I was referred to Captain Green Solar by a friend of mine as he was very happy with the team from Captain Green Solar. So I contacted them with regards to getting a Solar System installed. They supplied all the documentation which allowed me to make my decision. The job was booked in for the following week. The guys arrived on time and the job went without issue. I am very happy with y solar solution and am keen to start seeing its benefits.

Worth service I have seen.first they did make problem for installing. After 10 month (August 2020) I found they did not install part of inverters. Wifi is missed and they don t cate doe it. I did contact manufacture and supplier for solving this problem and still they are working on it! Problem has not fixed yet!

I ordered a system. Paid a deposit. They never turned up on the instal date. Ask to rearrange a new date, which I did, they called when they no showed a second time. I cancelled out. They whole process seemed poorly managed.

Easy to deal with. Prompt and helpful. On the day the team was respectful of our place and listened to our preferences regarding the panel placement and discussed alternatives and their pros and cons.

Got a quote from 3 different companies. Captain Green was in the middle with pricing, went ahead with them due to the excellent knowledge base of the Sales staff. Installation was done in 4 weeks without any hiccups. The electricians were professional and answered all of my questions. Would recommend to friends and family.

I did not install due to the advice by these guys. I have significant Council restrictions and wanted to place solar panel on a certain side of my house. However, the guys in the Brisbane office advised me that it would not be value for money. When Council get their head out of their.... I will be getting in touch with these guys.

All went extremely well. I'm in remote NW Tasmania and despite me taking a long time to think, consider and reconsider, once I decided to go ahead it was a smooth and unrushed process. Everything went well and I believe I was given great advice and a good solar setup at a very competitive price and a long 10yr warranty on panels and inverters. Thank you Captain!

Very disappointed with this company. Signed my contract with them early Oct, was told take 4-6 weeks, but nothing happed before new year, although I have been keep chasing... at end they told me my roof if too high, I either to pay $600 more to get installed or cancel the order!!! really?! after three month!!! had to cancel my order, stay away from this company.

After reading some less than happy old reviews I was a little worried ! I was contacted by Sam,advised when the install was going through (4 weeks from signing )the guys from bright earth electrical came up on the day and did an outstanding professional job of the install even in the strong winds we were encountering nothing was too much trouble iam very impressed with the quality of the panels and fitment I couldn't be happier!

Customer service is terrible. They missed to send some important papers to my energy provider so I missed on all the feed from Jan to April. My energy provider informed me about the papers while updating my plan. Same story of providing a quick installation but awefull basic post installation service.

Had a great experience, excellent price, good sales, management, installation. The system works, very happy.

My electricity bills have gone up muh higher since I put solar with this company . They did not even resolve this issue, when I called they asked f9r my bills and have never contacted me back nor helped me at all. Just ignored and disappeared. They promised they will help but did not honour their world. Very poor customer service with a lady who promises alot but does nothing.

Super fast installation for us, From initial phone call to installation was about 5 days - Very easy to deal with over the phone and in all everything has gone smooth. Contractors fitting the system were super fast and professional. Adding to this review after 3 months from initial installation - Everything is running perfectly as expected, I highly recommend installing the "Fronius" inverter. It may cost a little more but it most certainly gets the job done above and beyond.

We tried one company first, they said it could be installed but then the guys on the day said it couldn't, I got a refund. Tried Captain Green Solar and they delivered. From Andrew in the sales Team to then dealing with Samia in customer care for our state (SA), they have proved themselves to be a great Team that I'm happy to recommend to.

The electrical guys on the day were great as well, informed me of our roof issues (120 year old home) and we worked out a way to make it still happen.

Flicked the switch and our metre went crazy!! Great job, very happy!

After multiple quotes I decided to call captain green I spoke with Damien Eades. He was very understanding and professional and made me feel comin my choice. Our system was installed within 2 weeks and the contractors they used were very professional as well. Damien called to check how the process was after installation and if I had any other questions. I would highly recommend Damien at captain green solar.

Had a great experience with Captain Green Solar from sales to installation. The Salesperson was very informative and helpful with any questions I had. I got two further quotes from others and one came back double the price of what I was quoted with Captain Green for a smaller system. They were ready to install only one week after I signed the papers - however it rained so it was pushed back one further week - the installers were on time and friendly and very helpful. Cannot fault. Cannot wait now to see how much I am going to save on my bill.

Had my system installed 6 weeks ago and have been waiting for a technician to come as it is not working correctly. Have emailed over 4 times and have been promised that a technician will come today and yesterday to make an adjustment to our inverter but another day has passed and once again no technician. When they have got your money they seem uninterested in getting our system up and running correctly. Not happy.

Fantastic experience from start to finish with this company. The whole process was so easy, the sales team were excellent answering all my questions. The installation was a breeze, the panels look so neat and tidy on the roof. All for a great competitive price. We live at a little town called Molong in the central west and wanted to get solar on our roof so I called up Captain Green Solar and spoke to Damien.
I found his professionalism and customer service to be exceptional and so decided to go with Captain Green Solar to get our 6.1 kW system installed. Approximately 3 Weeks Later the guys came out and within a few hours the 20 panels were installed on the roof of our shed. The job was done very well and the control panel and box was hardwired in by a licensed electrician and we were very happy with the work.
We would definitely recommend Captain Green Solar to anyone considering looking after themselves and the environment.
We know that within 3 years this system will have paid itself off!
We can't wait this company highly enough!

Quick installation, reasonable price, proper after sales service so far like quick response on preparing forms to send to energy provider for digital meter.
What they did not do and I had found about it a year before was shades by trees nearby on my roof. They went ahead and installed and advised me to cut some canopy of a tree in my neighbor's yard. That is ok, but it means you should do your own research on how much sun you get before calling captain green for installation.

Excellent Service & product. Answered all my questions promptly and politely. Installation was done immediately. Very efficient and professional. All in all great product and great service. You cant go wrong with Captain Green Solar.

Got 5.94kw system.salesman was great to deal with not pushy.took about 3 and half weeks from putting deposit down due to paper work etc.came out installed system nonprobs apart from arvo rain came back 2 days later finished system is great producing alot more than I thought and was told already got a elect bill 130 normally 400 last bill same time was 395 not bad overall didn't have any probs got extended warrenty card sent took 4 5 weeks.. ended up getting 2 more panels put on to 6.48kw came and done would recommend ASK for colin.

Extremely poor customer service.
Had a 6.6KW system installed, there was no phone call prior to the installers turning up. Lucky I was home at the time.
System installation seemed to go well, although very little instruction or information provided. It seems that these guys are "Just" Contractors and get the jobs done as quickly as possible.
Then the trouble starts. The paperwork was submitted to SolarConnections to make the necessary changes to the metering.
This has now been rejected three times! Each time takes a matter of weeks!
It has to be submitted, then when it is rejected you have to try to contact Captain Green and they have to then ask the contractor to complete new documents and then they get resubmitted to SolarConnections.

I would recommend making sure that all paperwork is submitted and correct before paying them.

I now have to wait for them to contact the installers and resubmit the paperwork for the 4th time

Very happy with Captain Green Solar. Jay and his offsider Josh installed my solar system last week. The guys went out of their way to make sure the installation was exactly as I wanted and none of it was a hassle. Jay suggested options which would increase the life of the inverter which was great. The guys worked hard for the whole day installing the system which was appreciated. Would recommend to friends and family.

WARNING DO NOT DEAL WITH THIS COMPANY, Lots of promises but communication or return phone calls are non existent.

I had used this company before to install a system a few years back and found them to be really good, sadly this time round has been the worst experience ever. After some delays, I get told the Trina panels I ordered were not available and then offered another product in my view cheaper, then once the installers turned up I couldn't communicate with them as no one spoke any English and turned up without the appropriate ladders for a 2 storey installation. They were really heavy on their feet and rough with the equipment, so much so they broke 8 roof tiles. Even though I had spare tiles they didn't tell me, just wanted to silicone them until I could see them and demanded they be replaced. Not sure how many are broken that I cant see under the panels.

Once the panel were installed the installers disappeared, no information no inverter, no paperwork, nothing. After many phone calls on my part I finally got a response. I got lots of excuses and promises that it would be finished in a timely manner but words are easy to say when you don't mean them.

10 days later someone turns up and installs the inverter and says all working. Well it isn't working, the inverter installed is dead and does not power on. Again more phone calls and more excuses. I was even told that the inverter needed to be charged before it would activate.? Again more lies and the problem still continues. It really shouldn't be this hard but the deadline I gave them to fix it has now passed and I'll be demanding the removal of their panels so I can deal with a more reputable company, Ill then be contacting the office of Fair trading (Clean Energy Council) and lodging a formal complaint about this company so others are aware of their shonky practices.

Very Professional, Can,t say enough about the company as they made it very easy from the sales staff in Andrew to the customer Care in Ditti as well as all the installers as they were all so polite & helpful so i would recommend them to anyone wishing to get their solar systems with good value for money. Good pre-installation check conducted to avoid on-site issues and prompt and reliable installation.

It's been 6 months since I reported my panels have failed - still under warranty! They have had 3 independent installers come to my house in Perth - confirm that the solar panels are faulty with snail trails on 17 of the 20 panels. Still I wait for Luke and others who all say they will get back to me, but never do.
Cost me about $1200- off my electricity bill that I will never get back - constantly calling them for no action.

The guys from captain green were fantastic, on time, professional. They didn t charge any extra hidden costs, the product is exactly what they state they are going to give. The price was extremely reasonable compared to other companies. They placed the panels quickly and in the most effective place to avoid shade. I have had them running now for 2 months and they are perfect. Highly recommend to anyone looking for panels.

Have used Captain Green Solar twice now and both times have had a great experience. The boys knew what they were doing and were great in explaining it all. Would use again.

No problems at all. They installed quality systems, Sunny Boy inverter and Jinko panels. 6.6 kw system for 5400. I was so happy with their service, that I also used them again to install on my investment property. They use local contractors, so the work performed was a credit to the contractor -

When the time came to finally install a solar system on our roof the search for a reputable installer began. A neighour had had a good experience with Captain Green, so despite the -corny name, we invited them to quote. They inspired confidence from the first phone call, the price was good and installation was quick; less than a month. We have found that the Zeversolar app for the phone is just too hard for my ageing brain to decipher. Captain Green weren't so helpful here, just referring us to Zeversolar although they did forward a Zeversolar YouTube link. Still no good for me though. Too dumb. I really wish someone from Captain Green would have offered to step me through it all. But overall a painless experience with Captain Green. I highly recommend them.

I got my solar system installed in June from Captain Green. They were extremely helpful during the sales/quoting process (especially Dominic). Installation was smooth and product was as described, previously another installer had told me it was impossible to fit this size system on my roof but Captain Green arrived and did their work professionally and as promised. Customer service was above and beyond, recommend them to anyone thinking of getting a solar system.

I was impressed with the efficiency of the install team. I wasn't impressed at being rescheduled for installation 3 times. Still highly recommended.

I recently bought a 10kw. I was asked to send photos of the roof and my electricity box panel. I asked if photos i sent were ok. I was told great. Captain green then installed my system with as minimum of fuss. My concerns are. After installation i was informed that my electricity box panel needed to be updated so the new solar meter would fit. Not ever having solar before, i had no idea.I would have thought captain green would have informed me of this after looking over the photos I sent them & prior to installation. My system cost $7500 and now im up for $1700 to $2000 more to get the already installed system up and running. Don't get me wrong. Captain green products are ok. Im just a bit upset the way it was all handled the way they took my money knowing i was up for a further lump sum.Captain green could only say sorry and offered a possibility of giving a $100 gift card.

Great company to deal with. Dipti was very thorough and extremely helpful with advise and design I now have a 7.4kw system comprising of 20 jinko 370 watt panels and a 6kw grow watt inverter.

Whilst the inverter is on the cheaper side of others it performs well and see an average of 25kwh per day in winter. System has only been up for 2weeks and has already produced 400kwh.

Intalation was very professional and the team were friendly to deal with.

Excellent experience with Saad and his team from Captain Green from start to finish, and i'm an extremely fussy architect who is difficult to please! They gave me an excellent price, products, service and installation. Osman from OJE electrical was superb on site. Highly recommend these guys.

Recommended by the neighbours as they seem to have done nearly everyone s solar in our area. We can see why by the quality of work, speed of install and exceptional pricing. Really neat install and they were aware of now having panels overlapping roof lines as it doesn t look right . Couldn t recommend enough.

Very disappointed with our solar. We were hooked up 4 weeks ago and they didn t have the inverter.(plus they failed to inform us that there was one less panel) So after chasing them for a week, they finally installed the wrong inverter, again hoping we wouldn t notice. Anyway they said that we would be hooked up to the grid and we didn t have to do anything more. This week, we contacted our energy provider and we are not hooked up as the paper work hasn t been sent in by them. Very disappointed to say the least as we have been under the impression that we were all hooked up and ready to start saving. Also the communication is really bad, you need to call several times in order to get any sort of response. So I would stay clear of this company.

Had my solar system installed a couple of months ago and I wanted to wait and see the energy generated. Very happy with my last bill, as its decreased by more than half of what is was!

I do not recommend this company. They suppose to install 32 panel but installed 31 panels. They sent general labour with no experience instead of professional and qualified tradesmen.
I asked them for licences and they became upset and left site on first day.
They made 1 month delay on their job. I didn t go to work for 6 days because each day their labour came and after one hour left job.
Even their labour s couldn t put tiles back properly!!!!
At the end I did report it to fair-trading and ACCC(watch fog).
Never use this company!!!!!!!!

I was very happy that I chose Captain Green to install my 6.5 KW solar system , from the initial contact to final installation was a very smooth and easy process . They answered all of my questions and concerns promptly. The accredited installers turned up on time and finished the whole job in around 6 1/2 hours . The system works great even for winter time with the low sun in the sky . The Jinko panels look great with the black edging blending with the existing grey roof tiles. They even gave me an extended warranty 5 year parts and labour for signing up straight a away. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Captain Green for your new solar system

While your system uses reputable brands, it is priced at the lower end of the spectrum. However, the quality of your installation workers was sensational - definitely '5-star'! Thanks for a great system that will not only be great for the environment but will pay itself off within 3 years.

Got around 4 quotes, they weren't the cheapest but I signed up with them due to them being established for a fair while. To my surprise a week before the installation I was offered a free upgrade to the ABB 10 from 8.5. The team that rocked up were great and explained every aspect of the system. Now just need to wait for my next bill, fingers crossed ! Give these guys a go you won't be disappointed

Good experience with Captain Green. Have used them twice now. Knowledgeable and informative sales people who are not too pushy. Clear communications around the solar installation process, inclusions and next steps both Pre and Post Sales. Would recommend them to anyone considering solar panels.

I had Captain Green install a 6.4 kW (24 panels) just over 12 months ago. Installation was quick and all I expected at an economical price for the central west. (Orange)
After 12 months 365 days the system has generated on average 29 kW per day. Some days as little as 5 kW and many days at 45kw + .
So an average of 29 kW seems to be excellent to me. Even if it was what I expected to get it is pleasing to be right for once.
No problems good price, good install, good result after a year of use so I give them a 5 star rating.

Extremely frustrating to deal with Captain Green Solar. They tried to install less panels and, not the brand quoted and the process for warranty was unprofessional too. DO NOT DEAL WITH THEM

Told my elderly parents and me that we had been approved for the government rebate, we didn't understand the process well enough, we were caught out having to pay the full amount. Captain Solar told us a number of times that we had been approved for the rebate over the phone. I am now trying to organise a refund for the second order I've put though with no response. Bad exprience from dodge operators.

Ok so Wow. We used captain green for installation on our local scout hall for 10kw. They installed it to the wrong meter and now we have had 6 months of payment to someone else on the other meter. The installation date was May 2019. It is now 1 year later and our system is still not connected. They may say some bulldust about captain green not recognising who i am below but i will warn captain Green in this message right now that i have some corspondense from them that ties them to this review and therefore any blatant disregard of this message will be used in court.

Pathetic. Poor quality workmanship. No care taken when installing- even sticker was put on crooked. Bernard Achampong- electrician did a dodgy job and captain green paid another electrician to fix his sub standard work (apparently not the first time) Might be alright with qualified electrician with an ounce of care for others property- but watch then every step of the way. Deeply regret going with captain solar.

Scammers. There are plenty of other solar companies out there. DO NOT USE THIS ONE. I was awaiting the panels to be installed for 2 months (it took 3 months to get to this point) to then receive a phone call stating that I would need to pay an extra $1500 to proceed as they had not installed the panels on a tiled roof before. I have been reading through other comments below and it seems that this is something they do to con the customer into using their company. I tried to contact custom care a multitude of times, to which I had no response and no return phone call. I finally got a hold of the "sales manager" who said if I do not want to pay the extra then i could take my business elsewhere. Just do not use these guys, not worth the time and hassle. I am now 6 months in from starting with these guys and I have no solar and back to square one.

Very disappointing. I did not expect this level of sub standard service. Every stage of my solar installation since I paid the deposit needed my follow up actually multiple follow ups. If I hadn't follow up then the solar wouldn't have been installed by them. Even now when I am writing this review I am struggling to get my solar properly connected to the grid. Its been about 7 weeks since the panels were installed and I am feeding free power to the grid. The bonus for me is to follow up on the paper work which is supposed to be properly done by Captain green. But was never the case, every time I had to follow up. It is a shame that even third world companies would do the service faster and efficient than this.

I thoroughly recommend Captain Green the service was top class the instillation team did a great job and the girls on the phones where fantastic. Thanks you Captain Green for a great price and service.

I choose Captain Green Solar after a few comparisons.I am confident of my choice mainly because of the sales consultant, SAAD who has been very patient with me and contactable ( I contacted him several times ) He explained to me all that I asked for and did assured me of the quality of the product. We ordered our System in July 2017 (6.48 kw). It took until December to get the installation completed but as we are in a regional center this is normal for just about everything unfortunately. The install was completed by Bilal and his team who were very professional and obliging. They fully cleaned up any packaging left over and took it away. I received a full explanation of the system and its operation from Bilal. A very good experience dealing with Captain Green, totally happy with the product and the crew we have dealt with. Great Job.

Worst in Customer Service.....Most of the Customer Support staff sounds to be rude, more than 6 weeks to install.......Unless you chase follow up nothing happen.......Worst customer service that I have seen in Australia in the last 10 years.....No responsible person when you call thier office....!!1Better stay away..

No problems. Bit surprised really with all the horror stories you hear but it was an install in a house that had good access and they carried out the job with no issues. System seems to be working well. Neighbour has a microinverter system which we don't have but we seem to be getting similar daily kWh.

I called a several Solar companies prior to selecting Captain Green Solar. I spoke to Matthew and he explained the process very clearly, gave me the pricing indication and sent me the quotation on the same day (unlike others who took around a week to just provide a quotation)
Within less than a week of selecting their service, a date was scheduled for installation. Communication was excellent and documents were to the point.
Installation team was friendly and professional. We were working from home on the day and they got the work done with minimum interruptions. Also, didn't break any roof tiles :) . Explained everything that we need to do after.
Within a week post-installation, all warranties were sent via email.
The panels are working as expected. Checking my Electricity account, I've already started to see how it would reduce my bill. But it's too early to come in to conclusions regarding that.
Overall Captain Green Solar is highly recommended.

Recommended by over a dozen people at my place of work. They all had good dealings and were very happy with there installs.
Waited a few months after deposit for solar to be installed, but i guess it was christmas and they are very busy.
Slight miss communication with number of panels but very happy that captain green has offered to install the additional pannels free of charge to ensure a happy customer.
Contract installers did a wonderful job, very polite and professional.
