I purchased a 2012 versa for my mom with approx. 64,000 miles on it. I was told there were no engine issues as per there inspection. I noticed a small ticking and was told it was normal for that engine as it is a 4 cylinder. This was in oct. 2016 in April the engine sounded terrible. This is after she put appox. 800 miles on the car. City driving mainly. I took the car bar to them and told them that another large dealer said it had " Piston Slap". They look at the engine for a day and assured me this was not the case. Guess what it is...8000.00 to replace the engine. They are of no help. Denying everything. I know it's a used car but 800 miles later the engine is shot???? Really? In there defense they offed a protion plan for 3,00.00 and told me I did not need it as this car was solid. RIGHT. Just an FYI BECAREFUL WITH THESE PEOPLE.
