This is a great place for a peaceful and happy, relaxing vacation. The turtle hospital was very interesting.

The Westin hotel decor was beautiful! The workout facility had a great view of the beach. The proximity to the beach from the hotel was amazing, steps away! The staff were friendly and professional. I look forward to coming back with my family!
I couldn't resist several walks on the beach: day and night!
It was the best work commute I have had in a while with a close walk to the convention center.

I wanted to write a 5 Star review and it is all because of Yolanda! Truthfully, our breakfast wasn t the greatest but her customer service and the attention she provided us made it a great experience! I hope her manager takes the time to recognize her because I am a Senior Executive and I am always paying close attention to the service provided. You have one amazing employee on your hands and she deserves kudos! I otherwise would be leaving upset with an unfavorable review. We all know, the staff can make or break your business! Thank you Yolanda!

Very quiet, serene and definitely the place for a peaceful getaway... Loved being able to walk from my room straight on to the beach. I believe all of the rooms have some view of the ocean, some more than others. Lots of parking. Centrally located in a nice village with shops, restaurants and a market with everything you could want. You could bike or walk almost anywhere. Spacious room, very clean and beautiful property. Staff provides great service!!

Very nice facilities. Great concierge (Jed) and front desk staff. Housekeeping poor (skipped my room), breakfast mediocre (poor Westin buffet, though staff and eggs chef were awesome...just the selection was the skimpiest of any Westin I've stayed at), didn't get my wakeup call :(

Stayed past week and everything was excellent except they forgot to place a non-slip mat in the shower. I had to res-set the outlet GFI in the bathroom. Other than that, everything was excellent.

Had a great time! This is a beautiful hotel. Our room 464 was very clean with new furniture and styled nicley. The amenities where great and the staff was friendly. Nice pool with a bar convenient to the beach. Don't waste your money on the smelly holiday inn or the days inn. It's better to pay an extra $50 for a nice hotel.

It is truly a jewel of the south the staff is Awesome and makes you feel at home

Just had a couple of drinks there. Pricey but nice.

The hotel is nice, but the restaurant does not care at all about how long youre waiting for someone to take the check so that you can pay, our waiter saw it but kept trying to delay it, we've been stuck at a table for 30 minutes waiting for someone to notice, and the buffet
(Which is what I got) the food is terrible! One of the waiters was very rude to me when I got the parfait, but this place does not deserve 4.5-5 stars.

Can't say enough great things about the Westin! Beautiful pool! Great location! Bonus was the brand new bikes we were able to rent to ride around the island. Walking distance to everything!

Great hotel,good bit of parking in the lobby there was a sitting area will some classic modernized games like connect four and my sister loved to play with them,out on the deck there is a fire pit which if you ask they will light it for you, although the Starbucks only had one barista was great.The room was good and I loved the small removable shower head!

It s was great it sits on the coast so it s has a beautiful view. And the employees were nice.

This Hotel had A+ customer service! The staff were so friendly and helpful. My son celebrated his 5th birthday while we were there and the staff surprised him with milk and cookies in our room! We will definitely be visiting again. Very kid friendly!

We stayed overnight for a spontaneous beach visit. The rooms were nice a clean, view was breathtaking and the breakfast was much nicer than any hotel I've visited.

Titanium member... Trying to use upgrade suite certs is almost impossible, especially when hotels like this deny your cert while upgrades are still available to book... I digress...
Terrible pillows, air conditioning cuts off automatically waking you up a couple times a night, pillows are overused and old, they close the pool and hot tub AT SIX (go next door to the Ocean Club - have dinner, hang by the fire and hot tub - open til 10). Lastly, since they re hurting for money at 95% capacity + using covid as an excuse, they tag on a resort fee still of $20/nt. It includes $2 off your starbucks coffee.
Wait til the two new Marriott properties open in the Spring and don t waste your money here.

This place is amazing, there's something for everybody.

Room with ocean view was lovely. Much to be improved with customer service, buffet breakfast and staff and cleaning of room. Front desk needs professional development training. Facility is beautiful.

Do not waste your money here. The chef is horrible. We had runny uncooked omelettes for breakfast and a raw lobster tail at dinner. The bartender had an attitude and the servers were hit or miss. Very disappointing

The Westin is located right in Beach Village on Jekyll Island. Easy walking distance to shops. The hotel is modern and sports high end touches throughout the property. The rooms are spacious and clean. There is a fridge, a hotel style More

To be what is considered a high end hotel we were very disappointed! We payed a very high price for a room there for the weekend to spend our honeymoon. The staff was nice, the room was nice. But first off there was a mix up on our credit card which caused problems . Then the entire time we were there housekeeping never came once. We finally had to call and ask if we could have clean towel sets. Then when they brought it , we only got towels, no wash cloths or hand towels. Also the refrigerator in our room never got cold. Oh yes let's not forget the fire alarm sounding off and us having to evacuate the hotel at 11:30 pm on our wedding night! All due to a faulty elevator NOT a fire! We were just very disappointed, it was suppose to be a special time which is one of the reasons we choose the Westin. But we regret it now.

Generally, I try not to write reviews unless I have something positive to say. However, considering the reputation and price point of The Westin, I felt that I should say something about my experience.

The first thing I should mention is that my room was not ready until after 6 PM, over two hours after scheduled check-in. That's inconvenient, but I understand that these things happen. What's unacceptable is that the staff seemed totally unconcerned about the problem. Even knowing that I had an exhausted toddler who needed to rest, the front desk staff made no apologies, offered no compensation, and made no attempt to expedite the housekeeping process. On more than one occasion we were told that housekeeping was working on our room. Upon going up to the room, however, it was clear that no one was present. Only after compensation was demanded did the front desk offer free breakfast vouchers.

After checking in, we had ongoing issues with housekeeping throughout our stay. On the first day, housekeeping never arrived. On the second day, my wife politely asked for our room to be visited since it had not been cleaned the day before. She was told it would be taken care of, but again, no one came. On the third day, my wife was rather rudely brushed off when she made the same request a second time. The employee she spoke with didn't ask for or make any attempt to note our room number. I called the front desk and asked to request a specific window for a housekeeping visit since my toddler would be napping in the room. I was told that that would be fine, but housekeeping instead showed up in the middle of naptime, completely unaware of my request. My toddler woke up and that was the first and last time I ever saw housekeeping. We never even received fresh towels.

I want to be fair, so it's worth mentioning that the hotel is beautiful, the location is great, and there were several employees who genuinely cared about our experience. The bellhop staff was exceptional, patiently working with us to get loaded and unloaded and even offering complimentary bottled water for our drive home. We went by the hotel restaurant, The Reserve, a couple times and both times were met with friendly, helpful service.

If you're looking for a beachfront hotel, it's not that hard to find a tidy room and a good beach. When you book The Westin, it's probably because you're expecting a higher level of service than you'd find elsewhere. In this case, the staff couldn't deliver. Maybe we caught them on a bad week, but I can't help but feel that we could have gotten a comparable or perhaps better experience at a lower price point.

sewage back up in our rooms, at 8:30 at night told they had no rooms but weird could have booked new room online. Finally after two hours got a new room with dirty bed.

The Good:
The location is as good as it gets for beachfront properties in Georgia.
The food is what you would typically expect from a resort.
The view from the room is very nice and definitely a full beach view.
The Bad:
The add-ons at this property are ludicrous.
Room service was a bit exorbitant as can be anticipated but the late night food arrived flavorless, cold, and distasteful.
I agree with a previous reviewer who detailed the beach chair prices take it or leave it.

Very disappointed in our stay here. The only reason it got 3 stars is because the beach access and property were great. It's right up against the beach with a nice courtyard and pool area. Decent workout room and such. The room was not good at all. Shower barely worked (leaking broken heads), terrible water pressure (water conservation aside), the toilet barely flushed, wouldn't even take down light toilet paper. Multiple bulbs out. The hallways are beat up everywhere. Multiple bathrooms had broken faucets (hanging out of wall even). Rental bikes were trashed. Such a nice property to be so awfully maintained. Personnel were nice but scarce. Convenient to conference center, but don't stay here for a vacation.

Pub on the corner across from the Westin on Jekyll island was terrific. I built this awesome burger and Emma built me a big to protect my white shirt from chili, cheese, onions... oh my. Hahaha. When you go. Ask for Emma. This place rocks.

Bartender was unfriendly and got drink orders wrong. Dessert was good, but took entirely too long to come out, especially since they were all out of the refrigerator.

Provided free ocean view room upgrade. Room was clean and spacious. Small deck was perfect for early morning views. Good restaurant and every worker was friendly.

The Westin is a beautiful hotel located on the water. The convention center area has a lot of additional shops for guests to utilize when not on the beach. The restaurant menu and food were very good. Service at lunch on a slow day was good not great. We enjoyed a picture perfect day so no g and drinking al fresco.

The room was exceptionally nice and provided a beautiful view of the ocean. The staff was friendly and helpful and the hotel's location was convenient to the convention center and Beach Village. I highly recommend the Westin.

When booking the trip we had issues with the website and called the Westin directly who went above and beyond to help us secure our reservation. When we arrived we valet parked and the valet staff was excellent (we had forgotten bug spray in our car and the attendant RAN to our car and back with the item). Check in was a breeze. Our room was clean, bed was amazingly comfortable to the point of us googling how to purchase one. We had nice breakfast with starbucks coffee (which is the most important part of the meal) the hotel couldn't be in a better location beach and townside. It was overall a wonderful trip. Many thanks to the staff at Westin.

This is the perfect place to get to away. They take really great care of their quest. My husband and I went for our 7 year anniversary and everyone made us feel so welcome from the front desk to the bartenders. It was an awesome experience. The food and beverage manager brought us drinks to celebrate our anniversary also the bartenders Bryan and Brennan were the best they took really great care of us. Their hospitality was on point. We really enjoyed our weekend. Wish we could of stayed a little bit longer. This is an awesome hotel. I will be returning in the near future. Thanks to everyone that made our weekend memorable.

Everything about this hotel is top notch. Right on the beach, wonderful restaurants, and rooms you actually enjoy staying in. Bed is comfortable, and the bathroom is sleek and modern.

We stay here every year for Vex competitions, they are always amazing!

Great hotel. Right on the beach. Clean and spacious rooms. Great shower with detachable wand and plenty of pressure. Great flushing commode. Light was dim in the bathroom, though. Nice furniture and comfortable bed. Great desk. All is well.

Excellent resort. Lovely modern rooms and a wonderful restaurant. The beach location let's you take full advantage of the sand and surf. Friendly and welcoming staff really make you feel that you are a valued guest. I am looking forward to arriving in the daytime in a week so that we can take advantage of the gorgeous views. It is easy to see why the ultra rich had this island as a hunting club.

The food and staff have been great the two times I've been here.

Lots of wild, drunk rednecks and their children running wild till at least midnight. It truly reeks of that good old trailer-park ambiance. If that s what you want at these prices, and with the terrible water quality, you ve got it at the Westin!

5 star all the way! We've stayed here 4 times since the opening and we're currently in route to check in for our 5th. The staff is amazing from the vallet to the restaurant. Oceanfront rooms are 100% worth the extra money and for extraordinary service at the Reserve Restaurant (at night) ask for Jackie!! Defenitly recommend!

Great experience. The rooms are nice, and breakfast was delicious. Only negative would be the hot tub closes at dark.

Loved that you had the ability to have early check-in and late check-out. We checked in at 10am and checked out at 4pm. Staff was very nice. Beds we're extremely comfortable. The resort is on the beach and the pool is heated. The only thing I didn't care for was the rain shower.

Such a beautiful hotel. We really enjoyed out stay over Labor Day.

Horrible time just trying to book a room for the night. 15 minutes of recorded messages from one place to another, not just recordings but advertisements during the process, something about a security incident and a total run around. Finally hung up, called front desk who refused to even talk about a room, instead referring me back to the same recordings. Nope. No thanks. You're not the only hotel out there. Get over yourselves.

We had breakfast at their restaurant. The food was wonderful, our waitress was friendly, and they even let us bring our puppy.

Love this place. Very eligate. Beds sleep so good. Get the ocean view. They have amazing breakfast. This is a resort setting.

The resort is great- I m taking off 1 star bc the pool is small and easily crowded. The other star off is for the mud at the beach. The water is so dark my kids called it chocolate water. Can only really swim at high tide unless you want to be in pure mud.

Only a three stars here is why, got a red bug and twice when we wanted to plug it in over night a car was where the buggy should be, so the next day we had to find a place to plug it in. Disappointing when I told the guy who checked us out to hear.. yea we know and doing something about it. Well that didn't help me any. Expensive hotel and cant keep the buggy area available for Red Bugs only, they are not cheap to rent and need to plug in...

Awesome place to relax and enjoy. Lots of history and the rooms are phenomenal. On the beach or in the pool, wonderful place to vacay.
