A super place to walk around.I think it is one of the best if not the best deep forested area in the boston area. The deer population has been growing here recently and it is not that uncommon to find deer while walking around here.It has lots of walking trails that are marked so you wont get lost . UPDATED REVIEW, THIS IS A WILDLIFE SANCTUARY WHICH IS A HABITAT DESIGNED TO PROTECT WILDLIFE.WHY IS MOOSE HILL ALLOWING HUNTERS TO COME HERE AND KILL THE DEER? THERE IS NO NEED OR EXCUSES FOR IT.PLEASE STOP ALLOWING THE KILLING OF DEER AT MOOSE HILL!

We went for the maple syrup festival that was advertised on a sign down the street but when we got there we were told that we had to sign up on -line. Misleading..Thought there would be tents with venders at least selling maple syrup since it said festival but no.

Great place to see birds at the farm, to get a nice view off the bluff trail, mostly all trails are marked. Make sure to bring good hiking shoes, the summit trail is pretty steep and slippery! I also had to use the turkey trail to get to the chimney on the ledge cause the hill on the other side was steeper.

Since pandemic place is crowded, bird sightings can be good if you can hear clearly and quietly. Animal sightings are WAY down due to crowds and noise (deer, fox, coyote, woodchucks, weasels, fisher cats). Warmer weather means ticks can be plentiful, stay on trails and avoid high grass and shrubs. Do a tick check every visit.

Great place for a hike, close by the Boston area. Snow was nicely packed down (Feb 14th, 2021), didn't need snowshoes, just good hikers. Only saw a few other people on the trails. Trails were pretty well marked, except for one spot whete we had to cross a stream... I'd suggest getting the trail map from the website - the one on the trail head board (shown in my photo) does not have as much detail which is necessary and very helpful at some points... Fortunately there's good cell coverage throughout.
