Coolray installed my HVAC in 2006 and I've kept it...

Coolray installed my HVAC in 2006 and I've kept it under maintenance agreement ever since; still working great with twice-a-year service. AC once stopped working at 7 pm on a Friday and they had someone here to fix it within an hour. Marquist came today for our winter system maintenance and was very professional, friendly and efficient. Also we felt very safe regarding his COVID precautions.

Coolray installed a new A/C unit for our upstairs. The installer Chris Feddern was awesome. He reconfigured the ductwork in our attic and the new A/C works better than ever. He and his assistant Matt worked 14 hours straight through to get the job done in one day and accommodate our schedule. Thank you Chris and Matt!

Bret Keeney has been coming to my house to maintain and repair my HVAC system for quite a few years now and I would not have anyone else. He is very knowledgeable, professional and courteous. It is through Bret that I had installed my new HVAC system about three years ago and he didn't even get credit for it.

Bret is still servicing my HVAC system and has been continuously for many years. When Bret left for a short time I had a replacement but when I found out that he had returned I asked for Bret to come back to service my unit. He never pushes anything on me but does advise if he thinks that I should do an update but does not push me. I think that Bret is very professional and knowledgeable. I would recommend him and Coolray to anyone that wants a top notch job.

I scheduled a first time maintenance appointment with Coolray this past week because my AC was struggling to keep up with the heat outside.

Eric, a Coolray technician showed up exactly on time for the scheduled appointment and was very friendly and respectful of me and my home. He performed a very thorough inspection of all my systems, cleaned them, and then provided an in-depth report on all that was good and bad.

I was very impressed with the work he did, so I scheduled for an estimate based on his recommendations. Andy showed up for the estimate and was equally as professional, friendly, and respectful. Andy was fantastic and helped me navigate through my options, prices, and made several recommendations. He didn t try to up-sale me, which I really, really appreciated.

I ve scheduled an AC install with Coolray based on Eric and Andy s recommendations, so I ll update this review after a few months of having the new AC.

Great job Eric, Andy, and Coolray for employing such excellent people.

My experiences with Cool Ray and Mr. Plumber over many years has always been outstanding. This time, it was extraordinary because Mr. Plumber has a new employee, Donald, a true professional with excellent customer service skills and a great personality.

New update: Yesterday, my elderly neighbor told me she hadn't had hot water for a week. I called Mr. Plumber and Donald was sent 2 hours later. He, again, did an outstanding job installed a new hot water heater. My neighbor was as impressed with him as I have been.

Very happy with the service we received from Coolray. We were unhappy with the level of service from our prior HVAC company and switched to Coolray. Terence came out and found our issue, worked really hard to correct it and explain to us what was wrong and what he was doing to fix it. Original problem cost too much to consider repair on a 25 year old system. Coolray tech was able to answer repair call the afternoon from a call in the same morning. Haad the system design tech erespond next day, moe ing to see about comlplete replacment of whole a/c and furnace. Coolray came back with a competative price and could install starting the next morning, a friday so it would be done before weekend. All techs and personnel were profesional.

I recently had to use both Coolray and Mr. Plumber. (same company- different services) Both experiences were 110%. All employees knowledgeable, on time, courteous and completed the tasks at hand in a timely and complete manner. I will continue to use them, as i have now for several years.

I purchased their ac/heater with ducts equipment in 2018. Since day one i have had problems with their equipment. They have came back numerous of times to fix stuff and replace my thermostat. Every time I called I was very patient because all I wanted was a working ac/heater. I didn't want to waste my time arguing. I would not recommend them because they make promises and convince you not to request a refund and yet I still have problems with it. This has cost me way to much to have to deal with as a single parent. I WOULD NOT PURCHASE FROM THEM AGAIN BUT WANTED TO LET OTHER CUSTOMERS KNOW MY EXPERIENCE.

I would like to say that my recent interactions with the Coolray staff was outstanding. From the initial consultation with Ron Smith to the professional installers that come out. This level of professionalism makes such a big purchase easier to stomach. I had my furnace done by Coolray 3 days before Christmas in 2012 and had the same great experience with the company. I would recommend them to anyone for all of your home comfort needs.

Great Job CoolRay and great price. I had a leaking coil on top of a 25 year old furnace. Coolray's Robert and Alan did a great job removing the old coil and furnace and installing the quiet new Carrier Infinity furnace. My air conditioning is running fine and I'm ready for cool weather too.

Generally great in past but had some hiccups during my recent maintenance appt. They did not bring the PCO bulb replacement that I requested when I made appt - did not indicate it on the work order. So this had to be rescheduled at my inconvenience. Then they said they called multiple times to reschedule but they didn't. And some other annoyances like trying to reach a human at their callback numbers without being on hold for a long time. The service guy, Ibrahim, was great however! Still recommend them as CoolRay is better than other companies I've used here.

Really good guy that came to fix plugged condensation pump tubing. Everything was in working order etc. Since i cleared the majority of the blockage myself. However, was weird that he doubted me that the storage room flooded because we had it dried out and everything back in. Anyway, my issue was cost. $360 to blow out pvc and clean out condensation pumps. i should have done it myself. Coolray just seems to want to extract as much money as possible from you.

Alex Matinez came out to provide service today 2.5.2020 in Acworth. He explained everything he was doing in a way that I could understand. He has great customer service skills as well as knowledgeable about my system. He also explained my thermostat and how to use it various apps. I think CoolRay needs to keep him in a career path with the company. He seems to have goals and how to accomplish them. He speaks well of the company and that he is lucky to have a job with CoolRay. Coolray installed my complete HVAC system and has serviced it under a maintenance agreement for the last 4 or so years. We are very happy with the system and the service techs are always courteous and professional. We have always received great service.

My last service tech, Edwin, is a terrific young man. Edwin arrived for a scheduled HVAC service call. Earlier that day, my water heater pilot light had gone out and I was having trouble getting it relit. Edwin was there for an HVAC service, not a plumbing issue, and he didn t need to do anything to assist me with the water heater but he did. It only took a few minutes, but many companies would not have assisted, at least not without an additional charge. It s a small thing, I know, but I think it is sometimes the small things that separate exceptional companies from the pack.

My wife and I want to congratulate you on the team of professionals working for Coolray.

Our AC unit quit working on July 2, 2014. Based on recommendations, we called Coolray of Marietta. On that day, a technician was sent out and discovered that the compressor froze and would not function. After a visit by Lance, Comfort Consultant, we decided to replace not only the AC unit but also the furnace. Both were originally installed in 1982. I think we got our money's worth out of it.

On July 4th (thank you very much), Coolray sent out two technicians, Ben and Brandon. They did a fantastic job. Now I know why Coolray came highly recommended by family and friends.

Three weeks later, Coolray sent Gerald to perform a quality control inspection to insure that nothing was missed during the installation. Gerald was cordial, thorough and very knowledgeable. He took the time to answer all my questions and discussed the areas of the inspection/installation that needed to be addressed. Gerald assured me that all issues would be resolved in the coming days.

As an electrical engineer with a background in design, quality control and repair, the effort Coolray took by sending Gerald was, definitely, reassuring and a comfort. That extra step told me Coolray is truly engaged in the quality of work performed.

Mr. Haines, you have a good team of people working for you and I hope you can maintain that quality mind set and expertise.

If asked, my wife and I will have no problem recommending Coolray for HVAC needs.

I was having a problem with my toilet "running" every once in a while and I wasn't sure what to do to fix it, I contacted Mr. Plumber and they were very responsive and Tyler came out and replaced a ring in the tank that was no longer functioning! It's working like new again! I hadn't even realized that it was getting harder to flush, which is also a "symptom" of that piece not functioning properly. But he took time with me and explained everything and even checked the other toilets. It was like a toilet "tune-up"! But I feel so much better - they are all functioning properly again. I will definitely contact them again if needed!

Just had to have an air conditioning unit replaced, and was very pleased by the job done by Joshua and Jamison. We've been happy with CoolRay service and support for years, but these guys go above and beyond to make sure installation is perfect, and that we, the Customer, totally understand what is being done and have no unanswered questions when they leave. Equipment is equipment, but it is the people of CoolRay that make the difference, and Josh and Jamison are two of the best.

Worst service I have ever used. The tech tried to charge me 700 dollars for a Freon and coil upgrade and then to down play the cost roped me into some BS twice yearly repair to spread the cost out. I told them to leave and had to pay the 75 dollar fee which ironically enough is how much the other local company that i had come out next cost total to fix my issue. I would not piss on this services building if it was on fire.

We received several quotes and Coolray offered the best price with the best warranty (lifetime!). They came out within 2 days to replace our 27 year old system. They installed the new Carrier HVAC/furnace system in one day- they even called in a second crew during the afternoon to make sure it would be completed in one day. Everyone has been extremely professional and quick- I couldn't be happier. We are one month out and our first energy bill is half our previous lowest ever. I would highly recommend Coolray!

Having serviced our a/c unit several times before, JP was thoroughly knowledgeable with the location of the unit and proceeded to check the system. We appreciated his professionalism, knowledge and advice. His service included checking the filter, flushing the drain, checking the pump, electricals, charge and cleaning the outdoor coil. In addition, he was friendly with our boxer, Lucky, who is very particular about those he likes!

When we sat down to discuss financials he asked me a couple of questions I thought were odd. Have you ever replaced your units or dealt with this issue before? ... Woke up and hit the shower, typical day. Hot water cuts out halfway through. After a couple of attempts to relight the pilot the problem is obvious. The pilot won't stay lit more than a few seconds. I then did precisely what everyone should do in this situation, I GOOGLED THE PROBLEM AND FOUND SEVERAL YOU TUBE VIDEOS ON HOW TO FIX IT. The problem was a dirty thermo couple. Apparently this gadget shuts the gas down if it doesn't read heat to keep your house from getting blown sky-high. So the Cool Ray guy comes out. Calmly assesses the situation and tells me about a mysterious circuit that fails in a water heater. "Once it goes, you have to replace the unit". "Here take a look" he presses the pilot ignition two or three time and says "the pilot won't even light now". He's right, it didn't because the gas supply had been turned off. But luckily he had a refurb tank on the truck that I could have for the bargain price of 900 installed. So I asked him to clean the thermo couple for me and put the unit back in service and I would pay for a service call. "My boss won't let me do that sir because of liability.'" So basically this Coolray tech was running a hustle where he would take my water heater, fix it, and sell it to the next sucker for 900 bucks while selling me some poor customers tank who was stupid enough to fall for the con. I have no respect for people who try to steal money and that's precisely what my Cool Ray tech did. I asked him to leave. Bought 2 bucks worth of sand paper from the hardware store. Disassembled the burner and cleaned the thermo couple and put the heater back in service in about 30 mins. Needless to say COOLRAY will not be getting my patronage in the future.

A service tech visited my home for a service call in mid-March and recommended instead of re-charging my unit, which is very old, that I instead replace it. This was an excellent suggestion and the next week a comfort specialist, Joey Marlow, visited my home and promised a quote to replace within a few days. That visit was on March 17.

Several weeks passed with no contact and all during this time I have an old unit that isn t functioning. I called Cool-Ray and finally spoke to Joey again and he promised to move this to the front of the list. He never returned my call, never e-mailed me, and did not act like I was important enough to warrant a reply. He acted surprised I was following-up with him.

I called Shumate and they installed a brand new unit within 5 days, quote to completion. This was money I was willing to spend with Cool-Ray had they only made my business a priority.

I called a service technician for an HVAC cooling issue in May 2020. The technician first was very rude shining his flashlight on my walls at pictures and staring me up and down and shaking his head as if he was judging me by my choice of art. This was only the beginning. He then persisted to be very sarcastic asking me if I even knew where my filters for my HVAC unit were in my home and even had the gall to assume I didn't have the money for the repair services by insisting I MUST pay the $89.95 service fee over and over again. I was very close to kicking this guy right out of my house at this point but I decided to be the bigger person. Upon some further inspection for 10 minutes the technician gave me a list of suggested repairs totaling over $1,200 but then settled on my unit just being low on refrigerant after I summarized his long sales pitch. As it was already hot in my home, I decided to accept his analysis and get more refrigerant for $600.

Fast forward 50 days (July) and I have the same issue again. I call again and they send a new technician out after I told them how utterly rude the previous guy was. This new guy is literally there 10 minutes and takes a measurement of my refrigerant level and says it's low and I "proably" have a leak. Now, the previous person in May just told me it was low on refrigerant and didn't mention anything about a leak. They proceed to charge me another $350 (maintenance plan discount) for more refrigerant and tell me to replace my entire HVAC system which wasn't mentioned before. They told me the refrigerant should last 60 days again as the leak is proably small. Now, he didn't check anything with any tools. This was just his assumption - a 100% guess I have to come to find out.

Less than 12 hours later, I have the same issue AGAIN. They want to send another person out. I'm like no way. Since contacting other companies I learned they actually have leak detection diagnostic tools for HVAC systems and that's what any actually skilled technician should be using. The two technicians I encountered were obviously poorly trained and after contacting their customer service department with my complaints I was told an email was sent to a "complaint team".

So, now I've hired a competent HVAC service company and all is well. I would never hire these rascals again.

I was SO pleased with every single person that I dealt with at CoolRay when I decided that I needed a new air conditioner. The enthusiasm and helpfulness of Lorenzo setting up the appointments, and the professionalism of Shem Grisdale in determining the best unit for my home was very impressive and reassuring. The technicians, Michael and Alex were also very professional, hard working, and a pleasure to deal with.
They kept me informed of arrival times and procedures every step of the way. We have used Coolray for ALL of our Heating and Air needs for well over 20 years, and have never had ANY problem. Their courteous customer service just seems to be getting even better every time I deal with them. I really do want to thank all of the employees for making this as pleasant as something like this can be!

I switched over to Cool Ray years ago when I had two other local firms working on my air unit who failed to fix it but ended up costing me quite a bit for the work. The Cool Ray tech actually fixed the problem. I've had good luck getting Cool Ray techs out when I need them including on weekends and evenings so that I don't have to take time away from work, and they're always very professional and do good work. The only negative I see is that this is NOT the low price firm. They certainly are more expensive than virtually everybody else -- particularly their plumbing group who I probably won't use again for that reason and where I think there isn't as much added value for the higher spend. But for HVAC, I found that it was worth spending the extra and getting it done right. I'm leaving this review to make sure the tech I most recently used, Timothy, is recognized for his good work.

We suffered a lighting strike. The first tech came out and said I had a bad breaker in the circuit box. I replaced it and another tech the next day. He did an outstanding job in the repair steps and letting me know what the costs would be. The second tech's work ethic and customer service is outstanding. I would recommend him to anyone.
