Room is clean and decent size. You get what you pay for and some. Waterpark is great for kids but not enough for teens. Also has a small arcade. Basketball wasn't maintained as it the ring was loose. Playground is a nice addition.
Fun place to take the kids for an afternoon . Or get a room for a night and do a spa & dinner pkg..... also Boston Pizza on site. Great Deals . Great Food! Also they play UFC for no cover or minimum ' s. Awesome deal.
Stayed overnight for a holiday weekend. Rooms were a nice size but the decor was a bit dated. There was free WiFi and tv and both worked great. There's a Boston Pizza attached that delivers to your room for a fee which is kinda cool. They also have a small "water park" attached but I didn't go so I can't comment on that. Our room was 2 queens but the way the electrical outlets we're positioned, the clock and lamp on the night stand couldn't be plugged in because the bed covered the outlet. I had to move the bed so I could charge my phone near the bed. Also they charged me quite a bit for parking which I didn't expect, it's not exactly close to Niagara falls so I was surprised they even charge it. Your almost better off bringing your stuff in and parking at the grocery store down the street for free.
Reasonable price for a waterpark hotel. Room was nothing fancy but was very clean. Microwave, fridge and sink were nice. Wish they included the price of overnight parking because who doesn't come here by car? Not an airport hotel. But even work the extra $20, the price was reasonable.
The room had an old chair in it all worn and black honestly it looked like got taken out if dump.why leave it in there? For the price you charged that crazy..first floor .and the check in brutal rude lady at front.check out good very nice gentleman.

This place has gone right down hill. Poor staffing attitudes and cleanliness was terrible from changeroom to snack bar to our rooms. Been there 4 to 6 times but seen the decline and this was our last outing there. The check in was the worst this time too as the receptionist was to busy chatting a guest that the one built as other employees completed check-ins while one still talking
I'm currently staying at the Americana for the weekend of February 21st, 2020 and we are staying in room 112! When we entered our room the smell of air freshener was beyond overwhelming and unbearable! I've had the sliding door open and the door to the room to air it out for over an hour and the smell is not discapating! I complained at the front desk and the manager (Diane) said it will eventually just go away! I was only given the option to move to another room, which wasn't ready and required me to remove all my luggage from the room and wait in the lobby for hours with several hockey teams! Terrible management and customer service! Wouldn't ever stay here again!!! DIANE NEEDS CUSTOMER SERVICE TRAINING!!!
Water park small but good enough for a few hours. Has small playground. Very close to Tim Hortons.
Close to all attractions and Casinos, but far enough away to avoid the noise and lights of Clifton Hill. Includes a decent water park with a wave pool, slides, hot pool and a toddlers pool. A nice arcade for the kids as well. Spacious rooms and discount coupons for the on site Boston Pizza and the breakfast buffet. Very pleasant and accommodating cleaning crew and front desk.
My older teenage children found that there was not alot to do which made them bored.
The rooms are nice and clean. The waterpark is perfect for the younger/smaller kids. Nothing is too over priced

Gr8 staff beds and Mattresses are horrible they definitely need to be replaced... managers need to understand the guests a bit more and be more friendly.
We stayed at the hotel and used the water park. Our room (111) was very close to the arcade and waves. At night there was a lot of noise due to the families going to the arcade. It was very noisy at times and hard to get the little ones to sleep. If you call the front desk they will take care of this issue. The room was very large with a separate bedroom for the children. It was not dirty but not terribly clean either.
We were there for a commencement ceremony Thorold Secondary. Beautiful location. A little cramped because so many people were there. Great place.
I go this hotel every year for a retreat and I LOVE the food. The water park is totally awesome. But the customer service is hit and miss. Sometimes they have issues that does not get dealt with probably but it's a good hotel overall.
I personally am about to start working there. As my daughter already is at the from desk(angel-marie). Overall a great place ... We stayed there when my daughter was little and no issues. Certainly would go back. My daughter loves working there. Lots of friendly co workers.

I've been to this place 6 years ago in March with my brother, 3 uncles and 1 aunt we went to the arcade to play games and have fun at the water park it was so much fun.

We went to visit family that was staying here from out of town, they had a blast in the waterpark and the room was big and clean. Only downside was all the kids had skin irritations from the amount of chlorine in the pools.
The hotel tired to charge us 300+ dollars when we could have gotten the water park tickets online for 54$, staff was rude and understaffed
We were just there for a dance competition so didn't use many amenities. Washrooms were nice and well maintained.
The water park hours is not ideal. It is opened from 10am to 9pm. Which means, you can't really use much of the facility before check out which is at 11am. Also since this is a water park, family oriented hotel. You can't request a playpen ahead of time. It is first come first serve. They only have 20 in total. So it is risky to come all the way without knowing there is a playpen for your baby to sleep. The hotel should be more accommodating.

My family just spent a night here, along with my sister and her family. To start, I cannot say enough positive things about the front staff. I had made a mistake with my booking, and without even asking, they figured out what they could do to help, fixed the problem for me, and weren't the least bit rude or condescending about it, even though I was holding up the line. The rooms were much larger than I had anticipated; we fit 8 very comfortably in one room to have pizza which we had delivered to our room from the attached Boston Pizza. The water park, while smaller than other indoor water parks we've visited, amused our 12 year olds, and the compact size made it very easy to keep watch on everyone. Overall, an enjoyable experience made better by the lovely staff who set the tone for the whole visit--many thanks!
I arrive at the hotel at 2, and my room was not ready, so I went to the waterpark in the meantime. The waterpark was tiny but my toddler was entertained. My room was still not ready by 4pm. Everything else was fine, nothing exceptional.
Decent hotel, good location. Friendly staff. Stayed for a wedding - not impressed that the bridesmaid room was far away from the bride despite a block booking and 3 months notice. WiFi in rooms is extremely weak - barely got a connection in the bridal suite. Outlets in the room are not conveniently located (should be by bedside).
It's no great wolf Lodge, but also its way cheaper.
There is a decent arcade (think Chuck e cheese) where you use tokens to win tickets to buy useless junk. The kids love it!
The pool consists of:
-2 large(ish) body slides (42" minimum height)
-2 larger tube slides (48" minimum to ride solo, I think there was no minimum to ride doubles with an adult)
-1 wave pool (stay close to little kids, it can get pretty aggressive)
-1 playground area with a dumping bucket water guns and some smaller body slides.
-1 infant/toddler area with 1 small water slide and water swings.
All in all it was lots of fun, my kids had a great time!
My only complaint is that food is not allowed in, and the food available for purchase is fairly expensive.
The rooms were extremely spacious and the staff was very friendly and accommodating. The Waterpark is designed around kids and was perfect for our toddler. If you want the spa though you should probably book a couple of days in advance. Overall, very good!
Not terribly impressed, especially after flipping over on my back and being in pain since. Tread carefully on their stairs leading up to the slides!! Being a waterpark, they really need to have some sort of a slip resistant or textured surface!

The resort wasn't bad but for the cost of what you get, not worth it. The $20/ day parking is steep as well for how much you pay to stay here. The water park is tiny and not worth it for kids over 7. Pretty disappointed in the place.
This was such a blessing for me to take the kids. They enjoyed it and never wanted to leave. The food is great. The rooms are spacious and the staff was warm and friendly.
Pictures online tricked me and I thought I was booking at Skyview water park, when I went and realized it wasn't I checked it out anyways and cancelled. maybe super good for kids but not adults

Nice waterpark, but the music is SO loud in there you can barely hear each other. Had to ask staff to turn it down. Staff in waterpark are not so uptight as other places....very relaxing.
Not happy with the place, too expensive for me. The price was 249 dollars online then they added another 20 dollars for parking at arrival without informing me. Then there was fees for breakfast although it says it was included with the room. Too much for too little.

Nasty pool and washrooms. This is a lower grade waterpark, it's a motel with an extended indoor pool and some slides.
In one day we saw someone vomit in the pool, a kid poop in the water, and a girl wash out her nose bleed. The change rooms are outside the washroom area, the washrooms floors are covered in pee soaked mats.
The slides are pretty fun and would probably be their greatest feature. The waterpark is included in most room fees, waterpark only is $34pp.

We booked 2 rooms with 2 beds each as there were 7 of us cost us nearly a grand cause of August long weekend.
nonetheless for the price we paid we got rooms with damp carpet smell and bulbs flickering. We still kept our moods alight cause of 3 young kids who just wanted to hit the water park (whole purpose of our visit) so we kept our bags and hit the water park, made our way through the arcade which is literally a joke btw and turns out its probably the smallest water park have seen. And spent 20 mins just waiting for a table to be empty so we could put our towels.
But to be honest at the water park i saw people having lot of fun and our kid enjoyed it to. therefore 1 star.
Time to hit the bed. We lifted a comforter a bug flew of underneath too late and tierd to change room we just laid in them to be bitten by bed bugs all night. For 11 am check out we packed our bags at 7 am went to timmys with family and checkd out 9:30am. Its been 24 hours since we left still feel something is crawling on my skin.
I dont believe the fact that management is not aware of the situation and howcome they have clearance to operate with unhygienic conditions. And i dare them to deny my claims of bed bugs.
There are kids and families coming and staying here.

Horrible. Stayed from August 15 till August 18th. Our room had no balcony or dining table. Kids had breakfast on the bed. Once kids spilled cereal on the carpet and it was not cleaned up by the stuff. Cleaning service is the worst ever. They barely make up beds and leave dirty towels and plastic dirty dishes just where they were. Garbage can is so small that it barely fits few water bottles. All you can eat breakfast is the worst with 5 choices for high price and now one to make anything special for you. Pool had so much chlorine that my child had tears for 2 hours non stop. Never have I stayed in such a garbage hotel. And they charge $15 a day for parking your car. Really? And towels and pillows. O my God. Bring your own please.
Beautiful place for a conference, event or wedding. The staff are very accommodating and it's very convenient to have the hotel adjoining.
Americana was a great experience. The waterpark was fun for our 2.5 year old and us. We started in the wave pool, our LO got scared, but moved from the baby pool and worked our way back to the wave pool also on the play structure fun. They had a variety of pools/activities for our son to progress with which level he was comfortable with. I can see us going back and we can enjoy the hot tub, slides and more.
I did read a bunch of reviews on the bad service and it was a concern, but felt the team there was making a true effort to change that - U Matter . the staff were very friendly and helpful. Maybe this was a issue before, but I am glad to see they took those complaints serious and fixed it.
The rooms were spacious and very clean. Dont expect a Hilton or Hyatt, they are more a Holiday Inn style. I liked that our room connected to the other friends we went with, I would ask for this again. We did call a day in advance for this.
A few more notes on what I would have liked to know - Parking was crazy busy mid day. They have a Freshco and lots of food places close by.

Hotel is clean and well kept. A bit small for older kids but overall a good value for your money. It is within walking distance to restaurants and right next to a Freshco that sells beer and wine. The service from the staff was also good.
Had a pedicure loved it friendly staff and good atmosphere, relaxing.
My 4 year old and I had a blast! It was the perfect size and scale for a spectacular evening adventure. The bigger kids had their space, the toddlers had theirs and my little JK guy tested out everything. It was well organized clean and safe. The staff and other patrons were VERY polite. Will definitely go back and may even stay at their hotel for the full experience.
Great place for kids, it wasn't crazy busy on a Thursday. And Boston Pizza in the hotel is priced just the way any Boston Pizza is. Not to mention the grocery store beside the hotel, great for getting snacks. Only negative I found is the beds are a little harder then I prefer.
Very fun day for a reasonable price! We bought the 4 person pass which costs $120 including tax. We had 4 adults, a toddler, and 7 and 13 year old. We stayed for 7 hours! We bought pizza lunch at the cafe which was a bit more expensive than a regular pizza place ($29 for a large pizza) but the pizza was great! It was made in a pizza oven and had a generous amount of cheese and toppings.
It was a great experience. The hotel is very spread out and waking can be tedious to those who have difficulty but it's not very bad at all if one is in decent shape. The resort is close to multiple eating locations as well as the Niagara falls which are very close.
We booked a family suite and were very disappointed to find that the furniture was old and tired, the carpet had rips in it and the balcony doors were broken and had wind blowing through them. The hotel sent a maintenance person to duct tape the balcony doors so the wind did not blow through.
The waterpark is a good size for smaller children and has enough to do for kids 12 and under.
It is nice that everything you need is in the hotel.
If the staff had cared at all about our room not being ready at 4pm or holes in the screen doors it would have been a much more enjoyable stay.

Good value for the price 4 full sized waterslides a giant splash area toddler waiting pool and wave pool the snack bar staff was completely clueless and the quality of food was not good felt that paying a dollar for a side of mayonnaise for my burger was pretty ridiculous but kids had fun and the facility was nice
Decent indoor waterpark. Rooms are nothing special. Boston Pizza on site. You literally don't have to leave the building from checkin to checkout.
