This hotel was amazing. Not a single complaint. Parking was a little scary but that's because the ceiling is about 7 feet or so. The AC in the room was kicking. Very clean and great restaurant too. Centrally located with subway and fhe Toronto tour close by. Shopping and restaurants are easily a few minutes away by foot. Beds were great. Only real compplaint was that the view of the tower was obstructed by a crane on another property. This may be the best little secret in Toronto.
Nice room, friendly staff and a comfortable stay. The parking was a bit pricey, and the elevators were a bit slow, but everything else was fine. We enjoyed our stay!
Booked a room with 2 double beds for 4 nights as our daughter was having heart surgery at SickKids. Our rooms hot water was not working, which we kind of needed to make sure we were clean going to and from the hospital. The man at the front desk immediately upgraded us to a suite on the top floor for our troubles. We forgot to catch his name but he was awesome. Was great talking to my kids & really friendly.
Location is great. Room is not big but not so small. Just one issue I had was, the bedsheets has sevral of small red stains. It seems like a drop of blood or sth. I never had this experience even when I stayed $70 of motel. It was big disappointment for the room nearly $200 per a night.
I had the pleasure of staying with my group at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Toronto Downtown, 108 Chestnut St, Toronto, ON M5G 1R3, Canada. We arrived very late at the hotel from the airport after a weather delay coming into YYZ from ORD, but our hotel room was ready, and we were offered some warm chocolate chip cookies which my group was grateful to accept at that hour. The hotel room was nice and inviting when we got to it and all items were in order from the TV, in room Wi-Fi, bathroom accessories and supplies for tired travelers who just wanted to relax. Our group was able to take advantage of some of the things that the hotel had to offer such as the in-house health club facility, the in house heated swimming pool and one of the many restaurants. We enjoyed the complimentary daily newspapers offered both the Wall Street Journal and the National Post. The concierge was exceptionally knowledgeable about anything we asked, and the doorman was super friendly and more than once called up a cab to the door for my group as it was inclement weather on our visit to Toronto. So, I would highly recommend that if you're able to stay here at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Toronto Downtown, 108 Chestnut St, Toronto, ON M5G 1R3, Canada that you'll tremendously enjoy yourself and that your group travelling with you will as well! I look forward to my next visit and next stay here at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Toronto Downtown, 108 Chestnut St, Toronto, ON M5G 1R3, Canada!
Love this hotel. Beautiful, clean, spacious rooms with comfortable beds. The nicest staff and tons of food choices. The restaurants in the hotel are so good and the breakfast is on another level. Also, the location is great! Small convenience store across the street, market one block away (w/ Starbucks), and the best local asian restaurants I've ever been to. Very impressed every time I stay here.
We stayed here in an emergency situation when our Toronto apartment had no power/water. The staff were super friendly and even gave us warm cookies! The room was spick & span, smelled faintly like lavender, and was very comfy. The hotel also has a gym & pool area, though we didn't take advantage. Despite the stress of our apartment situation, we had a great experience and would recommend this hotel to ANY visiting family or friends.
I recently attended a wedding brunch there, in the mezzanine. The food was good and service was excellent. I would definitely consider this hotel in the future based on the experience.
Great location. Everything is at your fingertips. The restaurant serves an excellent menu for casual dining. A great place to stay. Rooms are modern and very clean. Excellent staff.
It's a Double Tree. The staff were excellent, the room was small but well appointed. I always enjoy my stay at a Double Tree. The location is not spectacular, there are no views to speak of and parking is crazy expensive. But this is not any fault of the people who work there. It is what it is. I do recommend it
The absolute worse part of my trip to Toronto was staying at this hotel. After discovering a ROACH in my room I felt extremely uncomfortable and paranoid staying in the room. When it was brought to their attention they offered to move me to a higher floor. I paid way too much to stay in a hotel housed with roaches.
Samantha, who is apart of management was extremely condescending when trying to handle an issue of unnecessary charges to a card we had on file. I felt as if she was insinuating we didn't have enough money to stay there.
We absolutely loved this hotel, awesome staff, wonderful, warm chocolate chip cookies at check in. Breakfast and supper were amazing. My husband enjoyed his steak dinner very much. Rooms are lovely and very comfortable, just like being at home.
Good location, comfortable bed, and clean room. I'd recommend this as a solid but not high end hotel to give you easy access to lots of Toronto neighborhoods.
I stayed in a very comfortable queen room, for three nights. Hotel is in a great location in downtown Toronto. Very nice staff, and I enjoyed my breakfast in the main floor restaurant. Only downside was the excessive noise outside the hotel between 7 and 8 am that woke me up.
Beautiful facility. Shopping and attractions are nearby. Transit and taxi are very closeby. Staff was terrific. Room and price were great. I will be back. Thx very much for an excellent stay. Cheers
Amazing fresh cookies all the time! Very kid friendly and room service is always good. Very clean and spacious. The all you can eat breakfast buffet is so worth it. Kids 10 and under are free with a paying adult of course. So nice and warm. Just a lovely hotel with amazing guest services.
The staff were very friendly and catered to all of our needs.. the rooms were spacious and very comfortable. The kids also enjoyed the complimentary cookies.
Good location very well situated. Stayed for a conference that was at the Chestnut Conference centre which was less than a 2 minute walk away which was perfect. Room was clean and tidy. Bed was comfortable. In checking in you get a warm cookie which is great. Parking for the overnight stay cost 30 dollars. Would stay over again if given the chance.
Good hotel if you just spend the night here and then out to Toronto's streets. If you would like to spend some time at the hotel you would realize that the rooms are small and have no further good views. The staff are a little witty and sometimes forget about what you ordered for eg breakfast. The pool I have not even gone and tried because I imagine it would be similar to the rest of the hotel which means a bit messy.
Warm cookies provided at check in and check out. We were well taken care of every step of the way. Clearly providing a positive customer experience is a priority for this hotel.
Having arrived in Toronto and our original booked accommodation was less than acceptable we stumbled upon this. Couldn't have been happier with genuinely great happy smiley staff, nice big clean rooms, express lifts, swimming pool, gym, comfy bed, excellent housekeeping staff, attentive breakfasts staff and a really good breakfast buffet. What more can I say? Only negative would be that the hotel needs to get it's reservations in order. We booked the first night direct but then went to an online booking agent and got a rate 15% less to include breakfast for the next 4 nights. Make sure you shop around!
Possibly one of the best service driven hotels I ve ever gone to set at a reasonable rate. Big thank you to every single staff member for making me feel like I was the only one staying there. Thanks!
Good walking location from cultural points in the city. Hemispheres has some great cocktails. Only lost a point due to a fire alarm at 4 am during our stay.
Great staff. We had some issues with our room but they immediately fixed them. Room service was fast and friendly. Had a nice swim in the saltwater pool. We have stayed here many times and have always had a good stay. Decent breakfast at the hemisphere restaurant
Very good experience. We booked our room through an online reservation site and requested a room high enough to have a view of Toronto. Our room was on the 14th floor at the corner of the building which allowed us to have, I think, more windows and therefore more brightness compared to the other rooms. Nothing to say about the room: spacious, bright, clean.
The staff are also very nice and helpful without being overwhelming, which can sometimes be the case in some establishments.
The breakfast is plentiful and varied. You will find eggs, pancakes, cereals, fruits, ...
There is also the possibility to park below the hotel for 35 euros per day.
