The short version is that I purchased a "Certified Pre-Owned" car from McDavid Honda last year and it has been like pulling teeth trying to get the service department to fix it. I had to bring it in multiple times to try to get a pre-existing alignment issue fixed, and most recently it took six visits for them to fix a suspension issue, which they only even acknowledged on the third visit. I actually don't know if they fully fixed it because I have since sold the car. Just be aware that if you choose to get your car serviced here, you'll have to budget plenty of time for the extra trips back.
It has come to my attention that they drove my car on toll roads without my knowledge or consent.

We recently visited Honda McDavid of Frisco for a lease. Davood Bayat was our sales representative and he was friendly, open, extremely helpful, knowledgeable, patient and very attentive to our needs. The transaction ran smoothly and we are very happy with the purchase. We are a return customer and highly recommend Davood and this dealership as our experience was wonderful. They really follow the Costumer comes 1st attitude.
Great staff. Great service. Overall great atmosphere. After filling out my application online I was pleasantly surprised by their immediate response. As a first time car buyer, I was a little nervous, but Mark guided me through the whole process and made sure I was satisfied with my experience. I would definitely recommend coming here to anyone.
I was working with scott and manager Nabeel and Finance guy Andrew all are awesome and friendly... definitely best place to do business. THE BEST DEAL IS HERE.
Bought a 2006 Toyota Camry in March best experience ever. Even though I have bad credit they had me approved fast and when I got my car even though I wanted something newer it was awesome! I love my car and all my paperwork was ready with warranty and all. I will definitely be back at trade in time.
When going for service, please make sure you book your appointment prior and also look if you can book an appointment with Tyler Anderson as your service advisor. He is best and helped me with what's best for my car as well as what's better for my pocket as well.
My sales experience with Sidney Briscoe was great!! She was very attentive to all my needs and went above and beyond my expectations. I absolutely love my new Honda Accord Touring 2.0T that was purchased at this dealership!! Thank you all!!!
Good people up front , the mechanics in the back ! A whole different story. Plan on getting comfortable in there waiting room, your gonna be there a while This was not our Expectations of a David Mac David dealership. Good luck.
Our salesman Victor was absolutely awesome. We bought a used car for our daughter and it wasn t ready to leave the lot yet, but he kept us posted on the status everyday. We bought it as is, and on the third day the battery went out. My daughter brought it back in and they replaced it for free. We were very pleased with our experience.
On Nov 11 2019 I brought my new (2019) civic in for its first oil change. I had received two coupons in the mail which would be honored by many Honda dealers in my area. One coupon was for a reduced rate for a full synthetic oil change and another coupon for a complimentary tire rotation. The work was done promptly and they also informed me that they applied a recall software update for free. The recall notices had not yet been distributed in the mail yet but they did this work in advance while I was there. This was a good thing! :).
I signed off on the work and drove off. Later that night I realized that I was charged 19.95 for the tire rotation (which was supposed to be complimentary according to the coupon) so I called back and contacted Rafael (aka Mario) about it. He apologized for the mix up but later he said he would not have access to that work order (and coupons I submitted) since there was warranty work involved so the paper work had already been sent to administration and could not be pulled to access the coupons. He added he would honor the tire rotation on the next visit. I have not called back to follow up with him since then I've been sick and lost my voice.
He was courteous and he did try to do the right thing ( pull the work order at my request). It seems that with out proof of a coupon they could not simply reverse charge my credit card for the difference (19.95).
Having normal expectations, I understand that they could not reverse the charges without first reviewing the coupons. Without that review he could be committing fraud. My same normal expectations are at a loss for how this (19.95) refund will be possible in the future when this whole mix-up is forgotten.
The process used here can be improved by allowing the service advisors a way to pull read-only copy of warranty work orders with coupons even after they have been submitted to administration. Without a process update, I will refuse to submit any future coupons to a service advisor (at any location) until after the work is done and before I sign for invoice charges.
I want to believe that Rafael did everything in his control to make things right with me (the customer), however, his hands were tied without being able to pull the warranty work from administration and I find it dubious that I'll see this 19.95 refund.
In response to Owner's response: Since my second call out to the service department, I have not had time to follow up. Please clarify 1) who I should follow up with and 2) what should I expect to ask about for this follow-up.
We could not have had a better car buying experience than what we recently had at David McDavid Honda. From the moment we walked in the door, our salesman, James Dorman, was very professional and provided all the answers to our questions. There was absolutely no pressure at all. When we decided on our vehicle, we then had the pleasure of dealing with Youness Jirani, the finance manager. He explained everything to us very clearly and answered all of our questions.
This is the ideal shady used car dealership. Moe Montazeri (salesman) and Steven Elkins (Manager) should be ashamed of how they treated a customer. First of all, I don't usually leave reviews for anything, but I had to let other people know my experience here. I went in to buy a used Honda Odyssey and agreed to a trade in with them and had all of the details laid out for me. I told them I agreed to the price they laid out for me and would be back the next day to finalize the deal since it was getting late and I had my newborn and two other children with me. They assured me they would hold the car for me without a deposit since I was a "disabled veteran" and they knew they could "trust my word" that I would be back to purchase it. That actually made me feel good at the time but it was all just lip service. The next day early in the morning, I get a call from Moe saying he needed a deposit to hold the car and so I gave him a deposit, which was no big deal because I planned on purchasing the vehicle anyways. About an hour later I received a call saying that if I didnt get to the dealership to make the deal right away, they were going to sell the car to someone else. At that time I jump in my car and head to the dealership. Half way to the dealership (15 minutes away from my house) I get a call saying they sold it to someone else and they do not take deposits unless it is out of state. So they essentially created a new policy that morning or conveniently forgot about their policy so they could sell the car to someone else even though I put down a deposit on the car. These people don't honor their word and will say anything to make you feel good. Maybe it's my fault for thinking they actually care about their customers? I should've known better to trust a used car dealershi
My family has bought few cars from this dealership but it was my first time getting a car. My sales person Cesar was really nice and I give him 5 stars! However the manager was very rude to me for just asking questions and my sales person recognize that! Afterwards when I went to finance guy John Pamroy, he was trying so hard to sell me protection services which I told him I am not interested in but in return after arguing for minutes he said "next time don't ask that many questions if you aren't going to purchase these options" I almost lost it after hearing this! He was so disrespectful! I would never come back here because of my experience and the only reason I am giving to 2 stars instead of 1 is because my sales person was really nice and understanding.
Great experience buying a car. Salesmen were very helpful, especially Oleksandr Dantsin & Michael Cannon. The finance guy (can't remember his name) was also very personable and made that part of the experience painless. No one was pushy and I feel like I got a good deal on my new car. Look into this dealership if you are looking to buy a car.
Andy Ly is the best service advisor I've ever worked with. He's honest and extremely informative. Regardless if I'm having problems with my Honda or even my non-Honda cars, he is reliable and helpful. Our last visit there my brother had an issue with his wheel. Andy honestly told us that it was beyond repair and the best thing to do was to replace it. He did not try to convince us to do unnecessary work on the car. I really appreciate all his hard work. will definitely continue to bring my cars to this Honda location and recommend Andy Ly and David Mcdavid to all my family and friends.
Love my Honda family! They are so pleasant and knowledgeable! They are are always quick to get my car in and find out what needs to be done. Thank you Honda of Frisco! Cynthia Johnson
David McDavid is the best Honda Dealership In DFW by far. Joe Robert is THE best. He is always helpful, keeps his promises, and delivers TOP customer service every time!
Efficient service. Went for airbag recall service. Dropped to work by courtesy van and picked by van later. Waiting area was busy with a lot of office goers making use of wifi, charging station and free beverages.
Today I had the pleasure to meet Oleksandr Dantsin, he's one of the best sales consultant I've ever met. He's energetic, helpful and he will rest until you find a car you absolutely want. So if your having issues with other dealerships I'm highly recommending you to stop by David Mcdavid honda in Frisco.
Editing my original review after a pleasant experience. They take customer care really seriously. Greg Gansle and Tom, thank you for your customer focus. Couldn't have expected any better!
I have never been treated so great with the customer service in my life. I forget the GM name but oh my goodness. I have purchased a vehicle twice an both times have been fantastic. Ali is wonderful he helped program everything in my vehicle took my picture for me next to my new vehicle. Oh an Ms. V at the front desk encouraged me so much. Great staff an the finance guys welcomed me like they were family to me. I love them an I will tell everybody. Great people working at David McDavid Frisco.
This is definitely our "go to" car dealer! James Brown has been great to work with and we've already seen some excellent results already with their service department. Highly recommend.
We just bought our 2015 Honda Elite and did the whole process over the phone in a matter of few days. Jeremy was out contact person. Everyone was honest, efficient, respectful, and fair. I highly recommend this dealership.
Buying the car was a good experience BUT everything that followed was not. Their front desk employees are worthless. Called to talk to service and she said "nobody's at their desk, they're all busy" so got voicemail but we needed to speak to somebody live. Then my wife asked her if she could find somebody and employee said "I don't know if I can find anybody". My wife said do I need to come down there to speak to somebody and the employee said "You can come down here and stand here until we find him". REALLY! I was there a couple weeks ago and asked to speak with somebody in the finance department and the front desk girl said "It may take a while they are really busy". Do you know how to spell unprofessional?? Wait she probably can't spell either. You know the saying, service is what sells the next car. You won't be selling another car to me.
Great experience. I could tell that my salesman, Zane, really wanted to help us get the best deal possible. He made everything efficient and helped us through the whole buying experience. Danny helped us in finance and did a great job, too.
I brought my vehicle in for a low tire pressure warning due to the weather being a little cooler and was greeted by a young man named C.J. Bartle. He was very polite and had a friendly smile. He took care of the problem and had me on the road again fast. I will definately ask for him when I come in next time.
What a great service experience I had with Greg von Readen at David McDavid Honda of Frisco. I took my car in on January 27, 2015, for a safety recall repair. Greg was friendly and gracious, and he was very understanding of my time constraints. While the recall repair was being accomplished, the service technician, Robert, discovered another problem. Greg and Robert both went above and beyond the expectation of the recall repair in that they diagnosed the complicating issue and located in-house the part required for the repair. Greg then got approval from his superior to repair the problem as a warranty add-on, so there was no cost to me. To top it all off, my car received a much-needed wash! I texted my husband from the parking lot that I felt just like a queen because of the outstanding service and respectful treatment I received. I would definitely return to McDavid Honda of Frisco for service and even a new car, when the time comes. I cannot recommend Greg, Robert, and the dealership highly enough!
Very good experience with the whole process to acquired a new Honda CR-V Thanks to James Brown, Mr. Scott and Mr. Shak from financial office All of you did a great job. Thank you all of you again
I have recently serviced my Pilot and Eric who serviced, to my surprise suddenly all the filters and fluids are dirty and I was recommended to change all of them resulting to $500 to $600.
They have charged $675 for prepaid service and they never found any problems not even needed to change the filter, the moment I crossed the millage suddenly many problems appeared. Until that time other than changing oil (3 times which costed me $675) there were no problems. but now I needed to flush, power steering , transmission flush, break fluid, tire rotation and alignment etc etc... Basically my 3 years old Pilot became a piece of junk with so many problems to fix.
In addition to that.
1. Last time when they serviced they missed some bolts to fix , I requested Eric to fix , he noted down, but did not fixed. 2. My Pilot tires worn out prematurely I have visited David McDavid for one week, no-one helped me, since it was unsafe to drive the car with worn out tires , I have changed them. They called me after that to visit them to talk to tire company.
Never buy a prepaid service from David McDavid it is mere waste.
A few days ago I bought a brand new 2018 Honda Civic here and it was the best experience I ve had buying a car. Angel Cerna was very kind and walked me through everything throughout the entire process. They went the extra mile to make sure everything was approved and ready to go! I felt like a priority and noticed the other customers around felt the same way as well.
Smiling and welcoming faces everywhere. Definitely will be back in a few years!
I went in this past weekend for a car I found online. I spoke with my salesman-Shoaib prior to coming and promised he would get me in the car I wanted with the down payment I had. Sometimes, I think this is a sales tactic just to get you in the store but he DELIVERED. He was very patient and not pressuring at all. Shoaib and his team made the entire process stress-free which is hard to come by these days! I d recommend this location to ANYONE on the market! I came out ON TOP with a very great deal and VERY NICE car.
I can't never go wrong coming to this Dealership. Matthew is always so kind and giving me the start treatment. He aims to keep his customers happy. I am no exception. When I picked up my car, he was gone to lunch and his back up was just as kind and nice as Matthew
I would like to suggest when washing a vehicle after service either use a spotless rinse or wipe it down to prevent spots especially when the vehicle come in clean and clear of water spots.
What can I say about David McDavid Honda other than I've bought two used cars from them. My most recent experience dealt with Keith Burr who was amazing. He was incredible with not only his customer service, but answering all my questions. This time around I bought a 2014 Honda Civic with under 25,000 miles on it to replace the 1998 Rav 4 I bought from them nine years ago and had put well over 80,000 miles on.
I will always recommend this dealership to anyone. They are my go to for my car buying and car maintenance needs
The car salesman actually came through on his part with the agreements that were made. The experience we had with the finance department was absolutely awful. Tiffany was very deceptive in her practices. First off she presented a warranty option and we declined, but then she went on to tell us the story about the consumer that declined the warranty and called the dealership shortly after purchase and they couldn t help him with his repairs, because he declined the warranty( which I later read doesn t work for 30 days or 1000 miles). I asked Tiffany if this warranty could be canceled and refunded if we changed our mind, once I had more time to consider . She said Yes . Tiffany then said she needed to go to see which financial institution was going to handle our loan. She came back and started giving my husband each page he needed to sign and I m trying to read over some of the details and noticed a ridiculous percentage rate. My husband stopped with the paperwork and said no thanks our bank will do much better than that based on the credit score. She asked us to hold on for one moment and came back with some lie saying they were going to pay the bank for us to have a lower interest(it was about half of what was originally presented). We should have walked out then, but we had already been there for hours. When my husband returned to the dealership to complete the form to cancel the warranty, to our surprise there were two warranties. One could be canceled, but the other one could not. When asked when was it mentioned that it was more than one warranty, we were told that they do that to help the client, because the bank will not finance if charge is listed separately. We asked why wouldn t they disclose that information and let the consumer decide. Remember, it was asked in the beginning if the warranty could be canceled and refunded. She never mentioned that one could, but the other was non refundable. Please take your time, don t sign anything before reading it yourself(do not let her sum up what each page means), because as the finance manager told me we are in business for profit . So, with that being said, they re looking out for themselves and that profit. Be careful or shop elsewhere based on a good referral.
I bought new cars multiple times over the period. This is my worst experience I have with this dealership. They put pressure on me to buy the car as they were claiming it was best deal. When I checked the car price online at home, and found that they sold me car on the market price. The purchase was done very late in the night. They could not detail the vehicle and add all season mat because every body was gone. I understood that, and I told them I would come next day evening to have the remaining work done. The next day when I went there, the sales person was gone. He totally forgot about the mats. Even he did not order the mats from parts.
These guys put urgency to purchase with 0 customer service.
Finance manager and sales associate were very nice and professional. They really heard and understood my needs and wants. They explained the best options available for me and my budget, and still managed to get me the vehicle I wanted. I love my Accord.
My experience of buying car here was excellent. Carl and Ed Nogar was very good and helpful throught sales. And sharouz was an excellent guy who helped me with the finance thing
The people there were extremely nice and available for any questions. They also have the newest models in stock including the type-r. Overall they were wonderful.
The service I got in next week of purchasing the accord, to install rear bumper applique was very good. Also they cleaned (only water wash) the vehicle and they buff some of the portions as committed by Sales Person during our email communication in next day of purchase. This is very impressive.
i made an appointment to have my oil changed and rotate my tires. the appointment was at 10:30 am i arrived at 10:25 am. my car was finally ready at 2:15 pm. i will never go back to you for service.
Great people with great service. Mr Zia Zaidi in sales was excellent. You can not ask for more. I am totally satisfied with their service. Thank You very much and love you guys. Thanks again for your hard work. The service center also provides the excellent service and also thanks to Mr. Devon for providing excellent service and his team.
Purchasing a vehicle here has been the most frustrating purchase I have ever done. The sales associates basically harass you until you purchase a vehicle. They give you a deal and once you're with the accountant they'll tell you a different price. Once I purchased my car, they gave it to me dirty, on the outside, it had some type of residue. They told me to come back later on the weekdays. I went back Monday and they gave me a loaner, cool... the next day I called back to check the status of my vehicle, they had no idea my car was even checked in. On Wendsday my sales associate finally reached me and told me that my car ended in the Irving location for detailed cleaning ( that was super sketchy) he guarentee me that I should have my car back either Friday or Saturday. I had the most trouble trying to reach him on both of those two days. I called him at least 8 times in those two days. It felt like he was ignoring my calls. Friends warned me about coming here, they suggested going to the one in Denton, I should have listen. Oh and to mention that my sales guy was super sketchy from the very beginning, dude was in the parking lot smoking a cigarette when we got there, he offered to help. It was very hard to understand him, he has a really thick accent and in the process, he asked me if I had history, I was like no, I've never purchased a car here, than he asked me if I had a green card. I guess he ment to say if I had a credit history, I didn't care but my girlfriend was offend he asked me such a question. Jokes on them though, the loaner that they gave me had only 33 miles , I told the guy that I drive a lot for my job and now the loaner is at 500 miles, I'm sure I just dropped the value of their 2017 Civic. (Yes I know the name of the sales guy, I dont wish for him to get fire, I just hope they get better)
Went in at 8pm and walked out with vehicle that night by midnight. First time buyer, everyone was very pleasant and helpful. They are willing to work with you and do what's best for you. Didn't have any issues and am a happy customer! David is also very quick to respond to my messages and has been checking in even after the purchase.
Had great buying experience with Aaron on the pre-Owned side of the house. He was a pleasure to deal with. Finance department was efficient with my purchase and went smoothly.
I was a little disappointed because their website said they had two 2016 white HR-Vs, but when I called to check, they didn't. Besides that, I had a good experience with David McDavid. I wasn't at the dealership any longer than I normally am. There weren't any hold-ups. I did have to get the tint redone because of some scratches, but I dropped my HR-V off at 7:00 a.m., by lunch it was finished.
C.J. is the best service advisor ever! He was able to get my Civic's air compressor fixed WAY cheaper than the Honda dealer down the street from us. We are happy to drive to Frisco to get maintenance done with David McDavid and C.J.
Daniel Duffy went above and beyond with the term customer service. He made sure that I was able to retrieve my belongings from my car after it was taken to the back. And he kept me informed of the status of the repair work . Daniel is a tremendous asset to your company in my book. Keep up the good work. Thank you again. Happy Holidays!
The service and maintenance of my vehicle at this facility has caused nothing but issues. Don't waste your time... I WILL NEVER PURCHASE ANOTHER HONDA ACCORD FROM DAVID MCDAVID! #my5th&theworse
Very straightforward process in asking for their best price and getting a response that beat the competition. No hesitation in putting that price in writing. Salesman Carl was very thorough and patient in taking time to explain the features and technology of the car to a non tech savvy customer. Would recommend to friends and family.
I just find it ridiculous that it takes over 2 hours for an oil change. I made an appointment today at 6:00 pm uts almost 8:00 I'm still here.....if I would have gotten an heads up I could have made the decision to stay or reschedule.
David McDavid Honda did an outstanding job with my last oil change. Tony told me it would be about 1.5 hours but it only took 1 hour. Our car was washed and Tony went over the inspection to let us know optional work that we should consider to keep our HRV running like new.
The buying process was comfortable and our sales rep, Samuel Anthony Salas, is a gentleman and is an example of what it means to be a Christian in the workplace. This is our second purchase at McDavid in Frisco and we will consider the dealership again for our next purchase.
This was a very easy and pleasant experience. This is was my first Honda and I am very pleased. I never felt pressured and feel that I paid a fair price. All the bells and whistles of the car were demonstrated to me and I am impressed with the quality of my new Honda. I've had the car four months now with no problems. My first road trip with it was a pleasure. I had been in negotiations with another local Honda dealer who tried to pressure me to buy his vehicle and I caught him being dishonest with me on two occasions. I will return to David Mcdavid Honda should I decide to buy another Honda.
I bought my first car on March 25, 2017 and I am definitely glad that I chose David McDavid Honda as my first stop. I was greeted by M. Masud who couldn t have been any nicer! He was very knowledgeable about each of the vehicles he showed to me. Not to mention he was patient and made the process easy and enjoyable. Masud, you are a pleasure to work with and I will highly recommend you to our friends and family. Also, a huge thank you to Joshua Gabbai on the Finance Team who was very organized, efficient and just made the entire process as easy as possible! I love my new Honda Accord Sport!
Back in 2014 I had brought in a used 2001 Honda Prelude to see what needed to be fixed (bought as-is on that same day from a small dealership). A close friend referred me to Andy Ly. Andy put forth exceptional customer service to get my Prelude running worry-free. He clearly stated what needed to be fixed in priority and down the line when asked for thoughts. Still runs, thanks.
I recently purchased a car from David McDavid Honda of Frisco about 2 months ago. The sales consultant that helped me is Jesse Thompson. He was very friendly, and he took the time and patience to help me get this car. If you are looking for a sales consultant, and you are looking forward to purchasing a car, I would refer you to Jesse Thompson at David McDavid Honda of Frisco.
Great experience in Service Dept, Tim.T took care of business. Need a service before my road trip, in and out in great time for a Friday night walk in. And of course the Odyssey ran like a champ.
My recent service experience at McDavid Honda was great--as usual! Much of this was thanks to Mike Hood. I find Mike to be a straightforward, no-nonsense kind of guy; he "says it like it is," and you can be sure what he says is good information. I have been going to McDavid for well over 10 years, and have been happy with all the service advisors. However, I would like to put Mike on notice that I will be requesting him specifically for future service needs! Nice job, Mike!
Feb 2017. I just had another flawless customer experience at Honda, courtesy of Mike Hood. Though he was juggling a lot of customers, I still felt he gave me all the attention I needed. He gave me a good deal on tires, completed other service work, and finished 10 minutes ahead of the promised time. Thanks, Mike!
I've had too many awful experiences with their service department. I won't be bringing my car back here for service or buying a new one here. They are simply here to rake in as much money as they can, and push aside fixing real issues. Also, don't bother making an appointment, as they are going to prioritize the cars that drive up first and bring the most service dollars. I see this happen every time I go in. Anything less than $100, prepare to wait 2-5 hours.
The David McDavid Honda of Frisco is truly one of the best dealerships in North Texas, I had an amazing experience as a first-time buyer with Mickey because he was very helpful and knowledgable and he provided a plethora of information to make our buying experience go as smooth as possible. He did an amazing job at answering any questions we had and was so genuine when guiding us through the car buying process! The dealership had very friendly staff and our finance manager Brian was incredibly helpful as well. Overall, I'd highly recommend this Honda dealership to anyone who is looking to buy a car in a timely manner because the staff is phenomenal!
Had a wonderful experience with Keith Burr when I purchased my car. I went in not knowing what I wanted and this was my first time buying a car. Keith made this stressful process so easy. I was so happy and grateful for Keith's patience and knowledge. I highly recommend Keith for any Honda buyer.
