Really poor customer service. The staff took extremely long time to return calls on a variety of issues. No one could take responsibility for any action (issues always had to be handled by someone else, who was not available).

I purchased a vehicle from this establishment during the purchase included in the purchase was a additional warranty. I was told that if I trade in the car for within the 5 year of purchase date I will get refund (prorated amount). I purchase the 2015 honda in June 2015 and I traded it in for 2015 honda accord in April 2018; well within 5 years. I went to David McDavid Honda of Frisco to request for my refund, the finance manager was not so happy about my cause of visit and told me its going to take 6 weeks. It's already over that. I still haven't received my refund. Fk'n thieves, a law suite is coming your way for breaching a contract.

We had been all over the Dallas area and finally decided to go to this one in Frisco. From the minute we arrived we were treated with courtesy and respect. Chad was excellent and did everything we asked. (and then some) Buying a used car was seriously never so easy! Our experience was great and we WILL be back in the future. Trust us when we say that most other dealerships cared only about what they cold get at the time....not this one. They really did care about making us happy and gaining a future repeat customer!
It was a good experience, but we assumed there were two keys to the vehicle and it wasn't disclosed, until we were signing papers that there was only one set. My husband has to have two sets of keys, so now we are out additional money to get a second set of keys.

Always greets me with a smile and communicates with me consistently when my car is being serviced! Before buying a Honda from David McDavid, I would take my car to any shop for oil changes, tires, etc. But now David McDavid Honda of Frisco is the only place I'll take my Honda Accord!!
Took my car in for Recall work and was informed or urgent repairs needed to my car which were all bogus except that my rotors are bad so Beware of the service Department and their 21 point inspection. I was informed that my Compliance bushings were torn in my control arms that I just recently replaced as well as busted motor mounts that are not busted. $276 to resurface cracked rotors that need replaced but no mention of the bad brake calipers that are causing the damage to the rotors, No mention of the belt tensioner pulley arm that was bad and causing issues! $2000 David McDavid Honda wants to charge to replace good parts! Curious how many people are getting ripped off. Get a 2nd opinion!
I have tried multiple times to get issue resolved, but adviser was not helpful. Th radio clock runs 4 min behind every few days to weeks and blur tooth is not working, i am not been able to get it fixed as your adviser states that he is not able ot reproduce delay in time. I had lot of difficulty getting hold of adviser to get update on my car, i was charged 33 dollars to get tire patched, this work is done for less than 10 dollars outside your shop
David McDavid Honda Frisco left the housing for my engine air filter unclipped and open. So the air being sucked in to the engine was not filtered. My wife drove it for about a month like this before we realized. Who knows how much grit was sucked into the engine while she drove it like this.
2016 - Excellent. If I want to buy car next time. I will definitely go back McDavid Honda. All the associate are friendly and helpful especially Dungi from sales team, James from finance team are very helpful.
This is my recent experience in Jan 2020 with McDavid. I felt they are trying to sell for high price for Honda CRV LEASE, so I end up getting the car at McKinney Honda and I had a good deal with them.

Bunch of liers. First of all, they didn't wash my car before closing the deal. The vehicle had many cosmetic problems that were not visible through all that dust sitting on there! Second, Bank approved me for 2.5%, but their financing Manager, David(Davod Bayat), lied and said they gave me 9.5%! He told me that if I buy a warranty from them and cancel it after two weeks, they will decrease my rate. Now i know that he was only thinking about his profit. The next day when I went in all by myself to fix this issue, he yelled at me, harassed, and abused me. I was so scared that I just signed the papers to get out of there. i visited many dealerships before, but this was my worst experience ever. Never revisiting them, and I don't recommend this dealership to anyone.
I had my 30k service done here. Dealership was immaculate and the customer waiting area was legit. Power plugs everywhere and they even had a huge tv setup where they had good movies on. Kelvin was absolutely fantastic. He helped with everything and even answered the weird first time car buyer questions I had for him. If they find something on your vehicle that could use some work, they notify you before doing anything. They even give you cost estimates so there are no surprises. Whatever you're paying Kelvin, it's not enough. I will definitely be back at this location and could not recommend it enough to people.

David McDavid Honda of Frisco is by far the most customer friendly and service-oriented automobile establishment I have ever experienced. From the moment I arrived to the moment I picked up my car, everything was done with the customer in mind. Even the shuttle service that David McDavid provides to customers to be able to go on to work after leaving their vehicles in their care outshines ride sharing services such as Uber and Lyft. Well done, David McDavid!

Coming in we did not have high expectations. The experience at Toyota and Chevy were pretty sub-par. Not awful; just below expectations. At McDavid Honda it was totally different. We worked with Scott who was extremely patient with us and the way we wanted to conduct our search. He followed up, but not in an annoying way where you get blown up. It was enough to stay in contact and have some questions we developed answered until we came back to make the purchase. Back in finance, Sharouz assisted us, and the experience in finance was different too. It was less about being sold something and more about him understanding what we needed and how it would benefit us based upon our plans with the vehicle. Needless to say, we took advantage of some products that will benefit us and how WE plan to use the car. LOVE our new 2018 Honda Accord and LOVE how we were treated during the purchase experience.
The service experience was good. When I look at what they offer the customers in the waiting area is lacking compared to other dealers.
The initial service advisor quoted one price, but when I arrived to pay, the price changed. The 2nd advisor honored the original quote. I've used David McDavid Honda service on all my vehicles for about 5 years and have found them to be fair and competitive to other local shops, but they will go above and beyond to make sure it's done right to earn your business.
They always take care of you! I ve been coming here s since 2007 and I have always made a deal with them! They are very patient and friendly and will find a way to get you approved!
My wife and I came in two weeks ago to look at a 2016 certified Honda HRV which had been advertised. It had been on the page for awhile. We agreed we would purchase nothing that day. We were pretty impressed with the car, and the price was good, though it had some scratches on the rear corner and other minor cosmetic issues which I thought might give room to wiggle on the price. It drove well and we decided to revisit it.
Yesterday, we looked on the website and saw that it was still there. I called the dealership, and spoke with salesman Shoaib Gauba. He confirmed my name and phone number and found in their records where I had driven that particular HRV. I asked if it was still available, my wife and I would like to come in about in. In fact, we were coming in to purchase it. We have cash in the bank, and outstanding credit even if we did not. He said to ask for him when we arrived, and after I told him that this would be 49 minutes, he sent a text.
We arrived, and he asked what we were interested in. By way of negotiation, I mentioned the minor cosmetic issues and the fact that the car had been on the lot for some weeks. He immediately tried to divert us to a black HRV which we had never heard of.
We said that we weren t interested in a black car in Texas we quite liked the blue one. He sighed and told us that another salesman was closing a deal on the HRV with another couple. He gestured to a nice couple speaking Arabic with a dealer.
I was put out. We had driven 49 miles one way, and called first, and he couldn t be bothered to check that the keys were checked out for a test ride?!?
He said that he had only found out five minutes before. And could he show us another car?
(No.)
I understand that ineptitude is a lot more likely than iniquity, something felt shady about this. Or at least inconsiderate.
He asked us to wait. We waited ten minutes.
The manager came out and said they had done nothing wrong.
So, you call and say that you re coming out to get a car that s been sitting on the car lot for weeks, and it sells before you can arrive.
Very well.
I hope that is the way that they can do business. They can continue doing business without my money.

My experience was ok, I arrived there and no one assisted me. I spoke to the receptionist and she made a call for me. After waiting 10 minutes, I was about to leave, but I gentleman walked in and the receptionist asked him to help me. I believe his name was Sam, he was nice and he referred me to Sam Feilds. Mr Fields show me a lot of cars and the pre owned certified cars were in damaging conditions, for example the exterior was damaged hinges hanging off the cars. when I foundly purchase my vehicle after they had meet there for almost eight hours because I am a good negotiator. I realize that trimming on the windshield was distorted. I also realized some of the tint was peeling off and the car wasnt detailed. They did give me a loaner and it took about three days for them to complete the repairs. The car looks brand new minus the detail which was a soft cleaning. I would like to say Li Shao was excellent she explained to me about what it really meant to have 12000 miles added to ur warranty. If you still have a warranty you do not get thst plus the 12000. Good to know. All in all, they did correct the issue and my car is perfect. I wish it was done right the first time. I got the interest rate I wanted and it is fully loaded with less miles. Read the carfax carefully I asked and they gave it to me it explains a lot.
Battery replaced, easy to schedule appointment, great new customer waiting area, responsive service mgmt.

If I could give this dealership 10 stars I would! Masud and Kenneth went above and beyond to put me in a great pre-owned car and I am extremely thankful for everything they did for me. Masud told me I would leave that day with a reliable vehicle fit for me and that's exactly what happened. Kenneth is incredible, he literally moved mountains to make sure I was taken care of and he answered any and every question I had. Excellent experience, had concerns waiting in the waiting area due to being high risk with the pandemic! I voiced it to my service advisor, because the waiting time was going to be over an hour! He assured me, that luckily with the new renovations, that there was plenty of wide open spaces with lots of different areas to sit! I had an appointment for an oil change at 10:00 am and another at 10:20 am. Both vehicles arrived before the scheduled times. After waiting for two hours neither service had been started. I ve been a loyal customer since moving to this area in 2010. I believe as of my experience yesterday I will no longer patronize this establishment.
This is the ideal shady used car dealership. Moe Montazeri (salesman) and Steven Elkins (Manager) should be ashamed of how they treated a customer. First of all, I don't usually leave reviews for anything, but I had to let other people know my experience here. I went in to buy a used Honda Odyssey and agreed to a trade in with them and had all of the details laid out for me. I told them I agreed to the price they laid out for me and would be back the next day to finalize the deal since it was getting late and I had my newborn and two other children with me. They assured me they would hold the car for me without a deposit since I was a "disabled veteran" and they knew they could "trust my word" that I would be back to purchase it. That actually made me feel good at the time but it was all just lip service. The next day early in the morning, I get a call from Moe saying he needed a deposit to hold the car and so I gave him a deposit, which was no big deal because I planned on purchasing the vehicle anyways. About an hour later I received a call saying that if I didnt get to the dealership to make the deal right away, they were going to sell the car to someone else. At that time I jump in my car and head to the dealership. Half way to the dealership (15 minutes away from my house) I get a call saying they sold it to someone else and they do not take deposits unless it is out of state. So they essentially created a new policy that morning or conveniently forgot about their policy so they could sell the car to someone else even though I put down a deposit on the car. These people don't honor their word and will say anything to make you feel good. Maybe it's my fault for thinking they actually care about their customers? I should've known better to trust a used car dealership...
I've been having really poor experience with my service. Specifically for my Honda Pilot 2019 (that i purchased here). I was told that a recall has been made on my vehicle, so i came with my car, and was told that fix can take at least 3hrs, but i won't get a loan car in the meantime (Which i don't understand, since this is a recall from manufacture), meaning i have to stay waiting 3hrs or more, or take a shuttle. I didn't want to wait the Shuttle cause i was with my baby daughter. So, i tried again Last Saturday, and again, same thing, no car loan...so i scheduled the service for TODAY at 09:30AM (I went personally and put my name and phone number in the loan car list that service agent gave me) with the commit of getting a loan vehicle so i can go back to work (Richardson), for my surprise, i was told today that i wasn't on the system, and won't get any car loan to go back to work. I do have a busy schedule as well, and you guys can't play with my time like this, i trusted you last year when i purchased 2 vehicles, so why the poor service now? This is a serious recall on my vehicle!
[UPDATE] I was given a loan car, since repair would take hours, and for my surprise i just saw a charge of $9.07 in my credit card. I returned the loan car with MORE gas than when i got it. What's going on here???

A good experience that could have been much worse. I brought my Ridgeline in for a routine oil change and to have the fuel pump looked at under recall. The wait for the recall work was longer than estimated, and after 1.5 hrs, Joe (service consultant) elected to skip the recall and send my truck to the oil change line. He was very sorry that I had to wait so long and offered a free truck detail on my next visit.

Buying a car is never simple, and it's never a one-day process. But McDavid Honda goes a long way when it comes to making things easier. I was helped by Mr. Anaas from their Sales team, who took the time and effort to get me a good deal on a brand new '17 Honda Accord, and then put me on to their Finance Team. Tammy Chan from Finance helped me sort out financing for my car and I was ready to drive out in a matter of a few hours. The experience has been very good, and needless to say, I already have and will be recommending David McDavid Honda to my friends and colleagues when they're looking at new cars!
Great service and great people. They strive to meet customer satisfaction. They always do their work as scheduled, and as promised. My only issue is the quality of Honda parts, which require frequent repairs or replacement, but have nothing to do with the dealer. The dealer's service is the best I have in the DFW area.
This is my first new car buying experience and I really enjoyed the whole process. This is because of James Brown!!! His pre-buying communication was top notch; he was very honest, courteous, kept his promise and he didn t make us feel tired like other dealers throughout the process. He valued our time and the whole process took under 2 hours.

I honestly feel 5 stars are not enough for the type of service David Mc David offered me and how smooth the entire experience was. I was very hesitant in purchasing my CRV from them as all my other Honda's I purchased from Lute Riley. But now I realized that I messed up. Going forward I will be getting all my Honda needs and car from Victor at David McDavid.
