Took my car their for an alignment and they didn't do anything to it, they just sent it back. Drives the exact same.

We were sold a car with locking wheels, but no one had a key. When it was time to change the tires we went to several dealerships and tire shops in 3 different states and no one could help us. Thankfully, we were referred to Clair & Dee's in Rexburg. Even though they were swamped with customers Chris and his team took care of us. I am incredibly grateful for their professionalism and willingness to take on the job when no one else would. I wish I could give them a 10 Stars rating!

So, I found out I had a flat tire and Taylor Cornelius and Paula Villeneuve were super helpful. They got me along quick and were some of the friendliest people I have ever met at a auto service shop. The atmosphere is really nice there and I am definitely coming back here if something else goes wrong with my car

Today was my first experience with Clair and Dee's. I went in hoping to replace my Interstate battery that was less than a year old and had quit on me for no particular reason. They ran a free alternator test for me and gave me a new battery at no charge. I only had to pay a small installation fee less than $14.00. I was very pleased with their customer service. They were quick, thorough, and friendly while helping me. They have my trust. I definitely will be back again when I need other services.

Awesome customer service! Quoted me the price for 4 tires and found the best deal for my budget. They got my car right in and let me use a loaner to run errands. So much better than sitting in the shop waiting for an hour. Brandon and Jaden were both very kind, honest, and helpful. I would definitely recommend Clair & Dee's!

We needed a wheel adjustment, and we told them that we only wanted to get a 2 wheel adjustment, because the 4 was too expensive. They said that was OK. After checking it out they said that we needed a 4 wheel adjustment. My wife and I wanted to leave and look at other places, but they put a lot of pressure on us to do it, so we did. I asked if they would fill my tires with air, and they said they would. When I got home I realized they didn't.

Great Customer service, and price is right. Can't ask for anything more.

They were very helpful and understanding. When I described my concerns they were willing to work with me and didn't charge me extra for the extra labor. I would definitely go back!

We were travelling and had eight hours ahead of us and noticed that we had two bad tires on the trailer we were pulling. My husband took the trailer to Clair and Dee's Point S and they took care of everything. The price was reasonable and the service was great. We did not wait long and the two tires were changed out and we were on our way.

Their customer service was amazing. Andrew was the one that worked on my car. He did everything he could to make sure my car was working properly before I left. He made sure we took it on a couple of test drives to determine it was working and to identify the problem. I was impressed by how detailed oriented he was. The wait to get an alignment was starting to back up but I never felt like he was rushing or didn t have the time to work on my car. Everyone at Clair and Dee s that I worked with were genuine and worked hard to identify the issue. They were personable and easy to work with. Was very impressed by the customer service! Highly recommend going to them.

Service here was great! Kalli helped me on my first visit and got me set up with some new winter tires that were within my budget and would help me with the extensive driving I'll be doing this winter. Dallen was there when I came and got them on. Knowledgeable, honest, and kind people work here!

For several years I've enjoyed using the car wash and vacuums so when I bought a "new to me car" I decided to have them do a wheel alignment. There was a misunderstanding that was eventually worked out between me and some employees. They have very good management!

My wife and had a good experience with this company. Friendly staff and got our car out in a decent timing. Had a simple oil change. Would reccomend here for anyone seeking a decent mechanic

Quick and easy! No wait times, great service. Amazing all around!

We went to Clair and Dee's when we saw from Stone's Automotive that we couldn't pay their price to fix our car, Nissan Altima 1996. Don't get me wrong, Stones has knowledgeable caring people and great care on cars.They are in my opinion, a top notch, high class automotive place. Stones does have great business, but as a poor college student we couldn't afford it.

Stones wanted to charge us $1,197.69 to fix our exhaust pipe (muffler and tail pipe assembly, remove and replace), remove and replace our axle shaft-automatic trans right side, front axle. And also fix our Intake Manifold Gasket. This all included labor.

So we went to Clair and Dee's where they put us right at ease. They took us into their work space to show us what they would do and the tools they would use to fix our muffler and we were quite pleased to see that they cared about us and our car by showing us these things.
They fixed all the above in one day and charged us $595.76 and they even sent one of their men to pick my husband up from BYU-I campus so that he could pay and pick up our fixed car before they closed for the day. (For we only have one car between us. And wouldn't get there in time by walking).

We are very pleased with their honest work and their quality customer service.

We will definitely be going back to them, most likely for tires before next winter.

I came into Clair & Dee's with a problem and they were kind, helpful, and knowledgeable. Their customer service was greatly appreciated after a hellish semester. I would recommend this shop for this reason and because of their warranty plans.

If you're looking for quality and someone that backs their service and products Clair and Dees is a great place! The employees know what they're doing and have been doing it for years!

Recently I had a water pump and timing belt replaced by Claire and Dee's. While driving home to Utah this last Christmas (2014) one of the new parts failed. I called them up and told them what happened. They had me drive to a nearby Tire Factory where a mechanic promptly assessed the situation. The repair would not be able to be completed until the next day, so they paid for us (my wife and me) to stay in a nice hotel for the night, gave us a ride to the hotel, and reimbursed us for the money we spent on food. Also, the new parts were covered under the manufacturer's warranty, so the cost of the new parts and labor were all taken care of. I didn't have to pay a dime.

Certainly Clair and Dee's took extremely good care of us even though the failed part was not their fault. We will certainly continue to do business with them, and highly recommend them to anyone looking for an honest auto mechanic in the Rexburg area. I also bought new tires from them a few months ago and was very happy with the service and price.

Charged me $70 to tell me they couldn't put my winter tires on without a key. I've heard great things about them but my experience was poor. I waited for about an hour and then they told me my tires were ready, charged me and when I got into my car my original set was still on the car.

Oil changes, just show up. I work with them for any repairs and especially tires. They are fast, friendly, and professional.

I had the WORST experience at this location. They somehow put my oil filter on wrong and I was leaking oil heavily for a week before I noticed and took it in to be redone. I also had them put on my summer tires, and just today when my husband tried to take them off to put my winter ones on, 2 of 5 of the lug nut studs on the first wheel broke off because they'd overtightened them so much.
These are both simple, routine things. I cannot believe how badly they messed them up!! I will never go there again and I definitely do not recommend anyone else does.
Now I'm without a car until we can pay for and fix what they broke.

Great Service! Super Fast. I've recently had them put on a new exhaust and put new tires on my 06' Corolla. Both jobs were done hours before expected. I will use them for ANYTHING automotive from now on.

The biggest things I look for when taking my car in are; Quality of the work, time frame of the work, and of course price. Clair & Dee's nails all three! Don't take your ride anywhere else.

Before you spend too much money here get a second opinion.

Something was seriously wrong with my car, so I took it here and they told me my clutch and brakes were bad. As well as a 100 other problems. I'm broke so I didn't fix it right there in the spot.

A couple months later I took my car to Ethan's Honest Automotive in Logan, UT (Which I would highly recommend) and he told me nothing was wrong with any of the issues Point S brought up. All he had to do was drain my battery to reset my computer system and it fixed every problem I was having.

Now don't attack me because they're not a "Mechanic Shop" they're just a tire shop. If they're going to claim to be able to fix a big car issue on the mechanical side they should be able to do it and not work every last dime out of someone.

Edit: (After Response) I am no trained mechanic, I threw my best guess out there as to what might be wrong with my car. I wanted you to figure it out for me, but you grasped onto what I thought was wrong and used it for your gain. 7 Months have passed since I have written this review, I've added another 25,000 miles to my car, which is the circumference of the entire globe. I have no longer needed to take my car into a mechanic (after Ethan's Honest) for anything other than oil changes and tire rotations. That doesn't sound like a clutch that needs to be replaced.

If your mechanics have a combined number of years equal to 100 and they are making these rudimentary mistakes, it might be time to find some new mechanics.

Probably the worst place I've taken my car to in a long time. The mechanic didn't know anything about cars and told me I should pay $2k to fix my car, when he wasn't even sure what was wrong with it!

Mr. And Mrs. Thueson the most wonderful people we have ever met. They allowed us to park in there lot during the eclipse. Everyone that works there are so friendly and helpful Ryan and Cathon are super! Words are hard to find in discribing how well we were treated by them. I was passing through Rexburg this summer and had a problem with my trailer. Clair and Dee's fixed it up quickly and cheaply. I would go back there in a heart beat and highly recommend them.

They have helped me so much over the past few weeks with my car! Paula and Dallen have been great at explain everything that is wrong and how they will fix it. I will always take my car here!

There automatic car wash is junk. It spayed soap on the car then rinsed it off with dirt still on the car.

Went in for new tires and have been back for everything else ever since!! Good prices and always willing to help with whatever. Would reccommend to everyone!

After a weekend of off roading my truck wasn't running very well and it had a hard time shifting for a couple days. They let me know the shifting was temporary and they ended up fixing my exhaust which was the reason it was rattling. I was worried that the fix would be expensive but ended up only costing $70! Amazing prices and the service is great. I came in late and they still helped me even though they were wrapping up! I most definitely recommend their service!

I have taken my car to Clair and Dee s a few times to get repaired. They have always done s stellar job. They are fast and very reasonable with what they charge.
The last time I took my car in the shifter didn t work. They sent a tech to my home and tore into the shifter until they were able to shift with the cable. They drove my car to the shop. This was on a Saturday. They diagnosed the problem and called a dealership for the part. It was back ordered with no estimated ship date. None available in the United States.
Monday morning they found one at a salvage yard and I was driving my car on Wednesday. The best surprise was a bill under $400.
Through the whole process I was kept informed of the status at each step.

Horrible. I went in asking for a two wheel alignment. They agreed and gave me a quote for a two wheel alignment. They decided to give me a four wheel alignment without telling me when I specifically told them that I didn't want a four wheel alignment. They then forced me to pay for what I did not ask for, and then told me that I could bring the car in after I replaced my rear suspension and they'd do a free alignment. When I came back in, they proceeded to argue with me for 20 mins about the deal they made and said they would have to charge me an additional $50 for another alignment, bringing my total to $130 instead of the $50 that I was originally quoted. After arguing with me for 20 minutes, they finally decided to go and ask the person who dealt with me the first time, who then confirmed what I originally stated. I eventually got what I asked for, but not until after the headache I suffered because of their poor customer service. I will never EVER go back.

My daughter broke down in front of Clair and Dee's. The staff ran out and assisted her, had her issued repaired and had her on her way in no time. Their service oriented actions went above and beyond normal business expectation. Huge shout out to the management who had the foresight to hire such quality people and train and allow them to become such commendable employees!

This place is horrible. I will never go here again and wish I never had. My alternator went out, and I knew that was the issue, but they swore the problem was with my battery. My car died by the time I got home and I had to go back the next day. They finally changed the alternator and didn't refund me for the battery. I ended up paying a few hundred bucks more than necessary. Don't come here. They'll rob you.

They're pretty good. Friendly staff. I've only had them switch from winter to summer tires and back.
This past time, my front two summer tires were bald so I asked them to keep the back two and trash the front two. Fast forward to summer I have one bald front tire and one good back tire.

Initially I wrote a review suspecting their honesty. The company thus called me with some explanations.

There was a lot of miscommunication that led to my suspicions. They do a little extra compared to other repair shops which makes it a better job but more expensive. With that in mind, don't be afraid to ask questions when charged with certain things. Customer service is great but the repairs are on the more expensive side.

Oh my goodness what a fantastic shop. Had a bad tire on my truck at Mountain Home, ID and they couldn't get a tire for me so they sent me to Clair and Dee's point S tire shop. The service was fabulous, thank you Taylor, and price was very reasonable. It has got to be the most honest tire shop I have been to. Really if you have any tire problems you have got to go there first. They are the best.

Just moved to Idaho from California and was having trouble with my truck. This auto shop not only made sure I got the best price but made sure I wasn t spending more than I should. The customer service is by far the best I have ever experienced while dealing with an auto shop. 5/5 stars. Will be coming back regularulary for all my auto care needs.

I have never had a bad experience here. The first time something went seriously wrong with my car I brought it here and they had it squared away the same day, just in time for a huge road trip. They've been so good to my car I come here every time for oil changes too. They're exceptionally good at what they do.

Hand washed the work truck..very good water pressure.. Little tight to pull a trailer thru but doable

Can't say enough about the service at Clair and Dee's. They'll squeeze you in even when they're slammed, they'll let you know what's broken and how much it will be before doing the work and they work with you to cut down the price whenever possible. Scrupulously honest, they stick to their quotes and they do quality work. I do all my car maintenance here.

Over the past 2 years I've taken 3 different vehicles here. Every time I've gotten great service! They went the extra mile when I needed new tires and found me a great deal. My oil changes (scheduled ahead of time) are always fast.

They have always treated us very very well. And they can always be trusted, that's why we go there.

EDIT: Ron called me to go over my review with me and explain why things were handled the way they were. He made sure I had a game plan to move forward with my car regardless of me getting work done with them.

I brought my car in to have them diagnose why my engine was getting little to no crank. I explained that I personally replaced the entire ignition system within the past year, and that prior to my car not starting, it either had a misfire or poor compression. They took a look at it, and gave me a call to confirm that I had low engine compression.

The next step they offered to take was to look at the timing belt, but they said there was no guarantee that it was the problem. The price to look at (not fix) the timing belt? $800 just for labor. I said I wanted to hold off on that for the time being, so they said I could come pick up my car. I thought I understood on the phone call that they said they could help tow my car home, but that was a misunderstanding. When I got to the store they said they could get me connected with a towing company but that they wouldn t personally do it.

The only way my car starts right now is with jumper cables (takes like 5-10 minutes still) or push starting it and popping it into gear. No one working offered to help jump start my car or help push start it, so I eventually came back with a friend to push start it. After about three tries to push start my car with no success, I looked in my engine bay to see that they had removed my spark plugs and never put them back in after they had already made me pay $75 for the diagnosis. When I let them know that they didn t put my car back together after they personally pulled the plugs out, I was told that they would get them back in after they finished up their other appointments.

Long story short, I paid $75 to confirm what I already knew about the condition of my engine compression and to have them pull my spark plugs without putting them back in.

My husband called three days ago to schedule an appointment to have a few things fixed on our car. He was the FIRST car to show up on Saturday morning at 7:45 AM to have our car worked on. They took 5 HOURS and they still didn t get everything done that we wanted. Seriously- terrible service. Like 8 people came and left before our car was done. This SAME service where we lived in Utah took 2 hrs... and they took 5 and didn t even finish what we asked them to. Never coming back, such a waste of our time.

Clair & Dee's is great! Everyone there was super nice! Taylor and Jaden are working brothers within the same business which tells me they're family oriented and honest people.

I went in to get an alignment done on my car since I felt I was long over due. I never had one done since I bought my car a little over two years ago. Andrew, one of the mechanics, did an alignment check for me. He was super kind as he explained things about my car that was simple for me to understand. He wasn't bothered as I asked him countless questions about my car. He was so accommodating, he willingly checked my fluids since I had concerns about those too. He showed me where to look and what to look for. Thankfully he did, because I wasn't aware that my car desperately needed my rear differential fluid replaced. It had metal shavings in it that would have been a nightmare to deal with later in future repairs. I'm super grateful for him to take the time to answer my questions and to have checked my fluids.

I highly recommend to go to them because they treat their customers well and do great work!

Terrible experience. Called in and set up an appointment. Went in and they had no record of it. Tried to tell them what was wrong and what we tried to fix it but they just cut us off and said "we'll just figure it out in diagnostics." After the diagnostics they told us the solution was something we'd already done. Overall they have very poor communication skills. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone

I've been a customer of Clair & Dee's for the past 20+ Years. They have always treated me right whether it be with new tires, oil changes, or repair work. I especially love their free popcorn and friendly staff. I will definitely continue using them in the future. The Thueson family has been a staple in Rexburg and we love to support local businesses.
