Standard super 8, nothing stands out. Good place to rest of you get a comfortable bed. Breakfast is great, rates somewhat expensive for the overall quality.

Great place to stay. Night auditor was amazing at her job
Came here with my son and grandchildren to go SWIMMING and the pool was out of order and no one told me when I made reservations. Also another family came here to have a swimming birthday party. They also weren't told. Unhappy children. We had to go to another motel and PAY to swim. Not happy. They should refund some money. Checking on it.
Sink: broken
Toilet: broken
Shower: moldy
Heater: loud
On the brightside, I haven't found any bed bugs yet.
Rooms a little old. Breakfast is normal continental. Cereal, waffles, fruit.
The service is kind enough. The wifi is spotty and switches between two different routers. The bathroom really needs cleaned because the walls are stained black and red. The room is clean and nicely arranged with all the necessities. Theres isnt much room for a crib but it is doable. The AC in our room does not work, it acts as a fan but we weren't staying long enough for that to be a concern. Overall it was decent.
It's apparently one of the first Super 8... And you can tell.
Old hotel. A few updates, but needs many more. Mold in bathroom. Just outdated...
I would give 0 stars if that was an option, falsely accused of smoking in a room. Was charged an additional $260. Will sleep in my car before i ever spend another dime with this company
Also it s so irritating to sign in to the wifi at least 15 times a day!
Great price. Wasn't anything special but was clean and comfortable. Had a bigger breakfast selection than I expected! Also allows dogs and the staff was friendly. Would stay again
The room was noce for the cost. The staff was nice and helpful. Breakfast was good. Also pet friendly.
Worst hotel experience I've had. Barking dog, smoking room, dirty and lack of staff. Ended up canceling room after checking in. Would give it 0 stars, but that's not an option.
Parking is horrible. No luggage cart. Walls are thin. Breakfast is pathetic. Tub doesn't drain properly so you're standing in water while taking a shower. Towels are toddler size. A/C rattles. If you do your laundry here, the dryer on the right doesn't dry your clothes in one run. Ice machine sounds like it's on its last leg. Way overpriced.
The room was clean the beds were big the location was great
Very comfortable beds and clean rooms. Good free breakfast. The noise from the second floor is the reason for 4 instead of 5 stars. I could hear people moving around fairly loudly.
Liked it very professional and courtesy staff even during the Covid 19 still got a contential breakfast only in a bag will definitely be back again
Nothing too special, but great price and a friendly staff. Also allows dogs. Would gladly stay again.
Rooms are as clean as you'd expect for this level of hotel. Staff is friendly and willing to help. Breakfast is the standard waffle/cold cereal fare. As advertised in every way.
About what I expected from a Super 8. Older property, showing some wear. Good enough if you're looking for bargain pricing.
Rooms were very nice and clean. The breakfast was ready early everyday and the people who worked there were on top of everything. Loved it.
Nice except bathtub had a serious ring around the tub.
TERRIBLE service! The lobby smelled overpowering of cigarettes. The room was filthy and smelled strongly like pee. I didn't touch the bed, but slept in the chair, which was pretty uncomfortable. Very noisy. Ran the shower for an hour and never got warm water.
The owner should be absolutely embarrassed. We are on a road trip and expected a budget hotel, this place is awful. The bathroom had not been cleaned on arrival and hotel staff are unequiped to handle simple guest requests. It is clear that management or owners are clearly not interested in guest comfort. Very disappointed.
The rooms were very clean and the amenities were wonderful. Ve nory good value. I'll be back.
Breakfast was okay. Nothing fancy. Room is a little old. Bathtub looked dirty, but that might just be because it is ok.
Super nice staff here. Rooms are little outdated and they almost double their rates during pheasant season. Book way in advance during the fall and don't trust outside discount sites as they always overbook.
Good place to stop on a budget. Our room was o.k. sized. Beds were comfortable but BYO pillow. Inroom heater didnt work the greatest. No pool! Moderate but nice free breakfast. We paid about 80 bucks with a deal online from Hot Wire -& I wouldn't pay anymore than that.
Stains on the sheets, gap between wall heater and wall letting cold air into the room when the temperature outside is -4. Bathroom smelled of marijuana. Shower head was broke so unable to shower. Told the front desk about these things and she said we will get that fixed right away. She did not even apologize to my wife and I.
It was a great experience with rather friendly staff
Hate that they just went non smoking! Home away from home... great breakfast
The room was not very clean and I don't think the sheets were changed. We got into the room late, so didn't check things out, but when I woke up, I looked over to see several long black strands of hair on the sheet! The sheets looked dirty! Gross! We have returned to Aberdeen, three to four times a year, for the last 14 years and have always stayed at this Super 8, but we've noticed a real decline in the upkeep of the rooms! We will not stay there again!
Room could be cleaner (ie dust shelf and picture behind bed and vacuum behind furniture). Food server should wear gloves and not touch garbage can and then put out donuts. Staff was very nice. Location is good.
Great for price. Free wifi, normal breakfast, moder. Vending machines.
The front desk guy and the "manager" are both extremely rude!!! I called to make a reservation with a company credit card and got "accidentally" hung up on twice. Then the guy puts the phone down to ask his manager a question about sending a credit card authorization form...thinks he hangs up on me again and I hear him and the "manager" laughing about it. We work with the VA and book with most Super 8's on a regular basis, but I canceled my reservation at this location and I will NEVER book with this hotel again!!!! VERY disappointed with their customer service. The only reason why I gave a star on this is because I had to add at least one to be able to post, but they don't deserve even one in my opinion.
Affordable place to stay. Nothing fancy. But clean. Staff is helpful.
So sad ..ask for a curling iron and the person brought me an ironing board..everything went wrong it was a disaster..talk to manager and after lots of phone calls he made it right..just disappointed had to go through all the stress because we wanted to pay cash.
Good place to get a good night's sleep, tap beer is also available through the front desk.
This hotel was the cheapest option available and you get what you pay for. Seems like there's always construction going on in some part of the building since its so old. Breakfast consists of your continental typical - waffles, cereal, or donuts. It's definitely not one to write home about, but if you're looking for something cheap, this hotel has that option covered.
Not a good experience. A lot of shouting from the hall and people yelling about shooting each other. Was not impressed
We like this Super 8! We were sorry to find out the pool was gone. This is one of the reasons we always stayed here. Friendly, clean and courteous. A good breakfast too.
Ok overall just a very sketchy place right away. Strong stench of smoke in the hotel, and my room smelt like urine. I looked on the wall because they had stain on them to find out we had blood on our walls! We decide to just sit and talk on the bed to and we find old toenail clippings and bloody scabs and crumbs. My friends room had pee stains on the bed sheets. We also had mold in our showers and weird stains in the floor. DO NOT STAY HERE!!
They are kind, wheelchair friendly breakfast and the price is. Very fair. People have written negative reviews and yet I will only stay here and enjoy Aberdeen and surrounding communities, I give them easily 10 stars if only I could,
Yes the pool, hot tub, fitness room are permanently closed...found out upon check-in. Yes the place is outdated but the staff was friendly, allowed me to check in several hours early as I had just driven through the night. The room is clean and more than able to serve it's purpose of a comfortable, cliate controlled place to sleep for a few days. I spent for 2 nights what I would have spent for 1 anywhere else. No complaints here.
Didn't know you had to talk about safe usage when u check IN. Have been charged many times over the years.Rooms are kind of plain.
Hotel is very old, furniture is old also in room, in bathroom old tub, looks dirty, bad smell, mattress looks new, no elevator, you have to carry your luggage up seven steps of stairs, no good if you have a bad back. AC unit in wall, very loud, small fridge don't keep food/drinks cold, no iron or ironing board in room. Don't look safe either for a female by themselves. Not safe for kids.
Nothing fancy, but pet friendly and generally clean.
My Girlfriend works for a Piloting business and we were based in Aberdeen for a week or two. We stayed at Super 8 anytime we were in town. Very nice rooms. Very updated. Great backlot for grilling and great party room for a party.
I'd like to think this is a fluke incident - and I don't think I'm wrong in being upset with this hotel - but this hotel's operation blows my mind.
This place was recommended to me by the South Dakota Film Festival - as a place offering discounts to people attending the fest. On the first morning there - I was jarred awake by seriously loud construction above me and outside my door at 8am.
As I was attending the festival - I'd gone to bed late and was going to sleep late. Unfortunately that wasn't an option. When I asked the front desk for a different room - they were relatively helpless - and said they couldn't move me until that afternoon. Which didn't help me.
The construction consisted of ripping out all the flooring and replacing it. So it was loud and it lasted all day. When I asked for the manager - I was told they didn't know when she was going to be in the office - but I was given a phone number.
When I returned to Minneapolis and called the number I was given, the manager Tammy took my phone number saying she'd look into it and that "the construction has been hard on everyone..." and then never called me back.
I just wanted my first night's money back - as for some reason they rented the room right underneath the construction - and I wasn't able to sleep while I was in the room I had rented.
When calling the hotel back to speak to Tammy again - nobody knows when she'll be back.
YIKES. I hope to never stay at a Super 8 for fear of this level of terrible hospitality, ignorance, no accountability and excuses.
Pool is out of service, but they fail to inform you of this until you are checking in. Kids disappointed and bored and no discount for room! :(
My "non-smoking" room was situated above a smoking room. It was like sleeping in a bar. Never again.
super dirty, toilet didn't work and shower barely worked. There was BED BUGS in our beds and i was really disgusted by everything.
It's okay, WiFi is a little slow, needs more routers throughout the hotel
They permanently closed the pool/hot tub and fitness room without any warning except a note on the front desk. Their WiFi sucks, spent three days here for work with nothing to do. There was a nasty old booger on my shower curtain. Something nasty looking on the floor. My tv stopped working. Just absolutely unenthused.
UPDATE: I stay here frequently because my workplace puts me up here. I will be asking my boss to find another place to have us stay. Their water smells like it came straight out of a lake now. I ve been staying here for two years and I ve only seen it go downhill. 10/10 would not recommend.
Very sub-par hotel. Warped floors fading TV, paper-thin doors. This hotel needs some TLC.
please please please, heed my warning and DO NOT STAY HERE. Once I entered the building, a strong stench of stale smoke, mould, alcohol, urine. It was revolting. There were no elevators, the carpeting was so old it looked like the original carpeting from when it was built, bandit was squishy when you stepped on it. There were depressions in the carpeting that felt due to rotting wood underneath on the stairs and floor, and it felt like I was going to fall through. Me and my group booked 2 non smoking rooms. They were on opposite sides of the building and one of them smelled so bad we had to complain to the front desk. Upon entering the second room, there was a half eaten candy bar on the windowsill and both room's carpets were damp, so we never took our shoes off. My other group member in room 2 felt scared for her life as there was screaming coming from the hall and babies crying uncontrollably. We were in a non smoking room, but I still felt hard of breath when I slept overnight. Overall, we were extremely unhappy with our stay and if I could give this place zero stars, I would.
Well appointed economy lodging
Smoking rooms
The front desk person was nice and friendly, called about checking in late and they were understanding and nice about it. The rooms were nice and clean and it was around a lot of stores so if I forgot anything (which of course I did) I could just go down the street not having to stress about going across town. I would definitely stay here again.
It's a Super 8 it is what it is but it is above most other Super 8
They shut the pool down but still a nice place to stay
Yes it's an older hotel so yes it could use some cosmetic touches and furniture updates. It's a Super 8, not a JW Marriott so I have nothing bad to say. If you just need a basic room with a hot shower, I would recomend this place. If you're looking for chocolates on the pillows, I suggest you stop at the gas station and pick up a candy bar.
