We had been going to Clair & Dee's Point for almost two years and had always coming in here for our oil change and check ups. They are timely and nice, but recently we had an experience that made us wary of returning. Long story short, an individuals that worked there had tried to get us to fix a "problem" that a different mechanic whom we trusted confirmed was not a problem, nonexistent. The "fix" would have costed us a lot of money and so I urge any other college students or individuals on a tight budget to get a second opinion before agreeing to a fix.

Great Customer Service. The Toyota Dealer was charging me an outrageous amount for a repair whereas Adam at Clair and Dees found the solution for much less. Great for oil changes as well.
I couldn't be more happy with my visit to Clair and Dee's. Two of my tires were losing air frequently so I went here to have them patched. After a comfortable stay in the waiting room with nice people and great popcorn, I was ready to go. They explained the cause of the leaks and told me I was good to go. To my surprise they did it all for no charge. It made my day.
Went here to get an alignment, and to see if my tires needed rotating because my car was pulling. Later that day I went back to pick up my car, and they said that the alignment was perfect, so all they had to do was rotate my tires. Went to pay and they said, "free of charge". The only payment they asked of me was to enjoy the rest of my day -- top quality customer service. I will be coming here for any car maintenance and repairs I need, as well as recommending it to others.

I brought my car in because it had a small gas leak. I didn't think it would be an expensive fix in the first place. They took a look at it and fixed it for a very reasonable price. They also pointed out a part that was seeping some oil. They took the time to spray the oil off, then allow me to watch it build up, instead of telling me I had a ton of stuff wrong and try to take my money. Honest dudes, I would recommend to anyone. Lots of shops in town are super shady and you won't get that here.

My wife took the car in because our wiper blade seemed to be broken. The mechanic helping her only had to tighten one screw. Instead of changing us he said it was a Christmas gift to us! That relieved us of some stress and I could not recommend them more!

I m a college student here in town and threw my car alignment off after a trip to the dunes. I needed some place that was going to be honest and not overcharge me and Point S was recommended to me by a friend. It was honestly such a great experience! I know absolutely nothing about cars and was just going off of what my dad had told me. They made sure to check everything I told them and were completely honest about the work. Their waiting room was cozy and nice and they made sure to keep me updated while I waited. Paula helped me out at the front desk and was so personable and kind! Andrew B. worked to fix the alignment and made sure to sit down with me and show me exactly what he did to fix it and where my tires were at before the fix so I had an understanding. He was absolutely fantastic and so kind! Really great people and atmosphere! They do honest work and don t overcharge at all. I highly recommend this place!

I've come here many times for oil changes, getting new tires, and other car issues. They are always open and honest on their recommendations and repairs, and it's all done at a reasonable price. The staff and mechanics are always willing to explain things to you without making you feel dumb, and they are very easy to work with. I'm moving in the next week, thinking that I'll have find a new mechanic to go to, only to find out that there is a Clair and Dee's 5 Points in the city I'm going to. They'll have my business for a long time!

I went in to get a strange noise coming from my brakes checked out. They told me what it might be, quoted me, and I hesitantly agreed because being a college student i don't have an income. So they took a while to take it apart find the root of the problem, turns out the fix was actually quite simple and all they did was lubricate all the dry areas in the brake system causing the squealing. I went to go pay and was told not to worry about it because of how simple of a fix it was. Just had to wait for quite a while being that they were so busy, and I can understand why.
Great customer service from the staff at the front desks to the mechanics themselves. I have no question as to where I'm going if I ever have anymore car issues, hopefully i don't of course. Thanks Claire and Dee's!
We can't say enough good things about their service! We had family from out of town, taking a drive to Yellowstone when we had a flat. The staff took care of us quickly, removed a screw from the tire, patched it, got us on our way and even gave driving recommendations to avoid some construction. All as a courtesy and with smiles. They are professionals!
I am very skeptical when I have other people work on my vehicles because I do most of the repair my self. However with life and work I'm often to busy to do them now. Clair and Dee's has been my go to for tires and alignments on all my vehicles. And recently had them replaced a CV axle. With all of the services they were done timley and well. Dallen at the front desk is great to deal with and does great to make sure things are communicated well.
I went in today to get some help reattaching my muffler. The gentleman who helped me fixed it very quickly and did it free of charge. I will definitely return here if I have any issues with my car again!
I ve taken a couple cars here to fix everything from a check engine light to a squeaky bushing. And they have been able to fix every issue and hold to there word! I would recommend them to anyone.

We had an unfortunate incident in Island Park and decided to go to Rexburg for services. I am so glad we chose Claire and Dee's! Right off the bat the staff was welcoming, understanding, and willing to answer questions. They treated me like a person instead of a potential dollar amount throughout the whole process, taking into account my unique circumstances when making recommendations. Multiple members of the staff assisted us on a personal, non-repair level without expected compensation. Most specifically I worked with Paula and Jaicee. They were willing to work with my insurance in a way that even my agent said was "unusually helpful." Overall, as an individual experience and compared to working with other locations across the country, I would recommend Clair and Dee's shop for any services required.
First of all I want to be clear that this is not directed towards all employees that work at this Point S. But this was my one and only experience there. About a year ago I took my car there for them to do an alignment on the rear end of my car (front had just been done back at home) since I had done some work to it. First of all I dropped it off in the morning after setting an appointment the day before and they said it would be done by mid-day. I came back around 3 and they still had not gotten to it and said it would be done by the end of the day. Went back about an hour before they closed and they told me they were not going to have time for it and at that time they didn't even have any cars in any of their bays. I ended up bringing it back the next day where i talked to an older man that was going to do the alignment and explicitly told him that my main worry was for him to eliminate the amount of camber in the rear end and he understood. When I came back to get the car I saw on the status sheet they gave me that the camber had not been changed at all. I brought this up and made it clear i wanted to talk to the guy that did my alignment. He was then very stern with me that "it was the best he could do". Well he didn't really do anything at all actually, just made the two tires equally out of line. They then charged me $90 before giving back my keys. Fast forward to a year later. And learning how to adjust my alignment more or less myself I was magically able to eliminate the camber. Something that a tire shop couldn't do? Either the man that worked on my car didn't know how to do his job or he was just lazy. Now i wish i would have gone somewhere else. Because they were not able to fix my alignment I went through 2 brand new snow tires that costed me $240 plus the $90 for them "fixing my car". Now i just hope people don't fall into the same trap I did. But I'm sure not everyone that works there is like this so you may have a better experience than I did.
I had just finished packing to head to Utah when I found that one of my headlights was out on my car. I knew I had to fix it before leaving and there was a big storm that was heading into town. I was pressed for time. I called Clair & Dees tiers about ten minutes before they closed. They were very kind and stayed open to fix my light. As if that wasn't enough, I then asked then about my tires and they also put two tiers on for me. They are kind and honest people; I would go there again. I highly recommend it! .
Amazing job solving a tricky problem during our Yellowstone trip--a tire blowout and damaged wheel from road edge dropoff. No Toyota dealer or other tire dealer in 150 miles found a matching wheel for us, but Paula at Rexburg Point S did, and fast!
Customer Service Done Right! I got quoted and excellent price over the phone for a snow tire change. Apparently they needed to charge me more because there was miscommunication over the phone (because they didn't realize that I had new tires). I was a little bummed but knew that I wouldn't have gotten it much cheaper anywhere else or perhaps not done in the same day. Anyways, as Jared(I think) was ringing me up he was very nice and I explained to him my concern. He explained why they charged more and I explained that my tires a year ago with my vehicle. He offered me the original price and helped make it a very positive experience to earn my business.
I also got great advice on my transmission fluid that saved me $100 where another popular lube place in town was going to charge me to get another transmission flush with only 10,000 miles on my transmission fluid. Stand up service. They have earned me as a customer!

I have been really impressed with the way that the staff at Clair and Dee's treated me. We had our timing belt replaced, along with our water pump for a great price. They dropped my car off at work for me too, which was great. A week later, my wife and I drove down to Salt Lake, parked the car and came back out and heard a noise that didn't sound quite right coming from in and around where the belts are located. We called Clair and Dee's the next morning and mentioned the noise. They had the car towed to the nearest Tire Factory affiliate in Salt Lake where they assessed the noise and fixed the issue that was causing it. I really appreciate how Clair and Dee's handled this, they went out of their way to make sure that we were still mobile during the weekend by paying for a rental (it was my wife's birthday that day!). They honored the warranty that they had placed on the work they had done, and although they personally were not able to be down in Salt lake to asses the issue, they promptly got us to someone who could, and made sure that everything was taken care of and our car was back on the road. Because of the way we were treated, we will be heading back to Clair and Dee's in the future. Good customer service wins lifelong customers.
We had just finished dinner at the Hickory and found that we had a flat tire. So we called up Clair and Dee s Point S at 5:58 pm ( two minutes to their closing time.) and to our rescue came their mechanic Dallen with a smile and as polite as can be, pumped our tire and got us to their shop to diagnose the problem. Fixed it in 10 minutes and had on our way. Top quality customer service and reasonable price. #Worth_it !

Had another experience this week in which there was a miscommunication between what type of service I needed. Clair and Dee resolved it even though it was both of our fault. They then helped me find the best solution to the real problem. No business is perfect, but I keep coming back because of value they place of their customers. I ll keep coming back to them.

I brought my car in to get checked because I heard grinding while pushing on the brakes. They check them and said they were just dirty and didn't charge me anything at all! It would have cost about 20 bucks, glad they didn't scam me for a problem I didn't have :)
We had to bring our car in a few times because our wheel has had issues, and this last time they replaced the part that broke again free of charge. They were very nice and helpful and took good care of us!

One of my tires was making a weird hissing sound and was looking low on air. I took it in and asked if they could take a look at it and find what the problem was. While they also couldn't find an issue they were very friendly and helpful. They talked with me about what they tried and what they found/didn't find. Bonus: they didn't charge me!
A lot of miscommunication between what I believe was the mechanic, the front desk and myself. But it worked out.
I wanted a small weld done on one of my control arms because one of the anchors for the bolts had broken off when I was trying to remove it. It didn't need to be neat, I just needed the weld done. I also needed them to just take a peek at my drive-side rear suspension. They said it would be $75 for the weld and they found nothing in the rear suspension. That's way too much for just a weld! I asked why it was so much. They described how they would have to clean up the JB Weld that I had applied to it before coming in and for the apparent welding expenses. I asked What if I go clean it and come back? Still $75.
Due to my previous 1 star review, they reached out to me and asked why I had posted such a bad review. I explained what happened. Then the caller went on to teach me a life lesson on how much my time was worth and how buying parts from other people and doing the labor yourself isn't a good idea because they offer warranties for their labor and parts. I tried telling him that I got my own parts and made sure that they had their own warranties, but he cut me off. I appreciate the thought, but I didn't need it.
Later the caller told me that the $75 would have included a 3 point inspection. No one had told me that. And, when asking the mechanic, the mechanic did in fact weld the part that I needed welding. Again, no one told me that.
The entire time at the shop and when on the phone I felt like they were trying to justify how expensive a weld can be and how much effort goes into it. I understand that there is some cleaning that goes into it, but I didn't need it pretty or perfect. I was removing that old part anyway.
Overall, I got what I originally asked for: a small weld. But I do feel bad because they had welded it without me knowing and I didn't pay for it. I still felt they were unfriendly, and there was a lot of miscommunication.
We have to thank the crew so very much. On our way north to Yellowstone from Arizona, we blew a tire. The next day we stopped in to have the spare replaced and one other tire only to find a third tire that needed replacement. On the way back we felt we needed the front tires balanced to find we actually needed a fourth tire. All of this was happening with a road schedule, Cruise America on the phone to obtain various approvals. The crew moved forward each time as fast as they could get us on the road, immediately right off the road getting us in, feeding us popcorn, and working to keep things moving. Both Ron's were great at moving things along, the guys in the back were like Santa's elves just working away non-stop. Thanks all.
I came in, after driving my truck 800 miles from Southern California, thinking I needed a quick alignment due to noise, wear, and steering issues. Ron and the staff were amazing. Set me up with a loaner car and went to work. They found I had a shot wheel bearing and had me back on the road in 2 hours. Fair price and great service! I am glad they found the problem in Rexburg, instead of me finding it 8 hours later in the middle of the desert waiting for a tow truck...
Fair pricing and helpful, friendly staff. They came to me when my tire blew out in the snow and helped me change it. When I got to the shop they had 4 tires for my car and changed and balanced them in less than an hour.
My vehicle is always serviced in a reasonable amount of time by competent people. I feel confident driving my car, knowing that it is taken care of by a good local business.

After a pretty poor experience I left upset and determined not to come back to this establishment. The owner called me personally to apologize for the service that I had received and offered me a refund. The owner did everything in his power to make things right. At the end of the day I would recommend this establishment to my friends and family.
Beware women. Guy with black hair is sexist. He treated me like i was completely stupid and like i didnt even know air went into tires. He told me that they were the best and cheapest in town. Not knowing that my Dad owns a shop in florda i ended up just walking out. BTW they are not the best in town. And they will never get my money.
They were very patient with us as we had our own parts to fix our truck. After many different trips back and forth to stores, they were willing to work with us. Paula was very helpful and patient with our situation. They are fast and reliable.

My mom took 2 cars ( a truck & SUV) in to get her snow tires on. They didn't inform her that they were unable to get the tires on, on her SUV due to no lugnuts. She waited 2+ hours which was not the problem. The problems were that her truck has a tarp to cover the bed of the truck and they tore it. And because they didn't put the tires on her SUV she had to go in again. When she went back in she was told that they did not have lugnuts. She then requested to speak with someone else (because we'd called to complain the night before and they told us to go back in). And they then were able to get her tires on. She lives 30 min. away so it was an inconvenience to go again, especially if they did have lugnuts available for her to purchase the first time around. Which was what we were told when we called to complain.
Im giving them 3 stars because while they did help us out. They tore the tarp, it was an inconvenience, and it just seemed like the employee(s) didn't want to work and put the tires on... So it was ok. We might give them another chance in the future.
They have done great service on flat tires, mounting tires, tire alignments, and brake line fixes. They offer great service and at a good price. Usually they don't take too much time if you don't hit them when they're swamped, but even then you usually get your car looked at within an hour.
I really appreciate the very professional, yet personal way they helped me. Taylor is always ready to get whatever problem I have fixed so that I get get back to work. Plus I really do think they are extremely honest in their work. When I wonder about getting new tires the guys at the shop have told me that I don't need them and have given me advice for taking care of my current tires. They don't just try to sell stuff to sell stuff, they really care about the people they serve. I appreciate how they have taken care of me and my family for years and look forward to many more years of their excellent service.
Claire and D's works their best to take care of you. Once when I came in at the end of the day, it took over an hour to check a tire. Because if the wait, they gave me a free oil change and tire rotation on my next visit. I feel like they value the customer experience.
Clair & Dee's Point S provided quality service after our car broke down on a road trip. Our car would not hold a charge, so Merrill came with a battery-pack and helped us make it to the shop immediately. Not many mechanics will do that. The car was repaired within the same day. Thank you!
We were on vacation from Texas and had a flat on a small, country, dirt road. We stopped in a Clair And Dee's in Rexburg prepared your buy a new tire, but Alberto and the store owner looked at the flat tire and said they could patch it no problem. They even pulled me to the back and showed me the patch, explained what he was doing, and put a extra layer to ensure it was properly reinforced. They had every opportunity to take advantage of travelers a long way from home. Everyone from the counter workers, shop guys, to the owner were friendly and helpful.
