I recently purchased a brand new car from Crown Honda in Durham. It was the first time I had ever bought a car from a dealership so I had some trepidation going in. Oliver George was my salesman and I could not have asked for a better person to guide me through the process. He worked with me in finding the correct vehicle AND in getting the price to fit my budget.

Why do you offer "reservations"? You should split your check-in lanes so one is for "reservations" and the other for "drive ups". We spent 1/2 hour dropping off our car when we had made an appointment.

We received a call when our car was "ready". After we arrived to pick up our car we had to wait 1/2 hour (again) while the car was given a "complimentary cleaning". It's nice Crown cleaned our car but we should NOT have been told the car was ready for pickup until AFTER that cleaning was complete.

Very dissatisfied, I Took my Honda Accord for air bag recall and guess what, they uninstalled the glove box to get to the passenger air bag, when they finished they left the glove box uninstalled just stuck in to make it look like it was installed properly. This is the second bad experience I have with large brand dealership service shops, they are not so professional like they make it look like. Be careful and take the time to inspect your vehicle before you walk out otherwise you will end up like me.

I'd like to say that Vladimir's customer service o...

I'd like to say that Vladimir's customer service on my recent trip (11/22/16) went above and beyond my expectations. I'm a very detailed customer and noticed that the differential fluid on my paperwork was a different type that what the manufacturer had recommended.

It turns out that the dealership's software was calling for the wrong fluid, but the Service Tech who did the actual oil changed noticed our 2016 Pilot changed diff oil fluid types from the 2015 model, caught it and put in the correct oil. Vladimir was able to work with the Parts Dept and service Tech to confirm everything so we didn't have to flush and re-fill. Vladimir was awesome here. I still hope it got the right fluid!

Next I asked to have our 'weather protection package' re-applied inside and out, including the leather treatment. I noted that I wanted to have all three rows of leather seats cleaned and protected, knowing there was a small spill on the third row seat that I would have had to climb back to get to. He added very detailed notes in the write-up to the detail shop. The car came back and they only cleaned/treated the front row seats. Nothing in the back two rows had been touched - taking short cuts. I noticed the third row spill was still there and the 2nd row hadn't been protected either.

Vladimir apologized and sent it back to the detail area to have it corrected. His attitude was great during all of this too. I could have seen myself being frustrated if I was in his shoes in this situation because he really couldn't control what happened - it wasn't his fault - but he was super cool and took care of each concern quickly and in a very professional manner. I left very impressed, despite the inconvenience of the additional wait.

I brought my 2015 Honda Pilot in for service today 6/25/20. Gerald my service technician was amazing, so friendly so helpful from my arrival to my send off. He made sure he arrange for Lawrence the best to shuttle driver they have there to shuttle me back to work and Lawrence even went out of his way to come and picked me up. Lawrence and Gerald were so nice and made sure that my experience today was stress free!!!! From the bottom of my heart thank you guys so much for all of your help today!!!! Best service EVER!!!!!

Not happy with my experience today. I m still not sure why I was advised to change my brake fluid again after it was changed almost same time last year. Unfortunately I already approved the service before I realized it s only a year ago that this fluid was changed. I did not really understand or satisfied with the answer I got after I questioned it. I later discovered that Honda s recommendation is about every 40,000 miles.
This creates lots of doubt in the services that I have been paying for at Crown Honda.

Oil change, inspection, tire rotation and alignment. The work was good but it took more than 4 hours, even though I had an appointment. The service area was overburdened with cars and outdated computer technology. I was charged for 45 minutes of labor, which was appropriate. Agency management needs to do better. The service manager assigned for this visit was great, he went out of his way to make this experience as good as possible. The problems were caused by agency management.

I was car shopping for a while and it was quite a struggle with dealerships, but my experience with the sales rep Oliver at Crown Honda was low stress, smooth, and respectful. We worked together to make a good deal for everybody and he never hesitated to answer my questions or provide info. This was definitely a dealership you should give a chance.

Excellent experience! Walter Sturdivant was excellent in all aspects. He was patient, very knowledgeable and provided a thorough explanation about the product. He also exhibited a great deal of professionalism. I would not hesitate to refer a friend or family member to Durham Crown Honda.

The service is slow. It took almost 20 minutes before someone took the keys of my car for an oil change. An oil change with tire rotation took nearly 1.5 hours!!

With coupons the overall cost is quite less compared to other dealers in the area.

I have lived in North Carolina for two years and nine months now and have purchased two Honda Pilot Touring SUV's from Crown Honda, specifically with Oliver George as my sales person. I have bought new vehicles every two years for the last thirty five years of my life and some of those experiences were painful at best and arduous at the worst.

I have never had those experiences at Crown Honda because of Oliver George. He has a simple and good professional demeanor and great procedure for selling vehicles to his customers. He shows you vehicles you expressed an interested in, tells you their good points and bad if any, gets your vehicle trade in priced for trade in if you are trading a vehicle in and then subtracts that price from what the new vehicle will cost by showing you based on Edmund's what the dealer paid and what you will pay. It is that simple! He will also get the vehicle you want if crown doesn't have the exactly equipped vehicle you want!

Finally, he also follows through after the sale when you have had it couple of weeks to make sure you are not having any problems with it! He makes my purchase experiences easy and enjoyable with absolutely no angst!

Leased a car through them. Went in to buy out the lease. The receptionist was rude (we'll see if we can fit you in). I could tell this wasn't going to go well. The wait was over 3 hours. They kept telling us contradictory information. I had called Honda lease prior so I knew what was required. Would not buy a car from them again. Two stars just because the initial lease process was ok.

Addendum: ended up going through my bank because it was significantly cheaper. This isn't Southpoint's fault but is more of a honda issue. They indicated they'd need to charge me like $1k because they needed to buy it back and then resell it to me. Instead I went to the bank and saved a grand.

I bought my Nissan from crown Nissan in Greensboro and got a coupon book for about 2 years worth of oil changes that I could use at any crown and in the whole two years it has taken no less than three hours for me to get my car back. This last time was the worst it took over four hours to get the call my car was done. Then when I get there he said we need to run it through the car wash. So it wasn't done. They have usually been nice in the service dept but it takes forever for an oil change.

My 2015 Honda Fit started to stall out while driving. It acted as if it ran out of fuel. This problem was very random and dangerous.

I took the car to Honda of Southpoint and paid 135$ for them to diagnose the problem. Their diagnosis was that it's likely one or both of the fuel pumps. No real explaination about why or what's going on with the car. So now I basically have to pay to roll the dice and hope it fixes the car. What a waste of 135$ for diagnosis.

Instead I took the car to Auto Logic in Carrboro who I paid to do another diagnosis. They bought a HONDA SPECIFIC fuel pressure tool and tapped into my system and figured out it was the low pressure fuel pump that was off by about 20 PSI. They purchased the fuel pump module FROM Crown Honda and fixed my car. It's been running good ever since.

I am amazed that Crown Honda didn't have or order this tool to diagnose my car. They would rather give me a huge quote for them to guess at which fuel pump it could be. It's not good that another shop has better service with the exact tools and parts that Honda of Southpoint has access to.

I am also let down by how poorly my 2015 Honda Fit is made. This car has had so many issues that are all based around poor design choices. Variable Transmissions and Direct Fuel Injection are not reliable technologies. Honda shouldn't ruin its name with this stuff.

One of the most pleasant experiences I've had at an automobile dealer. My salesperson, Tim Kirkpatrick, was knowledgeable, friendly, and efficient. He did not try to sell me any accessories I didn't want, and he answered all my questions quickly and accurately--no "visits" with sales managers or any other time-wasting silliness. Also impressive with her professionalism, friendliness, and efficiency was Michelle Brown who handled the paperwork for my purchase. I have bought many cars and trucks over the years, and my opinion of Crown Honda ranks with the highest opinions I have of automobile dealers, and I would recommend them to anyone interested in a Honda.

Absolutely the best service you can ever get for your car. Professionalism, appreciation, and friendliness were the hallmark of the service personnel attending my car. If i remember correctly, my service personnel's name was jimmy. I have seldom come across such a knowledgeable and well mannered service personnel in a long time. This place is highly recommended for everyone.

Huge waste of time. One simple task could have made the difference. My wife looked at a vehicle in the morning, expressed interest, and basically told the sales rep that if the vehicle can be detailed/cleaned by the evening then would most likely take it off the lot. Upon returning in the evening the car was just as filthy, which was a mystery why it was so dirty in the first place, and nor the sales rep or the manager seemed to care the least bit about our dissatisfaction. Terrible experience and would not recommend this place to anyone.

Made an appointment for 9:45 and was told that it would take about 1.5 hours. At 12:45, I asked for a status update and was told that they hoped to start the work soon.

I don't mind about the actual LENGTH of time, but I wish they had just told me that they had no idea when they would be done so that I hadn't made plans. As it is, I can't help but feel like I was lied to.

I had an extraordinary experience. My salesperson, Walter Sturdivant was excellent! He was courteous, personable, good natured, efficient and thoroughly knowledgeable. He made the entire process run very smoothly. I couldn t be happier.

I would add, when I was clearing out my trade in, Walter assisted me in the process, providing boxes to pack up my stuff and running bags of collected garbage to the dumpster. Really service above and beyond the call of duty. I m extremely appreciative for his great work. Thank you.

I also worked with Johnny Tran in Financial Services. Highly personable and efficient in describing and processing the paperwork. Very grateful for his good work as well.

Took my son and Kimberly Mcginty over to the Southpoint location to buy a fit and civic, Richard Powell greeted us right away and was professional all the way through sale , at one point Gregg Martella the sales manager got involved to make the sale happen (this man knows the business) I bought my fit at crown Honda of Greensboro and my Dodge Ram 1500 at crown dodge of Greensboro, This crown company is the best , this is where you want to buy your vehicles

I think they try but I worry that I might not have needed all the stuff they said I needed. Plus it took over two hours to be told they could not fix the particular issue I came in for. Personally, I prefer my local mechanic and will ask him if I really need all that I was told I needed.

I bought a new 2006 Honda Civic Hybrid here and brought it in for every scheduled maintenance. A few year's ago it began lurching and stalling and their service department recommended a new computer which set me back quite a bit of money. The problem never went away and when I went back just over a year later, they told me I needed yet another computer and that the one-year warranty had run out so I would have to spring for another one. Instead I took it to a local repair shop who took it for a 15 minute test drive, replace the spark plugs and everything was resolved.

Tried to buy a used Camry and found it through Car Gurus and dealer was Crowne Honda of Southpoint. Car Gurus description from dealer car info states 1 owner but car fax states there are two. Car Gurus accident description from dealer car info states no accidents but car fax states two accidents. Bold letters on Car Gurus dealer info about car "we deliver anywhere" but the dealer states they do not deliver. Bold letters on Car Gurus dealer info "Service Records Available" but the internet rep states they do not supply these records. Had follow up conversation with sales manager and they wanted to try and bring the car to my home to try it out and I agreed to a time. Structured my time and my family's time to be home for this and got last minute excuses from internet rep for not showing up at the agreed time. Too much erroneous information, too much confusion too much time wasted!!

The TPMS dash light was on. I arrived at 2:30; Frank told me it'd be 2-3 hrs, so I waited. At the 3 hr mark, I received a text for the work which I approved. After 4.25 hrs, I asked Frank for an update- not started. At 5 hrs, I asked again- he said he'd gotten someone else to replace the sensor in the rear wheel. After 6 hrs and $313, I left. 18 miles down the road, the light was back on. Shoddy. Returning for a real fix, but won't be back after.

This dealership has an excellent, well-run garage. I was especially pleased when my sevice advisor (Josh) helped me get warranty coverage on a prematurely dead starter. I use this place for all of my major maintenance, and have a history with it of 18 years.

The parts department and service department is not helpful at all. I called Acura for a Honda part and they ordered the part with out any run around.

They held the oil filter until I paid for it. Other Honda dealership gave me parts to take to the part window to pay for it.

Very disappointed with the service from this dealership. Went in for an oil change on my Honda Civic and got pressured heavily into performing several unnecessary services including a transmission flush which I was told was urgent even though I just had one a year earlier and <10K miles before. In addition they neglected to do the complimentary clean or change my oil sticker that was supposed to be done with the oil change nor did they bother to reset my radio after disconnecting the battery and then I could not get in touch with them by phone to get instructions how to reset it myself.

I have confidence in the service and appreciate that they washed my car afterwards. However the customer service aspect is very disappointing. I couldn't get through by phone despite long holds, so drove down to drop off the car. There were several service people in the large bay chatting with each other for an extended period and ignoring me (the only customer in there). I finally asked if I am supposed to do anything. After a while they paged someone else and they came out after a while. I commented on the long wait and the person didn't say anything and just wrote up the ticket. What a contrast going to Trader Joe's afterwards where the staff smile at you, ask if you need help, and seem genuinely pleased to have you as a customer!

This service department has a poor policy that does not honor appointment times. As a customer, my expectation is that when I make an appointment for a specific time that service will occur at that time. Being told that an appointment just puts me in a queue and I have to wait 3 hours for service that should only take 20 minutes is a waste of my time and not good customer service. Fix this!

My experience during the service call was adequate to underwhelming--an hour-an-a-half wait on a service for which I had an appointment. However, it was as I read the materials presented after paying that I vowed never to use Crown Honda of Southpoint as a destination for car service. I do not believe I would even consider buying a car from this site.
During a conversation with a service concierge, I learned that I needed new tires. I was aware but not willing to book the service that day. Because I refused that service, the concierge only shared in writing what the mechanic found regarding other service needs, including an indicator light that needs to be addressed. And yet, the record states, "Customer decline recommended service, repairs, and tire replacement." How can I decline service and repairs that were only presented in writing after I checked out and was at long last released to the world?
I have bought Honda vehicles for twenty-five years. I have used the dealer outposts for service throughout the service lives of those cars. In the last few years, particularly at Crown Honda, I have been wary and felt mistreated by the service professionals. This visit was my last! I am ending a twenty-five year relationship with a brand with this service call as the final staw!

I was a victim to a car break-in and brought my 2002 Accord to the dealership for assistance putting my dash back together and getting my turn signals and hazards back in working order. Charlie in service was wonderful, despite the fact that I had my car broken into and vandalized Crown Honda took care of me without me spending a lot of money and without hassle. They took me to work and picked me up while they put my dash back together.

I have been a customer for a long time. Since 2015 I have purchased 2 Pilots and an odyssey. Service was the reason we loved Crown. Not anymore!! I have caught them saying my oil was changed and it wasn t, tires not getting rotated. So check before and after to make sure they do it. Also I scheduled an appointment 3 days ahead for oils change tire rotation, get there to find out from 2:30 they may get to it by 5:00. Last 3 + appointments have been like this. And one time after waiting several hours find out they didn t really do anything. This dealership has gone downhill considerably, not sure if it is employee s or management. So beware.

I had a great experience working with salesperson Reggie and finance manager Dave. Both were attentive to what I wanted, and worked to get me the right car at the price that I wanted. In the end I got a great car at a great price, and had a very positive experience. Will definitely be back, and recommend to others!

After my experience with Crown Honda service department, I know now that it was a good decision to go to Crown Honda for repair in my Honda Civic. I was treated as a valued customer. Service advisor Charlie Mellela was very co-operative, very friendly. Well, I am their customer now, and will recommend to anyone who has Honda. Again, I would like to say thank you Charlie.
