the part was expensive for just a handle for a back seat 850 dollars for one part, diagnoitic for finding the problem was 135 dollars to find the problem, takes a hour and half for oil change and tire rotation for over 200 dollars is little high, when you send a email with coupon for oil change and tire rotation, told to come back at 700am, which i did the truck was, not vacumm,

My experience with the service department has always been excellent. In particular, Michael Brosnik did a great job managing things while our 2013 Odyssey had its engine rebuilt. If I could review the service department separately, it would get five stars.
Unfortunately, the sales and management team at Crown managed to turn a five-star experience into a zero-star experience.
When my two-year-old Odyssey broke down a couple weeks ago, I asked the sales team at Crown about exchanging it or getting some sort of roadside assistance coverage should it fail again. When I explained the situation, the salesman who sold me the van two years earlier actually laughed at me. I'm not sure why he found it funny that my wife, our toddler, our infant, and I were stranded on the side of I-85 at night in the rain... maybe I just don't have a good sense of humor. But I must not have been visibly upset at that point because he went on to accuse me of sabotaging my van before handing me his card and telling me to give him a call to talk about trade-in options. Down to 2.5 stars.
I now had two problems: a van that broke my trust and a salesperson who was not interested in taking responsibility for the situation. So I attempted to contact Crown Honda's general manager by email. A week later, after hearing nothing (not even an out-of-office reply), I contacted the Customer Relations Manager. He apologized for the behavior of the salesman, but instead of acknowledging the situation I was in and trying to help me resolve it, he immediately offered to sell me a new (or pre-owned!) van. Down to two stars.
After a few more emails where I felt like I was teaching the Customer Relations Manager how to manage customer relations, he finally acknowledged the fact that the Honda van in which I had placed my trust - and my family's well-being - had failed me. He offered to connect me with some other manager who could talk to me about roadside assistance coverage. Too little, too late, but I still needed some sort of safety net if the van fails again. Down to one star.
A man who referred to himself as a "Business Manager" left me a message last Thursday, so I called back and left him a message on Friday. I've heard nothing from him since then. Zero stars.
Smooth sailing. Brought the car in for oil/filter change and tire rotation. Went into the customer lounge with my iPad, free coffee and half a bagel and in no time the service was finished and the car was waiting for me. I did not buy my car at this dealership BUT always come back for my service here. Thanks Crown Honda.....
I just purchased a 2016 Honda Accord from Crown Honda. I worked with Shawn who was very pleasant and forthcoming with answers. He and Johnny (the finance person) went out of their way to help me. After we left the dealership, we ran into Shawn at a restaurant and I was so hungry, it took me a minute to figure out where I knew him from. He took that in stride as well! I have nothing bad to say about my experience there.
The employees are good, but the waiting time is too long. There is no matter if you have an appointment oh do not wait for an oil change is never less than 2 hours.
Hello, Gerald was fantastic. However, I was extremely disappointed in your office not enforcing the use of face masks. Several customers and employees did not have a mask on and they were interacting with others. Very unsafe and actually against the law during this pandemic. Based on this experience, I will not be returning.
Richard Powell was a great guy & he stayed in contact with me and made my car buying experience worth it. He didn t nag me to get a car and he also bought me a gatorade for my wait lol
Totally disappointed. I called 2 days in advance and explained I was bringing 01 Honda Accord in for driver's side airbag recall. I mentioned that both driver's side and passenger side were both covered with tape from previous owner. After taking vehicle to Crown Honda they also saw both compartments covered with tape which should have given them the knowledge to know that both bags had been deployed. I waited 2 hours in waiting area thinking bag was being replaced only to be notified after a 2 hour wait that recall wouldn't cover previous deployed bags. I feel that upon arriving and be checked in that technicians and ALL should have known and not kept me waiting for 2 hours
Daniel explained everything my vehicle needed so carefully when I took it in for a service. The service department fixed all the things I was concerned about, and I left in the cleanest van ever! Thanks Crown Honda!
We just bought our second vehicle from Crown Honda of Southpoint and had a very positive experience working with Shawn. After test driving the car, we communicated with Shawn via phone and text to agree on the price before we came back to actually purchase the car. They were happy to match a quote we had received via email from another dealership. The closing process was relatively quick and straightforward with no haggling or pressure to purchase add-on services. Great experience overall!
Called a week and a half ahead of time for a first appointment for passenger airbag recall on Honda Pilot. Asked what to expect and wasn't given specific time but "won't take long" given first appointment. When I showed up, service rep said it could take up to 3 hours. Upset me, I would have found a way to drop it off if I had known that. But it was all good in the end, took only 35 minutes to be given my keys and job done. So no idea why I was told 3 hours. Had that not happened this would have been a perfect experience.
I would have given a 5 but the appointment system is a little misleading. Made an appointment for 8 pm for a basic oil change and wasn t out the door until 10:15. Service person said it was an appointment to only check- in which doesn t make sense since I waited my turn behind 3 other cars. I do appreciate the evening service.
Kenneth B did an excellent job handling the service for my CR-V! In addition to the oil change and tire rotation, he took care of the state inspection and updated the software for a transmission issue. To top that off, he helped arrange transportation to and from my home while the car was being serviced. I bought my car at Crown and will continue to take it there for excellent service.
I am having very bad/worst experience with this show room
I have dropped my car as my a/c is not working properly , which I raised this issue in my previous service in this show room they didn t do it properly. So I have booked appointment for it yesterday and was promised that my car will be delivered by end of day , where they didn t and they called me that they will deliver next day.
They even didn t tell the estimated timing of delivery. As part of transportation for my daily activities I am getting screwed. I have called them from morning so many times where I didn t any response on my car service and at around 1 PM they said my car is ready ,here the shuttle service I booked also sucked .
So I took a ride to there and when I asked about my car they said it s not ready and they don t know anything about it .
It is all waste of my time and making to wait for update in show room skipping my work and activities
I recently purchased a 2013 Accord from Southpoint Honda and Giovanni made the entire process an easy transition. He not only worked to have the car expedited for delivery but also scheduling the follow up appt. to have the accessories installed all while working around my schedule. I will definitely recommend Southpoint Honda to anyone looking to purchase a car because you can't find better quality in a car and the customer service at Southpoint Honda far exceeds any other local dealership.
Folks were friendly, but I dropped my car off first thing in the morning for an oil change and it took all day...guess thats the price you have to pay for going to an actual dealership. I'll probably check out another place next time.
I scheduled an appointment for oil change, inspection and recall service over the phone and advised I would be waiting while the service was completed. The appointment was for 9:30 a.m. and I arrived at 9:25. I was informed that the service would take 2 - 2.5 hours (I wasn t told that on the phone). After about 10 minutes I decided to get a ride home instead of waiting. I informed the service tech that I was leaving (big mistake!!). 4 hours later I decided to go ahead back over because surely they were done. Arrived back at 1:30 p.m. only to find they hadn t even started service on my vehicle!! Finally got my vehicle at 3:30 p.m. (6 hours later) The cherry on top of this experience was they did not wash my vehicle as is promised for free with every service visit . This was my very first service visit so the future does not look good!!
check in system is terrible, you book a appointment but NOBODY acknowledge you upon arrival so you wait and wait and wait maybe between 10-15-20 minutes then someone will say "can I help?" Had a 8am appointment for oil change was there almost three hours
I was hesitant to return to Crown because of a glitch with their service department years ago, but I'm really glad that I did. They were willing to work with us on price, very courteous and professional.
Returned for service six months later. Very professional and courteous service completed within the time frame I was given. Will be back for future service.
Great service and knowledgeable staff. Wait time is what seems to be my only gripe. I live in Raleigh so it becomes a hassle to leave it and come back.
I went in this morning to get a key replacement and program. There is no way I should ve been sitting in there over 2 1/2 plus hours for this. The customers service rep was rude he didn t keep me informed about what was going on with my vehicle or even say why it was taken so long. I wouldn t recommend anyone to this Honda dealership.
Service is very bad. Went to crown for oil change. Honda Tech didn t double check everything before giving back the car. I drove it for 10 miles car sound odd, smoke coming out of hood and inside the car smell like oil. Checked under hood Honda tech didn t put the oil cap back. Oil is everywhere on engine, starter, pully, belt , manifold and radiator. Called crown honda few time nobody answer. Took car back. Show them the problem. Crown honda put new cap and washed the engine bay. But they didn t do good job to wash engine bay . Still Oil burning on exhaust manifold create smoke . Inside the car still smell like burn oil. Need to get car detail ,cabin filter changed, belt changed and don t know how good will be alternator after oil went in. Which crown honda didn t do it. Asked service rep how many miles to drive till next oil change . His answer was 5k miles. Showed him why they put sticker inside windshield that show next oil change after 30k miles. It s not the first time. Last oil change they put wrong miles on invoice and sticker. Which affect carfax history and got email from carfax about miles not matching with service records. In future will take my business somewhere else and let know all my friends that have honda be careful to take car here.
I've been taking my cars to be serviced here for the past 10+ years. I have spent thousands of dollars and countless hours. Until recently, I have always had great service. However, after my most recent experience, I will not be going back. I waited for 5 hours to have my door lock fixed. I was there until half an hour after the service department closed and I was the absolute last customer to check out. I had questions about whether my 2010 Civic's door lock actually needed to be replaced due to normal wear and tear (after 3+ years and approx 30kmiles) and the service tech did not address my concerns and instead blew off my questions and looked at me like I was an idiot. After I left I noticed that the door handle had not been put back on properly, but because the department was closed, I was unable to get in touch with anyone that day. I returned the next day and was there 45 minutes before the place opened to make sure I got in line early. I STILL had to wait an additional five hours...to have the previous day's job finished! It cost me $288 and I wasted most of my weekend hanging out at Crown. Before I left on the second day, I asked to speak to a manager about a refund. The person in charge that day had neither the authority to issue a refund, nor the people skills required to make an unhappy customer less angry about her experience. I left my number and was told that the service department manager would be in touch with me the next day. I was extremely angry. The only redeeming thing was the very sweet service bay tech who walked out to my car on the second day to make sure it was fixed. He apologized and reassured me that the department manager would call me ASAP. After playing phone tag with the department manager for several days, I finally just gave up trying to get a refund. At the very LEAST I should have been given a coupon for a free oil change. So disgusted with my experience and I will NOT be going back. They lost a very loyal customer.
James Park was an AMAZING salesman. He listened to what I wanted to pay and which car I wanted and made sure that everything was matched properly. He was patient with my purchasing process and explained everything with me so that I understood what I was signing on and what I was entitled to after purchase.
I had a terrible experience. I was told my wait would be three hours which turned into six hours. Wasn t until I asked for my car even if the oil change had not been done. That my car was magically finished and ready for me. But the last straw was the fact that while the car was in their service center 30 dollars was stole from my glove department. And once I was able to contact the manager he told me that his employees do not steal. Yet my money is gone. And it s not about the money it s about the service makes me upset. I m not someone looking for a hand out. The money isn t the issue it s that my time and property was stolen. And the manager response is I ll handle it and my staff does not steal. I ve been a Honda customers for 15 years and this has change my mind going forward.
This is now my third Honda and I have never had any problems when I go to crown Honda of south point. Great staff and customer service is something that I have found is at home at this dealership. Good pricing, quality service, and good people.
Had to drive to the dealership for service (that was promised when I purchased the car) twice for the same maintenance for them to tell me the first time they didnt' have the oil, and the second time they got it on the lift and didn't have the correct tool. Now they have recommended taking it to another dealer after driving 30 minutes multiple times to get there and sitting in a waiting room for hours. Go elsewhere! Very incompetent and uncommunicative and they never even apologized.
good job well done you do not need to have surveys, you just need to listen to complaints. If there are any? I have nothing to complain about with my time at your place everything was professional.
Ahmad and Jose's professionalism made it so easy to work with them. These 2 guys helped me pick out exactly what I needed in a matter of minutes. Thanks for everything guys!
On Monday morning I called to see about the first service for my Honda Pilot. I was told I could bring it in that morning and service would take about an hour...Score! My first service was free....Score! Josh spoke to me, gave me his card, and assured me it would take about an hour...Nice, prompt & friendly reception. In 65 minutes my car was finished, oil and filter changed, multi point inspection, tires rotated, they marked the service in the book and I was on my way. It was REALLY nice, prompt & very convenient. I am so happy with everything about this car buying/service experience. I am now pretty much Honda convert and I really like the dealership. This may be the very first time I've ever said that I like a dealership.
A tree fell on my car in January of this year, so I had been looking for a while. After going to several dealerships and not liking what I was hearing, I decided to go back where I got my first Honda. My salesman Oliver G was both courteous and professional and after all my questions I finally purchased my new CRV from Southpoint dealership.
Thanks Southpoint for once again, for helping me get my CRV.
We recently moved to Durham from out of state. Our experience with Crown Honda as first time customers was superior. The service person really went out of his way to make our first visit very positive.
In the last two months we have purchased a 2011 Honda Accord for my husband and leased a 2014 Honda Civic for our daughter. We have now purchased a total of 5 Hondas from Crown Honda. Daniel McGreal was the salesperson for our recent sales - he was prompt in responding to questions. He is very efficient and helpful in educating us about what we need to know to make these purchases and lease. I echo other reviews--the service department is superb as well - the flexible hours and shuttle to Southpoint Mall cause service appointments to be very convenient. Five Stars to Southpoint Honda and Daniel McGreal!
Billy was my service advisor. He was great! He explained exactly what work would be done and answered all my questions. Was in for oil change and tire rotation (plus multi-point inspection) and was in and out in about 1 hour. An hour may seem a little long for an oil change and rotation but for me a little extra time is worth having a certified Honda tech working on my vehicles.
I usually have a great experience when I expect my service to take a while and I go to the mall. However, this time I had a nail in a tire (which I didn t know) and the dealership removed the nail before asking me what I wanted to do. Thought that was a little unethical. Also, the issue wasn t fully fixed and I had to return the next day without an appointment.
The slowest service reception I ve ever experienced. It s taken 30+ minutes to even be greeted when checking in for a service appointment. There are too many service alternatives around to go to a dealership and experience such slow service. Won t return.
My wife had an 11 am appointment. We got there at 11 and it took us a half hour to drop her car off because of the line of cars. If they were not able to take so many cars when they opened they should have staggered appointments.
Exceptional customer service does not accurately describe how I was treated at Crown Honda since the service that I received far surpasses that of five stars. A while ago, I lost my car and had no means of transportation - Tim, one of the dealers, went out of his way to pick me up and drop me off home to and from the car dealership, yet he still did more for me.
Tim always kept me in the back on my mind and when a car that fit my needs came through the shop, he called me up and said that I would just fall in love with this car and he was right. I am now the proud owner of a 2007 Honda Accord with the help of the immaculate service provided by Crown Honda of Southpoint.
I brought my 2018 Ridgeline in for a transmission leak near the front. I was greeted promptly, the service advisor listened to my concerns, and they had my truck done in less than two hours. Overall, a positive experience.
I just bought a used civic from Crown and my sales man Roman Gavilan was so knowledgeable and able to explain all the features patiently, courteously and with a little humour, The whole buying experience was very good and easy and if I do it again I will return to Crown and hope Roman or even Sean will be there to help. It's a great place to buy a car with every one being so polite and with such a good atmosphere so from one very satisfied customer. Thanks
We had an amazing experience here. Our salesperson Mike Brandenham took us on an amazing first test drive where he showed us step by step how to use different features of the car in ways that were simple to understand. He then sat down with us to answer all of our questions and even compare other cars we told him we were looking at to the Honda in terms of safety ratings and features. When we told him that we were looking at three cars at the time and trying to choose, he did not try to pressure us into going with them or scare us away from the other cars. Finally, after we did actually buy the car, he sat down in the car with a feature worksheet and showed is how to customize the home screen and radio and even set up our phones with android auto and apple airplay on the system. All in all, great experience you should definitely come here if considering a Honda.
Beware taking your car for service to Crown Honda of Southpoint. My car is less than two years old but because they have it listed as a maintenance free battery and my car is just under 400 miles out of warranty, they won t replace the battery even though they should have been inspecting it with every service. They d rather charge me to diagnose the issue and for a replacement than keep me as a customer.
I have been a customer here for about five years, and in that time this is the second car and the second battery this has happened with. The first time after being constantly forwarded to voicemail and never contacted, I gave up and bought a new battery for my previous vehicle from another auto shop, figuring it must just be a fluke. After this, I m never coming back.
And this is also completely disregarding the fact that if you come in here for an oil change, you d better plan your entire day around it. The last time I was here for an oil change I was waiting for two hours.
Today when I tried to get them to help me, the entire staff was rude. I m a pretty mild guy and I always try to give people respect, but when they clearly don t care to own up to an issue, then I have to throw up my hands and walk away. Just because of a technicality in the phrasing of their service. It s very disappointing and I doubt that losing one person as a customer will hurt them, but I still need to put this experience into words.
Worst dealership service experience in my life! Dropped my van off first thing in the morning for recall work and because the key was sticking in the driver door lock. Nobody looked at it for 8 hours. Was then told that it needed a new tumbler for about $400 (yikes!) so I said I would pass on that, and they tried to tell me that the driver's door was the only method to unlock the van with a key - so I'd be taking a real risk by not fixing it. (What about the key holes on the passenger door and the hatch?!) They then left me voicemail messages late at night indicating I needed new pads on front brakes. Good catch, except that two different people left me messages, and they quoted me two DIFFERENT prices for the work -- 50 bucks apart. I'm sitting here the next morning waiting for the "courtesy" shuttle to come back and get me because my rep did not add me to the driver's pick up list like he said he would. I will pick up my van and take it elsewhere for brake work. This place is HORRIBLE.
I came to this location to discuss options for my current lease, which is ending soon, whether to trade in for another lease or buy out my current car. Shawn was absolutely wonderful and personable, making sure to ask pertinent questions about what I needed. He was very transparent and appeared to be on the lookout for the best option for me. And then came the "bad cop" by the name of Johnny who was examining my credit and offering financing options. I am a young woman planning to finance the car myself, and gather all the information I need to receive the best possible value. I found Johnny to be very disrespectful and pushy. I sat waiting 30 minutes at a time for him to go back to his office to "run some numbers" only to come out and talk with me for 10 seconds in a rushed manner. If his tactic is to make customers feel as if they are a waste of his time, he succeeded. I will be taking my business elsewhere, where I can be treated like a human being.
My car was well taken care of at Crown Honda of Southpoint and it has been for over 14 years. Thank you Crown Honda! November 2020, Joe Defrancesco is an excellent service advisor! He took care of my car and charged a fair price. He is great to work with! July 2019 - Chris Toth is an excellent service advisor. He listened to my concerns and took good care of my car.
I had difficulty using the online sign in for a service request - I used the online system but my appointment was not posted for some strange reason and I never got a confirmation. So I called Josh Herald and he graciously scheduled the appointment for me. When my appointment time came, he met me and understood what I wanted done and he 'supervised' to work in a most timely fashion (a service which I had not received at some other area dealers). One of the reasons I drive some 30 miles one way to have our car serviced at Crown in Durham is the service I receive from Josh - from my perspective I'll deal with Josh as long as he is there and we have the Accord! Great Job again, Josh!
Worst service department I've ever experienced. I have Honda CR-V 2013, but incredibly disappointed over the past 3 years with the service department's false promises and overall lack of customer service. If a business sells you a car NEW CAR you should not experience all the trouble and drama I've trough, they should actually be able to provide everything you paid for and more, without having to wait 5 hours or longer for service. I'll never buy another car from CROWN HONDA of south point.
They have been really awesome to me, especially Kenneth burton! Definitely makes us feel like a valued customer! I will drive 40 minutes to this dealer instead of the one right by my house because everyone is polite and actually really knowledgeable! Thank you guys again!
Recently purchased a certified pre-owned car from this location. Ramon was absolutely FANTASTIC. My wife and I walked in the door not knowing what to expect (this was our first car purchase), and Ramon instantly made sure we felt at home. He was very up front about everything, and did not attempt to sell us something we didn't want. We left the dealership feeling GREAT about our purchase. I can't praise this guy enough. He went out of his way to make sure that we were completely taken care of, even setting my wife and I up with a great car insurance rate, despite our lack of coverage in the past. All I had to do was give him my information and he handled everything else. Not only did I leave the dealership with an excellent car that I will be driving for years, I left with the peace of mind that I made a good choice, thanks to Ramon. Amazing experience, 10/10.
Went in on a Saturday morning for regular maintenance for my car. As always, the service rep was friendly and professional. Everything was explained clearly and the quote was pretty accurate. The only bad part was the extremely long wait. It was very busy and even at 7:45 am, there was already a long line. My service rep apologized for the wait and explained there was only a skeleton crew that day. Needless to say, it was several hours before my car was returned back to me. Hopefully wait times will improve when their new service center opens.
Terrible experience. Told one hour wait for oil change and upon arrival, informed it would be three hours. Didn t have flexibility to wait that long. Kindly told to make another appointment and would receive $10 off. At second appointment, no record of $10 off and incorrect oil used (regular / not synthetic) wanting synthetic to have less # times oil needs to be changed - less waiting whole goal! Charged full price, for incorrect oil, and one needless trip at the expense of my time. Love Honda! Element excellent. Ready to buy a new Honda. Can t imagine buying from this dealership where they treat people like you are a #. Buyer beware at Crown Honda @ Southpoint
I have had generally very good luck with Crown, having owned two Honda Odysseys for 14 and 5 years. My older one, which I have always serviced regularly, is going strong at nearly 200k miles. My 5 year old van has over 100k on it now and is great. I do believe that the service department is overworked or understaffed or something, but occasional holdups have not been a big issue for me. I never expect them to have the car back too quickly, since I want them to have the time to do the job correctly. Appreciate the shuttle service and the courtesy of the staff.
