Last Saturday, at 5:36 pm, I called a cab to 128 avenue and 201 street. I was told by the call centre representative that a taxi would arrive in "zero to fifteen minutes". At 5:59 I had called to check on the status of my taxi, only to be told that there was no taxis in the area. I called again at 6:26, was hung up on immediately. And I called again at 6:27 to learn that my order was placed at "6:14". At 6:46 a taxi driver called me to see if I still needed a ride.

My family and I were picked up about 10 minutes later. The entire time we were stuck outside in the cold weather, which wouldn't have been an issue if we only needed to wait for the 15 minutes that we were told. My seven year old had to go to the washroom and my two year old was crying because of the cold.

The taxi driver, who finally picked us up, told us that other taxi drivers assume that older orders are abandoned by the customer and will ignore them. Apparently I made the mistake of trusting these taxi drivers. Perhaps these orders wouldn't be abandoned by the customer if the drivers for the company filled them.

I sat in the front seat of the taxi. My wife sat in the back with our two children. As my wife was trying to listen to what we were saying, she noticed that the taxi driver had been viewing adult videos on his tablet before coming to get us. My wife took a picture for proof, but Google Maps' policy won't let me post it. I will be posting part of a screenshot of my phone records of these calls.

I have used Co-Op Taxi many times in the last 18 years. I have had them leave me waiting on several occasions. They have made me over an hour late for work twice and made my son a half hour late for school once. I've listened to them chatting on their cell phones, I've had them take rediculous routes that have cost me more than they should have. The list of complaints goes on.

I'm not sure what kind of relaxed policies they have for their drivers, but I am finished making up excuses in my head for their poor service. I will not offer any more second chances. They have endangered my children's health, risked my employment, and made my wife extremely uncomfortable. Enough is enough.

Driver mumber 5170 , a white mini van , increased price after we get into car at airport. Stop in middle of nowhere at HWY 2 to tried to rip off. The door can`t be open from inside and the driver did not pay any attention to drive.

I have never had an issue with any of my drivers. All polite and helpful. Sometimes when weather is bad I understand getting my taxi may take a lot longer - so I allow for that. Also when I call for my cab I am ready to go so I don't let the drivers have to wait and I know they appreciate that because I have no problems at all. I will always use them!

You would think you in the day and age of Uber that you guys would figure out that waiting 20min for a cab is ridiculous. When I called to inquire I was told it was 1 min away and hung up on. My cab never showed and I took an Uber which made it there in 4min. Thanks Co-op!

Almost got hit by a coop cab. Was crossing the street, and this cab was just speeding, he slowed down after he realized that he almost got hit someone and drove away without even going out of the car to make sure that I'm ok. Called their customer service right away to complain, waited for about 15mins before someone answered. The guy who talked to me on the phone told me he will forward this to the supervisor and the supervisor will call me whenever he is available. I asked him if the supervisor will call me by tomorrow, he answered "whenever he is available". Told him I will call the police if they will not call me by tomorrow, and he answered the most ridiculous answer "ok, fair enough". Seriously???? Is this how you treat someone who almost got hit by your driver? Worst drivers! Worst customer service!

Dispatch was rude and wanted to knowif my east entrance was facing northor south, cab didn't show up, called back and the previous lady didn't even book the fare, thrlen was told that the cab couldn't pick me up at thatentrance due to co structio when Co-op taxi, Yellow cab and Barrel Taxi had all passed, dropped off or picked up people there.

Caused me to reschedule an appointment. With the pricung and this level of service why bother with this over Uber?

Had an event to go to, so I booked a cab ride online at 10:30am the morning of the event. I provided my address of pickup at the time of booking and received a confirmation email that pickup was scheduled, and I could expect a cab at my house at 7:20pm, thus I went about my day. Fast forward to 7:15pm, FIVE MINUTES before my scheduled pickup time, I get a call from the scheduling office that I can t be picked up because my address is in Sherwood Park, outside of their area of pickup unless I have a corporate account. Now, I didn t have a problem with the fact that they can t do pick ups in Sherwood Park, but the fact that they waited till 5 minutes before I was supposed to be picked up to let me know this, even though they had my address at the time of booking (9 hours prior), is absolutely horrendous customer service. There was no apology, just find another ride . Needless to say, I was late for my event, and will never book another ride with Coop again.

The review by CODY REMPEL is FAKE. He left an identical review on the Yellow Cab site about calling for a patient from the Royal Alex hospital. Clearly this same alleged customer did not use both services at the same time. As he concludes his review by suggesting that poor customer service is the reason people are switching to rideshare, I suspect he works for Uber or Lyft. I reported the review to Google but unfortunately there isn't a field for providing details.

Specified a time for the taxi to come knowing that I would not be able to leave before then. They arrived around 7 minutes earlier. Called again and let them know I specified a specific time so I'll be down in a couple minutes from that time. They told me they would let the dispatch know. I go downstairs and my cab isn't here, call them and receive the WORST customer service. Never taking a cab from this company again.

Called and asked them to pick up my parents who are both seniors and do not speak English very well. So I handled everything. Where to pick them off and where to drop them off- a hospital to see a specialist. Any one who has dealt with seeing any medical person knows that these appointments are made in advance and spots fill up. My father called frantically saying the driver was not there to pick them up. By the time i got through to Co-op they said the dispatcher put in the date incorrectly. Another driver was sent out. It took about 20 minutes for him to get there. The driver dropped them off at the wrong location- another hospital:( The appointment was missed and my parents where charged for everything. I have since called to let them know all the details which i wont bore anyone on here with and no return phone call! Needless to say i am not using them ever again.

Vehicle 467 was awesome! I use coop all the time. Today we had nearly 6cm of snow dropped and still my taxi made it to my house in 10 minutes and to my destination in an efficient matter. My cab driver was so polite and respectful!

Worst cab company. Called when I was getting off work so eh cab would be set up in time for me getting done. As I was locking up I received the automatic call the cab was there. By the time I was walking out the door I watched the taxi drive off. Now I have to call and wait for another. I use cabs every day for work that's about 100$ a week. My money will be going to Uber. CO-OP you lost out major. No wonder people choose Uber. At least they will call you when they arrive.

The people who answer the phones are amazing and very kind.
The drivers that I have had are all very pleasent and professional. They are efficiant and getting me to work and other place I may need to be.
I will be recommending this taxi to friends and family

This cab service should be avoided at all costs. They overcharged me by 66% on a flat rate fare from the airport. When I advised them of this, it took them 10 days to even respond to my inquiry although I had sent follow up emails. When they did respond, they stated that the "pricing error" was due to the fact we had made additonal stops along the way - this was not accurate or honest. It has been almost a month and I have still not received a refund. Their lack of customer service is extremely poor.

For the last week approx 3-4 days, I have ordered a cab to my house in Sherwood Park and received no issues. This morning I had one ordered for 10AM. When I called the call centre at 9:57 concerned because a driver hadn't picked up my order yet, an incredibly RUDE service agent told me that they couldn't pick up from Sherwood Park, when explaining to her that you have picked me up for the last 3-4 shifts I have had she said that was impossible because they dont do that. I asked to speak with a supervisor and got voicemail. First of all, if an order is made that can not be completed, a call should be made to the customer to inform them, or they shouldnt be able to use a Sherwood park address. Thats just common sense. Not only did I have to call myself, but I was treated like an idiot. I have given you guys over $200 in fares and I always tip atleast $5-10 over my fare. This is the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard. I was late for work this morning, and I'm the manager. I am severely dissapointed. Your customer service is a joke and needs serious work. I will make sure every single person that comes to our restaurant and that I know personally calls a different cab company. I work a a high traffic area and we use you to give our patrons rides home and I am telling you now, we will never use you again.

If I could post with zero stars I would. What a god damn joke.

Ended up waiting 2 and a half hours for a cab when the wait time was supposed to be an hour. When I called I was told there were no cabs in the area, when I had seen two cabs in the area multiple times during my wait.

I tried calling, emailing, everything for the next week and nothing was turned in or I didn't get a reply. Never again am I or anyone I know taking this Taxi service.

THIS PLACE SUCKED! First the guy was on his phone with a friend the whole way, he was quite rude. But i forgot my phone in the cab (yes granted my fault) but it was turned on with 60% battery, so when i called and it went to voice mail i figured well the cab driver found it and turned it off so it wouldnt make tons of noise. I called the company asked about the phone they said they would call the cab and ask. It took less then two minutes for them to call him have him look and call me back. Obviously either he didnt look hard or they didnt call. But my phone was there (again my fault) but still they could have given it back or looked harder.

Called for taxi, waited 20 min, called back and was informed it was on the way, waited another 20 min and called back, was then informed I was black listed, before I could explain that I just got this phone number they hung up on me. WILL NEVER USE CO-OP TAXI OR RECOMEND THEM IN THE FUTURE.

Co-op is honestly the worst cab company in Edmonton. First of all, the people working dispatch sound absolutely miserable and they're rude more often than not. The drivers are never very nice and are always speaking on their phones which doesn't make me feel safe or comfortable at all. I haven't liked their service for a while, but after last night, I refuse to use anyone but Yellow Cab. My co-worker booked me a cab using the app after my shift last night. I waited close to half an hour. The cab she booked (#208) saw me standing there and drove right past me. He pointed ahead of him, fully acknowledged me, so I figured he was turning around, but he didn't! I then called Yellow Cab who said it would be a 10 - 20 minute wait, it arrived in less than 15. I'll never book a cab for myself or my customers with Co-op again.

If I could give zeros stars I would. This company and their drivers are horrendous. I was outside diamonds night club waiting for an Uber when some guys were giving me trouble so I jumped in a coop taxi and canceled my Uber to get out of there. I immediately ask the driver if spruce grove is okay? He says yes. I fall asleep on the drive as it is late and I ve had some drinks. I wake up and ask him where we are we are in a dark industrial area. He says were on the way. I fell asleep again and I wake up and I said it seemed like a really long drive what way did he take. He says yellowhead which is the longest way to go. Their fair was 80$ I said I have never paid that much to get home.he said I should just be glad I m home. I tell him I m going to pay MasterCard he says you don t have cash ? I said well not enough I m going to pay with my MasterCard he says no give me your cash and grabs it out of my hands. And puts 10$ on my master card giving himself a tip too. After the transaction I felt so taken advantage of I called into the supervisor. He also agreed that it was a very strange way to take. However, the driver lied and said I told him to take me downtown then to spruce grove, which did not happen. He also said my fair was 60.00 when I paid close to 100.00. The supervisor said he could only give me back what was on my MasterCard. The driver and the supervisor pretty much are telling me I am lieing because I paid cash. No wonder he was to persistent I do. I recommend never giving another dollar to this company or their drivers.

Their service is getting worse all the time... starting with the people who take the calls all the way through to the ride. There were two doors literally 15 feet apart connected to the same building and they took the time to argue about which door I should be standing in front of ? They should be sending the cab and spending time answering other phone calls...they tried there attitude thing with the wrong guy today... they just lost all our business...and we use them often. Let's keep writing in until the ratings show their true value...less than I one.

Should have read the reviews. Waiting two hours in the pouring rain for a taxi is a joke.
It's ridiculous they don't let Uber in here. It's like McDonald's never allowing Burger King or Wendy's in the same city, get out of here with that mess. We had driver of 824 co op cab and this guy proceeds to do the opposite of everything we ask. Can we get some heat we've been outside in the rain for 2 hours he turns on the heat and opens his window full. He WAS TEXTING AND DRIVING THE WHOLE TIME. I took pictures. This guy should lose his taxi license.
Then I pay and the guy tries short changing me. AVOID AT ALL COST. Complained to the manager and he still hasn't responded STAY AWAY FROM THESE SCAMMERS

I didn't realize I had to click a star. My intention was to give no stars. At 7:43 this evening, my car was nearly clipped by one of their cars at the Bonnie Doon traffic circle.

They need to teach their drivers that cars on the outside lane have to yield to the inside lane. I don't know what driver training they get, but it needs vast improvement.

Absolutely horrid service. This company is terribly mismanaged. Absolutely incompetent. We have reserved cabs with plenty of notice three times in the last few weeks. Not once have they arrived on time. On two occasions they finally arrived (late) and took us where we were going and when we got home we had a voice message indicating our cab was waiting for us - they had sent TWO cabs to our address. No wonder they are late!

When you call to find out where your cab is they plead ignorance - " I only answer the phone" or "We are just a call centre" or " there is no management available" or, "we have a new system." Never again - they are the worst. Any other cab company has to be better.

"Vehicles will be wiped down after each trip" clearly not the case, this is my second ride in a row that was not only filthy but also full of cigarette ash. Normally I wouldn't care, but with Covid having a dirty interior just isn't acceptable. Do your part to stop the spread and clean it up.

They have very fast reliable service the driver's are always friendly one day I forgot my bags in the trunk and the driver went out of his way to bring it back to me
That is why I love co-op taxi

Not reliable at all! Tried pre booking a taxi which was confirmed on their end. 5 minutes late I called, they said nobody was coming and we re extremely rude on the phone! Almost missed my flight. I should have known better and will forever be dealing with Uber moving forward. Cab companies are simply a thing of the past and this behaviour is why.

I had really valued Co-op Taxi for the past year as they were very helpful, reliable, prompt, and polite. However, 6 different times in the past 3 months, I have been left literally stranded after receiving confirmation of my booking. This has been both through direct calls and online booking. I rely on cabs when the bus will not get me where I need to be in time or when my buses have u been "re-directed" as many have been now. 4 of these times that I've been left cab-less, I have been unnecessarily late for work, costing me money and reputation. The other 2, I was stuck in increasingly unsafe areas of the city where my ability to leave quickly was my best chance at staying safe.
I am, unfortunately, here to report that I am switching back to my old cab service, and will be directing my friends to the same, as I do not want them in the same situations I've been put in in the last couple months. Thank you for the past good times, Co-op.

Fu*k this p.o.s company, lost my wallet in their cab twice and sure enough never found it both times. Thank god i pulled out my card to try and pay'em both times and managed to still have my bank card. They also try to send you scam messages after you lost something in their cars. Be careful people. This company sucks soo much ass

Waited over an hour to get a cab to go to the airport. I ended up missing my flight. Poor call center workers. Lie about time that the cab will arrive. Made a complaint about the service to management and I was told it was my fault because I should have called earlier. Don't even deserve half a star!!

Taxi didn't show up, called them & they told me they had a system update & all booked taxis were cancelled. Least they could have done is send out an email or text notifying me. Very unprofessional, possibly will be late for my flight.

Extremely unsafe, doesn't following traffic law. Blocking pedestrians cross line in school zone, arguing when ask them to clear pedestrians path. Safety department doesn't work ( didn't get answer yet ( 5 days pass since I send e-mail with evidence about drivers). Will never recomind any one to use that company as transportation. One of your drivers just called me from the 425-2525 number and tried telling me I called a taxi. I haven't phoned co-op in many years. He decided to tell me that I was a liar and that I did call for one... And he refused a different fare so he could do this one. Listen bud, I didn't order a taxi and if I do again, it sure won't be co-op.

There's a reason why people hate cab companies. Uber drivers never act like this.

I eagerly await the time when self driving cabs come online.. I used to feel bad for these guys but my god they are SO fricking rude and could care less about looking after you..the customer. waited 2 hours for a taxi..still waiting.. not going to go out now as the place is closing. we were told 5-20 minutes and when I called I got operator 110..what a miserable human being..rude and snarky.. I can't wait for the end of the cab industry..it's become a total joke in this city.

Waited 45 mins, cab showed up for two ladies that placed a call 20 mins after me. Called back asking whats goin on and that I'm disappointed in the service, call rep told me call another company and hung up right away. Cab number 114 showed up later(after dropping the ladies) and handled it like a professional and drove me home(that's the only good thing I can say). Also requested a supervisor to call me and they havnt. They beat around the bush as much as they can. From now on I will make sure I have uber credits and use uber to cab home.

Used this taxi company a lot until today. This morning I called for my taxi to bring me to work. As I live in a basement suite I requested they call on arrival like they have on every past time. The driver never called and I called back when he was 20 minutes late. They told me the driver was there and left already, he never called. The receptionist was very nice and got the driver to come back. When the driver picked me up he started to yell and swear at me about me not waiting outside for him in the first place. I bit my tongue and got him to drive me to work which I was now late for. When he dropped me off I paid for the taxi ride and we got into a yelling match over how you treat returning customers. I will likely never use this service again. Plenty of other taxi companies and uber.

Asked for a cab to pick me up in Sherwood park to go to the very north east of Edmonton like a 15min drive and the taxi took over an hour on a Wednesday night to get to me. I didn't even get the cab by the end of it called else where for a ride....should have know better when it comes to these guys it the same thing every time. So done. This is why Uber is taking over, horrible service with bad drivers who try to take the long way everytime to get any penny out of the ride. Never will I catch coop taxi ever again EVER!!!
