The technician David came to check our heating system, he was very professional and helpful and found out that our issue was the simple fact that we never initiated natural gas service after recently moving into our new home. His knowledge and honesty saved us a lot of money.
Called in a Sunday morning and they had Hugo Torres at my home after lunch as we requested. He was very friendly. Was in and out in record quick time and fixed our air on 3rd floor. Cost was reasonable and service was not extra just because it was a Sunday . They called to let us know when technician was on the way. They called the day after to make sure we were satisfied with service. Very professional company and 5 stars for Hugo Torres who was super nice. I would def call then again.
Finding A#1 Air is a blessing, the morning of the appointment we received an email informing us that the tech Mark Derby (with photo) was in route and arrived promptly. Mark Derby is an asset to A#1 Air, his professional demeanor is what every company hopes is representing them and what a customer deserves. I'm grateful for all knowledgeable journeymen and Mark Derby was that example. Just good stuff, period. Looking forward to having A#1 Air servicing our AC . Congrats to the owners for doing it right.
I would never recommend this company to anyone. They re a bunch of crooks, recently our heat was not kicking on so we called and setup an appointment for someone to come out not only were they over an hour late but once here they quickly checked things out and informed us we needed to replace the air filter okay so we go ahead and do that and then less then 3 days later our heat is not working yet again.... this time it s 34 degrees outside mind you I just had a baby so a newborn and our 1 year old in a freezing house, recipe for disaster, we called and were told a technician would be out to us within a half hour, that was at 9pm and our technician didn t get here until 11pm... at that point we were informed that our igniter switch and capacitor needed to be replaced and so we did that which costed $500 at this point we were happy to have heat again, that was short lived less then two days went by before it was out yet again, so another technician comes out and this time the flame sensor needs to be replaced , another $200 down the tubes because here we are 2 weeks later and we have no heat again! At the last appointment our tech informed us if we have issues again we will likely have to just replace our board, ya know a $900 part , I m glad this company thinks people are made of money, I also love the whole replacing parts piece by piece to see what works and what doesn t work, I have never in my life seen a company seriously rob you like this one does, now that we are $700 basically thrown out the window and still have no heat to show for it, your better off going with anyone else other then these people. A complete waste of time & money!

I purchased a home this week, and during the home inspection 2 weeks prior, both of my units (upstairs and downstairs) were working well, with only a notation of their age and a recommendation to have them serviced. I contacted A#1 air yesterday and scheduled a service call. When the technician arrived, I was at work, but my wife let him in. He immediately went to our upstairs furnace and attempted to turn it on. He then told my wife that it wouldn t turn on because the circuit board had fried. His only recommendation was to replace both the upstairs and downstairs units, and on his work order he also listed multiple things wrong with the units.
Today I had a technician from a different company come out for a second opinion. He went straight to the upstairs furnace and in 30 seconds showed my wife a missing fuse from the furnace. He said that the fuse receptacle was not dirty or dusty for being in the attic, indicating someone had removed the fuse very recently. He installed a fuse and the furnace powered on immediately. He then looked over the work order from A#1 air and told my wife that it looked like they were trying to scam us by listing things in need of repair that weren t even broken or existed!
So I m out a service fee twice, but thankfully have a working AC system without having to pay $13k for a whole new system. Stay away from A#1 air unless you are knowledgeable enough about AC systems to see through a scam.
Dustin B was great, polite, courteous, explained everything in detail. I've been using A #1 Air for 2 years now and will not use anyone else. Like the idea of evening and weekend appointments. They always call the day before to confirm and the day of to let you know they are on the way.
I have had nothing but 5 star service with A#1 air. I will admit their prices are a little high, but their service and warranties make it worth the little extra to know they will make it right if they mess up. My most recent experience was installing a new breaker box. The estimate from the electrician was 8 hours and he ended up finishing in 6. He was extremely professional and explained every aspect of his work to me when I asked. I will continue to use A#1 air!

Had a issue with my A/C and sheldon roy from A# AIR came out to my house. Looked over my system, found the problem and informed me that it had several leaks. And unit would have to be replaced. But of course my labor warranty had just expired last month. i was upset that in less than a year of my unit being installed, it was bad. But Sheldon told me that they would be honoring the warranty. I am so thankful for people like sheldon coming my familys rescue. The service i recieved was awsome.

I have a 3 year old system that all of the sudden started having problems. After they told me I needed to replace the entire system, I called another company for a second opinion. Turns out a wire was loose which was an easy fix. If you're looking for a scam, look no further. A#1 is only out to leech on your wallet.
I spent the entire day at home for them to call at nine PM wanting to come out finally. Called them at 10 to request a time after 3 pm and to have a courtesy call. At 5 pm someone calls me. He estimates 7 but can't set anything in stone. I informed him that I have a child whose bedtime is nine. I understand that it's the busy season, however little communication and lack of awareness for a customers' situation is not the indications of a well-managed, procedural company. We are more than happy to take our business elsewhere to a company that can at least give some sort of time window and keep us more informed.
A#1 Air has become our go-to! They replaced our air handler last winter, our A/C last spring, and just replaced our Hot Water Heater. Jeff L was our plumber and he was excellent! He was professional and very nice. It went out of his way to explain what was going on, and kept us updated through the process. The service took longer than expected, because our old hot water heater was not cooperating, but Jeff made sure we knew what was happening. I can't recommend A#1 or Jeff more.

Great Job A#! Air! I came home to my house and it was almost 90 degrees inside. I called A#1 around 9:30pm and they sent a technician out by 1:30am(which was worth staying up for since I couldn't sleep inside my HOT house). We have had great experience with a number 1 air in the past two years as we have bought an entirely new air conditioner and quarterly service plans. I am very happy with a number 1 air. And I recommend a number 1 air to anyone.

Really nice guys and very friendly , we had a problem with our ac , the master board went out , our ac unit was very old as well so we decided that our best option was to install a new ac unit and furnace, Damian did a great job explaining our options and benefits , also installer were quick and they left the place clean as well , I would recommend then if you have any problems, only thing for then not getting a 5 starts is because communication was not clear with me , I had to call them to know if they were coming to instal that day other than that, everything was great
Had my AC tune up today & very impressed with Peter O. My AC went out last weekend (clogged line took two techs in separate visits Sunday to repair). Peter discovered a capacitor in the condensing unit outside that wasn't working. Apparently that should've been taken care of on the previous visit. Peter also added a compressor saver. He also got me some discounts on a couple other things to help my HVAC system not work so hard & help reduce my energy bill. This time dispatch ( or whoever) sent an email informing me who the tech was for this visit & included his picture (which didn't happen last week). They even asked if he could come early since he was in the area. Overall more impressed this time around!
Our technician arrived on time as scheduled and even gave me a few minutes fighting through Houston traffic. He sat down with me explained the issues and the different price options. Brandon helped me pick the Best Buy not the most expensive buy. He called multiple people during his visit with us to make sure we were truly getting the best cost and option for our home.
The guys showed up the next day (a great team of three men) and they installed out brand new indoor unit and outdoor unit. They worked so hard and so fast! They taught how to maintenance the new unit and maximize the life.

First off we called a1air because of an ac problem and a leakeage problem and was told the tech they send will do both .they lied about sending a person that is a plumber and Ac tech out the same time and tried to charge us for 2 separate appt after telling us they it would be only one charge. Then after the tech fixed the supposed water leakeage my ac unit stops working i call again and they say they want to charge me again for sending someone out! Dishonest and way to greedy on their prices never again!
Milton was an awesome Tech! Knowledgeable and very friendly. Held some funny personal conversations but also kept me informed throughout the visit of what he was doing and why. He was very thorough and was able to answer all my questions confidently. He also gave some advice for future maintenance and offered/recommended the customer club plan for discounted rates and routine maintenance. Highly recommend A#1 Air!
As far as I'm concern the service is top notch! Both install technicians were excellent and they will servicing my AC for next 20 years.
Called other companies and was told they don't service Parker County. Called A#1, and was put on the schedule immediately. I received an email ahead of the technician's arrival with his photo, what the company vehicle looked like, and a complete company history and specials they were running.
Dane was prompt, professional, extremely cognizant and diligent with COVID safety protocols. He diagnosed the issue, gave us our options, and performed the work authorized quickly and accurately. Our house is so much more comfortable. Yay!!!

Nick came out to fix our AC when we were having issues. He was professional and very thorough when it came to checking the system and helping me understand what was going on so I could decide what worked best for me.. I can t afford a new system at the moment. but nick gave me the option for a more minimal repair until I can comfortably make a more permanent decision. And he was able to get my house cooling right then. Nick was great even for a cowboys fan.
I need a new AC unit installed, I had 3 major AC company's come in an give me a quote. Never thinking I would get a great deal. Wow, was I wrong. A#1 Air beat everybody and offered 60 months financing with 0 Zero % interest making the deal even sweeter. 3 Days later the installers showed up and in 5 hours had my upstairs cool once again. Richard went above and beyond to make sure that my system is ready for the winter. A#1 Air's customer service is and always has been amazing and it is the main reason I stick with them. I know when I call I will always talk to someone no matter the date or time. They have repaired my system at 1am after I called at 11:30 one night. If you are trying to decide on a company to go with for your new system, trust me, choose them. It has been one of the best decisions I have made since I bought my house! I have been a customer for over 2 years and love them.
Toby was my technician. He was prompt. Called when on his way and very nice when onsite. My wife does not rave much about most companies, however she did about his service. Repaired the ac freon leak same day.
Frustrating company. We just moved into our home and have an older Daikin system. We began the process to try and install Nest thermostats. Husband is mechanically inclined so he had saw that the wiring was proprietary. When calling this company they refused to say over the phone if they could use the Nest thermostat with that system. The servicemen showed up took one glance at the system and said it wasn t compatible. A better company would have been able to tell us that over the phone without wasting $100 and our time. The guy that came out was friendly and professional but we will not be customers in the future.
UPDATE Their customer service reached out to us and made it right with us. Our frustrations were heard and handled very professionally.

You can t make this up. A#1 Air is by far the most incompetent HVAC repair company that I have ever encountered. A#1 Air has an incredible system for scheduling an appointment and the techs are extremely nice. That is when the we guarantee great service (catchy slogan) ends. Our issue started on Sunday with the upstairs unit not maintaining temperature. Called and scheduled an appointment for Tuesday and thought we d be back in the cool. Not a big deal, right. WRONG! Tech 1 diagnosis; system is completely empty of Freon, solution; replace Freon $1,000, replace coil (must have a leak) $3,500 or the best option is to replace the entire system at a cost of $14,000. Completely shocked, we said do nothing right now, but please check the other (3) functioning systems. Tech 1 diagnosis; downstairs system is not cooling because of dirty coils, master unit has wiring issues and office unit is fine, solution; clean downstairs coils and fix master unit wiring $250. Authorized repairs and the result was a downstairs unit that does not work and a blown fan motor on the master unit. If you re keeping score, original problem was 1 unit not work, now 3 units are out of service. Second day of repairs, a new Tech, and all new stories. Tech 2 diagnosis; upstairs unit is completely full with Freon, but the problem is a capacitor, downstairs unit is completely empty of Freon and the master unit was incorrectly wired by Tech 1 and is now functioning properly, solution; leak test downstairs unit and replace capacitor. Remember, downstairs unit was working properly before A#1, now completely empty of Freon. Third day of repairs and after overnight pressure test, downstairs unit lost a little pressure overnight therefore there must be a leak and to recharge with Freon it will cost $1,000 or $3,500 for coils or $14,000 for a new unit. It was not our fault that it quit working, must have been the leak . To set the record, 1 unit not working and now (2) 5 ton units need to be replaced at a cost of $28,000. End result: A#1 Air was requested to leave my house immediately and I had a different company repair all the systems for under $1,000. I have requested to speak with James Green, Owner of A#1 and have been told that he is unavailable for 2-3 weeks. Interesting that an HVAC service repair company owner would be unavailable in July! Do yourself a favor, don t use A#1 and again, you can t make this up.

We are selling our home and needed a general maintenance/service call done on our A/C unit. They were running a special $49 instead of $129. In the end I easily paid with my credit card and there were no unexpected "extra" charges. I was pleasantly suppressed. My air conditioning stopped working noon day and I called A#1 air to schedule someone to come out. The customer service reps/dispatch kept me updated on when a technician would be out. I had just completed a service tune up a week prior, so I was unsure what was going on. Adam was dispatched, (same tech who completed my service tune-up) and was great, he explained what happened, got our system back up and going, and I am very pleased with Adam and A#1 air services. GREAT JOB!!!!
They canceled my appointment..in wanted to set me up for a later appointment around two weeks lead time. But my system needed maintenance sooner than later. So I called on Time Evperts.
Victoria B. was so detailed and explained step by step the process and what needs to be done. For the installers Ivan C. and Jose P.. I give them a big round of applaused. I can't believed it took them over 17 hrs. I'm very very satisfied. Especially knowing the previous owners all they did was pitch and patch for over 26 yrs.
Had them install my ac/heater to which I joined their service plan where they come out before summer and winter to inspect my unit. After a few years of that a tech found an issue with my unit which needed replacement part about 80 bucks, raised a eyebrow but whatever. Sold the house and bought a new one I asked was it transferable I was told it was. Normally they call you to setup an appointment before the season hits before they become too busy. I had to remind them of my yearly service plan, and that they needed to come out. They never called or came out for the winter one. That left a bad taste in my mouth, no issue making appointments and signing me up for service plans on a new unit , but not so much on one you didn't install. Their techs are very professional and I didn't once feel they were trying to get over on me. Execpt the one I raised an eyebrow on, who had broke my attic stair case which he had to repair, Karma I guess. Would I use them again, probably not too much competition. When this unit goes up which it will I need to know your word and your contract is 100% . The front of the house just didn't provide that, so why would I give my hard earned money to you.

We finally had a day to schedule service. They said 1-5 pm. Called me all day that they were in route. I got home at 920pm still haven t showed up. I think they re too big. It s late and now I have to find a dependable reliable company. They didn t even apologize.
I initially had A#1 air come out because the company I was trying to use before (Dana Hilliard) was too busy to look into the warranty for my system and I had trouble scheduling an install of my evaporator coil.
Initially they sent out Mike Stoll. If this review was purely on him he would be getting 1-star but the people who came after him redeemed my faith in A#1 Air - I think he is just a bad apple. I point blank asked him if my part was under warranty and he not only said no but went into a long explanation why it isn't. He also tried to upsell me to a whole system - worse than a used car salesman! I may be a female but I'm a very intelligent female. Don't try to fool me. For my older or not as savvy customers - if Mike Stoll comes to your house beware of what he tells you and get a 2nd opinion. This was already kind of my "second opinion" since Dana Hilliard had been out before so I knew what should be occurring.
Luckily the next weekend I had a different crew coming to install the new coil - Cesar and Chris R. They were great and nearly immediately found that the part was under warranty. Cesar was the one to finally install the part. They were awesome and A#1 Air should look for more stand up guys like them. If this review were purely for them they would have 5 stars.
Top company and people as recommended, listed and rated locally here. Technician was timely, efficient, and got right to the heart of the problem in less than 15 minutes of arrival. Problem identified. Solution recommended and implemented. Job done and gone in less than a hour.

I was having an issue with my AC last week and called A#1 Air and they got someone out to my house right away. There was a potential issue with a fix they did on my unit just a couple months ago. They sent out their swat team to try and diagnose the problem. Schmitty came out and had it all taken care of. I could not have been more pleased with the service I received from him. He was knowledgeable, courteous, and timely. He had me back up and running in no time. They definitely took care of me and got our house cooled down. I cannot say enough great things about A#1 Air. First of all, scheduling was a breeze. Sam, the HVAC technician that came to fix my A/C unit was extremely professional and knowledgeable. He went above and beyond what was expected of him. He listened to my concerns, never made me feel rushed in any way and was very understanding of my situation. Most importantly, he fixed the problem. An employee who said he was leaving the company in a week sold me a system on the side. He told me they over charge their customers all the time and would never purchase a system from them. Nonetheless, I got a new system and it didn t cost me $14k like the first one I purchased. Crooked people everywhere at this company.

I have been using A-1 Air for my air condition needs for many years. I have them come out twice a year for checks. Customer service is very good. They call before the come, they send a picture of the technician ( great Idea) and they followup after the technician completes the task at hand.

Felt like being misled and dishonest by this company. They are on time and courtesy, but fishy. I have them come out with tune up special for $59. The tech come out not sure how much tune he did on the system, but he informed me that my system come up short about 4 lbs. of freon. He said that there might be a leak and to located the leak he need to add about 4 lbs. of freon at $89/lbs enough where the leak can be detecting. He said he have added 2 lbs. free of charge from the tune up special and will charge me only two bls. sound nice right. After he added the Freon which he said that's what the system called for, he said he can't detect the leak anywhere. I was speeches less. I am not sure my system need that Freon much of added Freon and if it's actual leak that much of Freon, why can't he have detected since it's only about 1 yrs. old system. To my conclusion, the tune up is the key to get inside your property and the strategy is to make up stuff to make the as much as they can afterward. He also dares to offer the cleaning services of the drain line. I do remember that should be a part of the tune up. BTW, another fishy thing is before they came out for the appointment that was setup by my property manager, I did call them for the tune up, they asked the age of the system. I told them it s less than two years old. She then told me that they wouldn t be able to do tune up on that kind new system. I said what??? I guess they think they might not be able to find anything to make up the money from the newer system. Well, then I am very unlucky. They got me. Anyhow, I ended up paid them the grand total of $251 instead of $59. I would not recommend this company or will be very careful with them. I will definitely not to use them ever again. I gave this company 2 stars for prompt and courtesy.

This company came out to my mother's to give a quote on a new AC and heater. They quoted her $11,200 installed for a 3.5 ton Rheem. After some research Rheem isn't that great in Texas heat, and the coils are zig zig and break down more often. She canceled this and called to get a few more quotes. She was quoted $6,500 for an American standard made by Trane installed. Trane is a better known product and more reliable than Rheem per consumer reports.
Not sure exactly why she was quoted almost double for an inferior product. Kinda makes me wonder if they saw an older lady that they could take for a ride...So happy I am in her life to save her that money!!

I received same day service so I can't complain that it took longer for the service technician to arrive than i had hoped. The guy Robert was nice, but I felt he was more of a sales man than someone who cared. Everything he looked at was just OK, i would need this or that SOON.
I had my capacitor replaced, very expensive for such an inexpensive part. While he was there, he told me my inside unit wasn't wire correctly. At first it was one wire then another. He immediately recommends the most expensive "fix" and when i say no, he then gives me other options. He ended up telling me before winter i would have to have my unit rewired so another $$$. Meeting a "Salesman" makes me uncomfortable for future service.

Helpful technician. Made suggestions about parts to replace and why, very knowledgeable. Going into the hot months the parts replaced will be critical in making my unit work at peak performance. Pleasant personality, easy to talk to.
When our air went out my husband called A#1Air , took over 8 hours for a technician to show up! After checking the thermostat was working ok, he started checking for other problems. He told us our primary control board was burned out & we needed a new one, cost would be $999.00! Also may take a few days, That is if they are able to order the part since our unit is so old. If board could not be found we would need a new unit at a cost of 8 to 10,000 dollars!! Of course after hearing that we were praying they would be able to find the control board thinking we would get off light with $999.00 ! Well after 2 days of no air my son in law suggested it might not be the control board & should let him check it out, I wasn't sure I understood what he was talking about, after all the so called expert from A#1 air said the control board was out! So I called my handy man brother & told him what was going on, he said he would come check it out & my son in law may be right & we should not trust A#1 ! I called my son in law back & both came over! Together they found two problems neither one being the control board! My brother was able to fix my air conditioner with a new ground wire outside & a $21.00 relay switch of some kind Bottom line I have air working perfectly will never call these crooks ever again! Technician showed up within an hour of calling. He asked a few questions and went right to the problem. Quick service and tech was pleasant.
While the technicians have always been courteous and helpful every time they come out, the problem is that we have to keep having them come out. In the spring of 2013 we purchased a completely new heating and cooling system with new duct work and everything. The price for this was $24,400. Later that summer the upstairs system quit working and they came out and got it running. Again in the spring of 2014, the upstairs system quit working and they came out and fixed it. I believe this happened a time or two more before that summer was over. Again in the spring of 2015 the upstairs system quit. It took multiple calls and repairs and I think they finally replaced a part. Now in June 2016, it is again not working. I have been waiting over 5 hours for a technician and my last update is someone will be here close to midnight. We have 3 people in our home who have to be up at 6am for work or school. I certainly expected better for the price we paid.
Great service from Sam and Michael. They did a thorough inspection of my heating system, informing me of what was performed and possible future repairs.
Sam also anchored my attic tent and there is an noticeable difference this morning as the light draft in the hallway is gone.
Both very professional and informative as has always been our experience with A #1 Air. Thank you Sam and Michael for giving us peace of mind that our heating system is in good shape for the winter.
Just want to say that the service guy Roy came the day we called in for the AC not cooling and got in here and diagnosed the issue pretty quickly and then said he would have to get a part and if in stock would be here in the morning and he for sure was here and fixed the AC and we are back up and running just in time to beat the Texas heat that s about to start... Thank you A1Air for your fast service

(4/25/18) A#1 Air did a great job on a seasonal HVAC system tune up. I continue to be happy with the service and cost Donnie was cordial, polite, and professional. He did a thorough job inspecting the system and made relevant recommendations for feature and cost conscious services.

Called on a Thursday night due to my A/C unit giving up after years of struggling. Salesman Mike showed at my house Friday morning. Decided on a system and was installed the same day. Install crew was super professional and extremely knowledgeable. This was not a small job, needed a full system, including new refrigerant lines run through attic. Highly recommend, extremely satisfied.

Shout out to Patrick Castleberry in sales for all the time he spent with us designing the best system for our home, to Jose Del Cid for after installation fine tuning and problem solving and to Norbert Rodriguez for his technical expertise to overcome a complex problem. Highly recommend A#1 Air - they are sincerely a 5-star company!!
We just had a new a/c unit installed and very pleased with the quality of the work and the excellent customer service provided by A#1 Air. All technicians were professional and knowledgeable and took the time to explain and answer all of our questions. I cannot tell you how much I appreciated Kurt, Norbert and the installation crew. We had our city inspection today and the work passed with flying colors. The inspector commented that they always do a good job!!!

Had a Service call on my AC unit today. Technician was nice and he knew what he was doing. So I was pleased until I got the bill. 539.00 USD to fill 5 lb. of R 22. If you buy a 30 lbs cylinder here, typical price is 16 USD per lb. So they charge a margin of 500 % to their customers. Offered me to replace the cooling coil for 3098 USD !! Street price for the coil is about 400 USD. They also wanted to charge 314-550 USD for a leak test.
Won't use them again.
We had A#1 Air come out and look at our HVAC that was not cooling. My wife was home with the technician and they called me on the phone to go over what was wrong and our options. The tech explained to me that our condenser motor and 2 capacitors were bad and needed to be replaced for approximately $2800 but that they would not warranty the work and that we really needed 2 new systems. I asked if we just topped it off with coolant would the unit start working again, his response was that without the bad fan motor and capacitor being replaced that it would not cool. He recommended a Comfort Care specialist come visit us later that evening. We agreed to talk to the Comfort Care specialist who was very pushy and tried to scare us in to increased costs if we did not replace both systems the next day.
After thinking about it overnight we decided to get a second opinion from an independent HVAC contractor. When he arrived, he informed me that the fuse box for the "broken" condenser had been flipped to OFF and that the motor was working just fine and our unit just needed servicing.
I called A#1 to look at my unit after the condenser unit was not working. After a 5 minute inspection the technician said I could pay $658-900 for a fix but that I really needed a new system which was quoted for $8400 (Lennox XC13--if you look this up Lennox suggests a retail value of $2400-5000).
I called a second A/C service company and they fixed my system for less than half of the $658 quoted. Although the technician was friendly and professional I did not appreciate the outrageous pricing and unnecessary suggestion for repairs.
Bottom Line:
Professional appearance, Overpriced product, will up-sale you for items you do not need. If you're desperate, need a fast fix and are sitting on a mound of cash these are your guys.
