I bought my pickup from Baxter Ford on August 30th. There was an "outfitters rebate" from Ford, that would match any amount spent on accessories. I confirmed that a toolbox and trailer hitch would qualify, purchased them, and gave the receipts to my salesman the day I signed paperwork. I still have not received this rebate. I have called my salesman 3 times, he said he would get back with me each time, but he never did. I then called and spoke with the operator, who transferred me twice to someone who was supposed to be in charge of rebates, I left two voicemails for her, and never heard back. After a few more days, I called and asked to talk to the general manager, I was told he would check into it, but I never heard back. Three days later, I called, was given a worthless excuse, and was told he would know in a few days. After a few days, I called again, was told he hadn't heard anything, but that he would get back with me. I still have not heard back. This is not the way to deal with a customer. It is hard to believe that Ford Motor Company, or Baxter Ford, would offer a rebate, and not honor it, especially when it is a five hundred dollar rebate on a seventy thousand dollar pickup.

BAXTER DOES NOT STAND BY THE USED CARS THEY SELL. DO NOT BUY A USED CAR FROM THIS COMPANY!!! They sell un-safe cars and do not care about their used car customers.They took advantage of a disabled woman!!!

5 DAYS after buying a 2003 Hyundai Sante Fe, The car started sputtering and almost died while driving on the interstate. I immediately called the sales man and he told me to bring the car in.
I am disabled (which the salesman knew of) and due to blizzards and frigidly cold temps I was unable to bring the car in until I was physically able to. When I was on my way to get the car looked at I called the salesman to let him know I was coming and he said that I waited too long and he would have to talk to his manager and call me back. NO ONE has called me back. In the meantime I have had a few estimates done on the car.
When I was test driving this car with my daughter and the salesman I had asked him if an oil change or any other regular maintenance would have to be done on the car because I was on a fixed income. The sales man said, "You wont have a thing to worry about."
I have been told that the motor is possibly out but in order to find out I would have to get the initial sputtering fixed first since this car has only been running on two cylinders since I bought it.
The estimates are as follows:

Replace Ignition coil and Sparg plugs $354.20
Replace Engine valve cover gaskets $273.01
Replace BOTH AXLE SHAFTS!!!! $634.77

REPLACE MOTOR $5000.00!!!!!!

Baxter LIED to me and took advantage of me! I understand that used cars are sold as is but I trusted this salesman and this company and they LIED to me about condition of this car and they do not care to waste time on a disabled used car customer!!!

You can purchase a Ford product at a lot of Other places in the Omaha metro area, I d recommend you do that. I don t even know if the people out at Baxter Ford even believe I n the product they sell because they sure don t stand behind it. The service department is atrocious, different faces every time you go in and no body seems to take any pride in customer service. Get em in, get the money, get them out.

Honestly, very disappointed with this dealership. As many years as we've serviced both of our vehicles here and the fact that I've leased my last two Explorers from Baxter, I felt absolutely no loyalty whatsoever this past weekend as we visited to look at another vehicle. We also specifically told them what payment we did NOT want to go over AND that we would be looking for another vehicle soon for my husband.

We waited probably 15 minutes for the sales person to come back with a price sheet. Even if we put $2,000 down on the vehicle, it would have exceeded the amount we informed him we would not go over. While I get that a down payment reduces the size of the payment, I would never put $2,000 down on a leased vehicle as it wouldn't save much money on the overall ownership of the leased vehicle and I would get zero value or return out of it.

They were matter-of-fact about the price and they were not going to budge and did not even consider any other negotiation. They tried to put me in a vehicle that I did not ask for (heated steering wheel & seats, leather seats, turbo, and not even the color I requested.

They simply showed zero interest or loyalty in our business. A sure-fire way to lose any future business.

My salesperson was Ross Kehm and compared to the last Ford dealership salesperson I dealt with about a month ago, Ross was a godsend. He was incredibly well versed in each of the vehicles I was interested in and had great, informative answers for all of my questions. He was very friendly and easy to speak with. Truth be told, everyone I encountered at Baxter Ford West Dodge were courteous and kind, but back to Ross. He also helped me get an amazing deal on the right car for me (he knew what I was interested in and didn't try and steer me toward something I didn't want) as well as getting what I wanted for the car I was trading in. You can be sure the next vehicle I get will be through Ross or at the very least this dealership.

I felt that i was being held " Captive" with the salesman.
I was firm that i did not want to trade my vehicle and wanted to get on with my day.
Fast forward to yesterday, i brought in a different van i own for a factory recall and had the rear brakes replaced while it was there.

I recently had my car serviced at this location. Roy Paden was my Service Advisor. I was very pleased with everything! This is the only dealership in the Omaha area where I have my car serviced. I definitely recommend this dealership and Roy Paden.

One of those where if I could give ZERO STARS I would. Their customer service for the service department was worse than horrid. Bunch of kids back there working and sounds like we re one of MANY that have experienced this...
Took the truck in to get a part replaced which they had to order. Fine.
Two weeks later, no follow up call in between, we call them and we re out on hold for over 17 minutes. After finally getting a person to help, they tell us the part was in a few days ago, but the service rep helping us was no longer with them... no kidding?!
So when asked if we could bring in the next day to get serviced, we ask for a loaner and are told we have to arrive at 7am in order to make sure we get a truck... which btw, the original service appointment was scheduled for 7am and they did not bring the truck in until 7:25.
Word of advice Baxter, when you have an employee quit or get fired, follow up on their clients.
Do NOT recommend.

Awful in sales and service. I ve had nothing but problems here. They handled the transfer of a fleet vehicle for my company and it was a circus that went on for over a month with lost and delayed paperwork.
Try scheduling service or driving in for service yourself. That s another fiasco if you choose to subject yourself to it. They obviously have enough business and choose not to accommodate any further business. Save yourself the time and go elsewhere for any need you have.

2/4/19 Update - just tried to book service for a recall item on my vehicle. I can get in 3+ weeks from now on 2/27 or 3/4. This place somehow has plenty of business. go somewhere else where you can actually be accommodated

I needed several simple parts for broken vacuum hoses and connections that go to the wastegate located on the turbos on my 2012 F-150 3.5L Ecoboost XLT. I brought the broken components into Baxter Fords parts service counter be identified and purchased. Reason for going to the dealership parts department was I wanted OEM parts. The parts counter employee at the approximate time of 2:00 P.M on Monday Dec 11 was completely uneducated in in the entire process of identifying the needed parts and looking up specific parts diagrams or understanding what the parts were. The employee asked a fellow employee who also had no idea and walked away. Eventually, an entire assembly of the vacuum lines and connections was found. I explained I needed only several components. Apparently, they can t do that and have to sell the entire assembly which was over $140.00. I explained that is not needed and left and traveled to the NAPA store in Elkhorn. The parts specialist immediately identified what was needed. 5 minutes later after looking up the part, acquiring it and paying $4.00 I was out the door. I may have not gotten OEM exactly, but I was assisted with an educated parts specialist that could actually troubleshoot a problem. I do not even know if Baxter Ford has an ASE Certified parts specialist as no certification was located anywhere at the counter that I could see. Take the information as is. Do your research before purchasing ridiculously marked up parts from uneducated Ford Dealership employees.

The service department employees are rude an don't offer much assistance when you pull in. I have now had my oil changed there for the last time. My vehicle started leaking oil after one of my oil changes and I found that the filter was lose. I asked them to clean the residual oil, and verify that it was the filter that I could turn by hand. They also told me I needed new break pads. I don't! Had them do some warranty body work. That body work only lasted a year. While they did the body work they ran my battery down so much so, that it would not hold a charge. They did buy me a new battery. However, during my last visit. I now have an oil leak, my breaks (which have not been replaced) are fine, but I need a new battery. They usually wash you vehicle after a service, this time they did not and charged me just over $44. To change the oil.

Update: after posting my original review, I promptly received a call from Baxter and they were very eager to rectify any and all issues I had. They were also kind enough to assist with the cost of any and all repairs related to an oil leak/changes. They have also offered to repair/correct the original body work they did. I will be taking my car back for those repairs and will continue to use Baxter in the future. It's nice to know that businesses do read reviews and care about customer service. Kudos Baxter! And thank you Don Murray. Your sincere appreciation for my business and yours is rare this day in age.

If you want a fantastic salesman ask for Gage Eden.His patience was outstanding and he found a truck for my husband that was perfect for him with none of the extra bells and whistles that my husband didn't want.Also Matt the sales manager was just as wonderful to work with.Neither of these guys were pushy but made sure we walked out of their happy.Will always buy ford.

Today I went back because I'm trying to sell a vehicle and I dealt with a Matthew. I wish I would have gotten his last name but I did not. Even though I could not make a deal with then today, Matthew was very helpful and polite in the offer Baxter gave. Ambrose was an awesome salesperson. Helped us find exactly what we wanted and advocated for us. However, the manager went back on his original price offer charging us $1k more. The service department only completed half the repairs we requested before taking our truck home. So, we had to wait for the repairs to be completed. Then one week after signing the papers, the finance manager calls and says they are changing the terms of our financing and payment will go up. In short, the salesperson was great but management could use improvement.

(Is it really? ) Then Clint said they have had it long enough that it may go to auction soon and he believes they could get what they have in it. Maybe so and good for him (if that's really what they have in it). I believe my offer was more than what they could get at auction. So Clint lost a potential customer and $ for his salesman Roy on a vehicle that hadn't been shown for a while either. (It wouldn't start, had to jump it)

Mike Swanson did great and found us a 2018, but Platinum version, top of the line options, looks better than the newer models and we loved it right away.
