These people are garbage. Plain and simple. Called a cab an hour ago and still no one has arrived. A rep called me and said he was sorry that the can had mechanical issues.... really!!!???? So these people are trying to tell me the cab has been having issues and it took the rep to have to call him so he could tell him about it. Why didn't he do it himself and call when his can broke down instead of me waiting for now almost 2 hours!!!! Trash service. Never again will I use this company.

My mom made a reservation yesterday to be picked up today in the morning, but they did not show up to her up in the morning. It eats me up when they provided poor customer service. My Mom forced to walk all to S. Post Oak and Belfort at Whataburger in the dark morning, but it could worst. This company isn't much worth it when you are expecting them to keep their word, but they didn't. A poor disappointment...
I Called and asked for an MSP cab (metrolift cab) and when they arrived, they told my mom she had to pay regular fare and the driver was rude with her like he was doing it for free! He helped my mom by calling to the main office and asked if she requested an MSP cab and they confirmed. But the driver told my mom that the're other of their drivers that are not willing to help and they would not call the office to ask. Like they're doing for free! Disgusting!
We were in cab 1720 going from airport to hotel 8 miles away. The worker didn t even put the address in until he was driving and almost hit people. Then he didn t know where he was going and I had to give him instructions and he kept driving around the block and was still charging us for his mistake! Then had no courtesy at all. Should ve stuck with Uber.
Worst service I have ever experienced. Not only did I call once to order a taxi and again to check on it after over 20 minutes, but the man I spoke to to ask simply for an ETA said only "it's on its way" and seemed very put off when I asked if he could have a time frame. 45 minutes into my wait I called back again and was hung up on twice before I could speak to someone. While the woman who answered was more helpful than anyone else (she gave me the distance the taxi was from me) the 5 minute time frame she gave me turned into another 20 minutes after having the hotel concierge at his hotel call a 5th time. Finally we gave up. Considering I was ordering this taxi for someone else, it left a bad taste in both of our mouths. I hope never to take a taxi from them again. I would also like to point out that this was on a Wednesday night. Not exactly one of the busiest nights for a taxi. But if you're going to tell me my taxi is "right around the corner" then you better mean it.
Horrible service . The drivers never know what they are doing. And continually act as if they don't know where they are goin so they can run up the meter
I called for a cab and it arrived on time. I requested it to not be a van and someone who didnt speak Spanish (to avoid a creep) I got both those things and on top of that the driver was a total creep. He told me about his illegal transporting of immigrants and tried to invite me to lunch he was like 60 and I was 18 and refused to let me out of the car unless I gave him my number. You're better off walking.
Horrible Cab Serice. Will never use them again. We called at 10:00 a.m. to schedule a 3:30 p.m. pick up in the West Loop area going to Hobby Airport. At 3:30 the cab did not show up. We called at 3:40, 3:50 and 4:00 and were told a different story each time. Finally at 4:05 a cab showed up. Cab 311 The driver took the local highway lanes to the airport and we sat in traffic for 90 minutes. He had the audacity to get on his cell phone and complain to someone about having to take a fare to Hobby Airport. We got to our gate just as the plane was boarding.
One star is very over rated for this company. If anybody else ran a business like this they would out of business in a week or less. It all started with my cab not showing up to take me to the airport, I proceeded to call dispatch and was fed one lie after another. I am not surprised about their low rating but was recommended them by the hotel. Never get desperate enough to use them unless you like missing flights or other appointments.
I was scheduled to be picked up at 11:00am. I got a call at exactly 10:45am telling me that he was on his way. I stood outside waiting for about 15 minutes and the guy never showed up. This is by far the WORST taxicab service ever!!
I have been using yellow cab service in Houston for last 3 years and never had any problem..sometimes they do come late but that's because of Houston traffic..other than that its all good..the cars always looks new and the drivers are very courteous and nice..no complains till date..hope they keep up the good work...
This has to be the worst transportation service provided in Houston. I waited outside in the rain for 49 mins. Still no one was on their way. Their customer service was in constant contact with me; However, the drivers themselves seemed unmotivated and gave very very poor service.
Think of this cab service as a smelly way to dirty up your clothes and see the longer path to destiny. Nevermind about the murders, these men will get you there....eventually.

After the driver informed me he would arrive 10 minutes late, which turned into 30 plus, we had a roller coaster of a ride with erratic speed, unable to stay in a lane, and a driver personal hygiene freshening up while barrelling down the road. Never again.....going back to my reliable, courteous taxi service
I called in once asked for a taxi , the person simply said "We aren't uber" and hung up on me. It's the best thing after Uber. I highly recommend Uber.

Don't miss your flights ! Don't ever call this taxi ! I was for some hours in Houston while flying from London to New York. I didn't want to take risk of public transport to catch my flight and called these guys. No taxi came, again called and put on hold. They said that taxi is just 2 miles away but they never arrived in 65 minutes. In between I kept calling and they kept putting on hold and further disconnecting.
I had almost missed my flight when I saw a taxi from another company on a petrol station who came to fill petrol. I explained him the situation and requested to drop me at airport and that gentle taxi driver, brought me to the airport without caring of filling in petrol. I just catched my flight being last passanger to board. I will never forget this Yellowcab being the worst cab in the world. I have seen taxi's in several countries and some were bad too, but to this extent is really dangerous.
They could have honestly said that they wouldn't come then I could have found other taxi by time. They lied again and again for more than 1 hour. Moreover I spend more than $120 on 45 minutes internationals call to them. They are cheat and definitely not a serious business. I have registered a complaint at Transport Department of Houston.
Uh, having seen all the horrible reviews, I was very hesitant to call these guys. However, I have to put a good word in for them. While visiting the Houston Medical Center recently my wife and I needed a cab for two different rides. Both rides showed up in within 10 minutes, the drivers were pleasant and courteous, and they drove safely and got us to our destination in a timely manner. I'd give them 5 stars, but one of the cabs had a strong tobacco odor, so it's 4 stars. Seriously, give them a try.
I Hate to even give them one star. I called at 4:20 child was sick and needed to get there. I called yellow cab and the automated system said 20 minutes okay so I wait 20 minutes no one shows up I give it another 15 minutes before calling back, automated system picks up again tells me my driver will be there in 17 minutes, Wow okay so I wait another 20 minutes no cab call back and get connected to the cab driver he tells me he's on his way he's about 15 minutes away he's coming from the airport wait 15 minutes no cab driver call the automated system back it's still telling me 17 minutes so I can connect it back to the driver he has attitude tells me not to call Yellow Cab anymore just called him directly he is on his way he's coming from the airport like he said before finally he calls me back 20 minutes later and tells me he's 5 minutes away he had to stop and get gas but he is on his way and he's sorry for the wait. Wait another 20 minutes,call and get: I'm on my way I'm on my way I will be there I got caught up doing runs from the airport I told you I'll be on my way I basically in tears at this point because now it's basically two hours later and I can't get to my child so when he finally does show I told him we're going to the hospital and everything is there he tells me he cannot give me a ride because I do not have cash on me or my credit card I tell him I have an app that I can pay with he tells me I can't use the app I dont want to see the app get out my cab worst experience of my life I hate Yellow Cab I will never call them I will never give them any business I will for now on use Uber and make sure I have an account with them
Made a reservation with Yellow Cab, but I think they contracted my ride out to someone else. Cab was not Yellow, but a Town Car Service. The driver called me ahead of time to let me know he was on his way and when he arrived was courteous and knew how to get through morning rush hour traffic. Kept cost down and got me where I needed to go quickly.
Booked a ride, came 45 min later (was not even rush hour). Missed my meeting... You cannot talk with an operator, just a robot call. This is why people goes to Uber...
I have never had a cab ride before, and if I ever have to again, I will call someone else. I called, and I almost instantly someone called me back, only the guy didn't speak English very well and I couldn't understand what the bleep he was saying. He was asking where I was, and I explained where I was, the directions, the address, whatever. Well, it took him fifteen minutes and him calling me back 3 times for him to find me. At one point he called and demanded to know why I wasn't outside waiting for him. I was. I had been for a long while. He drove right by me at one point. ...anyways, he had the fare meter running that whole time, cos when I stepped into the cab, it was already at 5$ something. Ok, so we are only going a few miles down the road, but he manages to get us lost for about 2 miles. It's not a difficult address by the way, it's just an auto shop off of Westheimer. And he charges me for that, too. We finally get to the place and he even asks me for a tip. I wanted to scream. Instead I politely laughed, paid, and left. Never again. I thought Cabs were supposed to know where places were in town, otherwise why do they have a job driving people places? Don't call this place; they are rude, and don't know what they are doing.
I had three experiences with Yellow Cab Houston. I had to call them on three different occasions for pick up and had to wait over an hour, sometimes almost two hours. I am not even from the United States. Service sucks.
Service is terrible!! Unreliable driver's, long waiting time's, and most time's the driver will call and still won't show up. Save your time and sanity and just use Uber or Lyft( coming back to Houston soon), the driver's are a rip off with yellow cab at least with ride sharing you'll get your monies worth. They deserve to be shut down!!! Even after giving them another chance they still didn't show up to a scheduled pick up, smh completely done with this antiquated service.

Me and my friend were going to take the cab to go mid-downtown at 11, rescheduled at 11:30pm and they never came. We waited until literally 2am for a cab to pick us up since we were stranded, but "no one accepted our request, since no one was in our area." We kept calling and calling and being pretty relaxed about it even though we were stressed out of our minds, and one of the operators hung up on us. This service is very unprofessional, rude, lied to us because they told us someone was on their way an hour ago, and unreliable. I'll never EVER take this cab service again. It's a waste of time, and a headache- I recommend you don't use this service- if you even call it that.
Worked well for preorder, unlike uber who could not manage to confirm a ride a day in advance. As for quality of cabs, some are pretty new and fresh, others more worn. As for the drivers themselves, im not sure how much one can expect when a drivers salary is pretty much minimum wage. I know i dont expect much, or get much from say a walmart associate. They tend not to offer me drinks or open my doors either. So to expect that, as some reviwers do, seems a bit delusional. Where are the cabdriver supposed to store all the waterbottles they are assumed to offer the riders? Not to mention where they are supposed to do away with all the used bottles.

This is the experience ever, the driver called asked about distination and we gave it to him. Once after the driver #1683 pick us about 10 minutes he wanted fare up front with meter running. The driver refuse to drive any further without payment but he has the meter running. Then wanted to drop us off in the rain because we told him we will pay whatever the meter says. Then he called his dispatch and lied and called the police and lied. But what he failed to realize his company and the police was already called. So he could had kept his lies. This driver is so rude and disrespectful. RIP off trying to over charge.
ROAD RAGING Cab #1456 (got it all on video) just tried to ram me off the highway TWICE as I was attempting to merge onto 610 from Irvington, on the I-45 exchange. He deliberately tried to "close the gap" on me as I merged, then failing to do so must've ENRAGED him enough to speed up next to me, IN MY LANE, then literally turn his cab into me broadside! Failing to shove me over, he attempted again, but this time abruptly and violently that he almost rear-ended the truck in front of him.
I called a cab to pick me up at Walmart. I told them I would be outside at 215. The cab driver with a thick accent shows up at 150 gets a attitude saying I am not ready he was leaving. I told him that I told the lady 215. he hangs up. Thank goodness a nice guy who was dropping off another client saw me and asked if I needed a ride..he drives yellow cab also. They need to have customer service training for the dispatchers and the drivers.
After spending 12 hours in the ER, i called this cab service to be my transportation home. It took them 2 hours to get there after multiple call backs. when the cab arrive I told him that I only had my debt card on me to pay my bill and he just rode off leaving me there in pain. I will never recommend this company to no one. I have found a better cab service here that is true to the word !
Do NOT use yellow cab services. Had my driver arrive 20 minutes early and leave me a bunch of voicemails because I wasn't ready to be picked up yet. When I got into the cab, he was complaining about how people kept paying with credit, then charged me 25 dollars for a 5 minute trip BEFORE driving and didn't even start the meter! I asked for cash back since he was being a baby about people using credit and said "What you're not going to tip?" I only tip with good service, and this was far from it. I decided to leave a review when I saw others had the same experiences. Their customer service is just as vile. Another Nigerian lady answered and sent me off to voicemail when I asked to speak to a representive. I had to call twice before actually getting someone that isn't a scum human being.
Worst taxi company ever! If it wasn't such a big company I would never use them! my husband uses them 7 days a week for rides to work, and every time their late and very rude! I recently used them for a long distance trip to the other side of houston, and the driver who barely spoke english was very rude! He yelled at me for not recieveing his call to go outside. When I told him I had a bad phone signal he yelled again the same as before "I called you didnt answer I cannot be waiting" really yellowcab?! Then on the freeway he wanted to go 40 instead of 60 so we almost had a wreck! come on now, CUSTOMERS are what keep you in business! treat us with the respect we deserve for lining your pockets!
These ppl are so desperate for money they will actually hire drivers that not only over charge MENTALLY CHALLENGED YOUTHS but went as far to STRONG ARM him for the money when he protested it. CITY of HOUSTON regulatory affairs had to get involved and they are still trying to collect the money from Yellow Cab. Yellow cab is still not cooperating even though they admitted that the boy had been "Taken for a ride" by this driver who seriously lacked any kind of morals to do it that to begin with. YOU WILL BE SAFER ON METRO THAN TO USE THIS COMPANY.

It s unfortunate that I have to give Yellow cab even one star because they deserve no stars at all. The lack of service we received today is pathetic and there s no excuse. My mother called yesterday to have my father picked up today. She actually scheduled the appointment and was told that a large wheelchair accessible van would pick him up at a designated time. This was a special occasion to take my father out of the nursing home and out to eat for his birthday. After no one showed up or called and we had been waiting for 15 minutes I called. I was told they were trying to locate a cab for him. So, they were trying to locate the cab we already reserved yesterday? We waited and waited and when I called back I was told it would be about 10 minutes. That was the longest 10 minutes I ve ever seen because no cab ever showed up. No one from Yellow cab called either. I called back a few hours later after we had to cancel my father s birthday lunch at the restaurant. I asked to speak to a supervisor and was told that they kept calling me but no one answered. Lies! We will NEVER use yellow cab again. I will find a reliable transportation company that doesn t disregard their customers. Shameful!
I'm glad Uber and Lyft will soon put this joke of a company out of business. Had a reservation time (because i was coming in from out of town) driver shows up 15 minutes early, calls me, I tell him I'm 8 minutes away but he leaves anyway. Call him twice, no answer from the sob so I call dispatch and yes, he left and it'll be 42 minutes to send another ride. Mind you all this and it's still not yet even my reservation time! Uber was there in 8 minutes flat. Never again with YC, they are antiquated.
Arranged to be taken to the airport. Explained that I had to be there by a certain time. 10 minutes after pick up time I called only to find out driver was still 20 minutes away. Had to drive myself and missed my flight. Thanks Yellow Cab. It's Uber from now on!
This happened today on 9-10-2016 vehicle number 365 on 1960 and impetial valley drive around 8:40 at night.Your employee was in jack n the boxs drive through on what im assuming was his lunch break and wanted out of the line.Me being the last person in line he gave me no signal that he wanted out and just started backing up .Thank god i saw him backing up so i backed up the gentelman does bother to let me fully back out almost takes out the front of my van and when i signaled him a hey why ho signal for backing up let alone cant you give me a change to back all the way out in a polite way he flips me the bird and pulls into the parking lot to go inside .Im sorry but that was flat out rude of your driver .Im a pretty nice person and understand lunch breaks are precious im a blue collar working person as well.But there is no reason to give a person the finger after the went out of there way to atleast move for you were as most people wouldnt.I hope you take matters into correcting this employees behavior.Thanks for your time.

They are lousy drivers with no driver edict...A drunk person can drive better! They are stupid Mexicans that flip people off for there bad driving! We were in the cab and the person flipped off a guy for bad driving...His bad driving!!!
Worse service ever. First off it took them 40 minutes for them to get to my apartment, then he called and said he was on one road & pulled up on another. Plus the last 4 times I had taken a cab the fee was $10 buck I said I needed to pay up front because my girl needed the change & he claims he had no change all he had was $6 on him, while the other drivers had more then enough change. So he basically got a $4 tip on my behalf. Never again..!!
