The experience of buying a car at David McDavid Honda of Frisco was superb! We found what was available from a search of the home page and then contacted Aaron Koronkiewicz who took care of us from the moment we arrived at the dealership. He was patient and knowledgeable. Once we had made our choice of the 2013 Honda CRV EX-L, he took us on a tour of the stock to find the exact car we wanted. From there he got our radio stations programmed, detailed the car and facilitated our meeting with finance and then delivered our new car to us.
We found the atmosphere relaxing and comfortable. Most dealer waiting areas are as uncomfortable and intimidating as a doctor's waiting room with their uncomfortable rows of straight backed chairs. Not here, this is a family atmosphere with round tables and comfortable chairs. They serve popcorn and drinks. The day we were there they had hot dogs at lunch for all. Thank you Aaron and all the staff for helping my husband give me the best birthday gift ever!

This was my 2nd time taking the car in for an oil ...

This was my 2nd time taking the car in for an oil change. The check-in process always seems to be difficult, no clear indication of who to talk to when arriving. Once I found the guy to check me in, he said to stay at the car and he would get to me. He then checked in the 3 cars who arrived after me before finally finding his way to me. Car was ready about 3.5 hrs later. I doubt I will use this dealer for oil changes in the future, best to go to your local garage.

My advisor was pleasant and kept me informed about my car.

Still haven t received the service contract in the mail. Disappointed in the follow up. Salesperson was friendly and great but the dealership...disappointed.

Once again, a lack of communications in the service department. It was determined that our car needed to stay overnight for a part to be delivered, My wife told Gabrial that she had to pick up the car that day, because she had a DR appt the next day and did not have another car available. Gabrial told her, no problem, we'll have the shuttle pick you up at 11:15. 11:15 came and went, and no shuttle . She called, and was told, the shuttle will get there, when it gets there. It's not by appointment. (NOTE: Gabrial was very professional, personable and kept my wife up to date on this car, so the problems seemed out of his control). She gets to the dealer, and enters the service area, and no one there offers to help her find Gabrial or get her car. She's standing around, being ignored.while Gabrial was away from his desk. Fortunately she was able to make her 1pm dr appt (only a couple of miles away). Once again, not happy with the service from McDavid. This is the 2nd incident this year, and service is definitely on a downward trend.

I was really disappointed by my appointment today. I had taken appointment (X01JOMYW1J) for car service at 8:40 AM on July 14th and requested them check dashboard, breaks and also mentioned them complete on same day due to some reasons, but they called me at 5:00 pm (at end of the day) saying that we they are unable to complete today and Advisor was saying that they had 15 tech people, as it was Saturday they dont want to work and will give first presence to appointment vehicles .

they didn t even check i had appointment and gave me explanation for not completing the work. I needed all my car safety to be checked. They call me tell me that car s brakes are not working properly but they cant do it today because of other appointments. How will i dare to drive my car when i know that brakes are not working properly. And i have to go to san antonio on Monday. When i mentioned this, the advisor very conveniently said that i can give my car at san antonio honda center but cannot help me today only because i dint have appointment.

I am not happy with servicing, this is 2nd time i am facing problem here.

Strongly recommend the sales consultant Talal and James at McDavid Honda. They made the whole process stress-free and it was the easiest vehicle purchase I've ever experienced. Unlike other typical sales dealerships, they listened and recommended exact the types of the vehicle that I needed. Talal spent the prolong time to explaining all the features of the vehicle in detail also make sure I could able to operate every single feature. Also, the manager was excellent, efficient and made the process effortless. I m glad I went to McDavid dealership and we sure will come back.

Best car buying experience in 30 years of buying new cars. After purchasing our new Pilot we had and issue come up that really disappointed us in the new vehicle. David McDavid bought the vehicle back from us and put us in another new Pilot! When they say they care about having satisfied customers they mean it. They did not have to do what they did they did it because they wanted us to be happy with our new Pilot. I am now a David McDavid customer for life. Thank you Gary Abbe!

My sales person, Chad. Was unprofessional from the get go. Never at one point did I feel like a customer. He expressed to me that he didn t feel like being there. Maybe because I m young and felt like he could disrespect me. Not acceptable. Upon buying my vehicle I was being assisted by a finance person, who later passed us to Angel because he told him I requested to speak to someone who spoke Spanish?!! I never once asked that and felt discriminated upon. I did not want to cause a scene so I stood quiet. You can ask Angel who it was because I expressed my frustration to him. He sincerely apologized and took care of me all the way through. Very nice guy. I hope Honda fixes this issue because I am not happy at all. With deep respect I leave this review, and hope for someone to reach out and acknowledge my review.

This rating is for the service department only. All car sales people are the same and the finance people are even less unique or admirable.

The service people are the ones you have an ongoing relationship. We've been using the same service manager for a few years - Mike Myers. I've have found him to be honest and professional. While it's no secret the service managers make commissions from the money spent by customers, Mike has figured out that returning customers are more important than upselling and jacking up service tickets on every customer. He advises us on exactly what we need and alerts us to upcoming maintenance items. His pricing is straight forward and I don't feel like he's pushy or confrontational like other service managers I've encountered.

Richard "The Colonel" Spano took the time to understand my situation and then helped me find the perfect fit for my life and my budget. His non-pressure approach easily helped me fill comfortable and at peace with the decision that I had made. I expected the car buying process to be stressful and time consuming, but with what I was offered I simply could not walk away. I highly recommend this dealership for not only the quality of the products, but also the quality of the people you work with.

So this is my second review of David McDavid Honda of Frisco and this is primarily for their finance department. I had submitted a cancellation request of my GAP on 7/17/18 in person with their finance team. From there till now I have not received the money. I have tried to get in touch with their finance team both on phone and physically. But no luck. So I went and met their GM a week ago and she took note of the issue and promised me a call from their side on Monday(9/16/2019) which never happened. I will still keep trying to get my money back. Please be aware of their working style. And as I said this review is only for their finance team. I have had good experiences with their Sales and Service team thus far.

Stay away! At least until construction is done!! The traffic around the dealership is a mess. No one can tell where they need to go. You head down an aisle in the parking lot only to realize you are in a one way path to the service department.... which you don t want to be in and there s no where to turn around. This place is still in full blown construction phase and it s a mess.

We have serviced our 2011 odyssey at McDavid Frisco for many years.

Tyler is our third service advisor during that time. ALL of the advisors were top notch and communicated with us both efficiently and professionally.

Our most recent visit, Tyler took care of all of the details needed to complete the work needed and authorized. Additionally, he gave us a comprehensive list of future needs our vehicle will need to be worked on in the near future.

As a senior citizen, I appreciate the willingness to work with our budget and timeline to keep us safe an the car in good working order.

I made an appointment for 2:00 on a Saturday afternoon and it still took two hours to get my oil changed and tires rotated. I suppose that s not too long on a busy Saturday before Labor Day. All in all it was pleasant with hot dogs and snow cones being served while we waited.

My wife and I bought a 2013 Honda Odyssey with Serghei Medushevski at David McDavid Honda in Frisco. The sales experience was outstanding. I had my 2 year old daughter running around climbing on the cars and my 4 month ond son that wouldn't sit still; Serghei helped us through the whole process. He was patient and extremely knowledgeable with every detail of the car. I've bought a Nissan, Toyota, Acura, Lexus, and Mercedes, Serghei was the best salesperson I've ever had. I would higher recommend him to anyone interested in a Honda.

We had a great experience buying a new Honda Odyssey from this location. Our sales rep Mohammed Farshid was very knowledgeable about the vehicles and was patient and helpful throughout the process. The couple of times the deal came close to falling through, Mohammed kept the conversation going by being reasonable and pragmatic. The financing was finalized by Paul Nguyen who is easily one of the most straightforward people we have come across in a car dealership. He explained the available extended coverage options thoroughly but was never pushy or overbearing. It was a pleasure to work with Paul and Mohammed and I highly recommend them.

I bought my 2011 Honda Civic at a different dealership which is much closer to where I work and live. Regardless, each and every time that my vehicle needs service I schedule with these guys in Frisco. I tried to schedule with the local dealership once and had a bad experience. The next time I found these guys and haven't looked back.

Pros:
1) I always wait for service and the accommodations here are very good for a car dealership. Cable TV, computers, wifi, private areas for business or if you have kids, popcorn, water, coffee, clean restrooms.

2) I think I've had a different service adviser each time I've visited and they always explain exactly what is being done and why in addition to what I may need to look out for in the near future. I'm not a "car guy" so I hate it when it feels like a dealership or mechanic is keeping you in the dark. Equally as bad is if they realize you aren't a "car guy" and are condescending or rude. I've yet to experience either so I actually feel good about paying for the service instead of feeling ripped off.

Cons:
1) Far away from where I work and live.

In conclusion, give these guys a try. If you're like me you'll be pleasantly surprised and continue to come back every time you need service.

I won t recommend any there used car place. Unprofessional, very badly trained employees and more over they don t have time for there customers. Starting from the beginning I was there on second week of March to trade in my car and get a used car the person deal with me clearly did my credit run without telling me the paper that I was going to sign is for that and I said to his very precise that I am not getting car today unless the number comes good. He went and run my credit, and he said to me that they don t have much time because they get a lot of customer and he wasn t even looking at me and talking to me. He don t have no idea of what car he was showing me and the features of the car. That s Day I walked out after talking to the manager and the customer service line called me do a survey and I explain to his about my bad experience and they ask me go back in and they will make sure they will take care of me. Today I went there again sales rep was good but the general manager and his name is shakeel Ahamed OMG horrible customer service he need to get train how to talk to a customer he even made fun over me and he just was acting like I don t know nothin and he said to me that I need to take a decision when I walk in not waste the time of there employee for two to three hours. It didn t work out because they wasn t giving me a good number for my car and he even said to me that buying a car is not a big decision and I shouldn t take this long time. I said to him my first Honda that person spend more than 7 hours with me and he laugh at me and said bless his heart really so you guys think who all walk to the dealership comes in with a confirmation that I am going to buy your car only. I never recommend anyone to go and talk to that person he is the general manager of that place I feel sad for the employees.well it is done deal with Honda now.

I purchased a 2015 Accord back in July because I had just totaled my car. The sales team was extremely knowledgeable and patience helping me find a car I loved. I don't drive a lot so I finally had my first oil change a few days ago. While I was waiting for my car I was just walking around the showroom and the sales manager recognized me, remembered exactly what kind of vehicle I had bought and took the time to come talk to me and ensure I still loved the car. They are a huge dealership but they still make sure they know their customers and always go the extra mile to guarantee customer satisfaction.

We absolutely love this dealership! They are always helpful and go out of their way to make it as convenient as possible. We not only service our cars there, but it is the only place we buy our cars. We just took in our car for an oil change and a state inspection, however Greg Gansle (our service adviser) notified us that we also had a warranty recall on bearings and that our oxygen sensor was out. He provided us with a rental car while our Honda Pilot was being repaired. We were back in our Pilot in a blink! The experience was totally amazing! We highly recommend this dealership!!!!

When I called to make my appointment, I was told that the calendar was wide open so I chose 3:20 pm. I get there and I am told there is 1 hour and 45 minutes wait. I waited around and an hour later, another service writer contacts me (because Timmy left at 4 pm) an hour later and tells me that they can't expedite the oil change any faster and asked if I wanted to reschedule. Really??? I was there an hour already and do you really think a customer will reschedule? The worst part of this is that David McDavid Honda has started to shortchange your customers on the level of oil you put in your cars. The first time it happened was several years ago when at 40% to go (according to my gauge) to the next oil change, my car started to smell funny and then the red oil light kept coming on. My husband checked the oil level and there was none in there. Took it back and got the GM involved and she told me that there may be something wrong with my engine. I leave my car for half the day and they tell me they couldn't find anything wrong with my car - just that you all didn't put enough oil in. Since then, I have had to have each one of your service writer open my hood to show me where the oil level hits. You STILL can't get it right because your digital reader that states you are putting 4.5 quarts is INACCURATE. I had to tell the service guy to take my car back and top it off like any other places I would go to make sure the oil level is correct. I bought my car there and I will be purchasing another car - most likely in the next year. With all the hassle I've received, I don't think I would purchase another car or even refer you all to anyone I know.

If i could mark NO STARS I WOULD. Goodness where do i begin. I went in with my husband on July 4th and spoke to Jeff. I did let Jeff know right off the bat that we wouldn't be leaving with a car that day as my dad needed to co sign and he was out of town but coming back that weekend. I told Jeff what i was looking for and he said "that doesnt seem unreasonable i think we can work with you" Fast forward to that weekend and i bring my dad up there. Not only did Jeff come back with numbers 4 times what i was asking for. He continuously made fun of and bullied my father and said some veryy unprofessional things. Then at the end when we were about to walk out from being treated like DIRT and being provided with NOTHING we were looking for, the manager comes out and we let him know we were leaving because we didnt feel like they were being competitive. The Manager then made the smart comment that theres no one more competitive than him in the whole area. I got news for you Honda of Frisco. I drove 15 minutes up the street to McKinney and got what i asked for the first time around with a salesman that was professional and had no intensions of stringing me along. FRISCO WASTED A GRAND TOTAL OF 4 HOURS OF MY TIME and HARASSED AND BULLIED us. if you expect me to buy a car from you after being treated like this you have another thing coming. I will recommend to everyone i know NOT to go here if looking for a car and will tell my experience to everyone who asks me about my car. Pitiful. You should be ashamed of yourselves.

I went in for an oil change and left with a new car! I was in a lease and started asking questions about mileage overages. It made sense for me to just trade my car in now instead of waiting another 22 months. It didn t take long at all and Terrence was very helpful!

General Manager's response below is not what really happened. That is a dishonest comment. I had to cancel my order because this dealer changed T's and C's so much after I put a down payment. My credit card statement shows a down payment transaction date as of 5/30. The vehicle arrived after a few weeks in June. If there were changes in pricing due to tax credits during that period, they always could've called me before our visit. I did not refuse to purchase due to tax credit. I understand dealers play with tax credits every month. But they should not change total price after they received a down payment. That is so unethical. The finance guys was very rude and turned down all the service offers that were previously approved by sales managers.

Let me put it this way. this dealer complained below that they now have an extra vehicle in inventory. Well, I am comfortable to say that I can take and purchase the same lease deal anytime if they respect and do the same Terms and Conditions. I am talking about total lease amount, payment method, oil & car wash service offers that their sales managers first offered, which I did not even ask for it. Everything was fine until their finance team rejected all the offers on our last visit. I can publically commit to purchase this vehicle here but I know they cannot commit to respect T's & C's what they offered in the first place. Be careful. They will change conditions afterwards to make more money. This dealer can not stand behind what they say.

I had a fantastic salesman (Gary Abbe) who worked with me to come to an agreeable price, didn't bullshit me and took the time to explain everything. He also spent 2 weeks to find the exact car I wanted and had me in a very nice loaner in the meantime! The reason I am taking off 4 stars is because during the paperwork signing process, I was dealing with Joshua Gabbai, the Finance Manager, and he would not take no for an answer when I stated I did not want the extended warranty. Only reason I went for it is because of how bad he said the factory warranty was and that there were many items that could likely go wrong and would not be covered (I should have asked to speak to a manager at this point, who in their right mind spends so much time down talking a product that they are responsible for!?). I eventually gave in because he said it was fully refundable and also said that it was the only opportunity that I could ever purchase it (that was a blatant lie). He also told me that they would meet or beat any deal on extended warranties, even after the purchase (another blatant lie). During the conversation in which I was speaking to my bank, he kept trying to answer for me before I heard everything my bank was saying to me, I had to tell him to to stop answering for me, that I was a grown ass man and am perfectly capable of answering questions that are directed towards me. After doing some research I found several Honda dealerships online that sold the exact same Honda Care warranty for a fraction of the "amazing deal" that I received from Joshua Gabbai. When I went in to the dealership to cancel my extended warranty I told him that I found multiple places online that sold Honda Care for much less than what I was offered. He acted like he was surprised and then told me that he has had customers come in before because they found a better deal, but said that once you cancel an extended warranty contract you cannot buy another (another blatant lie). Then he told me that he would have to subtract $335 from it because in order to come to the price he originally offered me, he had to take $335 off of the price of my car. I asked him if that was even legal and as he started stuttering with a response, his boss (Tammy Chan) came in and pulled him out of the office. When he returned he apologized and didn't give me any more problems with my refund. I'm not sure if I would buy another car here or not, but I would never again sign a piece of paper that Joshua Gabbai put in front of me, he is a liar and a crook who will stop at nothing to rip you off!

Sam Saidan replied immediately informing the vehicle was available and at the price range quoted by Edmunds. My wife & drove to the dealership and found Sam professional, courtesy and extremely helpful. I was very happy with the Honda Accord, the price, the purchase process and especially with Sam!
He is truly an asset to McDavid Honda and your outstanding brand!!

Such great, knowledgeable salesmen. They answered each of our questions with authority and precision. Seek them out if you come here. The finance department was spectacular. Tammie Chan went over all our options and made good recommendations. You won't regret buying from David-McDavid. They also had great bar-b-que!

Utmost thanks, especially to Rusty who scheduled me for airbag recall service within minutes after my appointment with Autonation in Lewisville was such an epic fail! I had taken off work only to get to Autonation to be informed they were out of airbags...no one thought to call & let me know!? So David McDavid Honda of Frisco came to the rescue! Plus bonus, they have loaner service which Autonation doesn't offer. Thank you also to Sergio for handling my service, keeping me updated on my car and directing me to the loaner desk where I got a great ride. My car was completed timely and also got a complimentary wash. All in all, I had a great experience with David McDavid Honda of Frisco and I will definitely be driving the extra distance for such excellent service!

Bought a car with David McDavid Honda of Frisco about 2 weeks ago and the service was excellent - by far the best car dealership I've been to. My boyfriend and I were impressed with their customer service and it's really no wonder why they sell the most cars of any Honda dealership. Mark initially worked with us to find the right car and to stay within our budget. When we came back to actually purchase the car, he was in another deal but immediately another car salesman helped us out, following up on everything we started with Mark and the sales manager. Everyone was extremely friendly, professional and highly enjoyable to work with - even the paperwork process was a breeze, which is hard to say with car dealerships. Great service and will definitely recommend to others!

I was probably what you would consider a pain, bringing 4-5 cosmetic issues with the vehicle to their attention, and to their credit, they resolved all of them right away. They always made sure I was comfortable with the process, with none of the high-pressure tactics that I experienced at other dealerships. Also, I could tell the team here really cares about COVID-19 protocols and looking out for their customers. Lots of space, everyone respected rules on mask-wearing, and hand sanitizer on every table - again, a welcome difference vs. what I experienced at the 5 other dealerships I visited during this process.

We had seen a car that interested us, so we decided to go in on the weekend. When we go in, we were told that car had a "pricing error". Seems odd it could have an errors for days and not be fixed on their website, more likely it's how they get people in the door.

We purchased the vehicle on Saturday, but it wasn't going to be ready. We were told we could get it Monday, and then that changed to Tuesday. Despite not getting the vehicle that day and paying cash, we had to still meet with finance. We were told to wait, and that ended up being over an hour. We were given updates "Just 15 minutes" that weren't met.

When we met, I said I wanted my wife on the title. He said that she could come when we pick it up and get on the title that way. I said we would do that. We paid the deposit and he gives us the temporary tag. We mentioned again we don't have the car, so he tells us to give it to our rep. Since both of you work at the same place, maybe don't make the customer have to track down people and play mailman. Well, we have no clue where my rep was. We texted him, waited a bit and then left because we had waited so long. We got a text a little later, but we were already gone.

The car wasn't available Monday evening, so we had to pick it up Tuesday evening. When we brought the remainder balance on a check, the finance person was willing to just take it and let us go. I mentioned the title (because we rearranged our schedules to bring her there to get her on the title) and he said, "Well, I guess we could redo al the paperwork if that's what you want." Yes. That's why I explicitly mentioned it on Saturday. While filling out the paperwork, he left the fields of "Amount Owed" as $4,000+, despite the fact that he had our check now. So I corrected those fields before we signed. He then mentioned that we shouldn't be changing anything else on the paperwork. I pointed out that we weren't going to sign something that said we owed thousands when he had our check. He then said in a annoyed manner that "We put a copy of the check on this and photocopy and that's how we do it". But when we paid the deposit on Saturday, he updated the amount right away. He was also willing to let us go without giving us any receipt at all until we asked about the title.

When the heat got really high here in Texas, one of the tires gave out. Looking at the specs on the tire, it was actually not rated to the level that the vehicle required. I would think the dealer wouldn't sell a vehicle in this condition, but it did. Ended up purchasing a full new set of tires (that meet spec) shortly after buying the vehicle.

We waited and waited to get the license plates. I called and asked about a week before the temporary ones expired and they weren't in yet. I texted my rep who said he was going to check the next day. He never got back to me. So I had to have them check again on the day of expiration and they were there. So we had to make a special trip to pick them up.

I had originally submitted my feedback to them after we got the vehicle. I didn't use the "Post to Google" feature just yet, because I was going to see if a manager would get back to me. They didn't, so now that we finally have our plates, I'm posting the review publicly.

Overall, there's plenty of dealerships in the DFW area. There's no reason to go to McDavid.

Walked in with about 90 mins to kill, just to kick some tires on a few used cars before I went to a meeting. Immediately met with Magic Shalaby in the Pre-Owned section, and within 10 mins we were on a test-drive in an SUV. We went about 10 miles, then came back for a short test in a sedan. I really liked the first car, so I was allowed to take it to my meeting, then back towards Denton to have my wife take a look. I asked Magic a couple of questions, he got back with me immediately, and less than an hour later, I had a newer car with great MPG and all features required, AND my wife loves it, too!

I was blown away by the professionalism and efficiency in the entire operation, from the Pre-Owned Dept to Finance to Service. I recommend anyone to contact Magic Shalaby for your vehicle needs!

I bought my HONDA CR-V this week and I wanted to write my experience with the Mcdavid Honda Frisco dealership. I called Ed Nogar last week to understand the latest offers for CR-V, from then I felt like I've been treated very nicely. When we stopped at their dealership Ed Nogar be with us 3 hours and made the entire process very smooth and he took care of each process. He was very patient to understand our requirement and worked with his manager to get the best deal out for us. I wanted to appreciate Ed Nogar for explaining each and each every new feature in the vehicle and he made sure that during the test drive he explained every feature in detail and made me understand clearly, he helped me with all other process like finance and accessories. After 2 hours he handed over the keys to me and explained all the features one more time before I leave the dealership. This deal is your typical bait and switch. They give you one deal and then when you get in there the deal goes up. Our sales guy Chris was excellent however with that said the people he works for are absolute liars and have no concept of customer service. This would have been our third Honda lease but now we will never purchase a Honda again or work with this dealership again due to there dishonesty. Another Honda dealer was willing to do the same deal but was further away. We will be writing a personal letter to Honda Corporate in regards to this dealership.

I contacted David McDavid on yesterday August 17, 2018 regarding my desire to purchase their 2006 Dodge Dakota. The salesperson, Shakeel stated that he would check with the uses car manger about decreasing the price by $500 and would call me back immediately. After not receiving a phone call for 4 hours, I decided to contact Shakeel back to receive an update period at that time, I was informed that someone was at their location and currently test driving the vehicle. I stated that I was disappointed and hearing that information because I stated that I was purchasing that vehicle. I asked to speak with the used car manager there. I spoke with the uses car manger who corrected the information that Shakeel gave me ... he stated that the car was sold early in the morning. ???!! So, I called back and asked to speak with the GM: Sonia Heredia. I left a message but did not receive a returned call. I called back several hours later and explained to her what happened. She told me because she was with a customer that she would call me back. But I never received that phone call back. I later went back online to find out that that same vehicle was posted newly-listed at a higher price than it was currently advertised for. The price went from $5995 to $9,995. I have the posted pics of both price listings before and after my call... #BAIT&SWITCH
