First and foremost, my father and I are very loyal Acura people. After graduating college, I needed a new vehicle, and found my ideal car, a 2009 TSX with a 6sp transmission for a very competitive price at Superior; in hindsight I should've worked with Columbia to get the car there instead of dealing with these folks. I was pressured numerous times to finance through them/Acura after stating I was uninterested and going through a referred credit union. The car was in pretty good condition, with the exception of a cracked fog lens, a windshield chip (I didn't notice until weeks after), and some slight damage to the front bumper on the driver's side from where the prior owner had run into her garage (!). Getting those fixed was a bit like pulling teeth, but they were completed. When I came back in after telling them I was going to buy, they appeared as though there was no rush, no urgency in completing the sale, and were completely unprepared when I did return, with a check in hand. All of this occurred in January 2012.
Fast forward to a few weeks ago, I go in to their service department to get some oil topped off as I now work in Fairfield. The service guy said we don't do that, but you can buy a quart or two and one of our guys can do it, or buy an oil change. I told them, Columbia offers a top off and car wash for free in between oil changes, and they said well we don't do that here. I was then offered to set up an appointment for a change, it was close enough, and agreed to the following day during my lunch break. While admittedly I did not want to go in, I would have had I received a reminder phone call (standard operating procedure in my book) but did not, which is what I assumed would happen considering their history of shoddy service. I will not ever recommend Superior for sales or service, I honestly wonder how Acura allows them to stay in business. The disparity in service and comfort level between Superior Acura and Columbia Acura is unbelievable, I will continue to go out of my way to go to Columbia, and will continue to actively denounce Superior as anything but a terrible service provider.
