The location is nice, lack of elevators makes it hard to transverse for someone with a disability. The people in the front ticket office were helpful but the one in the lobby that was like the gate keeper was kind of stuck up. The lobby isn't that big so when they open the lobby before they open the house they pack people into this small space that is kind of like sardines in a can. For a newer renovation it's not so handicap accessible unless your willing to pay extra to get a seat in the lower level.

A friend and I attended the performance of "Dancing Lessons" at the Barrington Stage last night and had a wonderful time. The performance of Paige Davis as Senga was mesmerizing and the part of Ever played by John Cariani was unbelievably spot on. It was a marvelously thought provoking and uproariously funny performance by 2 actors who have honed their chops and have done a fantastic job. Kudos to all !! P.S. Thank you Ms. Davis.

Barrington Stage is about to turn 25 - - Congratulations! Julianne Boyd began her vision in a high school auditorium and grew it into a highly-regarded, award-winning company with permanent spaces in downtown Pittsfield, MA. Not only do they put on high-caliber performances, they provide programs for youth and are deeply committed to helping revitalize the community.

Claudius and Gertrude was not my favorite play. The second half was too long.
Some of the Shakespeare
soloques should have been cut. We love BSC and try to never any plays but this was
a looser. The people around
us was saying the same.

Excellent production of "Into the Woods" Acoustics were spot on. Really loved the space. The best of the least expensive seats were excellent...the theatre does not appear to have a bad seat anywhere.

Saw West Side Story tonight at the Barrington Main Stage and it was amazing! Loved the beautiful theater and the awesome performance. Saw original production in Manhattan many years ago. Who needs Manhattan when we have The Barrington Stage Company in Pittsfield!

We saw an excellent production of "Into the Woods" here yesterday. Mykal Kilgore did a fabulous job as the Witch, and the rest of the characters were great, also. The whole production was top-notch.

Cute little theater. Seats are comfortable, spacious, and clean. Bathrooms were clean. Snack bar has a few selections of candy, water, and sodas. Staff were friendly. Stage was not very large, but decent for the area. Parking is available around pittsfield, does not have it's own parking area.

Most productions are first rate! "Fall Springs" unfortunately, doesn't measure up. Taking Ibsen's "Enemy of the People" and turning it into a 21st century musical doesn't quite work. The actors are on target but the story doesn't update well. It could have, for many profit is more important than public health and safety, but this musical falls short of the mark.

We have seen many shows of varying variety. Tonight we saw Stephen Sondheim's Into The Woods. Utterly delightful, add to it comfortable seats and ticket prices that are not ridiculous and it adds up to a 5 star evening!!

Well clearly my view would be influenced by the show I saw and under that criteria it was BAD. The stage and house are nice if a bit wide, but the lobby is too small and the bathrooms are a joke. A line forms inside the bathroom and each person at the end of the line gets hit everytime someone tried to come in. The staff was helpful. It's great to have so many theater choices in the Berkshires, but better attention should be paid to the output.
