Was blocked on main roadway (in the fire lane and crosswalk) at Superstore by taxi T8023 at 1755 sept 9th. Asked driver if he could pull ahead out of way and fire lane. He did not so had to go around him to get into parking lot. After parking and about 5 mins later he was still there so I took his photo from 20 feet away. He charged out of car shouting I cannot take his photo and he was going to hit me and break my phone. By now I was running from this mad man and he kept on shouting threats. Why did he not want his photo taken? Was he scaming, collecting EI??? Have photos but cannot see how to attach them

I called CO-OP taxi for my mom to pick her up from...

I called CO-OP taxi for my mom to pick her up from work, they said that it will take 45 minutes to arrive. I waited for more than two hours and called when they said that my taxi got canceled, but I did not cancel it. I then booked another taxi and they said it will be about another 45 min wait. This is the second time that this has happened to me. All that I can is this is very unprofessional and terrible customer service. I surely will not be using coop taxi again.

Waited at the airport in the taxi line specific to co-op for 25 minutes. I called 3 times to try and order one but apparently the dispatch kept loosing the request. Ended up going with another taxi and will be recommending my company drop their business account.

Co op cab was parked in a no stopping zone outside...

Co op cab was parked in a no stopping zone outside Rogers Arena and was not signaling. I pulled into the passenger loading zone directly in front that he chose not to pull up into. Co op cab blares his horn, scaring my wife.

Co op cab peels out, leaving inches between his mirror and my door; my mirror was on top of his!

Absolutely shameful behaviour, given that this involved my wife, this situation could have turned very ugly very quickly were I not a more patient man.

Give your heads a shake.

Took a cab to the airport from Castledowns. Driver told me the Henday would be "to much" which is why we were going through the city. He then proceeded to take the most obscure route I've ever seen. His car was freezing because there was a draft through the back window. He wouldn't turn up the heat. The car had NO suspension left - when we hit bumps the car would grind and rattle. My co-worker took a cab from further East and North than I was and paid $74. My fare ended up coming to $85?!?!

I called on a Monday night, and was told the wait would be twenty minutes. After an hour, I called back to inquire where the cab was, and if they knew how much longer it would take. The dispatcher screamed at me, repeatedly asking if I wanted my cab cancelled because it "wasn't their fault and they didn't know." Horrible cumbersome service. I will not be using this company again.

I pre-book every time, and have had no issues until this past saturday. I pre booked a pick up for 11:10 am, the driver was calling my cellphone at 11:01, when I got in the cab at 11:04 he yelled at me, and told me that he was waiting and driven around the parking lot 3 times and was mad I didnt answer my phone. I told him I pre-booked for 11:10, which gives me enough time to grab my 4 year old out of ballet and get outside for the cab and that technically, I was early....

Had a bad experience with the drivers, will never use them again. Might as well just pay the extra dollar and use Uber, TappCar or yellow cab is even better service then these guys. Atleast your not harassed entering the vehicle.

Wish I could give 0 stars. Called in the am for pickup in the evening for my Christmas party, spent 5 minutes telling the operator how to spell my address. Turns out they sent the car to my old address anyways, assures me the car in enroute to my new address, then I get a call back 20 minutes later when my car was supposed to be arriving, saying they have to send a new one. We are now driving ourselves there

If there were a way to rate this experience 0 stars I would. They told us 5-15 minutes and we waited outside for 45 minutes until we finally just hopped on the bus. Plus it was cold outside. If they would have said hey we re kinda busy right now so it ll be about 30 minutes (or whatever time that is accurate) , I would ve been like okay maybe I ll wait inside or see if a different cab will come sooner but no, they told us max 15 minutes and we waited outside (us girls, by OURSELVES). Overall, this was a horrible experience and I will not be trying this company again, nor recommending it to anyone!

Will never be using their services again and will tell everyone I know to never call this company if they need a cab.

I couldn't believe that you changed lanes to pass me in a school zone of all places! Oct 26, 2012 - 116 Street - 7:00 am (actually phone call was started before 6:50 however it took them until 7 to answer and process the call. I arrived to destination at 8:22 am (a six minute drive). After 5-6 calls to Co-op, 1st Call we are very busy due to weather conditions, what is Co-op going to do when the snow actually does hit the gound - This should raise a RED FLAG to any potential customers, if they are making you wait 1 hour 15 minutes with this dusting can you imagine the disaster Co-op will be in December. 2nd Call - we have placed a rush 3rd Call - a car has been assigned to you. In between someone from Co-op calls me to ask if I am still waiting for my cab when I tell her that it has now been 40 minutes response "I know just wanted to know if you are still waiting" Really, wow what ever happened to customer actual service. Again no gold star for Co-op - sucks! 4th Call - it will be there right away I see there is one in your area. Call #2 Co-op CSR - "sorry we have no way to know if there is a cab in your area, - I wonder how safe the cabbies feel knowing that their office has no way to track them - Co-op technology has come a long way maybe you should check into this, just sayin'. 5th Call - CSR - Claudette, Claudette Claudette are you still waiting, I know they have the right address, yes that was the dispatcher that calls to make sure you are still waiting - I did ask do they do anything after that or their jobs is to make sure they have customers waiting, just not receiving an actually cab. One of the lovely (sic) Customer Sarcasm Representatives did hang up on me when I said it has now been 1 hr 10 mins - maybe it was time for her meds!!! 1 hour 12mins again phone and while I am on hold, much to my delight an actual co-op taxi showed up. Yes I had to repeat my destination address twice and yes I had to provide directions all the way to my destination, however I was on a rant to this driver on why I should not see any taxi drivers parading around City Hall protesting licensing more cabs, they already are having a hard time providing for their families, well if you actually get off your duffs and provide a "SERVICE" to paying customers and not alot of excuses or cabbie buzz words "assigned, a rush has been placed, I will talk to the dispatch" you might actually make a decent living.

watch out for key problems...some cab drivers are charging late hour rates outside of Thur- sat after 11 pm also some say the do not have change....also if you have made a complaint you will NEVER get a supervisor call you....this company is corrupt

Forget Uber. You never know the quality of the driver or vehicle.
With Co Op you get guaranteed pricing that does not vary, qualified drivers, well maintained cars.
They now also have an app.
I have been getting a lot of the same drivers who call me by my first name.
They really do care and are not doing this in their part time. It is their career and it shows.

I used to give 5 stars to coop . Im using their service steady for now 6 years . Got to know wonderful drivers . But the last two years lots of drivers try to screw you up . This morning the driver wanted to charge me an extra 10 $ for the same 4 bags I carry with me all the time for work ,never was asking extra money and I always tip good . But lately some drivers try to takes longer roads , slow down at green light to get the red , I had lots of argument with drivers . But Im done with coop .

Driver 198 picked us up from the alex hospital when I asked why go this way with left hand turns during rush hour traffic he started yelling and cussing at us. When I told him my spouse had stage 4 cancer and we just need to get home he turned around going to take us back after I'd already given him 10.00. I had to open the door at a stop sign to get out 7 blocks from our place. He robbed us screamed at us cussed at us then left us in the middle of the road. All the while my wife was on pain meds for her cancer. I'll never use this service again and I hope people with cancer or know someone with cancer doesn't either. He told her he didn't care about her cancer and hopes she dies. He needs to be fired bottom line. Stand up for cancer and stop using this TAXI service.

Terrible company. I try it again ever so often hoping the service would get better. I got criticized by one driver because of my morals that include not believing in marriage. And most times it takes 40+ minutes to get a taxi and recently has taken 2 hours and still nothing so I ended up cancelling. I'll stick to yellow cab cause clearly service isn't improving.

Gets to where you are fast but are very impatient. I took 3-4 minutes getting everything on so I could get to the cab and they left. I have a 3 month old baby and every mom and dad should understand that if you re trying to get ready and your baby is awake and fussy that it takes a little bit longer. I did miss their first call so I called back, they said they were waiting for 5 minutes even though I looked out and saw no cab anywhere. I don t recommend anyone using co-op because of their impatience alone.

WORST CABS IN THE CITY! 22 years of using cabs in this city and Hands down the worst drivers, worst dispatch, worst online booking, worst complaint system out of all of the cab company s. I actually can t speak to the other company (Yellow, Uber, Checker) complaint system because I haven t needed to use them. Only ever have complained about Co-ops service.

Nothing but issues with Co-op. I ve tried repeatedly over the years to give them another chance and nothing changes. Drivers waiting at the wrong address, accidentally going the wrong way when I m not paying attention, excuse after excuse when calling dispatch, zero action from customer service.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS!

Fine, drivers may not know all locations in the city but I had a flight to catch. and the driver said "I wasted my 30 minutes looking for your house" EXCUSE ME? I was like, well I wasted my 30 minutes for nothing and now i'm in rush! Hah. No more Co-op taxi! I will use Uber next time.

Only giving one star because I have to. I took a taxi to the airport, and was told that it would be a flat rate fee. I was told by the hotel that it is a flat rate, and they confirmed it with co-op before ordering the taxi pickup. I was overcharged and it has been over 2 weeks and have yet to hear back from co-op taxi. I have called multiple times, and have been told the driver supervisor will call me back. The 4th call I had told them my information, and then I was told that my ticket has been closed. I NEVER received a phone call from the driver supervisor, and I NEVER received the money that I was overcharged.

The cab pickup was 15 minutes late, smelled like an ashtray, and the driver did not help me with my luggage when he dropped me off. He sat in the car until I had pulled it from the trunk to say, oh I can help after he saw I had done it myself. I can now see the reason this company has such terrible reviews and rating. I recommend to spend the extra couple of dollars and use Uber.

They can't provide proper service. They are so old that at this point it's time for us all to just stop calling them. Providing good service is not difficult, not providing it is a choice. You may have noticed that a "supervisor" is responding to the complaints. This is not the case. Those responses are only meant to assuade fears of those reading them and deciding whether to use them or not. If you see a response your more likely to assume they are in fact trying. They are not. Not everyone who does a job, should, coop taxi is a prime example of this. It time we put them out of business by simply not using their business. For the record, I hate being lied to.

The driver refused to take me because he says that my coat is wet when I urgently needed a taxi because my 1 year old daughter is very sick and I had to go to the hospital. But for him the state of health of my daughter does not matter to him. This is his most important taxi should not my bb and I have wet his beautiful taxi. At taxi cab the health of their vehicle is better than life a child's health

My 18 yr old son took this taxi service from a club home, a 19min ride. He is not from Edmonton. He was charged $45 was told it was a flat rate, the crook behind the wheel was saving him money. I called the dispatch center that day to get a fare quote from the pub to my address ad was quoted $26 I informed them that he was charged $45. I was told to call back when accounts receivable was open. I have called numerous times and now have called the complaint line. Was told by complaint line that it is hard to track fares that are just flagged from the street. So if you flag a cab the crook behind the wheel can charge you whatever he feels fit? His answer I have a hard time understanding you!! Well maybe you should take that money that you rip off from innocent customers who trust you to get them home safely and honestly and take some lessons in the English language!! I can only imagine the amount of money you make ripping off innocent customers!! You are the first to call police and charge people who run from your cab without paying who protects the customers getting ripped off from you!! Maybe its time everyone started filing fraud charges against you and emailing and calling the taxi commission and Revenue Canada and reporting your illegal tactics

This is why UBER will take you guys down when the older gen stop using you guys, HORRIBLE customer service.
I get better service a robot on a phone. Seriously , how hard is it for you to say Goodmorning . How are you ?

Uber drivers try hard to put your needs first.

I use this company a lot and it is hit or miss for good service. Since I am a regular, several of the drivers know me and they are great. Other times it is terrible. Today I called a cab and was told 0-15 mins. 25 minutes later I called back and no one had even taken the bid. Now it has been 40 mins and I called a third time and they said someone is on their way.

left a personal item in a cab, when i tried to retrieve it from the company i was never spoken to so rudely and with so much disrespect, i feel t is because I'm female....i don't think certain people should be dealing with the public and i will never use this company again ( i use cabs on a daily basis) i would also encourage people t o file a complaint with the BBB as well, i don't think they have a good rating but it can't hurt to make people aware of how terrible a company this truly is especially when there are so many other decent cab companies available

Normally I use yellow cab, but I got a new phone and didn't have their number. Called co-op because their number was easy to remember and I had used them a couple nights before without any problems.
Called them to get to a job interview downtown. They asked me to confirm the address twice, which I did, and they told me it would be 15-20 minutes. After 24 minutes, I was getting nervous, so I called back and was informed that my first reservation didn't go through. I had given myself a whole hour to get downtown, and half of that was up. I told them to send another cab, gave my address twice AGAIN and, as a backup option, called 411 and got the number from Yellow Cab and ordered a cab from them. Good thing I did. Shortly after, I see the co-op cab down the street, pass my street (likely missing the turn off as it was a low traffic street). I called back and said I thought the cab driver had missed the turn off. The guy on the other end asked for my address and then informed me that a digit had been off when I gave it the first time. At this time, thankfully, the Yellow Cab I had requested 5 minutes before hand showed up. I told him to cancel the Co-op taxi.

These guys screwed up not once but multiple times. I will never call them again or rely on their services in any way.

And when you call in, the person is never very apologetic all they say is looks like someone forgot to send it, want me to send another?

I called (after an awful experience with Yellow Cab), and they showed up 2 minutes later... He did say that he happened to be in the neighbourhood, which was lucky, but still: they send you a confirmation number, and tell you which cab is headed your way, and they actually show up. Nicely done.

I take taxis quite often, and have been using coop exclusively the last 3 months. I have had rude drivers, drivers who can't find an address even when using GPS, and drivers who refuse to take directions on where to go, despite the fact it's my money that's paying for it. All of this I have taken in stride without much complaint, tonight though took the proverbial cake. I was heading home from a friend's and as usual the cabbie was lost, and took 10 minutes after the call saying he was outside, to arrive. When i got home I realized I had forgotten my keys and called co op to see if they could deliver them, enter assclown#1, this dispatcher treated me with all the respect given to a heroin addict soliciting sex for money, asking me repeatedly how I was paying for the fare, a whopping $10, and was told 3-4 times the fare would be paid in cash. Finally having enough of being treated this way, I told him you know who the fare is for and know how often I take taxis, yet you insist on treating me like I'm trying to rip you off, to which he replied I'm just doing my job
. I have never been asked more than one time how the fare was being paid, let alone 3-4 times in the same 1 minute span. I take to bring treated shabbily by a company about as well as I take to castration.....I don't, goodbye coop, hello uber.....
Ps. They finally say they would deliver the keys 35 minutes ago, the distance between 114 ave 137 st and 124 ave and 142 st is not that far, could it be that co-op is lost again, or did the poor pathetic dispatcher failure have a final laugh? I started writing this review at 3:47, it's now 4:24..... Cab called at 430 said he was out front, I said no your not, I am and don't see you, he asked for the address I told him, he says they gave him the wrong address, I hang up, walk to the corner and see a Co-op taxi doing a U-turn and going the other way!! FINALLY@440 am, my keys are returned 55 minutes from my call for a 5 minute trip, never again!

When I called the office to ask where our taxi was I was insulted by how rude the woman on the other line was. she basically said it was my fault! and informed me that she gave our cab to someone else. I hung up on her and she called me back with even more attitude saying i should have planed ahead of time? WOMAN are you dense? is an hour not enough time for you? Anyways she called us another cab but my group and I called Yellow Taxi and yellow taxi was there in 10 minutes.

I have personally called the company 4 times and spoke to 4 different people to get my number removed and nothing has happened.

What a douche. Takes the wrong way, refuses to take my proven to be reliable suggestion, wastes 10 minutes to travel the block I tried to save him from and then tries to shame me into admitting he was right while we have the detour in plain line of sight. Would not extend a courtesy discount for the blatant mistake and remained offended while I tried to help him from making the same mistake in the future. Thank God we have real professionals taking over in Uber. Would NEVER recommend.

Impatient and rude, unwilling to wait as my friend was asking me something before hopping into the cab. So unprofessional.... Save your company, please. Where did all the good drivers go????!???

I didn't have issues with Co-op for the longest time until this winter. I would get told by the dispatcher "right away to 15 minutes" and have a cab show up about 30-40 minutes later, a few times it was an HOUR later. They made me late for work so many times so I finally just gave up on them. I understand that it was winter so driving conditions weren't always the best on some days, and that is obviously understandable, but the times that I would call on bright, sunny, warm days, in the morning where there was barely any traffic and the roads were nice and not as icy, and they would still be late. It's a shame because I used to love this service, however, that was when I only called a cab once in awhile. During the winter, when I used to call a lot more often, is when I ran into so many issues. It's just not worth it to pay this company to make me late for work all of the time. There's plenty of other taxi services who show up when they say they will show up, and those are the companies that deserve my money. The cab company I've replaced Co-op with? 24/7 Taxi. At my door within 15 minutes. After I told the cab driver what has happened with Co-op, he told me he lives in my area and gave me his personal card to contact him if I ever need a cab again. THAT is how you run a cab company.

I Ordered a cab which was 15 minutes late and fair enough, it happens, but from there onward everything deteriated. No apologies were made for the late arrival and no help was offered loading our Costco shopping. The driver then informs us that an additional $10 charge for St Albert will be applied. During the entire booking process this was never mentioned! I phoned up and I was given no explanation as to why the website failed to mention this when booking. I won't be booking again, my fair actually doubled without notice... Hilarious

Last time ever I will be using coop taxi! Rudest driver Ive encountered. Screamed at me coz he thought the address I gave him is incorrect. I couldn t even understand what he was talking about or asking. If only it wasn t raining and with a child who just came out from the recovery room from a surgery, I would ve just got down from the cab and took the bus.

THE RATES ARENY WHAT IS PROMISED ON YHE PHONE !
Got Locked out of my uber account and took this company as a quick alternative when I called they promised a flat rate of 16 and it ended up being 20 not a big deal but I kind of find that I'm trustworthy, luckily I was just going from Northside to Jasper Ave but still kinda sketchy that they don't comply to the rates agreed on the phone. The ride it was pretty tense and awkward the cab driver looked miserable and kind of killed the vibe and wouldn't turn on the radio.
Uber next time for sure
