Super 8 Hotel Review

Awesome customer service. Got a room discount and a free pitcher of beer simply because we were hunters. All of our crew will hear great things.

Terrible!!! We did not get the king room we reserved and paid for, they finally gave us a room with 2 queen beds but one bed is broken and tops when you get in, the toilet has to be flushed twice most times to get the paper down. Last night we got back to find no maids had been to our room, their excuse was must have been an oversight, tonite we get back and only clean towels , our beds had not been made for now 2 days. Called down and were told if you have anything personal on the bed (we each had a pillow) they couldn't touch them. What disgusting customer service. Not an I'm sorry or what can we do to help just attitude. This is an older place but very convenient for us, however we will never stay at any Super 8 ever again if this is the way they train their employees.

It a ok place to stay its a motel. It does always smell of cigarette smoke .And I dislike that.They don't have there pool anymore disapointed about that .

We were traveling thru and I was sick so we stopped at the first place we saw. We wished we had taken the time to read the reviews.They took our dog so that was a plus. The lobby did smell like stale cigarette. Our room was no better. The bathroom wasn't the cleanest. I actually had a cleaning spray in my car and cleaned the tub and toilet before we used it. My husband took a shower that night and the water was hot. I went to take a shower in the early morning and it never got warm. ( it was 430am so not from over use). The bed linens were clean ( thank goodness). The outlet in the bedroom was overloaded with microwave, tv, coffee pot, alarm clock and fridge. We actually were nervous about all the appliances plugged in that we unplugged a few things before sleep and made sure we had an escape ( drop from window) if another room started an electric fire. (It was that bad looking). The front staff was pleasant and polite. Cost around $100 which I think I could have gotten a better place for that price had we taken the time. Lesson to us..read the reviews! Many of the reviews stated the same complaints..

Very nice open area for the birthday party and pool area is also great

When I checked in there was a clerk who was such a jerk. He was slamming the things down in the office while checking me in. He looked so mad for no reason. Customer service was terrible. Other than that had an ok stay.

Me and my family have stayed here several times very nice Motel great swimming pool

Worst hotel I have stayed at in a long time. Pool and hot tub broken. Room was totally gross. It was dirty all over. Even found some guys briefs just under the edge of the bed. I would suggest anywhere else cheap or not it was dirty

I will never stay at this place as I had a relative that stayed there and the room was only half assedly cleaned. It appears that the general manager must not take pride in his buainess. If the general manager doesn't take pride then how does the hotel expect their housekeeping dept to take pride to make the guests feel comfortable and want to stay there again. Maybe if they get rid of the lazy general manager the place might get better review.

Shower head held up by zip ties bed didnt get made not worth 72 bucks a night

Easily accessible location near a bar, brew/wings restaurant and several fast food restaurants. Internet was rather poor. I couldn't stream a YouTube video at 480p consistently once everyone retired to their rooms for the night. Also, the bathroom needed some work. Loose door handle and shower handle. Other than that, it was a very pleasant stay. The breakfast was a basic one, offering cereal, juice, waffles, yogurt, fruit and donuts. Oh, can't forget about the free pitchers of beer offered Mon-Thurs, 5pm-7pm! I'm pleased with the quality of the stay and how much I paid for the room. Recommended if you're looking for a cheap option.

Dirty rooms, lights not working. Wrong rooms not what was requested...

No extra power outlets, very dated and small rooms.

Toilet bowl disgusting, plus didn't flush very well. Carpet lifted up, light switches not in working order. Could have had a little more to offer. We wanted inexpensive, got cheap. Parking at a premium.

I was paying cash for a $90 room. They needed a $100 deposit paid by a card. Not extra cash or anything, she said she had seen customers go to Walmart and buy a card, and put the $100 on there and do it like that. I went a few blocks down to the Quality Inn, saved $15 by asking about specials and it was business as usual as a cash customer. The receptionist was very nice and accommodating at the super 8 east tho. She even asked her manager if there was anything that could be done.

Made a reservation. Walked into lobby it and was overwhelmed by smell of cigarettes smoke. Decided not to stay over.

Only had 1 light that worked besides my bathroom,,,bumped my head bending over,called to see if they had laundry in the hotel ,, the phone didn't work,went to do laundry put my clothes in and soap the Damn machine didn't work ,walked all the way back ,,,to be continued,,,,microwave don't work,,, and the sana don't work

The shower does not drain. The tub has old caulk full of I'm sure mold and it smells terrible in the room. This would be the last place I'd stay!!

Nice place to stay. Rooms need to be cleaner. Also less people behind the front desk. Becoming a social gathering spot for employees.

We stayed at this hotel the night of August 10, 2018. The room was not bad, except for there was no soap to take a shower. When we asked about it, the management said that they were out and the shipment would not be in until the next Tuesday. I asked if he could go to the Dollar store or grocery store and get soap and he said no. I asked if he could call the owner and he said no. He said we could use the shampoo or conditioner in our room or he could give us Dawn dish soap. Seriously? Thankfully, one of our party had a bar of soap and divided it up among all of us. Forgot to mention that the Manager said he was going to give each room (5) a $10.00 credit to each of our bill's because there was no soap. He never did. What a let down. The gal behind the desk the next morning took my number and said that she would call me, but she never did. Guess you can't trust anyone anymore to do the right thing.

Great staff upon check in (2 younger males). Rooms are old but fairly clean. They also have beer available at the front desk and smoking rooms.

Spent six dollars trying to dry clothes and still wet I complained and they did nothing this place is a dump I wouldn't recommend it

Bathroom toilet was plugged before I Evan used it went to front desk told person 1 hr later still no one came to unplug it .

It's an older hotel, but staff is nice and its clean.

Ask for a two night discount she said we dont do that but as one of the guest walk by said they gave us a two night discoubt i said why cant i get one she said cause you have two 00000000 only one person. I was confused i ask excuse me. She kicked me out said i was causeing problems.

This is the oldest Super 8 in the country. Sad to say it looks like it too. Very run down and in need of repair. The motel seems to have been added onto to make more room. Unfortunately it is not on the same level. There were stairs connecting the different sections of rooms. Not very ADA friendly, but I suppose there are rooms on the parking lot level. But it would be hard to visit other rooms. The staff seemed unorganized, they had mixed up our reservations, lost information we sent them. Were not able to lock or unlock rooms for us. Some ice machines did not work. We will not stay here again. Keep looking for a different motel.

Rooms were clean. Seems like it was updated. I never did really like super 8 breakfast though but it's a reasonable place.

We recently stayed at this Super 8 hotel after a period of time. We were happy to find out that some of their rooms had been remodeled. Staff was very friendly and helpful. If the bathtub had not been in need of unclogging, we would have given it 5 stars.

Excellent service! Rooms are clean with fresh linens. Very friendly and courteous staff. Pricing per night is right on target.

Rooms are good size, but musky smell. Shower is hot and drains but go to move shower head and comes apart. Room is either hot or super cold as old air conditioning unit and is super loud and makes cranking noises while on, making hard to sleep at night. Breakfast is included but dont expect much besides 2 kinds of cereal, toast, and waffles.

The rooms are standard but the service wasn't the best. My mother who is visiting just wanted an iron in her room so that she could iron her family's clothes and was told on the phone that they would have one and that most of the rooms came standard with it. When they arrived yesterday there was no iron in their room and when they asked about an iron they were told that there were no irons in the entire hotel??? I don't really understand why they would have zero irons in a building that big but okay. I was also told this morning that the breakfast kind of sucks.

Rooms claimed to be renovated but that only consisted of new sheets, a not so good job of a new paint color on the walls, and a new TV. The place smelled like smoke when you walked in and rooms were grungy feeling. I guess you get what you pay for. Breakfast was decent, but whole atmosphere was dirty feeling, including employees.

They failed to tell us when we booked the Hotel that the pool was under renovations. I had some very upset kids. The halls and lobby were filthy. I put a do not disturb sign on the doorknob so that housekeeping would not come in and they still did. Very disappointed with our stay and will never stay there again or refer anyone to stay there. Unfortunately it will not let me post without giving a star, but they are not deserving of this star

Will never go to this place again. Black mold around the bathtub. Told the manager and only made excuses.

The poolis closed forever but staff is more less friendly bathrooms were dirty mainly the floor and there is a light swich that turns off the electricity

This was the worst place we have ever stayed at. Upon check-in there were several men hanging out at the front desk (Happy Hour) drinking beer out of pitchers and wreaking of cigarettes. The room we were given was filthy... it seemed the shower hadn't been cleaned in a very long time. We tried to move to another room. The clerk sent me to five different rooms.... None of them were clean and they had noone on housekeeping to help. We tried other hotels in town but they were all full unless we wanted to pay $170 per night. When I asked the clerk of she had any suggestions she said yes, check out. Throughout our stay (2 nights). The lobby was always full of angry and frustrated customers. Many dirty rooms, lights not working, bloody sheets, dirty comforters, filthy walls and several air conditioners not working. One lady tried to transfer to another Super 8 in the same city.... They were going to charge her for two rooms instead of one. Do not stay at this place. You will be very disappointed!!

You get what you pay for. As soon as you walk into the lobby it s smoky from cigarettes. It smells like smoke in the halls. It s very outdated. The ladies that work here are nice. I chose to stay here because I was on a budget, but it would not be somewhere I would stay if I had a choice.

Room was horrible! Recliner and carpet were very dirty. Room was not ready until three hours after supposed check-in time. The Hallways were cluttered with supplies-so much so that I almost fell over a laundry basket placed in front of my door. Facility smelled like smoke. I left and found other accommodations. I was supposed to stay four nights while I attended a class at NSU. This location used to be great but now it has deteriorated immensely-very disappointing.

Need to make sure when asked for wake up call that the customer gets it and also when a customer requests a room to be told that there is either a deposit or credit card information that will be needed for their stay

First Super 8 ever, always clean and super nice people. Pool is never open.

About what I expected from a Super 8 experience. Rooms were decent and cheap. The pool and other aspects could go for a good updating

PM front desk lady was great! AM front desk lady was... distracted. The beds were very comfortable. Older rooms, but clean enough. Would have given 4 stars if not for the AM front desk experience.

I still would stay at a Super 8 on any given day .The people are friendly and they are pet friendly too

At first was very hesitant to stay because of the reviews. But, the rooms were clean, the staff was friendly. And it was an enjoyable expierence. Not any room at breakfast, along with guests grabbing with their hands germing it all. And the Internet sucked.

Had an issue with a room, management stepped up and got me moved into different room. The few staff I met were very professional.

Rooms are very small but that was expected but being able to bring the dogs in was nice. The bird cleaning station was nice. I was looking at past reviews and 2 months ago they said the pool was closed and it still is so I am guessing they will not fix that. If you are looking to stay here only stay if you want a smoking room or you will bring dogs in other wise it is not worth it at all.

Ac unit had a bad smell. the floors had soft spots in the halls and the rooms . They tried to update by painting. The bath tubs were stained. The Ethernet box was hanging out of the wall

Not a bad stay. Was here for two days. Room was dated a bit, less than average air conditioning, but was clean and comfortable. I had to drop to 3 stars because I travel for work, the WiFi was terrible & lost connection a lot. The pool was shut down... apparently for a while, but not a huge deal.

Great staff, house keepers are very good. Building is kind of old though. Had a slight ant problem in the bathroom. Overall worth the price. Good location as well

Been stopping here for the last 8 years and just found out that the pool is down, I can live with that, but no breakfast anymore, non of the lamps work, so why on Earth am I paying a $100 for one night???? Guess next year when we return we will be finding another hotel to stay at. That's a shame!!!!!

Out dated, but very clean! Also allows dogs! They're currently doing brown bag breakfast. They offer a spot for dogs to go pee and have poop bags outside and trash cans.
