Dinner at the restaurant on second floor. Food was pretty tasty, but it was on the pricey side.Service was fantastic though, very attentive servers.

Great location with nice variety of Asian restaurants (Japanese, Korean,Thai) closeby. Walking distance to city mall. Standard room setup as expected with view of nearby building. Lovely conceirge staff. Breakfast not great but sufficient.
Went there to meet a friend staying over. The rooms were pretty amazing. The food was great too. Service was great too.
Good team. One of the waiters (Juden???) works extremely hard. Comfortable bed, clean, and centrally located. The location is amazing. The breakfast that was included in our package is very good. Easy walk to the entertainment district, China town, distillery...
We only selected this hotel because of the package with Porter and we are glad we did.
A bit old to be a hotel of these characteristics. Well located.
Customer service does not meet Hilton standards. Definitely not the standards for HHonors member.
The doubletree by Hilton hotel is in a great location, nice and close to all the hip things going on downtown. . My room was great, clean and easy to access.. I stayed on the 7th floor but it would have been nice to be higher for a better view.
really enjoyed this hotel. just 3 blocks from the subway station. great service from the front desk and always answered any questions we had. would love to stay with them again.
Great hotel. Close to everything downtown. Great welcome cookies.
Excellent Hilton service. We called a technician for heating, in half an hour it was settled.
I always love staying at this.hotel
Close to everything and very nice room!
Clean comfortable quiet to sleep. Great place to come back to after a day of touring. Has pool and sauna. Computer. Snacks.
This hotel is right in the heart of downtown, and it's even nicer than I was expecting. Our room had a modern look to it, and we ended up with a great view of Nathan Phillips Square and the Toronto sign. What really surprised me was that when I asked a concierge about whether or not the hotel had recently been renovated, he said it was actually expecting them soon. I guess that maybe the in-room HVAC units or washroom shower head could be replaced with something more modern-looking, but, aside from that, the place looked quite up-to-date.
Went for a college class trip here and they give you warm huge cookies right when you get it and conveniently located to everything in the heart of Toronto
Clean rooms with good location close to Nathan Square
Clean and very nice. Automated check in and check out makes everything very easy. In the heart of downtown. Friendly staff, great location.
They charge in full for the entire stay and refund you if you don't stay as long as you think. They wouldn't split the payment. After an hour getting an increase from the bank we were able to check in.
Add $250 security and $35 a day to park.
Construction right outside the window starts at around 6am. If you are coming for Sick Kids don't bother as you won't get any sleep if you stay with your child at night at the hospital.
Restaurant is nice. Usual Toronto sirens all night. Ear plugs provided in the bed side table.
Great staff! They could use better allergen labeling on their food.
Room was so small for 350$ a night, lots of noise from other guest even after I called the front desk to take care of it. Very thin walls as you could hear anything form the bathroom next to ours and the elevator all night which made it hard to sleep peacefully. Also, bed appears to be a small queen (resembles more a double than queen). Granted it's a great location but way overpriced for a bad experience.
Hotel has a good location and the staff willing to go above and beyond. It is an older hotel however. As such the rooms site sine wear and sound proofing is not the best.
Nice place, staff was pretty attentive. Just had to be on hold almost every time calling front desk. There was a fire alarm at 3 am during my stay which sucked. Staff is pretty friendly and thoughtful. Always brought extras of what was asked (blankets, etc.) Overall, really good stay
Rooms are very comfortable, if a little small. Parking is expensive.
Close to most locations. Was able to walk to the CN Tower and Hockey Hall of Fame within 20min. Rooms are cozy and the staff is extremely friendly and helpful
Great location, decent rooms. Friendly staff, but somewhat spotty service (housekeeping) and inconsistent billing / Hhonors benefits.
Always a great place to stay, and it's reasonably priced !!
Luxurious hotel with courteous staff and inviting atmosphere. The rooms are clean, the beds are comfortable, and the rooms are equipped with coffee/tea and shower amenities. Let's not forget the complementary warm cookie on arrival!
Really nice hotel .
Close to all the main attractions.
Really awesome service! Kept my do not disturb sign up the entire stay but every time a housekeeper would catch me entering or exiting my room they were sure to ask if I needed anything. Also ended up leaving some cords behind, but they had been set aside and I picked them up shortly after. Wonderful experience.
Feels like there are second rate spies patrolling their lobby looking for ghosts.
Hotel is at the northern edge of downtown, close to city hall and university of Toronto. Location is safe and service is good. Room is nicely appointed but small. There were a fire alarm incident on the night I was staying. It was annoying as the elevator is slow.
The people were great. But the rooms are very small. You can hear everything going on in the hallway. And our bathroom was not in the greatest state of repair.
I went for drinks on a Friday night with an old friend. Great vibe, friendly service and free bar nuts with the drinks. Super comfy, great bathrooms. Just be weary of parking. I'd recommend taking the TTC.
Centrally located on Chestnut Street just north of city hall, we easily walked to Roy Thompson Hall in a snow storm. Twenty minutes travel time on foot was all we needed. The room on the 22nd was perfectly located for great views of the city through the snow. The room was compact but very comfortable.
Nice place the road was under constraints, great restaurant
The rooms are cozy. The only downside was the lifts. Out of the 6 lifts only 2 would work and during early hours the housekeeping would be using these despite having separate lifts
We stayed here this week and are very disappointed. I booked two queen rooms as my son and daughter-in-law were with us. Had asked that they be adjoining or side by each---they weren't. The room we got was, I guess, behind another room because it had a hallway about half the length of a bowling alley. The hotel is under renovation and we got a newly renovated room (ha ha);. For a "Queen" room, it was extremely cramped with the only place to sit (outside of the desk) was on the bed. Also, the mattress was the smallest Queen size mattress I have ever seen??? No closet, but, there was a very small armoire--the hanging bar inside it was broken and we had to call housekeeping to have it fixed & my wife couldn't enjoy a bath because the "stopper" wouldn't stay down in the bathtub (remember--this is a newly renovated room???). The heater/air conditioner was quite noisy as well--probably should be replaced. Not a good experience at all. I had stayed here a few years ago when it was the Metropolitan and it was really good--that's why I re-booked here again. I will be going to another hotel the next time. The only saving grace for this hotel was the Lai Wah Heen restaurant on the second floor. We enjoyed one of the best dining experiences of our lives there this past Monday night. Next time, I will take a taxi to this restaurant, from another downtown hotel.
Great location, extremely nice hotel staff, the front desk was great. Thanks, did a great stay
Chef Raymond at Hemisphere serves up an excellent traditional English meal. Portions are generous, and full of flavour. Dining service was excellent.
Service is good. Lobby is clean. Room that me and my girlfriend got was pretty nice. I would definitely come back to this hotel. I wished that the parking was accomodated with the stay but you got to pay $35 to park overnight till about 2pm.
great location, great services, nice room view ,delicious breakfast buffect, recommended.
Took advantage take of the bar special in HemIspheres: 2ounce martini @ 7.50.
Snacks were delicious! Our waiter was very welcoming, with good advice for drinks and food. He was attentive, but not intrusive. We had great seats by the window where we could watch the hustle and bustle of Friday afternoon at the end of the business day.
So some strange white stains are all over the couch cushions, our room hasn't been cleaned from the last people, and we litterly had to rearrange the room to fit a cot, they charge for dirty dishes?!?! And the pool and gym are terrible oh.
The customer service on check in was fantastic.
i really enjoyed my short weekend stay and the next time i visit Toronto i will absolutely stay at the double tree by hilton
Great hotel. We received a warm welcome and a cookie. Yup, you come here and you get a warm cookie and an even warmer concierge giving you your key. The room was neat and the bed very comfortable. Not outside noise to ruin our night like we had in another Toronto hotel during our last visit. The hotel is centrally located and can be booked for a great price on Expedia.
Courteous service but problems with the elevators and the food is blah.
Henry is amazing and the hotel's asset. Rooms are tight. ....
Loved the front desk staff. Ultra chill when under pressure from guests who were ,obnoxious. ...service from the floor staff outstanding. ...umbrellas at the ready in the rain, humor ,to make the guests comfortable
The staff was very friendly and welcoming. Any questions that I had as a visitor from the US, they answered. The tech support was even happy to help in replacing my remote. The housekeeping staff were nice and entertained my request for additional coffee cups, sugar and cream. The location is amazing and puts you in walking distance to most restaurants, museums, bars, etc.
Nice room good food in restaurant great location close to ask downtown shopping reasonable for Toronto.
We stay here often and had our wedding a few years ago.
Comfortable rooms and great breakfast restaurant.
I really enjoyed my stay, the location was ideal for the wedding I attended in the heart of Downtown Toronto, the room was very nice and is kept very clean and service was great for what I needed on a daily basis.
Bed for children, very small room, and not very soundproof / Bed for children, very small room, and not very soundproof.
Great High end hotel in downtown Toronto close to Eaton Centre. Many amenities within walking distance.
The rooms are clean (albeit a tad bit small) and the staff are friendly. The parking ramp is crazy narrow. Do NOT bring a truck (it's doable, but it is extremely cramped).
Good hotel, good location and all. But all the food in the hotel is just terrible. Breakfast buffet 27 dollars, you will see one dollar boxed cereals and super cheap looking pastries and that's it lol This kind of breakfast I saw in 3 star hotel. I ordered room service, korean barbecue it was absolutely terrible. Other than that great vaule hotel. Affordable and comfy. I would stay here again without eating here
Check in was a breeze, rooms very nice, loved the welcome cookie, I made the mistake of going to the buffet for breakfast and bring it back to my room. Paid $30 for about $2 worth of food. Not impressed with the price
Parking was $35
Cracks in the ceiling and and bad service on the phone. The beds were comfortable!
Clean, great location and comfortable bed. There is a public parking very close so you don't need to pay 35$ a night to park at the hotel.
Great place to stay. Always liked Hilton properties but this one is better cause it is in downtown and great staff. Love their cookies.
Nice and well maintained hotel with all facilities except for WiFi being a bit slow it is an awesome hotel. Nice view of Toronto downtown.
