The staff here is very friendly. I am not very knowledgeable about cars, and they are always very patient with me. I do not feel pressured into buying things that I do not need, and I feel that I can trust the mechanics here.
My wife and I have used Clair and Dee's a lot since coming to college. Paula at the front has taken care of us and been honest with helping us know what needs fixed on our vehicles. Great all-around service!

Last April (2015) I was in need of getting new tires for my Mazda Protege. Because of my work I drive all over the country and I really wanted to get something that would have a quiet rolling noise and would last long. Ron set me up with Cooper CS5 ultra touring tires.
With in the last year, I have driven through blizzards in the rocky mountain pass, across the country to New Jersey and back, through a few east coast rain storms and a good old fashion Rexburg winter. To add to that I'm from Oregon and drive in wet conditions all the time and every time the weather is less then ideal, I'm greatfull for the tires I got from Clair Dees.
I have been very pleased with the Cooper CS5 ultra touring tires and Clair Dees customer service. Once I had a flat in Rexburg and they fixed it free of charge. I would give a solid two thumbs up to Clair Dees.

They let me know my tires were getting bald, and that I needed new ones. They also did a really good job at changing our oil, and letting us know of any issues to be aware of with our car. They have a very friendly staff and are able to get you in quickly. I will continue to go here because of their amazing staff and great quality.
I recently bought new tires for my wife's car. Chris Cornelius knew exactly what would be best for my "Hot Rod" wife and for my car. The tires had to be special ordered. Two days later the car and tires were hand delivered to my doorstep. I got great tires at very fair price and the service was superb. Less than 3000 miles later one of the new tires picked up a nail and was ruined. When I drove into Clair and Dee's with my little spare tire showing Ryan came running over, carried the ruined tire and rim into the shop, special ordered a new tire, and completely warrantied the new tire. They did way more than I expected. This is the first time I have ever posted a review on the internet. I will never buy tires any other place. Clair and Dee's are "Good People" who I know will take good care of me.
Shopped around for new brakes, they were the cheapest by far in town. Finished quickly and offered to give me a ride somewhere else while the service was being completed. Will definitely come back for anything else I need

Went in asking for a full alignment and an estimate on something I needed to be reattached to my car. I left with half an alignment (when the other half needed it more), and a quote for a new part (not what i asked for). It felt like they were being lazy and only trying to get my money. Nothing I asked for was done and I did not feel like they were trying to help me.
UPDATE: They did call me back to try to explain to me how I was wrong. I was not upset about the fact that they couldn't do it. I was upset that they didn't let me know before they continued working on my car. While on the phone with the owner of the establishment he never once apologized even though he could clearly see I was upset. He even tried to blame it on his mechanic at one point. I had to end the conversation short because we were not getting anywhere. I would not ever go there seeing as how the OWNER himself acted like a child on the phone.

These guys are honest and knowledgeable. They diagnosed a problem that I had for more than a year in my car. One of the supporters in the engine mount was damaged which caused the car to vibrate. I inquired about this problem at two other car repair shops previously and was diagnosed other issues but not the real problem. I'm happy with their work done so far.

Went in for a tire rotation and alignment and they found that my tire rod end was worn out. Because it was going to take time to fix they drove me and my 8 month pregnant wife to a restaurant so we could wait the two hours somewhere comfortable. They were helpful and generous. I only knock them down a couple stars because they only rotated one side of my car.
Did a great job at a great price. I go to a lot of places that see that I'm a girl and assume I don't know much about cars. Clair and Dee's listened to me and were quick to help. They also didn't try to trick me into paying for more service.

From out of town (Texas), I needed an odd set of tires for my Ford Flex, Walmart and other stores wanted me to wait 2 days for them to be delivered, Their estimated cost about $1k. I walked out of this shop with a virtually new (slightly used, but still had the "nubs" on them)set of tires for $400 !!!. Couldn't be more surprised or pleased with their honesty and professionalism. If I am ever in Rexburg again and need my car serviced (or anyone I know who asks) these guys are where I will go first.
I just got a screw taken out of my tire, they were quick and affordable. Branden took care of me and the customer service was great! I highly recommend Clair & Dees Tire Factory, I will be definitely be using them in the future!

Excellent experience each time I go there. The first time I called Clair and Dee's the owner picked up the phone. This place isn't run by some guy in a suit smoking a cigar in New York but by a real person. Dallen takes great care of me each time. I had an alignment done, but my car still wouldn't drive straight. I called within a few days and they aligned it again free of charge. Very pleased with the service.
They have gone out of their way to help me figure things out, doing things unconventional to most mechanics. My experience didn't start off great, but seeing my disappointment they contacted me immediately. They took care of me, and they did what they could to make up for some of my disappointment. I felt like they dodged some of the issues that happened, but they were honest mistakes and it was nice enough for them to talk to me about them. They are great people and seem honest and hardworking. I recommend them to anyone. Ron is great, if you can talk to him. Merrill was a really nice, down to earth guy that is really hardworking. They want to do things right and help.
Replaced my upper and lower ball joints as well as my inner and outer tie rods myself, came here for an alignment and my steering wheel that was strait when it went in came out crooked. Went back and they fixed it, kinda doubting their other work if they overlook the first step in an alignment
I bought tires here and they have been great. Since then I got a nail in my tire and they patched it for free. I have also gotten oil changes here and they are always great to work with. They are professional and fast. Both the receptionists and the mechanics treated me like a valued customer.
Got in quick. Got out quick. Very nice folks. Needed some body work, which they don't do, but they recommended someone for us. Came in cheaper than the estimate too. We didn't need it, but the shuttle service is very cool.

They took great care of me. I went in to get a tire fixed and they noticed that my tires were pretty much bald and managed to get me a set of very expensive new tires for a much lower price. Every time I have gone there they have been honest, reliable and the cheapest place in town. Somewhere quoted me on brake pads 3 times what they charged me. Recommend to college students and locals. They even have a car you can use while your car is being fixed. I was able to go get food and run errands. Great business.

Had steering wheel shake at highway speeds. Took it in to Point S. They balanced my wheels and did an alignment. Problem fixed! They were very nice and fast. They also kept me updated in the lobby as I waited. Nice guys. It did not seem like the kind of shop that likes to up sale people who don't know better.

Clair and Dee s gives excellent service and is a great place to bring your car for tires, oil changes, and mechanical repair. They provide both quality and low prices. I would recommend going to them early because of their popularity it can get pretty busy. The only negative I experience I ve had with them is that they charge $50 to run a diagnostic on your engine. They will waive the fee if you decide to get the repair done, but this was not communicated to me when I brought my vehicle in. Fortunately they were kind enough to waive the fee for me as I was not prepared to make the repair that day. Good people.

I would definitely recommend going to Clair and Dees for any service needed. They go out of their way to make sure you are helped and satisfied with their service. I had a low tire pressure light go on when it shouldn't have and they drove down to Idaho falls the same day to get the part and fixed it for free. They always do a great job and get things done quickly!

When I first reviewed Clair & Dee's, my review was based off of the story of a disgruntled employee who had been fired. This former-employee is a good friend of mine, so I trusted his story without question. Within only a few hours of originally posting my review of this story, however, a representative from Clair & Dee's contacted me directly and explained the whole story. For them to reach out to me so quickly, I knew that they care about their business. I can only assume they care about their customers in a like manner; I have yet to make any personal purchase from them (though I have had family members use their services extensively). This said, though, I have no reservations in going to them for any automotive needs.
They have always been fast and more than fair. I brought two cars on to have alignments done on after a ball joint snapped and it was only marginally out of alignment so they didn't even charge me for the inspection or adjustment. The second car I purchased used and was pulling to the right so I took it in and again it was a near perfect alignment so they crossed the tires and it leveled it out again for no charge. If you need any tires or work done claire and dees is the place to go without question.
The first experience we had was alright I guess. We had to get an expensive repair done from them only to break down on the highway in the middle of the night. Come to find out the mechanic we had failed to properly reconnect the fuel line so the van was literally spilling fuel everywhere until it was all gone.
The second time we took our van in for a diagnostic, they quoted us for $7k to get the car fixed. I wanted a rundown of the costs just to fix the biggest problem at-hand and they still quoted us for $7k even though I made it clear I wanted to know the cost just for that one repair. I took home the list from the diagnostic and the actual repairs needed for that particular problem made up maybe a fourth of the list. Other repairs supposedly needed included things we had just replaced (which makes no sense) and some other stuff they just tack on like an oil change and radiator flush.
We feel zero desire to take our car back there for anything ever again. I do like that they can give you rides to and from the shop when they re done with the repairs. Customer service besides yesterday s experience has been mostly positive. Nice people.
Always nice about things and send me texts when I should be in for a tuneup. They are extremely convenient for when you are busy.
It was nice to not have to worry. The service was great even gave me a ride home so I wouldn't have to sit there for hours while working on my car. They even took some off my total which was a blessing to me. Thank you.

I went to Clair and Dee's for a socket replacement for our turning signal bulb and Dallen at Clair and Dee's was so helpful. It took a little work to get the parts that worked for our particular car and Dallen bent over backwards to help us find the most cost-efficient part with the shortest delivery time. Our car broke down in Rexburg due to a bad alternator. We called them and they immediately came to our location, hooked up our car to a battery pack and got us over to their shop. They were able to figure out the lifetime warranty on our alternator and so we just paid for the service of replacing the alternator. They were very kind, efficient, and did a great job at a fair price. Thank you very much for your help!

This is an update to my original post. Just to recap: My wife, daughter, and I were stranded in Utah, trying to find a mechanic that could correct a mistake Clair & Dee's made so that we could get home. We were told a couple of days before our trip that our car was good to go and it wasn't. Luckily, we were able to find a great mechanic that could fix the problem so that fixed our car enough to get home and have Clair & Dee's correct their mistake on the parts that were under warranty.
After reading my initial post, where I stated "AVOID CLAIR & DEE'S LIKE THE PLAGUE." and "They are just there to steal your money and run with it." (I originally rated one star). Clair & Dee's worked hard to try and make it all up to me. They replaced the two faulty parts at no extra cost and reimbursed me $350 of my $868 bill from the auto shop in Utah.
I appreciate that Clair & Dee's was willing to admit and fix their mistake. I still think that there could be a better attention to detail on the part of the mechanics, but I will admit that I am a little more likely to try going to them again in the future. Thank you, Clair & Dee's for your honesty and willingness to make things right.

I was not treated like a valued customer. If u want your oil changed, DON'T COME HERE. Was told a price and it was way above it. They say it's because they do an inspection.... So they said my tires are bad. No they're not lol. At all. Liars and unfriendly people working here.
Was about to put money in an air pump to refill my slowly leaking tire when one of the employees came by and said "you know, we do that for you for free at our place."
They aired up the tires and I had them fix the leak because they did it for a low price. On top of that we got a free bag of popcorn to entertain the kids and a free soccer ball for my 2 year old. Seems like a good place to go to me.
