Well ... I am going back to Toyota of El Cajon tod...

Well ... I am going back to Toyota of El Cajon today to look at purchasing another vehicle. For those of you who are looking to buy both new and used and you are a Toyota Family like my family or new to Toyota, I highly recommend Toyota of El Cajon. Now I personally do not have any extra $ right now because I am about to purchase a new vehicle but it I did, I would honestly put money on the guarantee that you with come in happy for a new vehicle and leave even happier in a safe, reliable vehicle and your service would have been top notch. For San Diegan's Nordstrom quality service. I'll let you know how today went as well when I am through and have my new pretty fun safe and reliable vehicle. I haven't checked our Honda of EC yet. Sister dealership next door but I do like Hondas too. I'll post back with what I decided on later.
One more thing I would like to mention is toyota of EC employs a lovely woman named Laura Brewer as I believe their PR rep. She does not normally handle purchases however she does answer more high level requests. Anyway a definite asset to thier family business

I usually don t leave reviews on anything but the way I was treated by Toyota of El Cajon today was absolutely wonderful. Right when we got there Simeon came and helped us and from there it was such a nice experience. All of the employees we talked to were so polite. I never felt like they were pushing a sale on me and left it all up to me and my choice. I had been to two different dealerships and i never made a choice because i felt like they were pushing the sale on me and pressuring me. They make you feel very comfortable which i really appreciated. They also give the best deals and I will definitely be recommending them to my friends and family. Extremely happy to say that i leased a car from them. Thank you for such a great customer service and experience.

Love my Toyota service center. Eliseo is always helpful and courteous. Everyone I ve dealt with there has been. Always quick and efficient. When I have waited for my car, they always make sure you are comfortable with coffee, (do I mention the donuts?), WiFi lounge, different tv shows to watch, etc. Time always flies by with the added amenities . I have been very impressed with my first Toyota and would buy again mostly because of their excellent customer service!

My husband had been emailing different Toyota dealerships about a 2017 V6 Highlander and he felt that he got the best overall feedback from Maly at El Cajon. Maly answered our questions and clarified certain things via email which led to our decision of going to their dealership.

We received an email saying they had to do a trade but our car was at El Cajon Toyota so we set up an appointment and came in the next morning. We were directed to Zack Khoshnaw who was completely amazing from the beginning. Not only did he have to run around finding our invisible car but he figured out and explained to us what had happened in a calm, professional manner. The dealer trade that was suppose to occur, didn't due to the other dealership selling our car. My husband and I were very disappointed as this was going to be our first purchase as a newly married couple but he took us to see a V4 so we could compare the interior because we originally wanted ash but he knew we'd like black better.. which we did!

Zack sat us down and tracked down our exact car about 120 miles away and said he would go see what he could do to rectify the mix up. His manager came out and they informed us of how they would accommodate what happened and it was very generous in our eyes. Zack told us to grab lunch and bring the receipt back and our car would be on its way but may not be there until the night and they'd detail it and have it ready the following morning. Zack actually called us that night to inform us that he did indeed have his eyes on our car which set our minds at ease and was much appreciated.

Sunday morning, we arrived and Zack took complete care of us and actually got us an even better price. The icing on the cake was that this Highlander came with a rack and he also took care of the little details that my husband had mentioned he wanted via email. Zack went above and beyond to make sure our first bump in the road was just a distant memory and he ensured that we left happy. I actually feel like we were the fortunate ones when we left Toyota of El Cajon after Zack's customer service!

I recently purchased a new vehicle from this dealership. This was easily the best experience I have ever had buying a new car. There is such a warm and pleasant vibe to that dealership, and you can feel it as soon as you walk in the doors. It is a super clean, sleek dealership with a large, wide open floor plan that promotes a relaxed and pleasant feeling to the car buying experience--as it should be!!! The entire dealership staff is really very professional in their handling of all customer interactions. The sales rep I worked with, George, is a very polished, eloquent man, and his calm, patient and pleasant demeanor was a breath of fresh air. George handled most of the facets of the purchase with me and he was actually a pleasure to work with as a car buyer. I never once felt pressured, as I have in the past with other dealers. He was just so calm and easy about everything. The price I was quoted for the new vehicle was astonishing--far, far better than any other dealer's price at any other Toyota dealership in San Diego County. It made me feel like this dealership really did want my business (many dealers say that, but this dealership actually expressed it the way I was treated!). I was even surprised at what I was quoted for the trade in--more than I expected! In the car finance department, Tan was also super efficient in working up all the papers that have to be signed. I was in and out!! This experience has led me to believe that well run car dealerships can really make a difference in a car buying experience. Buying a new car should be fun--and this was! I am soooooo delighted with my new car purchase-and not just the new car, but the entire experience. Thanks to all the incredibly professional staff at Toyota El Cajon. PS They are also on top of the "distance car buying" during this pandemic too!!!!

I had just moved to San Diego and started working at Fox Factory in el cajon and realized I needed a toyota dealership to have my car serviced at. After a quick google search, I found El Cajon Toyota and made a trip over there during my lunch break. Everyone from the attendant at the front desk to the service writers were very friendly and helpful. I'm considering purchasing a CH-R from this dealership because they always seem to have a huge selection of them. I'll update this review after speaking with a salesperson. I would highly recommend their service center. Great service!

Update 3/6/2020 Had another recent service appt to replace a blown tire. TOYOTA of El Cajon service write, Shawn, was extremely helpful, polite and thorough with everything. While I dont look forward to unnecessary service appt, knowing that I will be treated well makes it worth it. Also, they had donuts from a local bakery!!! So good.

Had another amazing experience with Toyota of El Cajon . Our salesman Shawn was very helpful and friendly. He was able to give us a great deal and got us into a 2018 camry with a lot of really cool features. He made the process very quick and easy which made the whole experience better because it sucks to have to sit around a dealer all day trying to get a car. This is my second car ive purchased through him and I highly recommend him to anyone look to purchase a new vehicle . Ask for Shawn and I guarantee you wont be sorry.

well let me start with 3 days earlier i went in looking for a new car and i started at ford no one will help me, went Chevy no one would help me there either , i went to Honda and i couldn't even get anyone to take time with me so i start thinking its the way i look, but then i went next door to Toyota of el cajon and that's where i met JOSE MENDOZA he seen me looking at cars and asked me if i needed any help he doesn't care what you look like he will help you. so i told him i was looking to get a new car or a used car and then the question about credit that's when i told him about my credit history he didn't run away like most people would do cus i am not a easy customer it was going to hard to get me in a car. At toyota credit was not a problem i found a used car that my wife and i like so we sat down and started talking about price and almost had a deal done. i stopped Jose and asked what other cars would you have in that price range, i thought he would be mad about stopping the deal and he wasn't which surprised me. he said " lets go look" we found 2 more used cars that we like and then that's when Jose asked us to take a look at a car that we have never would of thought of it was a scion xB. it was a perfect fit for what my family need a bigger car and to top it off it was a brand new car. So when we thought it was impossible Jose and toyota of El Cajon made it possible for me to have a new car. this is the first time ever in my life to have a brand new car.

Amazing staff. Right when you walk into t the door there is a staff waiting for you and greets you so nicely. The dealership is clean and very spacious. Great play area for the kids which is also a plus because the car buying process can take up to a couple of hours.

This would have been a 5 star post had my vehicle not been returned smelling disgusting (similar to cigarettes).

Reason for service - Dashboard warranty.

I took my vehicle in for the 1st inspection of the sticky dashboard. The two services reps were very attentive and quick to notice the defected dashboard and set me up for the replacement. They took care of me right away and provided a vehicle rental.

Upon my pick up I immediately smelled the horrible scent. I went to the service rep and asked if the mechanics were allowed to smoke in the vehicles. He stated none of his mechanics smoke. Then he went on to say that it must be the smell of the new dashboard rubber material and that I should use laundry sheets to help eliminate the unpleasant smell. I gave him the benefit of the doubt and went home. My sister recently had the same dashboard replacement (bec we have 4 Toyotas in the family) and I verified if she too had the smelly problem.
She did not have this problem.

It is not often that I get to provide GOOD feedback on a car dealership today is the day.

To start, I should say that I was looking for a Toyota 4Runner, Trail, Premium, not a vehicle that is found in quantity in San Diego, in fact, there were was only one when I first started my search.
Working through United Services Automobile Association (USAA) s Car Buying Service, there are only three Toyota Dealerships that USAA certifies; Toyota of El Cajon, Toyota of Poway and Toyota of Escondido. Escondido offered the greatest discount, so I went there first and was treated to a very inconvenient and somewhat sloppy Bait and Switch routine (Yes, I have described the incident to USAA). Next, and within $200 of the Escondido price, was Toyota of El Cajon, what a different dealership.

From the start, I was treated with respect and professionalism. I had done my homework and knew the 4Runner, especially its off-road capabilities. I was on alert for what I expected to be typical salesman fluff and was surprised when I got none. My questions were answered with facts, not opinions and when my salesman didn t know the answer, he said so and promptly found out the answer from their staff of experts.

Okay, so they are not feeding me what comes out of the South end of a bull walking North. Now let s find the specific 4Runner I want. I knew that there were two in Los Angeles and three in Phoenix, but I really didn t want to drive that far if I could help it. After a thorough search by my salesman and his boss, they found what I was looking for, freshly build but in Japan. It was scheduled to arrive in El Cajon in three weeks. They showed me the spec sheet and estimated delivery date.

I had a USAA buying Certificate which had a guaranteed price significantly below the MRSP. Right up front, they honored the USAA Certificate and after nearly 4 hours of negotiating and haggling on my part, we agreed on a price. It was so low that I thought they will never actually sell me the inbound 4Runner for such a low price since the demand is high and supply low on 4Runners. At the last minute, after I wait three weeks, there will be a hidden extra cost that they didn t know about , assuming that I will simply roll over and pay the extra cost since I waited so long . I signed no papers and neither did they. They said that I would be notified when the 4Runner came in and they gave me their price work sheet with our agreed upon price.

Fast forward almost four weeks (not bad considering it came across the Pacific Ocean) the 4Runner shows up; I am called. With all my mental alarms in high gear, I drove to the Dealership expecting the worst. I was disappointed. My salesman had all the paper work we had agreed upon and the price did not change one lick. All the conditions I had insisted on were met and the 4Runner (nice and shiny) was waiting for me. I even enjoyed going through the finance department for the final sign-off of the paperwork. In a few hours, I was driving home my new 4Runner and I couldn t have been more pleased.

A special thanks to Michael Farhat, Hiwa Knoshnaw (Michael s boss) and even Jose Gomez (Finance Manager) for their composure, expertise and dedication to keeping me happy and relaxed.

We got our Brand new 2014 Toyota 4 Runner Limited Edition 2 days ago and we absolutely love it!!! Luckily we met Ryan Darby at El Cajon Toyota and he is the best !!! After, Having such a bad experience at another Toyota dealership we decided to go to El Cajon Toyota and talked to Ryan Darby about what we wanted and he made it happen! We got the car we wanted a Black 4 runner with Black interior, one would think its easy to get but it actually isn't.... But again Ryan made it happen!!!!

We had 2 toyota sedans, one of them is hybrid. So, we service our car here on basic routine. In the morning, they provide free doughnuts. But they are limited in amount and they will not restocked whole day. Tea, coffee, chocolate and water is always there for free, help yourself but be careful with hot water. Free internet using. Children can play in the ship. Adult can just sitting down and watch the tv. There is a store that sells toyota auto parts inside. Even if you dont want to wait, they offer you free shuttle from/to your house. For this, you need to be patience in waiting. It could be take longer in busy day.
For those who take public transportation, it can be reached by green trolley toward Santee from SDSU or SDSU from Santee and stop at a station, I forget the name (only one stop after el cajon transit center).

The one car we really wanted, 2015 Highlander in Blizzard Pearl, was not available anywhere in San Diego! He searched high and low from LA to Temecula and finally found what we wanted. We had a fantastic buying experience this weekend at Toyota of El Cajon. We had decided on a Toyota Highlander Hybrid, and after visiting all of the local dealerships for quotes, Toyota of El Cajon not only far and away beat all the others in terms of price, but the salesman, Darnell, was not pushy, was transparent, and helped us through the process without any of the usual distastefulness of buying a car. After visiting all of the local Toyota dealerships, we were so impressed at the no-frills approach of Toyota El Cajon, and we would definitely recommend Darnell Jackson to anyone who is looking for a smooth transaction without a lot of fanfare and hype, and a price that beat out all the other quotes we received from dealerships within 500 miles!

Tried to buy a transmission pan gasket for my vehicle unfortunately he said they didn t have any in stock and no other store in San Diego did either, which I found hard to believe. So I called the store in national city and William/ Willy helped me out no problem. They had it in stock. I think this kid was new and didn t know what he was doing. He listened to what I was concerned about and the service techs were able to take care of most of them except a noise they said was coming from behind my fire wall and if they tore into it I would have to pay for it and just to start it would be over $ 400 . Not possible at this time it isn t covered by my extended warranty. But other than that my experience was good!

My passenger mirror broke on a hit and run. My insurance didn t cover it. So when I went into the service department they said it was my fault... I said how is it my fault when the base part is made of plastic? They told me that they would have to replace the WHOLE mirror. I only needed the base to be fixed and they refused. The cost the tried to charge me was 300 for the part plus 150 for the labor. That s 450 dollars!!! What a scam this dealership is. I really do regret purchasing my car. I didn t know that service would be this terrible. They don t try to help you they want to screw you over as much as possible. Also the people that tried to help me were very rude in the service department.

David was kind enough to check my vehicles' history to tell me that an oil change would not be needed and that the car should be sent for a check-up to resolve the issues.
