickly taken care of our very noisy neighbors. On arrival gave warm cookies. It was not overcrowded, we were at the pool every day, lucky that almost always there were alone. It is centrally located, everything is nearby.

Love the cookies! Great, modern room in a central location. Only complaint is with the black out curtains - they are not well designed and the room floods with light in early morning.

So when I first got there they asked me a bunch of questions about what I'm doing in Toronto like its any of there business. The worst part is as I was checking out they said they needed to check my room before
I can leave, that took an hour, at the time I had a flight to catch and almost ending up missing it. So i'm at the hotel waiting for another hour while they checked my room, I have been to many hotels I've never had to wait while they check my room. I felt like I was definitely profiled. Then after all that, I put down a deposit for the room when i first got there and they gave me back a third of the deposit i put down. When I called and asked what happened to the rest of my deposit they didn't have an answer. I had to get my bank involved and they awarded me my money back. also, the second day of my stay they charged my card two separate charges and then the next day it got credited back, so strange. I obviously don't recommend this hotel. Buyer Beware.

Frequent traveler - cozy rooms but fair size for being downtown. Nice restaurants on the first floor and 2nd floor. The 2nd floor is a Chinese restaurant. Staff checked me in quickly. The parking is $15 a day and snug but the downtown parking is expensive $25 on average. It s cheaper to Uber or do mass transit. If you are leaving downtown than renting a car makes sense. The breakfast buffet has no restrictions for Honors members. It s $24 normally for 12 and older.

Attended a professional event. Facilities were very good a location is ideal.

Stayed here 2 times and never had a problem. The fresh baked cookies that they give you on checkin were delicious. Great central location.
