Coolray is the way to go! They are the preferred third-party HVAC company at Home Depot for a reason.

Where Cool Air Mechanical, one of Coolray's competitors, pushed hard for us to pay $8,000+ to replace our three-year old AC, Coolray was a lot more reasonable and offered to fix it for $1,200 ($1,000 for labor and $200 for a one-year maintenance plan). When the technician Kenneth R. and his supervisor Brad showed up to do the work, they ran a second diagnosis and realized that the part that we were first told needed to be replaced was working properly after all. They then decided to simply top up our refrigerant for FREE and only charged us for the maintenance plan.

Long story short, our AC is working well now and I can't thank Coolray enough for that. I highly recommend them if you are looking for excellent service and a company that will put your best interest first.

I scheduled an appointment advising the person that I have a known leak, but when the technician came out her told me, "you have a leak, that's your problem". I starred at him amazed that he expected me to pay him for what I already knew and informed Cool Ray of at the time I made the appointment. He stood there asking me what I wanted to do. He proceeded to tell me that it would be a fe of $300 + to find the leak and an additional fee to fix the leak. I asked does any of this money go toward the repair. HE advise me, no. He said or, I can add freon for $90/pounds and that I was very low and would need 4-5 pounds. I told him that would defeat my whole purpose if I have aknow leak. I guess I'm jsut frustrated because had the person that scheduled the appointment told me about the lak finding fee + the leak repair fee, I would have made a concious decision. I feel deceived and misled, only to get a techician to make me spend more money and still not have my problem fixed. I don't think I would be referring my clients to Coolray.

You sent John within two days. He was prompt - polite - concerned with what I had to say - took his time and explained everything - not just changing the filter but maintenance also. Semi-annual maintenance was completed on HVAC systems. The service tech, Christian, was very thorough with his work and took time to explain what was checked and condition of the systems. Recommended work was explained in advance of sending a thorough report of work completed. Based on his service I'm confident the systems are performing properly and the work was a good value. Definitely recommended.

Accolades to Coolray's Brad Smith! He just fixed my A/C unit. He replaced one part early this morning, but then had to order another. Coolray found the part and Brad came back and had it installed by noon. I can't tell you have appreciative I am! Brad's a wonderful representative for Coolray! And the lifetime warranty maintenance agreement is well worth it!

I greatly appreciated the friendly professionalism when I called about problems we were having with our 25 year old home. Ryne our technician came out prepared to answer my questions and give me quotes on the necessary equipment and repairs. The workmanship was spot on, the area was left in better shape than he found it and the one part that he didn't have in his van was a quick run to his Marietta supply house and back. He estimated the repairs would take 2 hours, so I set aside 3 hours, because of my experiences with other companies and their repairman. He was done in 90 minute (less if I hadn't starting chatting). I will definitely continue to use Mr. Plumber and request Ryne Bernhardt as our tech/repairman.

Just wanted to let you know what a great experience it was when your technician Michael Mills came to our home for our routine service visit. As always, Michael arrived promptly, greeted us with a smile and proceeded to perform the maintenance check on our HVAC System. Upon completion of his service call, Michael asked if we had any questions or concerns and reminded us that our yearly service agreement would be expiring in the very near future. He offered to renew our service agreement at that time and quickly retrieved the necessary to complete the process. Michael is treuly a credit to your company.

It started with the sales process with Bobby who took the time and explained everything about the new advancements in HVACs and the product line he recommended especially with the Infinity line with Carrier. He was very upfront and honest what I needed and didn t need. The installation team that came the very next business day were extremely diligent and professional. Duane, Robert, Alexander, Jeffery and the team worked almost 12-13 hours and got the installation done. Robert and Duane took the time to set the thermostat and explained all the features it had and left my house clean. I would recommend Coolray to anyone that truly appreciates professional, meticulous and true workmanship. Thanks Coolray!

He worked with me to figure out why my old system was freezing up so often and advised every step of the way what it would cost. Scheduled time out of my day to meet tech, I drove 45 min to meet which I was 15 min early for, the tech left and their dispatch says that there isn t anything they can do, this company clearly isn t very reliable nor do they communicate with anyone especially their customers, I will be calling one of their competitors I m sure they can take care of us!

Technician was prompt, courteous and thorough. Only issue was an error on service call papers showing maintenance agreement was on one unit instead of the three units I have. I had to pull my files to explain to technician how all three units were covered. Once he called the office, someone verified that and we were good!

I need to start by saying this is a great company when it comes to responsive service time. You cant ask for a better company when it comes to customer service and friendly employees. Their prices for new equipment are very reasonable when comparing to the competition.

With all that said, when it comes to service cost on items not covered by a warrantee, you may need to shop that cost. I had Coolray come to my home do to a 3 year old + new AIR unit showing a fault light on the thermostat and the AC unit shutting down causing the inside house temperature to rise to 84%. When the technician came he found a cut wire within a wall and said the cost to replace the 20' piece of wire was $945. I personally cut the wall open to allow technician to see and replace the wire.(15 minutes).
I personally repaired the wall after paying the $945 for this wire replacement. " keep in mind that the wire cost approximately $25 ".

(I know many of you are asking why did I pay the cost. At the time and temperature of the home having family inside, we could not wait until we found another company to come repair this as this all happened on a Friday afternoon. )

I contacted another local AC company after the fact who said they would replace the wire for $150 if I cut the wall open as I did. The total work time was 1 Hr+. In addition to the repair, the very nice technician found that my air filter needed replaced even though another Coolray technician had just come to replace it weeks before but said no replacement was needed. I do not believe that the first technician even checked the filter do to this finding.

I want to again say, Coolray is a good company but this customer is very disappointed. I will continue to refer others to Coolray as I have done to many others including 3 family homes but now with extra warnings to all. Be careful of any service cost and repair.

Luis is an outstanding service tech. He has been helping me maintain the A/C unit with select upgrades over the last few years. He is very nice person that is always very pleasant. He just did my annual service today, June 20, 2019 with minimal interruption. I highly recommend him to help anyone with their A/C or heating needs.

At this point I am sad to say that I am not a satisfied customer. Our initial technician was very thorough and said that we needed to clean the outside unit before any diagnosis could take place. The technician who returned the next day has still not cleaned the outside part, though he has completed the rest of the work. Although the initial problem was fixed, replacement of internal coil in air conditioning unit, my Nest thermostat was shorted out in the process. This was not at all the problem and was fully operational until the technician was finalizing the installation of the new coils. After approximately $2000 in repairs the technician told my wife he could replace the Nest with a unit off the truck for $500! I had heard good things about Coolray but I am really let down and will not recommend them or use them again. We do have cold air blowing, but I feel like I need to be present when work is being done. I am a school teacher and I cannot really do this without taking a day of work off, which makes me feel like I should just choose a different company. They still need to come back once more and I am worried about how this visit will go.

The sales guy that came out to the house was good and detailed. The installation was disappointing. They installed the air handler and condensing unit when I was at work and when I got home there were 5 air leaks that I counted on the air handler in the basement. I called the sales guy back and told him my issues and he said someone would be out Saturday (that is what I requested). The service person called me back and said they only did every other Saturday and those guys were booked up, so had to schedule during the week. I also had a code question about how it was installed. Basically they sealed all the joints of the unit where the sheet metal comes together with tape and told me the engineers don t really design the units to seal up tight, which makes me feel like I bought junk. The guy that came the second time to address my issues with the installation was nice enough but didn t leave me with much confidence I bought something worth the money I paid for it. He did resolve the code question.
The company came out to do their free one year cooling service only to find out that part of the duct that they installed had come loose from the main duct and was leaking cold air into my garage. I will say everyone that has come out has been very nice but I don't feel like that offsets the issues with craftsmanship.

Our AC was older and needed updating. Our Cool Ray representative came out the very next day, went over everything with us, and what our system needed to be up to code. He had us scheduled for the very next day. The team that came out the next day was professional. They worked hard even in some light rain to finish the job. Our new AC is amazing and keeps our house nice and cool...even cold. We would highly recommend Cool Ray and love our 10 year warranty on our new system.

Overall, my experience with this company has been positive. However, the most recent experience was lackluster. After hours service number did not pick up. Service contract loophole required me to pay full price for visit and repair. This was only 10 days after my biannual inspection which didn't check outside unit and failed to discover the ant issue that caused the problem. I will not be renewing tge service contract after it expires.

Team installed a very nice heating and cooling system. After years of living in a large condo with cold and hot spots due to a bad system, I love the new Carrier Infinity system. The installation team was very professional and had the right N95 masks and other equipment on when installing. My neighbors and the HOA president stopped by during the installation, they were all complementary of how professional the team was. Thanks!!!

The technician showed up; told me there was nothing he could do because my coil was frozen, charged me the diagnostic fee and said he would return the following morning. Up till mid- day the next he was a no- show, i called and left several messages for him but no reply, finally I called the office and was told that they could not return to my house until 3 day later. At that point I had no choice but to contact another company.
So i was charged a diagnostic fee by Coolray but my system was never diagnosed!
Update:
Recieved a call a couple weeks later from their office; but was at work so I didn't take the call. The voice message said that they would like to speak to me to resolve my issue. I called twice and left messages with a specific person and it is now a few weeks later and still no more communication from them.

Kirk came out the same day that I called and was thorough and professional in tracking down the problem and resolving it. I very much appreciated being treated as a valued customer and Kirk's attention to detail as well as his perseverance in locating and correcting the problem for me. The technician was knowledgeable, diagnosed my problem, gave me an estimate of the cost and ' gave me an estimate of how long it would take for the repairs. He made the repairs in the time frame that he gave me, and my unit is cooking and running properly. I have used Cool Ray for years, and I will continue to use them in the future. They have always treated me fair.

Technician was super nice. Cool ray does not train or provide equipment for any electrical components for plumbing. Since this was an electric water heater issue, a separate (expensive) evaluation was suggested. Instead, we took a chance and replaced one of the heating elements at $49 for a part that costs $16 at Home Depot. Labor was $325 for a simple 30 minute job. Unfair pricing doesn't begin to describe this company!

TL:DR - Paul Duncan was a great rep that was extremely helpful and professional.

Paul Duncan was my service rep and was incredibly helpful just like all the other Reps who have visited my home in the past few years.

He want above and beyond in explaining why he was doing what he was doing. Fully explained what the recommendations were and why he suggested them. He didn't try to pressure me into getting a pump for my AC unit but explained why they recommend it, specifically for the unit in the attic.

I seem to have a small freon leak and he said he would be happy to do a leak search but that he thinks its a waist of the money I would spend on the leak search. Since its a small leak and that if it was the coil they wouldn't be able to replace them because my units so old they don't make the coils for them anymore. Its this kind of attitude and honesty that will gain my trust and business for years to come.

After the discussion about the old units, leak, and coils he answered a few questions i had about new units. Due to the honest nature of every person from CoolRay i plan to get my new AC units from them in the next few years.

Have had great experiences with the company, and I've used them for maintenance for a while as well as installation of the most recent system and some additional work (thermostat relocation, UV filter). Everyone is always professional and efficient. Gerald and Doug have done the 2 most recent jobs and were outstanding, explaining everything well and doing things with attention to detail and on schedule. They show up when they say they will and they do the job.

At my request, one of the technicians removed a motor from the old unit for me.

From the first meeting, Matt was extremely professional and he was more than willing to answer all of our questions. Matt was very thorough in our initial meeting and we were confident in Mr. Plumber to complete our project.

We have been Coolray customers for about 5 years. We first called them when we had problems with a heat pump on a Thanksgiving weekend and Coolray was the only company we could find in the Flowery Branch area that would come out that weekend. We have since kept an annual maintenance agreement with them. Every time we have needed service Coolray was there within 24 hours. We have lived in 2 houses and Coolray has put new systems in both. We would not call any other company for our heat and air service.

It was a long day for Chris Feddern and his Assistant, but they hung in there and got the job done for us. Our system is running smooth and cooling our home with ease and comfort. We especially are pleased with how much more comfortable our bonus room above our garage is now. Chris Feddern is a fantastic representative of your company! He is very professional and knows what he is doing inside and out! Great customer service skills! If I were in upper management at CoolRay I would find a way to promote Chris and give him a big raise. You need to keep this guy around!! Was very disappointed with my recent A/C inspection. Technician was unable to clean exterior unit, told me he would note it in the report but then removed the note prior to sending me the report. Was very pushy to try and send sales team out and seemed more interested in pushing a new unit on me than servicing my current one. If and when I need a new unit will probably be looking elsewhere.

We have had very good experiences with Coolray for many years now. About a decade ago, they saved us from another company that tried to charge 3X as much for a furnace repair, and they turned the heat back on (the other disabled the gas on the coldest days of a very cold winter). Service continues to be outstanding. Adrian came by yesterday for routine maintenance and made good recommendations ("consider a surge protector"). He was courteous, kind, and punctual- even though I was late, and he had to wait. We appreciate you, Coolray. Thanks for taking good care of this house.

The technician was unable to arrive at my home during the 4 hr window I was asked to be available for on the first appointment day. When I told the person calling at 6:00 that I would not be available any longer she seemed frustrated with me about needing to reschedule and was not apologetic for the 4 hours I had been home waiting. On the second appointment day my wife was home and told the technician when he arrived about a recent problem we encountered with the furnace not igniting. The technician examined the furnace had my wife sign and left without saying anything to her about the issue. All in all not a great experience this time.

My parents Were with coolray over 14 years. The past 2 years the service has gone to the dogs. They were contacted for the service for seasonal tuneup. They were haveing no trouble with the unit. Next morning they had no air. They are on a fixed income. They call the service tech came out fixed it. They paid over 100. Plus the service contract. The air went out again the next morning. Again they call. Service tect comes out fixs it with wires hanging out the top of the unit like a J rig. TOTALLY unprofessional. They again paid the company. The unit went out again. My brother cked the wires hanging out the top and it had come loose. He fixed it. My dad called and told them they had shade tree techs and NOT to send any one out ever again. They paid 3 times over 100. Each time and coolray NEVER fixed it. My husband worked their when it was allweather and it was the BEST HVAC company in atl. Area. Coolrays service dept. Has gone to the bottom of the list. I am so upset these people took advantage of my elderly parents i could scream. Beware ck your unit before they leave. Hanging wires outside the unit is unacceptable. SHADETREE SERVICE DEPARTMENT . Also something that had been put into the attic for safe keeping walked out with 1 of those techs. No other persons had been in the attic except coolrays techs. My father said let it go due to the fact it wasnt found to be missing for a week after they left. And he felt nothing could be done at that time. And he really wanted to wash his hands of the company completely.

My Carrier unit purchased 2 yrs ago from Coolray stopped cooling. I called, & Kenny came that day to asses. A part on the Carrier unit malfunctioned, & had to be ordered. 2 days later Kenny returned for a 5 hr repair! Upon conclusion, Kenny informed us that the part & labor were fully covered--total charge zero. My home is cool again. Coolray has been great again. Kenny was most professional again. Happy customer.

WOW! What great service. Our AC went out on a Monday night. I called Coolray Heating & Air Conditioning first thing Tuesday morning to report the problem and Tom was at our house before the day was done. When Tom left he had us up and running again. Tom had the knowledge to diagnose the problem right away and make the necessary repairs.

It does not get any better than that.
