This is the 9th year that I have been here and it is truly magical. The room options are fantastic, the amenities are more than necessary and the staff is and has been helpful above and beyond. Beaver Run offers everything that you would need for a weekend getaway or an extended stay. It offers conference rooms. The resort is located right next to a ski lift. Secured garage parking is offered as well at no additional cost. I would highly recommend Beaver Run.

Mixed might be the best way to sum up our thoughts on Beaver Run.
We came here for a wedding that was hosted at the resort.
The location is gorgeous, and you ll get interesting views from most angles. The staff for making and adjusting reservations was fast and courteous.
Upon arrival, check-in was slow (as was check-out) as the front desk seems understaffed - possibly not expecting any guests in the Summer months?
They have notices posted at the front desk that none of the rooms have A/C, because it gets so cold at night. That might fly in the Winter, where I m guessing they do most of their business, but if that s their position then they should close for the summer.
Speaking of the rooms, they re fine, clean but not exceptional, with older furnishings and fixtures. Related to the above about catering to Winter customers, the in-room heaters are kept on all year with some sort of pilot light, meaning that the summer months verge on unbearable, especially if you have North-facing windows. My wife burned her foot on the heater bar because the bed was shoved right up against it.
The actual venues for the resort (restaurants, etc) are all fine, but not great. Spencer s, the main restaurant, does a decent breakfast, and the breakfast buffet is maybe the best meal we ate at the resort.
Their main market/shop was out of some key amenities (like sunscreen. in June), and we ended up having to go into town a number of times. (Again, I get catering to Winter, but it seems to be at the price of the Summer customers).
The ballroom where the wedding reception was held were a little run-down, and a little run-down might describe the whole resort, sadly.
The one unequivocally nice part was the pool and hottubs. They were in good condition, and great in the evenings.
Overall, I could see Beaver Run being fine for a ski trip, where you re spending more time on the slopes than in the resort, but maybe stay somewhere else during the Summer. Or perhaps, given that it seemed cheaper than surrounding resorts, you get what you pay for.

Beaver Run Resort in Breckenridge, Colorado is the place to stay if you plan on going to that area. The rooms, bathrooms, and beds are very clean. Right when you walk out the door you step onto the snow, and you can go skiing. The spa area in this resort is very clean, and you can get pampered all day long.

Our experience with Beaver Run was mediocre. We booked a room in Building 4 in October for our first year wedding anniversary. When we arrived at the resort, we were informed building 4 was unavailable due to a water problem and we would need to stay in a different building. We chose building 4 for two reasons; we wanted a mountain side view and it was the newest, most updated facility out of the four run by the resort. We were offered rooms in building 2, which were older. As there were no better options, we reluctantly accepted the downgrade and asked for a discount. The worker at the front desk was rather impolite and failed to address our concern in a professional way. Sure enough, there were issues with the room were moved to. The dishwasher was falling out of it's housing, the lights were broken in one of the rooms. We received room service once out of the 4 nights we stayed.

The management did respond to our feedback about noisy neighbors and offered an upgraded room to get us to stay additional nights, which we ended up doing. Security did respond promptly, but nothing could be done about our stolen necklace by housekeeping. -- Dishonest housekeeper, dated rooms, resort. Lack of air conditioning, bathrooms need updated also. -- Yes, Chris at the front desk. You need to change the structure of this question. The way it is worded , prompts a yes or no answer. -- more shuttle buses for faster service. We waited anywhere from 5 minutes to almost 20. -- The housekeeper came into our room with a DND sign up and stole a necklace. The adjoining room door was thin and could hear our neighbors. The management did upgrade and move us, which was a very nice gesture and the right thing to do.

Old coffee grounds left in coffee maker in our room, no cream or sugar stocked...other wise, room was to our standards...although much smaller than it appears in pics on website lol.
Half the games in the arcade didn't work but took your money off your card anyway.
Spencer's restaurant located in the resort was horrible...highly over priced and we waited almost an hour after ordering lunch to be served moldy tomatoes slices with hamburgers that also had moldy buns, the chicken strips were grey...visibly old and freezer burnt. However, the restaurant manager was very apologetic and took care of the bill. He was unaware of what was being sent out of the kitchen and assured us that he would have an immediate talk with the kitchen manager.

Rooms were upgraded from my previous visit a few years ago, and are updated with new furniture and carpeting. I was impressed with the Colorado Suite. Had nice furniture and amazing bathroom with bathtub and sit down shower. The room also includes a wood burning fire place and suppose to have a balcony.
This is when I ran into a few issues, we were on the ground level and the balcony goes out directly to grass and a public walkway about 5 ft in front of the door. None of the rooms have a.c. which is alright since it's a mountain town and you can open the windows. This suite did not have windows though, just a door to the balcony (walk out door to path, no fence or anything keeping it private). The screen door to the balcony was broken, it would not lock and it had a big gap between the screen and the frame when it was shut. After 30 min with the door open and screen closed bugs were getting in the room. Had maintenance come and they said they couldn't fixed it but was able to get a new room after waiting a couple hours.
Got switched to the 1 bedroom suite which was an improvement with a larger room and bed and windows with screens. The bathroom was a downgrade and it included a giant closet that must be for skis and snow gear but much larger than necessary.
Overall the staff was great to work with, heard this was one the busiest summer weekends and they were friendly the whole time.

I'm torn by this place, on one hand its beautiful, fun and a awesome experience, but on the other hand it feels like a scam staying here, every thing has odd little fees that add up, then I have pay 1.00$ a game to play billiards that can only be used in a area that a keycard in required, but will I stay again yes.

Although we have skied Colorado for 10 years this is only our second summer visit. Usually our family has shied away from big resorts, opting for smaller condos or VRBO town homes. Beaver Run Resort has me rethinking that strategy. There is a wide variety of floor plans, almost too many to pick from. Our unit in building four is a good mix of hotel/condo layout in 2 adjoining rooms. There are only 2 adults and 2 kids in our party and we could have slept 4 more. We got 2 rooms because I hate the idea of being in a standard hotel room but I would have been fine with the bigger room which had a large common area with a fold out sofa, large kitchen bar and dining room table. The smaller room is a more traditional hotel style with a microwave and fridge but also has a separate large garden tub that would be great for soaks during ski season. Looks to have been updated recently and is on par with the offerings we have seen on our ski vacations-wood floors, carpet, granite tops, tile work, furniture all in good repair and the unit is very clean. Most outstanding has been the service we have received. From the parking lot guy to the front desk people, the maintenance guy and security guy who made multiple visits to our room for minor issues (unlock adjoining doors, key card didn't work, couldn't figure out how to turn on mini fridge (breaker was off), hot tub jet fell off). I should add that these calls came from my 8 y.o., but they responded anyway-quickly and with smiles. They even brought my wife a portable air conditioner (we are from Louisiana and she was SURE we would need it. Onsite dining is nice as well. Great food and excellent service. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is the parking. There is a lot of parking but none of it near building four where we are staying. The two small lots are consistently full. They do have a garage with a breezeway to 4 that I haven't tried. I had to park down the street behind the main building which is not a problem in the summer but would be a long walk in the cold. This is a minor issue not a deal breaker.

My husband had a conference at Beaver Run, so we made it a family getaway weekend with our 3-year-old. Our visit started very nicely. There was a long line for check-in, but the front desk employees moved very quickly and we got checked in in less than 10 minutes.
We stayed in the Breckenridge Studio and it was just like the photos and had all the amenities we needed with a spectacular view. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable, but the mattress on the sofa sleeper needs replacing as we could feel every coil in it. There was a microwave/convection oven, which was convenient to have.
Housekeeping was very quick to respond when we requested more towels and new bed linens for the sofa sleeper on our second night.
We utilized the pools, hot tubs, arcade, bar, and store in the hotel. It was very convenient that all the buildings are connected by a sky walkway, especially in the 30 degree weather.
The pools were well kept up and the pool areas were spotless. The hotel provides plenty of pool towels to use, which are large and absorbent. These can be found poolside.
The arcade definitely needs some improvement. There were quite a few games, but we had an issue with a few of them: 1. The basketball toss needs new basketballs as the ones there are deflated and some had torn. 2. The big wheel game took $2 without letting us play and I couldn't find anyone to help us. 3. The putt-putt course is pretty boring with many of the courses having buckling in the carpet. There are also no numbering on the holes and no score cards, so it's not a traditional game you'd play. 4. There is definitely room for more games and it'd be nice to have some games/activities for toddlers. On the positive side, many of the games award tickets that get put on your game card and there is a prize vending machine to redeem tickets.
The store was nice to have, but be cautious of what you buy. The Life Water costs $5 a bottle; we can get that at a gas stations for less than $2!
Overall, it is a nice hotel, but I would research other hotels to see what they offer, especially for little ones.

Beaver Run is everything I've ever dreamed of. A huge, gorgeous suite, pools and hot tubs in just about every building, and a complimentary shuttle service. I wish I could live here for the rest of my life.
This is my second time staying at this resort. Bo...
This is my second time staying at this resort. Both times I have had issues. The staff is not helpful and seems bothered if you have a question or an issue that needs addressed. I have to stay here for work so another hotel isn't an option at this point. The facilities are old and dated. The carpet is stained and in need of repair. The buildings are connected by skywalks and are very confusing and maze like, making navigation difficult. The first time I stayed here the parking lots were full and I had to park down the block in another lot. I had to go to the front desk and be given an hanging tag. I parked where they told me and the next morning my car had been towed. The front desk manager argued with me that it was my fault despite the fact I explained to her that her staff provided instructions and a hanging tag. After 300 dollars, a shuttle ride and being late to the airport... the manager would do nothing. Finally after 2 months, multiple phone calls and sending a copies of the front desk issued car tag... I finally was reimbursed JUST for the towing charge. Recently I needed something shipped to the hotel for work prior to my arrival. I spoke to the front desk TWICE to inquire about the process etc. When my package finally arrived and I went to pick it up from the front desk, I was informed there would be a 10 dollar charge for the receiving of my package!!!! I explained this was never told to me in the two times I spoke to the front desk about this process and it was a ridiculous charge! The front desk girl was rude and condescending and basically I gave up and paid the 10 dollars. I feel this hotel does not understand the concept of customer service. While I am here for work, I could only image if I had planned a lovely and very expensive vacation for my family only to have issues like this consistently occur with this facility. I will say the the manager at the coffee shop on the first level is fabulous!! Friendly and helpful ALWAYS!!!! He is the one saving grace of this very consistently disappointing resort!

The overall layout of the resort, with all the different buildings and levels was very confusing. I stayed on the second floor of Bldg 1, so I parked my car on Level 2 in the parking garage, thinking my room would be nearby. But I ended up in Bldg 2 when I left the garage. I had to take a different elevator up and across then down to reach my floor. I never did find the skywalk over the road, so each time I wanted to go to the main building, I had to cross the street, which I think is quite dangerous. A better site map would be helpful, along with maps placed on the walls near elevators. And please add signage to the doors leading to the garage, indicating access to the garage.

Available through CCTA -- Lauren at the front desk was foul and extremely rude to the people she was training as well as the guests checking in beside me. The hotel is very outdated. -- Jay at the front desk was wonderful. He even helped us with our luggage. Will at Spencer's was an incredible server. -- Base nine wasn't open during our stay. And they two little stores in the resort have bizarre hours. Convenience is key and the resort is not convenient. -- Outdated -- I pay through CCTA and they always charge top dollar

I have no idea how this hotel got such a high rating on multiple sites. Save your money and go elsewhere. This was supposed to be a romantic weekend get away for my wife and I but the hotel ended up being a tremendous disappointment. I ll walk you through it. Started off by getting in late on Friday night after work. We were welcomed to Beaver Run by waiting in line for 10-15 minutes while the one (unfriendly) employee assisted the people in front of me. There were only two people though and one of them just had a quick question. Multiple other employees came through the front desk area but none offered to help. After finally finding the unmarked, barely lit parking garage in the next building over, we hauled our stuff through the habit trail to our room. We walked in to discover it was set to bake . The thermostat was quickly turned down but it was sweltering through out the night. No sooner to did we sink into the trenches on either side of the matteress and turned out the light we realized that the door had about a 1.5 gap between the bottom of the door and the floor. Pillows were hastily erected to form a light and sound barrier. Speaking of sound- have you ever wondered what it would be like to stay in a hotel where you can hear every word, door closing, and movement of the other guests while there is a kids karate tournament at the hotel?? You are in luck because this Beaver Run offers you that opportunity! Between the 40 year old bed that tried to suck you in and left you sore and miserable in the morning, the noise, and the heat we barely slept either night.
On Saturday morning we walked down the hill to town and enjoyed a nice morning in Breck. We saw that there were Beaver Run buses running around town but had not been told that they were available. Step 1 in hotel management: Inform your guests of all the ammenities. When we got back to the hotel I went to the front desk to ask about the shuttle. I waited in line yet again, gave up and looked for a flyer on the buses to see if there was info. It said go the front desk. Of course it would. Because mentioning times and pickups in a convenient way would have been too hard. We ended up catching the bus as we walked out and spoke with the driver. It was actually a very conveinent service. Would not have known it though from the information provided.
The antiquated room must have had a previous history in the adult film industry. Looking past the aged kitcenette and worn out furniture, the spa dominated the room. It was quite literally a small tub (they Jacuizzi but I think thats strectching it a bit) in its own, glassed in room, in the middle of the unit. It went door/bed/shower/ sitting area. It had a creepy ass mirror on one side and chrome (I am not kidding) blinds that didn t actually close all the way. When it time to use the shower (the head came out of the ceiling and was supposed to fall in the tub) it was discovered that the head could not be aimed into the tub. It would flood the room intead. So that was fun.
Clearly this hotel holds appeal because of the supposed ski in/ out access (it is hillside). But the odd layout would make it a pain in the ass to carry anything more then a paper back book through the resort. I cannot say enough negative things about this hotel. It is a horrible hotel in desperate need of friendly employees and a major renovation (both units and common areas). Save your money and go elsewhere. We seriously considered going to a different hotel the second night but for another $170 on top of what I had already paid was not feasible.

Withheld info that would have been very important considering we have 3 kiddos 6 and under. I new it was between seasons that's why I asked the question I did and Beaver run Resort just lied to us about amenities, services, and when I called the front desk (was only once, wasn't being the crazy call every 5 minutes person) left a message and was never called back. Non-existent customer service, no indoor pool, elevator out of service (luggage for 3 kiddos, a wife, and myself to carry), and though there was suppose to have one food vender on location they apparently made there open hours as they were closed during there regular operating hours. Biggest disappointment would have to be don't tell me you have ALL these thing available if you don't it just don't know.

The property is showing its age and lack of re-investment. Our room was dirty.
In both bathrooms of our condo unit, the sink and shower faucets were missing pieces. I had to use two hands to turn my shower on because the faucet handle would barely turn.
The carpet is stained in a dozen places in each bedroom, someone's hair other than mine keeps appearing, and there is trash from previous guests beneath the furniture.
This resort must survive solely on its location and relatively affordable(?) rates.
