Very relaxing. Good ambiance. Right by beach. Friendly staff.

Nice facility but deplorable staff throughout except the restaurants. Training level seemed marginal at best, enthusiasm dismal and execution barely acceptable, if that. Bathroom shower had been repaired with duct tape, no shower mat or non-slip feature, pool not open when advertised, green program to reduce room cleaning needs was unexecutable. A follow-up call to get assistance essentially told me I was out of luck. I've never written an unfavorable review before, but this one is a pleasure to undertake. How tragic!

Beautiful views. The Westin is located so conveniently next to the adorable beach shops and dining! There is tons of parking and lots of nice spaces to sit outside and enjoy your day. Jekyll Island is one of our family's favorite spots to go, and the Westin is the best place to stay!

This hotel is gorgeous. I went during the Fourth of July with my wife and dog, and we had a wonderful time. The room is sleek, and well appointed. There is a lot of storage space. I loved the showers with the dual rain heads and hand held nozzles. We didn't book an ocean view, but we were pleasantly surprised that we could see the ocean from our room anyway. The bell hops were incredibly helpful getting our luggage, beach chairs, and dog crate in. The pool was incredibly relaxing, with amazing lounge chairs, a nice bar with incredible service, and a good atmosphere. We will be back.

Outstanding place 4 star restaurant and bar outstanding rooms and service.

Ocean view room was perfect and immaculate. Great service. The door attendants and bellhops were always friendly and had smiles on their faces. The staff accommodated my requests whenever possible. For you fitness buffs, this place had a great fitness room!

Needed time away for thoughts about 2020. Could not have selected a better location. The facilities, the food, the location and most of all the people of the Westin Jekyll Island were amazing. Friendly, engaging, caring, and personable, the staff were all of these and more. Proximity to restaurants, shopping, and local attractions, were great. Will be back next year if not before. Thank You Westin!!!

I liked this place but I got sandspers all in my feet it hurt but I liked it loved it

We arrived at 4 PM to check in before attending a conference at 5:30. I was informed that my room was not ready and that they would call me when it was. Luckily for the staff, I had forgotten a form at the conference center and my room was ready when I returned at 4:50. That gave me 20 minutes to get ready for the event I had already traveled 5 hours for and it was very hectic getting back to the conference center for the third time. If my room hadn't been delayed, I would have gotten the form when I returned at 5:30 when the conference started. We received no apology or comp for our room.

My husband ordered room service on Saturday night and when asked if he wanted his burger medium, medium-well, or well done, he responded well. The server on the other end repeated medium, medium-well, or well-done. He responded again with well. She said well isn't an option. He had to explain to her that well means well-done...this wait staff is absolutely incompetent. We also put out the trey and pressed the button for it to be picked up at 10 PM and it was still there when we left at 6 AM the next morning.

During that time we received a notification that the water would be off from 11 PM - 3 AM. When we woke at 5:30 on Sunday, there was no hot water and basically no water pressure. To top it off, our air was cut off that we had set at 69 and it was 76 in our room. I would NEVER recommend this hotel and could have paid for a Super 8 and gotten better service.

Very nice hotel to stay in. Restaurant is very good and hotel service overall very professional. Shops next store make it very convenient to do some shopping for gifts or last minute needs. Clean room and beach was nice. Only wish the coffee shop was open already when i stayed there but can't have everything.

Staying at other places in Jekyll island now, i appreciate this place even more now. Great service and rooms. Very attentive staff and i can't wait until they open back up!

Awesome place to stay. Definitely what you would expect in a resort. Was there for a conference and the amenities for the conference were also great. Great place to vacation as well as have a conference.

Definitely worth the admission. That was super neat. I loved to see the turtles and watch them get rehabilitated as well as learning some quick facts about them

Just shopped at the shops, but so glad Jekyll has them. Wished the hours were longer but super cute clean place.

Went to the Westin's restaurant for breakfast. Ok good, overall nice place.

Having a wonderful time! Wish you were here. A pod of dolphins swam by this morning. Its heaven.with a beautiful view of the ocean. Shout out to chief concierge Jed Wall for the help and superior customer service.

Kind of Bla... Nothing breathtaking. Very poor service and amenities for a Starwood brand. The hotel indicates that it is a resort however, it does not live up many Starwood resorts. Ever paid $269 a night and the staff hardly acknowledges that you are there? Seems to be a result of poor training. Aside for the hotel, there is not much that Jekyll has to offer.

I went there to go to the beach and visit my family. It is very nice and there are shops and restaurants nearby.

Nice hotel. Did have issue with housekeeping not coming on time one day. Also had issue with billing.

This has been a terrible experience so far. I would definitely not recommend staying with the Westin. Drove 10 hrs with 2 small children to only arrive and find out that even though we had a reservation, our room had been given away. The staff then gave us a night at another hotel 30 mins away. A room with 1 bed for 4 people. Not at all acceptable. The staff was rude and not helpful and corporate office has done nothing so far to help. Obviously, customer service is not a priority.

Beautiful hotel with very accommodating staff. Would love to go back with the family and explore the area when not on business and enjoy the sites and the beautiful view. The restaurant was very good and the recommendations from the waitress were spot on. Highly recommend.

We just walked into our room and I am underwhelmed. We have a view of the parking lot and the trash dumpster. Here for a conference and offered to pay what ever daily upcharge for a nicer room. No luck...

Extremely nice Westin... rooms are nice and great grounds with 2 fire pits, very relaxing to bundle up with the ocean breeze during off season! Nice onsite fitness center also!!! Bell hop assistance during day time hours is mandatory, I have a packing system and my husband gets the luggage cart, we load and go to the car together as we check out - usually - so that was a little annoying to have to wait 10 min for the bell hop to be available to help us..... otherwise, a very nice and quiet stay! Lots of optional amenities such as room service, bottles of wine, and an in-hotel restaurant/steak house!

Updated environment on the beach. Well managed with caring staff.

A wonderful resort. The most comfortable beds. Beautiful. The only downside that I encountered was the parking. Would definitely stay here again.

Said I would have a view of the island. About a 4 inch view. Had to walk about 800 from parking. Felt like I was mislead and disappointed. It was our Anniversary! Wanted to have a great experience.

The Negatives:
Housekeeping did not preform to the expected standard of a 4 star hotel. The clothes of the previous guest were still left in the room. On our second night, we discovered that housekeeping did not empty our trash cans and made the bed up very poorly. It felt very rushed or someone untrained cleaned our room. When we reported it to the front desk, we told them we would leave it outside our door. Some form of housekeeping management came to our floor and had a conference outside our room door and argued about who's responsibility our room was. Although, I do appreciate the manager trying to resolve our problem on the spot. I think it should have been done more in private, making it less awkward for all parties involved.

The Positives:
Dinner:
The staff in The Reserve restaurant were very professional and friendly. The food here is very good (for resort food) and there is a pretty well rounded menu here (for a resort). Food quality is above typical resort standards.

Breakfast, The Reserve:
Was excellent and there are more choices than one will know what to do with here. Bring your appetite if you choose the buffet. Also, our waitress, was professional and courteous. We will keep her anonymous because she gave us a to go box for the food we could not finish at the buffet.. She was awesome!!

Pool Bar, beach, chair rentals:
Overall the pool bar and pool area is average. Service was fast and friendly. however, the menu was limited and I was disappointed for a resort of this caliber. However, there is enough there to satisfy your snacking needs. The chair rentals on the beach was easy and it is $30 per day. Take it or leave it on the price. The chairs are comfortable and you get a small table and large umbrella. Well above average in this area. The beach was very muddy when we visited. Not sure if it is like this all of the time. We could not access the water at low tide.

Overall:
Hotel is a good stay, you just need to watch the housekeeping.and low tide if you are a beach goer.

Dinner was excellent! We went there with a large group, and the service could not have been better. They gave very good recommendations for dinner, as well as for drinks.

Checked in on 12/31 and was not acknowledge as a bonvoy gold member as I usually am at other properties. Was not offered an upgraded room, and when I got to my room had a view of the top of the entrance area to the hotel. I get you didn t have any upgrades but a roof view for a gold? Little rough. The room was spacious, and the bed as usual was heavenly. But there were several issues here as well. Found gum stuck to the carpet in the room, is that sanitary? Had a dirty glass in the bathroom which resulted in me using the plastic cups. Have photos of both the gum and glass. Went to order room service around 9pm and the phone would not work. Tried for 10 minutes and ultimately called the front desk from my mobile. Not the level of cleanliness or service I expect from a Westin. Tried reaching out to Marriott and they said a manager would contact me within 24 hours, but I ve yet to hear anything. Ever since the merger Westin s have gone downhill. Marriott doesn t seem to care about loyalty or service either. I hope maybe now I ll hear from someone to resolve this issue after waiting 3 days for a manager. Do not recommend if you re expecting Westin service like it used to be.

Our room was very comfortable. The staff was genuinely hospitable. The grounds are simply lovely. The treadmills in the work out room face the ocean, which I thought was a nice touch. The beach access was perfect and in a terrific area of the island.

The hotel is beautiful and well kept. The staff is all very nice, helpful and always smiling. There are shops right outside and even a grocery store right there. Will be back again.

I have not been to this island in almost 25 years and a lot has changed it is very clean there's trash cans everywhere I did not see any trash out of sort how did find that it was little costly Park but you have to pay to get onto the island but once you got onto the island I think the parking was free I think but I'll tell you it was like six $6 to get onto the island and we were there for like six or seven hours so yeah okay I guess getting on the island wasn't that bad of a cost although we walk the beach the beach was very clean if you want to find seashells this is the beach to go to and if you want to find a lot of jellyfish this is the beach to go to all the other parts are very clean I actually seen several maintenance personnel cleaning the park as I was there I all in all I'm very like that very much and would love to go back soon oh and the 4-H center is down there as well

The hotel itself is fine but the amenities that are shown on the website were all closed. The only 2 amenities that were open only stayed open for a few hours. Since when does Starbucks shut down at noon or the pool bar close at 7:00 pm. None of the restaurants were open at all the entire stay. What kind of hotel on the beach has a pool with no hot tub? To top it off I got double billed for the room charges and can't even get management to call me back. Run from this place...one and done.

Very ordinary Cappuccino Coffee at the attached Starbucks. Very limited selection of real non-flavored coffee-based hot beverage. Needs to get a deep dive on making hot beverages involving coffee as the key ingredient. Only cash transaction so the Starbuckscard not accepted.

Brittany, she was one of the most genuine servers we have experienced in a long time. What a pleasant experience. Resort great but she made the experience really special!

Awesome experience at the Westin Jekyll Island! The hotel as well as the staff was very nice. We loved the bike riding amenity and the quick access to the beach. I also loved that the market/common square was literally right outside and everything was in walking distance.

Nice, clean property. The outdoor pool is a good size and not a strong chlorine smell. They did advertise that in 2019 there will be a renovated pool and hot tub so there will probably be construction over the fall or winter 2018. There is direct beach access. Next door, just steps from the hotel, is Beach Village with several gift shops and a few dining choices. The Jekyll Island Seafood Company is excellent.

Swanky hotel on Jekyll island. Good sized rooms with awesome bathrooms. Right on the beach and easy parking. Great access to the trail circumventing the island. Couple shops and restaurants near by. No hot tub though....

I understand that everyone is having a tough time because of covid 19 but this property does not seem remotely ready to be open for business. It is a nice property and the staff seems nice but not trained well and/or overwhelmed with new covid policies. Not worth the visit at this time.

The stay was nice! There was a wonderful view of the ocean and a boardwalk straight to the beach. There was also a lot of outdoor space and a Starbucks located inside the hotel. All the room utilities were nice, the beds had harder mattresses (I love hard mattresses), the shower was great and there was complementary waters. The hotel overall was really well kept and aesthetic. I also feel that it is important to add that my friend and I left our jackets in some outdoor seating area and ended up forgetting about them for a couple of hours. I went to pick them up once I remembered and was quickly directed to pick them up at the front desk. I felt as though my stuff was save and theft wouldn't be a worriful issue during my stay.

One of the best properties I have stayed at. Staff is friendly and takes special care of requests. Saved as a favorite destination stop!

We stayed in December for a perfect winter weekend getaway. This place is everything we wanted - a luxurious hotel, miles of undeveloped beaches, superb food, wilderness walks, one of my favorite bars and bartenders (George!) ever, lots of history, - a truly wonderful place. I couldn't be happier.

This a very nice resort with very friendly and helpful staff. Highly recommend The Westin @Jekyll Island. Beds are very comfortable room is clean and live the essential o they leave by your bed for a good night's sleep. Water is hot. The bar/restaurant in the hotel serves great food. A little pricey but it is a resort. They have a Starbucks on site and serves Starbucks coffee in the room.

The Westin at Jekyll Island was amazing! We were satisfied 100%.
